The following pages contain entries from the journal of one Twilight Sparkle, pertaining to the events of the Ponyville Incident beginning on the 18th of the Summer Solstice, 1789 CR. As the result of successful field testing of Agent 385 under General [Redacted] orders.

14th of the Summer Solstice, 1789 CR

I really don’t write in this thing as often as I should, but it hard to find the time to. Anyway to day I was at Fluttershy’s trying to help her with the animals. I didn't think there could be much I could do but she said that they were really spooked about something and she needed help calming them down. We were able to get them to calm a little but not much, Fluttershy said she has no idea what has gotten into them. She was acting a little strange though, she seemed tired and she kept scratching herself like she was itchy every were. I asked her about it but she said she was fine, she just wasn't sleeping well.

17th of the Summer Solstice, 1789 CR

Rarity showed up today asking if I knew were Fluttershy was, she hadn't shown up for their weekly spa visit. I told her I hadn't seen her since I help her with her animals a few days ago. So she told me she was going to go check up on her. While it not usual for me not to see Fluttershy for a few days at a time like this, with her and her animals and me and my studies. She has never to my knowledge missed one of her and Rarity’s spa trips. This is strange; I’m going to have to go figure this out tomorrow. It’s probably nothing to worry about though maybe her animals were proving to be a bit more of a hassle so she could leave them.

18th of the Summer Solstice, 1789 CR

Rarity found Fluttershy, but I was wrong, I don’t know what happened, she said she found her passed out in her cottage and that all of the animals were gone. Fluttershy is in the hospital now, she was covered in these strange lesions and her fur seemed to be falling out in patches. The doctors said they have no idea what it is but they are trying and so am I. But with no luck so far, I’m going through every book I have that might say anything about this, even that one about supernatural stuff. The doctors told me not to worry and that they would find something but I don’t believe them. I could see it in their faces they were scared, I’m going to send a letter to Princess Celestia about this maybe she has some idea of what this is. The others are taking this pretty hard, Applejack is being strong for everypony and I’m trying to be too but it’s hard. I don’t know how she does it sometime

19th of the Summer Solstice, 1789 CR

We all visited Fluttershy today she is getting worse very quickly and I don’t think that there will be much time to find a solution at this point. She is losing more fur and sweating a lot, she woke up for a little while and we got to talk to her but she didn't say much, it seemed like it hurt her to talk. Rarity seems to be taking this the hardest, she looked very upset and wasn't talking much, she seemed a little sweating too but I didn't say anything about it. I know how she can be about those things and I don’t want to offend her especially at a time like this. I still can’t find any references to anything like what’s happening to Fluttershy and it’s frustrating. The princess wrote back, her message was very smooth written, she said that it was nothing to worry about and it would be taken care of quickly. She didn't say anymore but I know something is going on whatever this is its very contagious and very bad. She’s hiding something.

20th of the Summer Solstice, 1789 CR

Royal guards showed up today and blocked off the entire town, I can’t believe Celestia would do that to us. She isn't helping us she just quarantined the town. Is that what she meant by it would be taken care of quickly just roping of the town and letting us suffer.

21st of the Summer Solstice, 1789 CR

A bunch of ponies are starting to act weird now, just like Fluttershy. I told all my friends to stay away from them but if it gets much worse I think we are all going to need to go to Sweet Apple Acres to get away from this. I think Rarity is infected with whatever this is, she was acting just like Fluttershy before this all happened,  she keeps insisting she is fine but I can see the hair that’s starting to some loose, the thin patches forming. I know she needs to be kept away from everypony else but I can’t do that to her, she’s my friend.

23rd of the Summer Solstice, 1789 CR

Fluttershy died yesterday, she looked horrible in the end, she only had a few patches of fur left and she almost weighed nothing, just skin and bone. I don’t know how much longer I can take this, it just keeps getting worse. Me and the rest of the girls and going to Sweet Apple Acres, it’s not safe here anymore, and as much as I hate myself for saying it, we aren't telling Rarity. It’s too obvious that she is sick even if she isn’t in the hospital yet and I can’t risk losing all of my friend’s even if means leaving her.

It’s the only LOGICAL thing to do.

24th of the Summer Solstice, 1789 CR

We couldn't find Rainbow Dash but everyone else is here, last I heard of Rarity is that she was taken to the hospital. Which is overrun at this point with sick ponies, the whole systems breaking down, NOTHING makes sense anymore. Applejack is trying to stay strong for her family and us but I can tell she can’t take much more of this, she’s cracking, we’re all cracking. Apple Bloom is devastated and keeps asking about Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle (I can only guess that their dead by now). Pinkie’s mane is straight like it was at Gummies after party, she hasn't said a word, she just stares at the window. I’m worried for her.

26th of the Summer Solstice, 1789 CR

Rainbow Dash showed up today, it perked everypony up, but the stories she told of what has been going on in Ponyville quickly destroyed that. She said that the town is near deserted at this point and there are royal guards making sure no pony leaves. She said she even saw them shoot down a pegasus that tried to fly out. I have begun writing down anything I know about this disease, trying to study it, figure out how it works. But all I really have so are the symptoms, which seem to start with a fever and itchiness followed by hair loss and lesions, I can only guess that it causes death through organ failure but there is no way for me to know. It is readily transmittable through air.

27th of the Summer Solstice, 1789 CR

Rainbow Dash hasn't moved from the corner she sat in for a while now, although none of us move around much, there is no point. All of the windows are boarded up so it’s too dark to really do anything, but I won’t risk anypony knowing we are here. No pony seems sick, I checked everypony not long ago and they all seemed fine which was a great relief. Maybe we can all make it out of this and things can go back to normal. I know it will never be the same, Fluttershy’s gone, Rarity’s gone and I don’t even know what happened to Spike. It’s funny I use to never have the time to write in this stupid thing, now is the only thing to do in this place.

28th ... it doesn't matter anymore

It’s over, I don’t know what to do, Rainbow’s sick, she though it was nothing and was trying to hide it but I got up to check on her and she was a mess. She had those patches that were beginning to form but no lesions yet; she looked so tired and hurt. The Apples went to another room of the farm house after they found out. I know I should stay away from her too but I don’t care anymore, I give up. We’re all going to die and I’m not going to let her go without a little comfort, I held her for a while. I wasn't even really sure she noticed until she asked me something. She told me to kill her; she said it was best for all of us if she was gone, that it was better if she died to save the rest of us. I can’t do that, I've lost too many friends already, Pinkie could take the news and she just left, I don’t know where she went but she’s gone now and I can’t loss Rainbow too.

It’s been a few days since I found out Rainbow was sick, it’s just us now, everypony else is gone and the Apples left a while ago for the Everfree Forest. I don’t blame them Applejack just wants to keep her family safe. Rainbow is getting really bad now and I can feel myself starting to get sick. I keep sweating and my head won’t stop pounding. I can’t keep this up much longer, I know Rainbow and I don’t have much time left. I wish I could just see my parents again, if they’re still alive, I don’t know if this thing ever got out of Ponyville, I pray to Celestia that it didn't.

It’s been a couple of days since my last entry, I don’t even know what day it is now. Rainbows dead, I was just holding her, she had been too weak to move for a while now, when she just stopped breathing. It was so sudden, one moment she was there, the next she was gone. I don’t want to go like that; too weak to be able to even lift my own head. I think I’m done now, I won’t die like that...

To whoever finds this journal, if there is anypony even left, please tell my parents

Journal entries termination at this point, reports show that it was found (as the journal states) with its owner unicorn, Twilight Sparkle and the pegasus Rainbow Dash in the home Ms. Applejack. The pegasus unmistakably having passed due to infection from Agent 385 the unicorn while infected died from self-inflicted wounds caused by broken window panes. Further investigation is required as to the where abouts of earth ponies Applejack, Apple Bloom, and Big Macintosh. All of whom are possibly infected posing a possible containment breach. The remaining family member Ms. Smith was found deceased with in the Ponyville hospital and is of no risk.

In the event of containment breach suggested course of action: Initiate Contingency Protocol
