A storm is brewing in archaic Equestria in midst of a long winter, webs of lies and spies net between two spanning and powerful kingdoms, both on the tenuous edge of a firestorm through a horrifying unearthing told by a party of explorers gone insane, having found something lying in the Frozen Wasteland possessing knowledge and power eons beyond even the most powerful mages in the world that had maddened them. One wants this power extinguished for their reign of peace that may have darker implications, the other wants it for their own plans to restore their collapsing society in their own image.
When the tides begin to shift and hostilities increase, the disclosure of two mysterious 'soldiers', that seemed to have come to aid the utopian side, starts the bloodiest war that olden Equestria's ever housed.
