The Pet

By the time I left Ponyville General, the moon was high in the sky, and it was dark enough I wouldn’t have to think quite as much about sneaking around. Just as importantly, my crotch no longer hurt like hell, which is always nice. I found an out of the way street lamp and managed to read a bit of Spiral Dream’s file. Light brown coat, dark blue mane, unicorn… address. I had what I needed.

Make no mistake, I was having the time of my life with all this power, but it felt like something was missing. Discord was top dog, and I took pains to remind myself of that, lest I get cocky and end up punished. I didn’t even want to think of what he could come up with. Still, with all the power at my disposal, I didn’t feel like some sort of underling. I needed a minion, and after stopping a passing stallion for directions, I was on my way to having one.

The address turned out to be a small, comfortable looking house just a bit past where Ponyville’s buildings started to thin out. I couldn’t be reckless, getting in or in what I did out here, but there was enough privacy that reasonable discretion would let me pretty well do as I pleased indoors. I made sure nopony was looking, and went around back to try a door. Ah, Ponyville, such a trusting place. Entry was a non-issue.

Before I started searching the house for Spiral Dream, I halted time once more, moving quickly. The cozy size kept me from running out of time—in a moonlit upstairs bedroom, I found her, and just for the hell of it, took a chance. I allowed time to restart while I stood right in front of her.

Sometimes, you know, I think Discord is onto something. Sure, the world the way he’d run it would be confusing as hell, but there would be so very many fun moments! As I saw Spiral Dream’s eyes practically bug out of her head, and her jaw drop, I think I understood my mad benefactor just a bit better. You really should have seen her face.

Before she could react, though, I had tapped her on the head, and calmly looked her up and down. As described, light brown fur, blue mane, little horn poking through. Cute. Very cute, honestly. Certainly no supermodel, but I wouldn’t kick her out of bed—hell, in a few minutes, I’d be joining her in one. Craning my neck just a bit, I took a look at her cutie mark and was surprised to see a watch not unlike the one on my neck, with a spiral pattern on the face. I was dramatically more surprised to see that flank move!

I tried to take a step backwards, but her horn was aglow instantly, and I felt amazingly content to simply stay right where I was. In fact, all I really wanted to do was to look at her horn—such an amazingly beautiful thing. I wondered idly why I hadn’t thought it was so lovely a moment ago, but discarded the question as irrelevant. I started to slump toward the floor.

Spiral’s voice was calm, peaceful. Not at all the angry, harsh sound you’d expect from a mare whose home had just been broken into. Listening was an absolute pleasure, and I felt my eyelids sag peacefully as she looked down at me and spoke.

“Good. Just relax and fall asleep.” That sounded like wonderful advice, and I couldn’t believe just how nice it was to let go. I was definitely going to have to make her do this for me again once she was my pet.

Pet! Her, not me! This wasn’t what was supposed to happen! I struggled, shook my head, and finally managed to raise a hoof to hers. Spiral gasped, and I pressed harder, not really sure if it worked like that, but desperate to try anything that might save my sorry flank. Spiral’s eyes lost some of their focus, much more slowly than any of my previous victims. As her gaze wandered to some distant point in front of her, her horn’s glow flickered, and finally died. I was free, but I didn’t let up. I kept my hoof in place on the side of her head until her eyes were half closed. Until she slumped fully to the floor. Until she began to drool. This mare was dangerous! As I regained some sense of calm, I realize that dangerous also meant useful.

I whispered into her ear. Its position on the floor wasn’t far from my muzzle, she’d come so close to beating me. “Almost had me, didn’t you? That’s not how it’s going to play out. You’re my pet. My eager, fawning, utterly loyal pet, and I am your master. Earning my appreciation matters more than anything to you. Winning my affection would make your life complete. Anything from rewarding you with sex to a pat on the head or a scratch behind your ears delights you, and anything I say is the absolute truth. Do you understand?”

I don’t know if it meant she was more deeply controlled or less, but instead of a nod, Spiral’s only response was a sluggish moan. I took it as a good sign. “Wake up.”

Waking took Spiral a little longer than most of my victims, and she wore a very confused expression—right up until she saw me. Her ears perked, and she bounced to her hooves in a shot. “Master! Hi!”

I finally took to my own hooves as well, and was not nearly as enthusiastic. The ego I’d been building fucking any pony I chose had taken something of a bruising, and I was annoyed. It showed in my tone. “Hello. How did you break free a moment ago?”

Like a scolded dog, Spiral hung her head. Her response was clear, but she seemed ashamed of herself. I was glad. That was just the kind of reaction she should have when I’m displeased, and seeing my new pet be properly contrite went a long way toward soothing my mood.

“Um… well, I guess you know what my special talent is now. I had a few spells on myself to block magic like mine. Not that it’s common or anything! But, it was good practice. I’m sorry, Master; they got in your way, didn’t they? But you broke them! So… it’s okay, right?” Spiral shuffled a hoof contritely, and her ears lay flat against her head. There was no question her apology wasn’t heartfelt, or that she wasn’t sufficiently afraid of upsetting me. Honestly, it was all I could do not to laugh. Here I was, in this mare’s bedroom uninvited, and she was desperately afraid I’d be angry with her for resisting. She was forgiven. There was no way I could stay upset. I wondered if this was a new threat: obedience so adorable I couldn’t handle it. Just how dangerous was Spiral, anyway?

“Yes, Spiral, it’s okay. In fact, you’re perfect. I want you to do something for me, though.” At the word “perfect,” Spiral Dream’s head and ears had both snapped upright, her eyes shone, and her smile practically lit the room. This one was a keeper.

“What? What is it, Master?”

“A little test. I want you to go out, find a very pretty mare, and hypnotize her. Bring her back here.”

Spiral’s dark blue mane bounced on her head as she nodded frantically. “Yes! Right aw—”

“No! Not now!” I laughed just a bit at her enthusiasm, but even I had had enough for one day. I wanted sleep. “I’m tired, Spiral. I’m going to bed. You too.”

If anything, Spiral’s smile widened, happy her master wanted her to stay. Shaking my head a little at her enthusiasm, I climbed into her bed, and scooted to the far side.

Spiral looked around her room, as if the bed were now off limits. “Um… where should I sleep?”

I smiled and patted the empty spot next to me. “Right here.” Spiral positively bounded up, laying down carefully afterward, making certain not to crowd me. I certainly appreciated the deference, but space wasn’t what I wanted, and I slid back over, tossing a foreleg over her, and burying my muzzle in her mane.

As I fell asleep, I was sure I felt Spiral shaking with excitement.

As the sun rose, hours later, I sat bolt upright, shocked not to be home, and when I remembered what had gone on the day before, even more shocked that it hadn’t all just been a dream. As my heart slowed down from the early morning surprises, I ruminated how much more likely heart attacks are to happen in the morning, and briefly on the fact that Spiral Dream wasn’t in bed next to me. The second didn’t warrant much thought at all; I smelled eggs from downstairs, and smiled. My new pet was thoughtful.

I headed downstairs, paying attention to my surroundings and learning the house—I hadn’t had time or light for that the night before. Mostly, though, I followed the smell of food. One piece of cake for all of the day before had left me starving. As I entered, Spiral turned, smiling, and hurried to put food on the table for me.

“Hi master! I see you woke up.” Never let it be said that Spiral wasn’t observant.

Nodding to her, you know, just in case she needed confirmation that I’d gotten up, I took a place at the table and started to eat the breakfast she set before me. For her benefit, I gave her a smile as I chewed. She was no master chef, but it was certainly better than food I made myself. She returned the smile, apparently delighted by mine. I was really coming to enjoy having Spiral around already.

As I ate, Spiral watched proudly. I no sooner finished the last bite than she hopped to her hooves again with an announcement. “I got you a present!”

I raised an eyebrow, curious. I don’t generally prefer my surprises so early in the morning, but I make exceptions for presents. Coming from a mare as eager as Spiral, wouldn’t you? Without waiting for more of a response than that, Spiral trotted off into another room, returning with two pegasi in tow. Two obviously deeply hypnotized pegasi.

“You did say you wanted me to get a pretty mare, and I did! Buuut… her brother caught me, so I had to put him under too. I brought you both! They obey me, since I caught them, but I told them to obey you, too.”

I have to admit, I was impressed. Not only did she bring what I asked for, when trouble arose, she turned it into a bonus. They were even obviously twins—same blue coats, same light green manes, same penises hanging below—wait a minute. Brother?

“Well done, Spiral! I… don’t have much use for a stallion, though.” I gave her a smile to console her, but this time, that didn’t cut it. Spiral looked ready to cry, and as soon as I saw that, I felt like I had just told a filly that Hearth’s Warming Eve was called off this year—and every other. How the hell was she doing this to me?

Just before the first tear fell, I raised a hoof, half panicked. “Wait! Wait, it’s perfectly fine, Spiral. You did an amazing job. I’ll tell you what: I don’t have much use for a stallion—but you deserve a reward. You can do whatever you like with him.” I gestured to the stallion, trying to make him seem like a grand prize. To my very great relief, it worked.

Not only did Spiral shut off the waterworks, she started hopping happily, and looking eagerly at her new toy. So I didn’t get quite as big a present as Spiral meant to give. There’s nothing wrong with “his and hers” sex toys. Thinking that stopped me dead for a moment—”His and hers?” I was going to have to do something to remind Spiral of her place. No—to remind me of mine.

For the moment, though, I just watched as Spiral happily led the pegasus stallion out of the kitchen, and turned my focus to my little pony.
