Chapters Pony High - Freshman Year
Jake's Journal - Second Entry
So, this morning Sam and I woke up too early. We've always been a bit volatile when it comes to daily routines. After we got dressed and such, we trotted downstairs and made breakfast. We, as always, left enough in the fridge for our parents to eat. after this, we flew to the library to meet up with our friends. Sam immediately flew off with Rainbow Dash in a race to school, and I walked with my fellow party-lover, Pinkie Pie. We walked our separate ways when we got to school, so Ariana didn't get the wrong idea about me. Pinkie may be wild and crazy, but she keeps secrets. She understands the situation.
After this, I walked into first period and sat down in my seat behind Ariana. Her bright red mane was looking especially lovely that day. I leaned forward. A bit too far forward. My nose brushed her mane and she turned around. "Um - uh, - uh." I stammered. "I'm - um - I'm sorry. I - uh, gotta go." I galloped out of the room. I sat in the school library until lunch, running over and over in my mind how I could have handled it better.
I went to lunch two minutes early, so I could avoid running into Ariana in the lunch line. I waited for Sam to get there. After I explained what happened, we sat down on the opposite side of the lunchroom we normally do, because Ariana and Sara were sitting over there. Sam was unusually quiet. I wondered if the same kind of thing had happened to him. Regardless, there was a sudden scream, and everypony turned to see Rainbow Dash and some other mare wrestling near the door. One of the teachers trotted over, and was simply kicked out of the way. Then somepoy through their cupcake at the fighting mares. It hit Rainbow Dash in the face. She flew over to the colt and slammed his tray in his face. That's when the food fight began.
Within five seconds, Sam and I were covered in food. We figured it was the same everywhere else. We realized it at the same time. When I yelled "Ariana!" Sam yelled "Sara!" We both unfurled our wings, when I remembered the rule. As Sam took off, I grabbed his hoof and pulled him back down. "No flying, remember?" I said. He sighed and mumbled something under his breath. Then we galloped into the crossfire of flying food, hopped over an unconscious teacher, and eventually made it to Sara and Ariana. They'd been smart enough to flip over a table and hide behind it, so they weren't entirely doused in food.
When we got there, we stood in front of their little table fort and fended off anypony who came towards us. Then one big colt came towards Sam. He flew into the air and kicked the colt in the face. Everyone stopped fighting and looked at Sam, as the colt with a now bloody nose staggered back.Well, Jake was called to the office, and he got suspended. After that, I simply galloped off into the crowd, not wanting to have to face Ariana. I flew home. That's really all that happened that day.
Pony High - Freshman Year
Jake's Journal - First Entry
It was the first day of school. Thanks to Pinkie Pie, my stepbrother Sam and I had partied too hard the night before. So, we were late to school. The night before, my mentor, DJ PON-3, had taught me some new mixing lessons as a "Back To School Present." Her and Pinkie Pie were two of the only three reasons I'd gone. (The third was the mare of my dreams, Ariana! Sadly, she hadn't been there.) Rainbow Dash had been, there, too. She'd spent the entire night pulling pranks. Thanks to this, I managed to get my head soaked in punch about twelve times.
Well, Sam and I woke up two hours late. Our parents expected us to wake up and go to school ourselves, so they didn't bother checking if we had woken up. Sam was still asleep, mumbling something about Sara. (I forgot to mention, Sam like a mare named Sara.) I pushed Sam out of his bed. He hit the ground with a thud, then started to yell at me. I pressed my hoof against his face. "Shh!" I whispered. "If Mom and Dad know we're not at school, we're dead!" Sam nodded. We quietly got dressed, then flew out of the window.
I suppose I should explain Sara and Ariana. Sara is Sam's crush. She's a mare with a personality that's really wild and out there. She can do parkour like nopony I've ever seen before. Sam, however, is really sophisticated and down to earth. He's had to purposefully drop his grades and become wild all the time to get on Sara's good side. Ariana is my crush. She's a very sophisticated and smart mare, so I've had to change from being wild and out there like Sara, to being a very smart, down to earth colt.
Now I should explain our cutie marks. We'd lived in Canterlot for the first half of our lives, until our parents met. After we finished elementary school, we moved to Ponyville. We were extremely late getting our cutie marks. I got mine when I met my mentor, DJ PON-3. I got a vinyl scratch record. Sam got a -----. I'm not sure how he got it, though. Being that our cutie marks were of our actual personalities, and no the fake ones we'd adopted to get the mares to like us, we had to wear clothes to cover them up.
Regardless, we were now racing to school. We'd decided to have a race, because we were late anyway. I was flying as fast as Sam, when I remembered Ariana. If she saw me looking all windblown with my mane messed up, she'd see me as wild and not like me. I slowed down, straightened my mane, and walked to school. I walked into the middle of second period, and had to explain that we'd overslept and whatnot. Being that my last name comes right after Ariana's, I get to sit behind her in every class. Well, that's really all that happened that day. Ariana said hi, but that was all that happened there. So, I suppose that's it for this entry.

Sam's Journal - First Entry
Well if today wasn't interesting enough. Today was our first day of school, Me and Jake my stepbrother ( or Baby Barf as I like to call him because of his green colors). I was so prepared, my clothes folded out in my room, they were my favorite pair too. If only I could find them! Stupid Jake had to throw a party last night, something about leaving his kid-ship behind and becoming a man or something like that. That sounds just like him now, we are fakes. Really Jake is crazy and a real party-pal and pretends to be the goody too shoes of everyone just to impress a girl. I used to be a goody two shoes until I met Sara. Sara is the most beautiful Unicorn I've ever seen. She only digs on the crazy wild stallions. Jake had the same problem too, a mare who is smart and responsible but only crushes on crazy people (weird town right?)
Anyways, today was the first day of school
I really only remember waking up to my brother trying to smother me and shoving his watch in my face indicating that we're late for school -great-. This wouldn't have been a big problem, we're pegasi and extremely fast fliers (Theres a mare named Rainbow Dash who I love to race with, I might get into that later) and could get to school on time but of course, my favorite clothes were missing because of our party. In fact, all of my clothes were missing or drenched in fruit punch. I was about to yell at my brother until he found my clothes but he was already out the window. I quickly put on something and flew out after him.
Being the competitive pony I am, I chase after him. It was all going good and we made it to the school until Jake stopped down to fix his mane...wow.
I end up getting to school first, Jake walked and must've gotten there really late. Anywho, I ended up getting no classes with Jake at all... But all classes with Sara! Score! It turns out Sara and Ariana are really close friends and we sit with them at lunch so Jake and I could still hang out.
That's about all that happened today on my first day in Pony-High.
