After the six friends got off the teacups, Rainbow immediately wanted to go on a roller coaster, but the rest of the friends wanted to take it step by step. Now they were walking around looking for a ride. "Hey Rainbow, how bout' that one?" Applejack said, pointing a tall blue ride. From the looks of it, Twilight thought, it was one of those rides that flipped you upside down. "Better, but cooler" Rainbow replied. "Well to bad Rainbow, were going on this one first" Applejack said, starting to drag Rainbow towards the ride. The rest of the friends followed. There was no line, so the six friends got on. Twilight sat on the end, and Fluttershy sat next to her. The shy Pegasus was looking quite nervous. Rarity sat next to Fluttershy, and Pinkie next to Rarity. Applejack and Rainbow sat in the row in front of them. "Please keep your hooves inside the ride, and enjoy" With that statement, the Inverser started up. Restrainers lowered down, holding its occupants in place. Metal bars clamped them firmly in place. It then started swinging back and forth, preparing to flip the riders upside down. Being a unicorn, Twilight Sparkle did not fancy the idea of being flipped upside down in the air. She screamed when the ride stopped when it was upside down. "If this is what being a Pegasus is like, no thanks. " She thought. Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie were also screaming, but out of fun. Applejack and Rainbow Dash, however, were having a great time up front, both throwing their hooves in the air. Rainbow was happy with the ride because it flipped upside down in circles, like the stunts she did. Applejack, being and earth pony, did not get the opportunity to fly and do stunts in the air, seemed to be having the best time. She forgot to take of her stetson before she got on, and was thus holding on to it with one of her hooves. Twilight let out a squeal of fun. She had to admit, this was better than sitting in a library all day. She was used to the idea of being flipped upside down now, and could handle it better. The ride was slowing down now. It slowed to a stop and the restraints lifted. Twilight waited until her friends got off, then got off herself. It felt weird with her hooves on the ground after being in the air for so long. She walked off the ramp and met her friends at the bottom. "Where are we going now, Twilight darling?" Rarity asked.
Roller Coasters - Part 1View OnlineRoller coasters, bumper cars, and other ThingsRoller Coasters - Part 1Twilight Sparkle stood soaking in the roller coaster line. The line wasn't actually that long, so the six friends were next in line. Rainbow Dash had insisted that they ride the roller coaster with the most loops, corkscrews, and drops. Her friends reluctantly agreed. Twilight had gotten rid of the map because it was so wet and falling apart. They now had to rely on Twilight and Dash for directions on where to go, but Dash wasn't so reliable. They ended up walking for fifteen minutes trying to find the roller coasters. Twilight was so lost in thought that she almost missed the roller coaster cars coming into station. The other ponies got out. Rainbow Dash sat in the back car with Pinkie Pie. They said it had more wind that the rest of the cars (they were right, though). Rarity sat in the car in front of them with Fluttershy .Twilight and Applejack sat in front of them. The ponies on the ride fastened their seat belts, and the roller coaster started up. The roller coaster started up a steep hill. After a few seconds, it reached the top. Twilight then realized how many loops and drops there were. But before she had time to think, the roller coaster sped down the drop. Twilight Sparkle screamed. Her stomach felt like it was rising to her throat. Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, however, were used to this sort of feeling and held their hooves up over their heads. Even Rarity and Fluttershy had their hooves up. Twilight took a deep breath and held her hooves up over her head. It felt.....nice. By now the roller coaster had come to a series of loops. Twilight took another breath and put her hooves back down. She did not like the feeling of being flipped upside down and having the blood rush to your head. The feeling only lasted for a few seconds, however, as the ride leveled out. It didn't last long, though. They approached the second loop. Twilight felt the blood rushing to her head. She gripped the restraints, for fear of falling off. She could hear Pinkie and Dash having the time of their lives, and Rarity complaining about her mane. Twilight smiled. If her friends where happy, then she was happy too. The second loop had ended, and now they approached a corkscrew. Twilight put her hooves up again. She was beginning to enjoy the feeling of the wind in her mane. The cars spun around the corkscrew. It ended, and soon they were at the top of another drop, but this time it was smaller. Twilight screamed out of fun this time as the cars rocketed down the slope. At the end of the slope, however, was the station. The cars slowed and came to a stop. Twilight got out of her seat, with Applejack close behind. She met the rest the rest of her friends at the exit. "Where are we going next, Twilight, darling?" Rarity asked. "More roller coasters, Rarity" Twilight replied. With that remark, the six friends followed Twilight to the next ride.
Roller Coasters - Part 2View OnlineRoller coasters, bumper cars, and other ThingsRoller Coasters - Part 2"Oh, hey, lets go on that one!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, unable to contain her excitement. She was pointing to a another roller coaster, and from what Twilight could see, it had an 80 foot drop. She gulped. "Certainly not, Rainbow Dash!" Rarity said. "It will mess up my hair...besides, I don't want experience that feeling when you drop from that high up." Fluttershy nodded. "Um...I don't want to go on it either....it looks scary. We'll wait for you at the entrance." Rainbow jumped in the air and hovered above the two friends. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and you want to wait at the entrance!?" The cyan pegasus was going to say more, but a certain pink pony interrupted. "Aw, come on Dashie. If they want to miss out, that's their problem." The pink pony said, wearing her usual smile. " We'll meet you by the gate. Let's go!" Pinkie turned and started walking toward the entrance. The rest of the friends started walking toward the entrance, save for Rarity and Fluttershy. The top of the ride started on a platform three stories of the ground. After a few minutes, it began its ascent upwards. After a second of being at the top of the ride, it began the drop downwards. The four friends began to climb up the stairs, and since there was nopony in line, made it to the top relatively quickly. It was then when Rainbow Dash arranged the seating chart. "Okay, Twilight, you can sit in the last car so you can feel what real adrenaline is like. Pinkie -" no sooner than those words can out from her mouth, Twilight interrupted. "Rainbow Dash, I know what adrenaline feels like! I've felt it before tests! Remember me freaking out at the library before we went to the Crystal Empire? Dash chuckled. "Of course I remember Twilight, my memory is awesome. But what I mean is, you have never felt real adrenaline until you do something like this. The way your stomach feels when it's rising up into your throat is different from running around looking for quills and paper." Twilight sighed. "Give me a moment to think, Rainbow." The purple unicorn closed her eyes and thought. After a few minutes, she made her decision. Twilight sat in the back of the roller coaster with Pinkie Pie. Applejack and Rainbow Dash sat in front of them. Rainbow turned around ."Hey, we're moving!" She said, turning back to face the front. Indeed they were. Twilight felt the tracks moving under her. But she soon abandoned that thought as the roller coaster picked up speed going around the first curve. The purple unicorn held onto the safety bar in front of her. She heard Pinkie giggling beside her. "Isn't this fun, Twilight?" Pinkie managed to say between giggles. Twilight didn't answer as she was staring up at the climb before the drop. The roller coaster jerked and began the slow climb upwards. It was then that Rainbow turned around again. "Now it's time for the most awesome part, Twilight. You will feel twenty percent cooler after this is done." The cyan Pegasus said, before turning back to the front. It was then that Twilight noticed they were at the top of the climb. The cars stopped for a minute, then dropped down. The lavender pony felt her stomach rise up into her throat as the coaster continued to drop. About halfway down, it took all her power not to throw up. After that feeling was gone, she screamed. Because Twilight has closed her eyes, she hadn't seen what was coming next. So when she opened her eyes, she was in total darkness. Nervous about where she was, she started feeling around for somepony. Her left hoof soon bumped into a certain party pony. "Pinkie?" Twilight asked, her voice shaking. "Yes?" "Oh. Where are we?" Twilight asked. "We're underground, silly!" Pinkie replied. Twilight was about to answer when the coaster went around a sharp curve and out into the light. After a few more seconds, the coaster pulled into the station. After the ride operator undid the safety bars, the four friends got out and onto the platform. Twilight's legs were shaking so much that it was hard for her to stand. Slowly, the friends went down the staircase in search of Fluttershy and Rarity. Author's Note Here is the long awaited chapter!
Snack BreakView OnlineRoller coasters, bumper cars, and other ThingsSnack BreakAfter riding the nauseating roller coaster, the four friends went down the stairs and out to the entrance to look for Rarity and Fluttershy. Since Applejack was the first to notice they weren't on the bench, they started to look around the area. "Where could they have gone?" Pinkie Pie said, looking under a rock. "Surprise!" a voice said from a distance away. The friends turned to see Rarity and Fluttershy walking towards them, Rarity levitating multiple items. Once the unicorn and Pegasus reached their friends, Rarity revealed what she was carrying in her magic. Six little cups of ice cream, each in a different flavor. Fluttershy smiled. "We thought since you were riding the roller coaster, Rarity and I would go to the concession stand and get us all ice cream," she said. "We have raspberry for Twilight, rainbow sherbet for Dash, rocky road for Applejack, birthday bash for Pinkie, plain vanilla for me, and butterscotch for Fluttershy." Rarity said, while passing out the cups. Twilight took her cup in her magic. "Wow, thank you for your generosity, you two." Rarity and Fluttershy smiled. "You're welcome, darling." Rarity responded. "Yeah, thanks!" Rainbow Dash said, her mouth full of rainbow sherbet ice cream. After a few minutes, the six friends finished their ice cream. Rarity grasped the empty cups in her magi, walked to the nearest trash can, and threw them away. Rainbow smiled. "All right, where should we go next?" The Gravity ThingView OnlineRoller coasters, bumper cars, and other ThingsThe Gravity ThingThe Mane 6 had finished their ice cream and were now deciding on what ride to go on next, but they weren't getting anywhere quickly. Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie wanted something epic (like another roller coaster), while Fluttershy and Rarity wanted something calmer. Twilight Sparkle personally agreed with Rarity and Fluttershy, as the roller coaster ride didn't really work out for her. The two sides continued their argument. "But Rainbow Dash, you got to decide on the ride last time. And besides, let's go on a ride that we all agree on." Rarity said, looking at Rainbow. "Yeah, but Rarity, roller coasters are the best rides ever, so we need to go on another one!" Rainbow said, hovering slightly in front of Rarity. "Um...I agree with Rarity....I mean, if it's okay with you....." Fluttershy said, ducking her head and hiding behind her pink mane. "Aww, it's okay Fluttershy, we can still have fun!" Pinkie Pie bounced over to Fluttershy, squeezing her into a hug. "We can go on something a little less crazy this time!" Applejack nodded. "Good idea, Pinkie. Somethin' less crazy." Fluttershy gave a small smile. "I'd like that." Rarity, Twilight, and Rainbow, (reluctantly) nodded their heads in agreement as well. After taking a look at their new map, Twilight had ruled some of the crazier rides, which was mostly roller coaster or rides that rides that involved getting wet. Rainbow Dash soon spotted a ride on the map. "Hey, how 'bout that one?" she asked, pointing to the spot with her wing. "That one doesn't do loop-the-loops, spirals, and you stay dry. You just spin around in fast circles which causes you to stick to the wall due to the excess gravity. What do you say?" Twilight looked quizzical. " I don't know, Rainbow. That still sounds like a really crazy ride." Rainbow stood her ground. "Yeah, but it's tamer than the roller coaster, Twilight!" Twilight signed. "All right, Rainbow, let's go...." The six friends got on the ride relatively fast, as the line wasn't majorly long. Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie went on first, followed by Applejack, Twilight, Rarity, and finally Fluttershy. It had taken a little convincing to get Fluttershy and Rarity to go on the ride, but at last they reluctantly agreed. "It's really quit simple," Pinkie said, bouncing to her spot. "You just stand on your hind feet, and then let the force of gravity will make you stick to the wall!" As soon as everypony had found where they wanted to stand, the ride operator said a few words, and the ride started up. After a few seconds, Twilight felt her body get heavier. As the ride started spinning faster, Twilight felt extremely heavy and she was completely stuck to the wall behind her. That was all she noticed, until the floor dropped down a few feet, letting the ponies on the ride stick to the wall without support from the ground. Twilight looked around. Pinkie Pie was sideways, Rainbow Dash was upside down, Applejack was diagonal, and Fluttershy, Rarity, and herself were standing up on their hind feet. She also noticed that Fluttershy was getting teary eyed and Rarity was screaming about how her mane was getting messed up, while Pinkie, Rainbow and Applejack where smiling. As for Twilight herself, she was starting to get kind of queasy. It took all her willpower not to throw up. Finally, after what seemed like hours, the ride started slowing down. Twilight could feel the floor underneath her hooves once again. She could see that Pinkie, Rainbow, and Applejack were standing upright again. When the ride stopped completely, Twilight forcefully feel back down on her front hooves. The world was spinning so much..... "You okay, Twilight?" The unicorn could hear Applejack ash her. "Yeah, I'm fine." Twilight replied, as she was starting to feel better and more balanced. "But can we please go on a calmer ride now?" Entrance and TeacupsView OnlineRoller coasters, bumper cars, and other ThingsEntrance and Teacups"I can't believe we're finally going!" Pinkie Pie said, bouncing around her friends. "I mean, we've been planning this trip for months, and the day has finally come!" "Relax, Pinkie, we're almost there" Twilight replied. It was originally Pinkie and Rainbow's idea to go to the park to get Twilight away from the books for a little bit, to "make some memories," they said, and Twilight reluctantly agreed. Now, they were on the train to the park, an hour away from Fillydelphia. Once Pinkie heard that they were only a few minutes away, she wouldn't stop bouncing. "Hey Pinkie, we're here!" Rainbow Dash said, pointing to the park. Indeed they were. From the train window, Twilight could already see the roller coasters and other rides. She had to admit it, it looked pretty fun. Once they exited the train, they walked to the entrance way. They were greeted by an earth pony mare, whose name tag read "Sugar Swirl" "Tickets, please" she said in a sweet tone. Twilight handed her her ticket. Sugar checked it off, and allowed her entry to the park. She did the same for the rest of her friends. "Lets go to the roller coasters first!" Rainbow Dash said as soon as she got in. Twilight picked up a map of the park. The roller coasters where located at the back of the park. The more calmer and slower rides where located at the front, and concessions where located everywhere. "Why don't we ride a more....well, slower and calmer ride, Rainbow. I don't want my mane to get messed up." Rarity signed. " I vote for calm" Fluttershy nervously said. "Like teacups...um...if its OK with you...I mean" Twilight agreed to the teacup idea as their first ride. It wasn't to far off, and wasn't that fast. "Teacups it is" The line for the ride wasn't that long, presumably because it was still early morning. The group of friends choose the purple teacup. Well, actually, Rarity chose it. It matched her hair, apparently. "Please keep your hooves inside the ride, and enjoy" With that, the operator started up the ride. Twilight felt the ride start up. It started slow, then gradually got faster, all the while spinning in circles. "Hey Pinkie! Rainbow Dash said, grinning. "You can make the cup go faster by using your body weight when the turns come!" "Okie dokie lokie! Lets try it!" The next time the turn came around, Pinkie and Dash both leaned in the same direction, making the cup go faster. Applejack soon joined in, and even Rarity. After a few minutes, the ride started slowing down, then coming to a stop. The group got off, still slightly dizzy form the ordeal. Twilight pulled out the map again. " Now where to, girls?" RapidsView OnlineRoller coasters, bumper cars, and other ThingsRapids"Where are we going now, Twilight darling?" Rarity asked. Twilight took out the map. "Well, we're close to a water ride, so should we ride that?" Her friends nodded, and they headed of towards the ride. As they walked across a bridge, they could see a small line of ponies waiting to ride. "So while we're waiting, which ride to we want to ride next? " Twilight asked her friends. "We could go to the roller coasters or something to dry us off afterwards......" "Rollercoastersrollercoastersrollercoasters!!" Rainbow Dash said without hesitation. "Roller coasters it is then" Twilight replied. By now, they were next in line to go on the rapids ride. The raft was circular in shape, and had eight seats, one for each of the friends, and two extra. In the middle of the raft there was a wheel-shaped object for them to hold on to. Twilight got in first, followed by Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. Twilight and Rarity sat at the back, while Pinkie and Fluttershy sat on the right hand side. Rainbow and Applejack sat up front. The raft jerked forward. It went off a ramp onto the bright blue water below. The waves started crashing against the raft. The six ponies could feel the water droplets splashing against the back of their heads. "Everypony, look, giant waves!" Twilight shouted to her friends. To late. The waves smashed against, the raft, soaking its occupants. Unfortunately, Twilight and Rarity got the full impact of the wave. They now sat soaking, riding down the water. "Oh, my hair" Rarity screamed, her purple mane no longer in its normally fashionable state, but hanging down, straight as a stick. Rainbow and Applejack started to laugh, but got cut off a wave crashed into the front of the raft. There manes were now in the same state as both Rarity's and Twilight's manes. The path that the ride was taking was now heading for a tunnel. Above the tunnel, however, there was a giant waterfall, which plummeted down on the six friends, making them even more wet. Inside the tunnel, they bumped into more rocks, jerking back and forth with each hit. Twilight could see the end of the tunnel. Just like the entrance, there was a waterfall. This one however, was a bit different. Instead of water falling over the entire exit, this one fell over only half of the exit. There a also a rock, designed to push rafts into the waterfall. Twilight guessed what would happen before it happened. Her prediction was correct. The raft slammed into the rock, throwing it off course and aiming it towards the waterfall. Water again pored down on the six ponies, soaking them even more. They were now at the end of the ride. All six friends were soaking wet. The raft went up the ramp and stopped so they could all get out. Once they were out, Twilight pulled out the map, which was now soaking. "Let's go to the roller coasters now, girls" Author's Note Sorry these chapters are so short.....
