All Things Change

"Quickly, now, quickly! We have a ponies' life on the line here! Healheart, move over! I swear, you're still a novice nurse pony sometimes! Now move!"

It was a crazy day at the Ponyville hospital. Everypony seemed to have some kind of injury. Rainbow Dash had broken her wing again, Pinkie Pie was in a sugar coma, and on top of it all, Fluttershy was pregnant and her condition was critical. She was losing too much blood. Nurse Redheart ordered a unicorn to send a telegram to Princess Twilight. She would warn the others.

In the meantime, Redheart was running around, collecting doctors that would help Fluttershy. Eventually all the ponies that Shy needed were there, along with her friends. Redheart had a feeling that these might be her last hours.

"W-who's t-there? I feel so weak... Where's the baby? I...I need to see it before I d- before I leave."

Fluttershy gave a cry of pain as a head forced its way out of the birth chamber. One nurse comforted Fluttershy while others attended the baby.

After hours, the baby made its first breath and Fluttershy took her last. Her friends all cried, some not very quiet. Redheart sat on her rump, hard. Shy was always weak, but this was a shock. She knew more ponies than Pinkie Pie, and that's saying something.

Eventually the baby came to light and the discussion of who should care for her began. The little filly was a mare. She had a black coat, contrasted with a neon green mane. She holes...all over her body. The room went silent. Then Rarity stood up, wiped her eyes, and took the baby. She announced that she would care for the child, then left.

After awhile, everypony took care of Fluttershy and told Rainbow Dash the sad news.
