In the 3600th year of our majesty, Princess Celestia, the second Griffon war broke out. I fought in it. I saw blood flow through streets, limbs strewn across the ground, and good friends die in front of me. My squad fought in many battles throughout the country, most ending in utter defeat and heavy casualties. Though, with everything I saw, one image will be forever burned into my mind, the picture of my squad leader, a very brave sergeant, charging into enemy lines with a weapon in his hooves and a cigar in his mouth.
