The Bermuda
Prolouge - A day on an island
Load Full StoryAs he awoke, Metal felt the hard bark of the branch he called a 'bed'. Sunlight flooded his eyes when he opened them effectively blinding him, but they eventually adjusted, and he could scan the area around him. The branch he was sitting on was part of a large oak tree (about twenty feet high).
Below him was a beachside camp he had made to survive. Directly below Metal was a small log between two piles of sticks, the pile on the left had been made into spears some with sharp rocks on the end, and some that have just been sharpened to a point. The pile on the right was unused sticks that would either be made into spears or used as fire wood. Three feet in front of the log was a fire pit with a makeshift spit above it. About ten feet away from the fire was a hole that he used for trash, and it doesn't hurt that it attracts the occasional raccoon or crow.
Metal went through his normal routine of eating a few fruits from the apple tree nearby, and then siting down to make more spears. He was the lone survivor of flight 109 which had crashed as they went over the Bermuda Triangle. They had flown into an electrical storm, which had disabled their flight controlled when the got struck by lightning. The plane crashed approximately 10 yards out from the island, and before leaving for the island he grabbed anything he could get, which included food, clothes, and a pocket knife some jackass brought on the plane. He was glad he had some military training on how to survive in the wilderness.
Metal had spent some time as a scout sniper in the marines, and then left after the war ended. He was on his way to his vacation when he crashed. He was used to being alone for long periods of when he went to retrieve information from hostile territories, and he was good. He had gained the name of Metal Blade due to his preference to use his combat knife when scouting. The only way he had found to combat his growing insanity was to have conversations with himself. He had made another self in which portrayed his deepest thoughts, just to keep it interesting, but sometimes it was like it had a mind of its own.
You Know, You Could End All The Suffering, Just Slice Open Your Neck, Simple. The voice was a little high pitched and obnoxious but with a tone that suggested it knew more than you do.
"I told you I won't die, for if I die that's defeat, and I hate losing." Metal growled back at the voice, he had never taken a loss lightly he often does anything in his power to win, as long as its not against the rules.
Why Do You Have To Be So Stubborn, You Know You Want To I AM The Reflection Of Your Inner Thoughts.
"They are my inner thoughts because I don't like them." Metal looked up at the sky to see that the sun was starting to set and dark clouds forming over head. "That's it, I'm going hunting for tonight."
Metal always preferred hunting at night so that his game would be asleep when he found them, and when it rains that makes it all the better because the impact of the rain water was enough to make it easier to hide. He decided to only take one spear, because there shouldn't be any danger tonight, and headed into the forest.

Rainbow Dash landed in a tree above the creature she had come to know as a human, it was what looked like a hairless monkey with hair only on the top of his head. It's hair was about shoulder length and pitch black, and he was wearing tiger skin clothing that covered almost his entire body.
Rainbow had been coming to this world because her friend Twilight had been given a new spell to study by the princess. The spell turned out to be a dimensional transport spell to the island. Rainbow couldn't exactly leave the island, because the water around it seemed to be endless, so she could only study the creatures on the island. Lucky for her she found the creature she was sent to observe and report on, the human. Rainbow had to come to the island and observe the humans general life, she had learned that the guy was stranded due to the fact that there was a wreckage a little ways away from his camp, not to mention that the human appeared to be sad.
Rainbow was specifically ordered to not approach the human unless they appeared to be harmless, Rainbow Dash knew this one was not. She guessed that if she would try to talk to him he would think of her as food. So Rainbow only observed as he trailed deeper into the forest.
After what she thought was half an hour she heard a rustling from underneath her, obviously the human heard it to for he whipped around, spear at the ready. Just then two tigers lunged at him as lightening flashed over head. The human thrusted his spear at the first tiger he could, impaling it thorough the neck. Before he could dispose of the corpse, the second tiger was on top of him lash in at his chest.
Rainbow Dash was petrified by the horrific scene in front of her, but she couldn't let the human die. She launched from her hiding place and tackled the tiger off of the human just as it was about to sink its teeth in the humans neck. She then gave the tiger a quick buck to the face, and grabbed the human in her foreleg, and carried him away. She flew them away from the forest, and island, and into the sky where here portal back was waiting.
