1. PinkieView OnlinePonyville Days1. PinkieDisclaimer: Hasbro owns MLP:FIM. As does The Faust. 7:00 am: Pinkie Pie hears party-themed alarm clock. Lets clock use up about two party poppers worth of confetti before shutting it off and waking up. 7:15 am: Shower. Hums self-composed song “Smile Smile Smile” while washing. 7:30 am: Irons out loose hairs in bed-mane with cotton candy spinner in wardrobe (obtained from Rainbow Dash as a birthday present). Satisfied that mane is at acceptable level of poofiness, she comes downstairs. 7:35 am: Breakfast with Mrs Cake and the twins, Pound and Pumpkin (Mr Cake has finished his and is cleaning the Sugarcube Corner bakery). Pinkie encourages Pound being spoon-fed, with: “Here comes the airplane! Neeeeeeoooow!” Mrs Cake silently wonders what an airplane actually is as she feeds Pumpkin. 7:50 am: Feeds Gummy, her pet alligator with usual diet of sugar rich porridge, as he lacks teeth to chew anything. 8:00 am: Pinkie helps Mr Cake with getting last of the freshly baked goods out of the oven and preparing dough for new baked goods. Half an hour before Sugarcube Corner opens for the day. Pinkie told to make new dough to kill time. Pinkie reserves large bowl of chocolate icing for ‘motivational reasons’. 8:30 am: Sugarcube Corner is open! Mr Cake soon gets first customer in form of green unicorn with a lyre for a cutie mark. Asks for a dozen “Finger and Fumb” cookies (cookies in the shape of ‘hands’, whatever those are). Mr Cake silently pleased that unusually specific treat has niche somewhere. 8:40 am: Pinkie takes to stall as Mrs Cake takes over baking duty. Serves regular muffin 12 pack to blonde maned grey Pegasus. 9:00 am: Good friend Rainbow Dash drops by for a Cloud Toasty; the standard working breakfast. Pinkie spends next 2 minutes asking about if anything interesting will happen at Rainbow’s workplace, before Mr Cake quickly reminds her that she’s holding up the line. 10:00 am: Pinkie quickly nips back to kitchen for motivational chocolate icing. Exercising good hygiene in the workplace, she pours it into milkshake glass complete with favourite pink crazy straw, so as not to get hooves dirty. Spends time taking ‘occasional’ sips as she serves the customers. 11:30 am: Mr Cake receives odd request from pink earth pony with wild eyes and a screw with baseball for a cutie mark for a “purple themed cake that looks, sounds, and tastes exactly like purple, and it should be delivered on purple o’clock by the purpleth”. Request immediately redirected to Pinkie, who cheerfully tells her to leave an address and she’ll get started on it soon. Deciding that it probably wouldn’t make sense in context, Mr Cake gets back to work. 11:35 am: Pinkie gets started on purple-themed cake. Makes finished product the size of the Equestrian Royal Wedding Cake, but uses up a lot of the flour trying to get “the perfect level of purple taste”. 12:00 pm: Since Pinkie only works a half day on Thursdays, she is given rest of day off. Heads to ‘Screwball’s’ address with Purple Cake, which is towed by Gummy’s exercise trolley. 12:30 pm: Arrives at small house in back alley of Ponyville. Delivers cake, fretting about acceptable levels of purple look, sound and taste for next 5 minutes before ‘Screwball’ hands her some bits, quickly prompting Pinkie to remember to get back. 1:00 pm: Pinkie walks through town and encounters another close friend; Rarity, who has just come back from gem hunt with Spike. Spike is clearly struggling under weight of emeralds being carried. Amazed at Rarity’s haul, Pinkie makes several guesses as to what Rarity plans to do with them, including “Build an entire palace to house a small pony pretending to be a great and powerful wizard”. 1:05 pm: Spike groans out reminder that his arms are “killing him”. Loans out Gummy’s exercise trolley, much to Spike’s relief. 1:45 pm: Drops by Sweet Apple Acres farm to visit Applejack. Finds Applejack’s younger sister Applebloom trying to earn cutie mark in dogfighting by throwing apple cores at friends Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle on makeshift hang-gliders made from wood. Causes Pinkie to think out loud as to why it’s called dogfighting when there are no dogs involved, before remembering the Apple family have a dog and… 1:47 pm: Applejack arrives, muttering about an overturned cart. Spots Pinkie, exchanges polite pleasantries. Explains that cart got stuck in a ditch and can’t be removed. Without it, there’s nothing to carry the apples on the farm. Pinkie suggests Gummy’s exercise trolley… 1:48 pm: Pinkie remembers that the trolley is being borrowed by Rarity. Telling Applejack to wait, Pinkie heads to Rarity’s workplace, the Carousel Boutique. Decides to use quick shortcut using what Pinkie calls a ‘jump cut’. 1:49 pm: Arrives at Boutique. Rarity greets Pinkie, and tells her that the trolley was left at Sugarcube Corner. 1:50 pm: Arrives back in own bedroom and collects exercise trolley. 1:51 pm: Arrives back at Sweet Apple Acres with trolley. Asks why Applejack looks so astonished at prompt arrival back before handing the trolley over. 2:30 pm: Pinkie remains at farm, killing time watching the Cutie Mark Crusaders. They walk home covered in tree sap (again), with no cutie mark to show for it. Applejack returns with trolley, thanking Pinkie. 2:31 pm: Pinkie checks watch and remembers that she needs to get back and help out with the Sugarcube Corner outdoor café. (Pinkie works extra hours even when she’s given time off). Scoots off, leaving Applejack to wonder about these ‘watches’ that Pinkie seems to be looking at. Especially since she wasn’t wearing one when she arrived. 3:00 pm: Pinkie arrives back in Ponyville. 3:01 pm: Hears stomach growling, and remembers that she did not have lunch (again). Finds nearby tree and retrieves fried hay sandwich from tree, stored in case of ‘emergencies’. After finding baseball and saxophone in tree, she wonders if she should start storing things for more conventional emergencies. 3:20 pm: Trots to Sugarcube Corner, sees Mrs Cake with Pound and Pumpkin in prams outside, serving customers in the outdoors café. Spotting Pinkie, she requests help in waitressing. 3:30-6:59 pm: Spends rest of afternoon moving between kitchen and café, serving customers, and nicking some of baked goods from kitchen. Trolley is used to tow food. 7:00 pm: Closing time. Pinkie gives Gummy supper (spicy porridge). Given reasonable wage from Mrs Cake for the half day, as well as extra hours, which she pockets in satchel. Worried, Mrs Cake wonders where Pinkie was storing the satchel the whole time. 7:15 pm: Helps the Cakes in giving twins their bath. Somehow ends in her swallowing soap, despite only using only bubble foam throughout the whole thing. 8:30 pm: Pinkie moves trolley back to bedroom. Decides that she should store trolleys all over Ponyville for trolley emergencies from now on. 9:00 pm: Goes back to bedroom and brings out several sheets of music, working on secret night-time career as song composer. 9:05 pm: Continues to stare at blank page. 9:15 pm: Suddenly comes up with a word that rhymes with ‘fifth’. She then wonders how she can fit the two words together in a song about parties. 9:20 pm: Declaring tonight to have been ‘productive’, Pinkie makes mental note to visit ‘Chopping Block’s World of Handy Tools’ for mass purchase of trolleys. Falls asleep, ready for tomorrow. Author's Note So, what do you think for the first chapter? I'm not really sure whether it's a good first try, but any feedback you could provide will be appreciated... Oh, by the way: I'm intending to have this canon prior to Season 3, so no Princess Twilight just yet (although that may be possible in the future). So fire away. 2. ApplejackView OnlinePonyville Days2. ApplejackDisclaimer: Hasbro owns MLP:FIM. As does The Faust. 5:00 am: Cockerel crowing wakes Applejack, dead on time as usual. Folds up blanket, ready for today. 5:10 am: Applejack brushes and ties up hair. Goes to fetch trademark Stetson hat. 5:11 am: Discovers that hat is not on perch where it is usually kept. Undergoes contained panic attack for good minute or so. 5:15 am: Older brother Big Macintosh comes upstairs to ask why Applejack hasn’t come downstairs to walk Winona, the Apple family dog. Explains great hat crisis. Is then reminded that daily chores will not finish themselves by small, yet extremely expressive silence. 5:20 am: Feeling naked (er) without hat, Applejack takes Winona on walk. Makes sure to check on cows on usual rounds around farm. 5:40-7:30 am: Spends next few hours milking cows. Notices chill in barn that Applejack didn’t notice before. Becomes unusually melancholy regarding lost headwear. 8:00 am: Back to house with Winona. Breakfast time of fibre hay cereal and fresh milk with Granny Smith, Bic Macintosh and lil’ sis. First pleasant mood of the day interrupted by younger sister Applebloom contemplating earning a cutie mark in parkour today. 8:05 am: Firmly against the idea, Applejack slams hoof on table, causing butter knife (with butter still on it) to fly towards forehead, leaving decidedly greasy stain on scalp. 8:06 am: Heads upstairs to wash hair, leaving a giggling Applebloom to receive stern looks from family. 8:30 am: Heads to bathroom sink. Makes to take off hat, only to remember she isn’t wearing it. Washes out butter from forehead distractedly. Looks up in mirror, only to find that she has now left a rather conspicuous rainbow coloured streak in her otherwise blonde mane. 8:35 am: Applejack realises that she accidently grabbed “Prism-Blaster Shampoo for Young Fillies” instead of usual shampoo. Remembers that Rainbow Dash gave it to her as a joke birthday present (“You can’t copy The Dash’s awesomeness, but you can come pretty darn close with this!”). Makes mental note to inflict some form of torture to Rainbow in midst of panic attack. 8:36 am: Races back to bedroom to try and find hat to cover up the botched hair job. Isn’t anywhere where she would leave it lying around, but Applejack does remember leaving it in her room… 8:40 am: No more time, as Applebloom should be dropped off at school by now. Grabbing nearby white napkin and fashioning it into rudimentary bandanna, she leaves the house with Applebloom. 9:00 am: Arrives at school, choosing to ignore odd looks from parents and students. Races back to house, rueing the existence of shampoo for one customer base. 10:00 am: Gets started on apple bucking to clear head. Suddenly spots Rainbow Dash, who bursts into laughter on sight. 10:05 am: Applejack is then told that some of the colour soaked through the napkin and now everypony can see it. Is then advised to ‘go for it’ and wear the rainbow streak like a badge of honour. Applejack mentally questions how well-earned the whole thing actually was. 10:10 am: Decides to just get on with work. An annoyed Applejack tells Rainbow that she should probably get on with work as well, as she is still giggling about her mane. 11:30 am: Finishes up with last apple tree for the one orchard. Finds Pinkie Pie waiting at the gate. Mentally curses fate for being as much of a jokester as Rainbow Dash. 11:31 am: Noticing the distinct lack of her hat, Pinkie theorises that her hat has been fillynapped and is being held ransom. Applejack is visibly disturbed when Pinkie notes that attempts on her hat’s life have happened before. Pinkie laments that she should have explained to the mysterious fillynapper that Applejack should have explained that the hat was important to her, but she would never cheat on anyone with the hat, and that the hat and Applejack were just good friends… 11:40 am: Escapes Pinkie while distracted by tangent. Still in shock after hearing about hat assassinations, Applejack decides to just grab some lunch and see to the rest of her chores. 12:00 pm: Makes herself some Apple fritters for lunch in attempt to cheer herself up. 12:50 pm: Gets started on looking after pigs. Fills up trough as well as collecting manure for apple trees. Feels unusually antsy, owing to lack of sense of comfort. 1:15 pm: Applejack decides that the sheer discomfort as well as loathing of mane-care disasters of today outweigh the desire to work. Decides to visit Rarity. Realises that it may be the first time she would actually willingly want any job done on her mane in the history of ever. 1:30 pm: Arrives at the Carousel Boutique. Is greeted by Rarity, which is then followed by an extremely uncomfortable look of sheer shock, which continues for about 30 seconds. Applejack makes attempts to muster up suitable ‘yeah, I know’ face. 1:31 pm: Applejack is asked why she would wear ‘such a ghastly-coloured piece of cloth over her rustic mane’. Applejack then explains that it’s to cover up her rainbow streak, removing the napkin. Another 30 seconds of shock ensues. 1:40 pm: Having composed herself, Rarity quickly closes up shop using her all-purpose closing signs for all occasions, and drags Applejack to the spa. 3:20 pm: Leaves spa session with mane in original colour. Applejack is not sure, but she thinks that Rarity’s eye was twitching while watching her mane. 3:30 pm: Arrives back at Sweet Apple Acres. Big Macintosh is waiting at gate, not happy about having extra chores again while Applejack was away. She then promises to finish up the rest of his chores right after she picks up Applebloom from school. 4:00 pm: Arrives at school and picks up Applebloom. Receives various compliments on her mane, including several awkward questions about whether if the napkin was ‘to set the dye in’. Applejack grumbles about how she’s glad Gabby Gums isn’t around or she’d have a field day in the local news. 5:00 – 6:40 pm: Applejack does Big Macintosh’s chores, including bucking the rest of the orchards for today before sundown, checking on the chickens, and examining the steel traps planted around their best orchard. Applejack notes that pitfalls need visibility to be worked on. 7:00 pm: Supper time. Applebloom grumbles about how the buildings in Ponyville don’t have ‘nice n’ durable metal roofs’. Applejack deduces: 1. Her attempt at a cutie mark failed again. 2. There will be a lot of bills for angry citizens to pay tomorrow. 8:00 pm: Goes back to check on cows again, as it’s almost calving season. Remembers that she probably should ask about whether they’ve seen her hat anywhere. Answer is negative. 9:00 pm: Goes back to bathroom and throws bottle of rainbow shampoo in bin. Decides that from now on she should never store unused items in the same place as everyday things. 9:05 pm: Makes her way back to bedroom, dejected about how things went rather badly today. Takes time to reflect on lessons learnt today (including a mental note to ask Pinkie to elaborate on suspected hat-hating hombres), before turning in for the night. 9:10 pm: As Applejack brings blanket forward, she finds her hat underneath! Applejack then remembers that she left the hat on the end of her bed yesterday after being too tired from work to put it back on the perch. 9:15 pm: Placing hat back in its proper place, Applejack adds “don’t leave your things lying around” on the lessons learnt from today. Applejack then falls asleep, so as to get up early the next morning. Author's Note Based on a true story. I lost my keys that way once. Okay, so I think I have Rainbow Dash's day down (mostly) as well as Rarity. Right now, I'm thinking of what sort of premise I can work with to make each of their days filled with interesting things. Fluttershy is especially bad due to general lack of being outgoing. So I need your help. Feel free to throw anything you think would make a good story at me and I'll see whether I can use any of it. If they are Hasbro, I’m Hasn’tbro. 10:00 am: Rainbow Dash wakes up at crack of midday to sound of promotional Wonderbolt Spitfire alarm clock shouting “Get those wings moving, ya slacker!” over and over. Wonders for umpteenth time whether if waking up to something calling her a slacker every morning is healthy. 10:10 am: Fashions up cloud and kicks it in lieu of shower. 10:15 am: Breakfast of Spitfire Skyring Cereal (“now with more carbs!”). Deliberately chosen for Monday ‘back to work with healthy attitude’ mood. 10:30 am: Feeling in good mood, Rainbow Dash flies to Weather Factory to get started on summer breeze creation. Performs a few corkscrew moves along the way. 10:31 am: Rainbow crashes face-first into storm cloud, receiving several painful shocks to the face. Escapes with severely blackened head. Distinctly hears muffled apology from what looks like a yellow and grey blob before passing out. 10:45 am: Wakes up in hospital bed with bandage over her head. Pony with white coat and nurse hat writes her condition off as blunt shock to the head. Rainbow severely unimpressed with joke, but isn’t quite sure if it was intentional or not. 11:45 am: Finally allowed to leave after some checks from hospital staff. Exits hospital with conspicuous white bandage still in place. 12:00 pm: Makes to head back to work, only to have The Cutie Mark Crusaders appear in front of her. They each have pink cotton candy on a stick. 12:05 pm: Tempted, Rainbow heads to stall where the CMC were and gets a stick herself. Wolfs it down in one sitting rather messily. 12:06 pm: Swarm of honeybees, attracted by sugar all over bandages, chase Rainbow Dash down several streets before she finally takes off the bandages and throws them towards a white unicorn wearing purple shades. 12:08 pm: Distracted by need to escape, Rainbow fails to notice the lamppost in front of her. Crashes head first straight into it. 12:30 pm: Wakes up in hospital bed again. Staff happily welcome her back, and stop to take several photographs of her head for their album. 1:30 pm: Escapes from hospital via elaborate plan involving several metres of string and a stapler, Rainbow Dash decides to make it to work before anything else happens. She now has an entirely new bandage. 1:45 pm: Arriving at work for the first time today, Rainbow is greeted by fellow co-worker Cloud Kicker, who asks about what happened to her head. Rainbow rattles off story of how she saved a group of orphans from pack of timberwolves – in graphic detail. Grabs lunch of daisy sandwich from canteen before going to office. 2:15 pm: Goes through messages from boss. Was apparently meant to start on breezes 2 hours ago, then 3 hours ago, then Down Pour took over that duty, then that she was meant to get started on rain over Ponyville 30 minutes ago. 2:25 pm: Pushes several spare clouds over Ponyville back to the factory, charges them with lightning, then directs underlings to push them over designated spots. 2:45 pm: With spare time on her hooves, Rainbow goes to favourite nap cloud for well-earned rest. 2:46 pm: Rainbow Dash falls straight through cloud owing to being unable to hold up weight after most of the inside went into fashioning snow for export. Falls face first into storm cloud underneath. Reflects on how hospitals are starting to get boring before getting fried into unconsciousness. 3:10 pm: Wakes up in hospital bed. First notices how wallpaper is slightly different. Deduces that she is in different room of local hospital. An exasperated Nurse Redheart decides that there should be some sort of organisation for work related accidents. Decides on snappy name ‘Health and Safety’. 4:30 pm: Checks finished, Rainbow Dash contemplates staying in safety of hospital where nothing is out to get her. Decides to lie prone in bed until next day. 4:31 pm: Dash gets bored of lying prone and trots out of hospital, fervently looking out for any harmful obstacles. 5:00 pm: Remembering that the Weather Factory knocks off during this time for day workers, Rainbow Dash decides to visit Twilight Sparkle for latest “Daring Do” book: “The Pyramid of Quartz”. Decides that she will walk to Golden Oaks library, out of paranoia of flying. 5:30 pm: Rainbow Dash discovers that she actually walks incredibly slowly, for a speed-obsessed pony. 5:31 pm: Borrows book from Twilight Sparkle, who quickly asks about her head. She decides to not press the issue any further after noticing wild expression on Rainbow Dash’s face. 6:00 pm: Heads back home with book in tow. Sits in bead going over first 3 chapters. 7:00 pm: Goes out night-time pranking with Pinkie Pie. Tonight they go out and capture several moths and keep them in a box. 7:30 pm: Goes straight to local cinema with captured moths, requesting 2 tickets each to see ‘Citizen Sugar’. Gets discount on tickets of 75% off. Pinkie explains how she once saved the ticket seller from “some non-toxic edible green slime” and that she is owed a favour. 8:30 pm: Movie starts, theatre goes dark. Rainbow and Pinkie release captured moths. Influenced by light from screen, they flutter in unusual patterns. Suddenness of moth invasion sends several ponies screaming out of the theatre. Pinkie and Rainbow quickly make themselves scarce. 8:35 pm: In hysterics over success, Pinkie remembers that she needs to get back for late night birthday bash for one of the other ponies in town. After mentioning that Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Applejack and Fluttershy will also be there, Rainbow agrees to go. 9:00 pm: Arrives with Pinkie at party, with atmosphere electric. Spots pony with purple shades at music machine changing the disk. Notices that she has several visible bee stings on her front legs. Rainbow thankful that pony apparently does not remember her. 9:05 pm: Applejack, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity and Fluttershy find and greet Rainbow. Each one struggles to find something to say that isn’t about her head, but eventually manage to get conversation going about how Pinkie is thinking of hot-sauce cupcakes as an actual product to sell at Sugarcube Corner. 10:30 pm: Feeling all partied out, Rainbow excuses herself and decides to head straight back home. 10:31 pm: Walks outside, noticing two ponies watching a movie on a projector through their window. 10:32 pm: Deciding to make one last prank for the day, Rainbow gathers up some more moths, and releases them down the chimney, into the room where the couple are watching the movie. 10:33 pm: Rainbow Dash quickly flies away after hearing panicked screams from the pair. In trying to escape, she is promptly smacked in the head by pony-driven taxi carriage. 11:00 pm: Wakes up in hospital bed with bandages over head. Quickly notices that staff are gleefully sending letters to their relatives over incredible medical record. 11:05 pm: Not wanting to stick around, Rainbow flies quickly (but EXTREMELY carefully) back home, wanting to do nothing more than sleep. 11:15 pm: Back home, feeling exhausted. Promptly jumps into bed, and lies down, hoping the next day will be more fortunate. 11:16 pm: One of Rainbow’s bandages gets snagged on the bed railing. 4. RarityView OnlinePonyville Days4. RarityDisclaimer: Hasbro owns MLP:FIM. If they are Hasbro, I’m Hasn’tbro. 7:00 am: Rarity wakes up to alarm clock by bedside incessantly ringing. Blasts clock off the table with magic. 7:10 am: Shower with high quality shampoo and lathering gel. Not fond of soap as it is apparently “murder to a good pony’s skin”. 7:45 am: Breakfast of carrot and daisy pastries. 8:00 am: Goes back to bedroom to freshen up and put on false eyelashes. Silently wonders if friends still judge her for it after they once discovered her secret while being interrogated over a cake related incident. 9:30 am: After spending what an ordinary pony would describe as ‘too long’ in the mirror, Rarity goes downstairs to open up her shop, the Carousel Boutique. Remembers that she needs to finish up on a glittered suit for a client. 10:00 am: While working on suit, first customer of the day walks in. Rarity shocked to discover that pony looks almost exactly like her, down to mane style, colour and even cutie mark, except the customer is a Pegasus instead of a unicorn. 10:01 am: Shocked, Rarity asks about how pony looks so similar. Pony then explains that look is apparently latest in fashion style. She then requests some suitable outdoor socks for agricultural work. 10:03 am: Finally getting over shock, Rarity uses sewing machine to fashion handsome looking red front socks for client. After receiving payment, customer is picked up by another Rarity doppelganger, a male unicorn. 10:04 am: Visibly freaked out, Rarity dashes outside of store, to discover that every single pony out and about all have white coats and purple manes. Some of them are other regular ponies Rarity recognises from frequent visits regarding patching up clothes. 10:10 am: Rarity stands on top of box (which she summons with magic), before standing on top, demanding what is wrong with everypony, and to look and dress differently. Is then told by passing unicorn that she isn’t, so why should they? 10:15 pm: Rarity rushes back inside of Boutique, on the verge of hyperventilation. Deduces that everypony is going through extremely unusual (and very specific) phase (that or everypony has gone completely mad). She then decides to set an example and act unique. 10:16-11:30 am: Spends next few moments cutting mane and tail short, as well as applying dye for unicorns onto tale, making them light blue. Rarity isn’t sure, but she thinks she saw something fly past window very briefly, but decides to ignore it. Satisfied with job, Rarity decides to try and carry on as normal. 11:40 am: Coming downstairs, Rarity comes down to find Rainbow Dash – who is sporting the exact same mane and tale style and colour as Rarity’s new look, and is resolutely white like her. Is cheerfully greeted by the Pegasus, who then proceeds to try and make her greeting heard over high pitched scream over next 30 seconds. 11:42 am: Feeling air in lungs rapidly leave her, Rarity decides that now would be an appropriate time to cease screaming. She demands to know why everypony, including Rainbow, looks exactly like her. Rainbow appears confused, stating that she has always looked this way. Rarity then spends next few minutes raving how that cannot possibly be true, while Rainbow Dash nods and insists that it’s true. 12:15 pm: Deciding that today may not be a good day to get work done, Rarity decides to use rest of day to try and find out the reason behind “copycats” and to try and make herself seem unique again. Nervously telling Rainbow Dash that she’s “awfully busy”, she makes panicked dash back upstairs. 12:25 pm: Going back to mirror, Rarity wonders if going natural would yield any results. She restores her eyelashes to their original state and puts on standardized plain mane wig (black). 12:35 pm: Trotting downstairs, Rarity takes walk outside – and finds that absolutely everypony is sporting a similar look. Walks extremely rigidly and rapidly back to bedroom. 12:40 pm: To experiment and see whether if ponies are in fact just blindly following latest trend or are in fact doing it for completely strange reasons, Rarity decides to sport deliberately “unfabulous look”, sporting an eye patch, leather boots with spikes and strange dark eye shadow and makeup, giving impression of rock star who is clearly trying too hard. 1:10 pm: Discovers by looking outside of window that all the ponies outside are now nowhere to be seen. Nervously making her way downstairs, she quickly and fervently hopes that somepony has the common sense to not go out of their way to deliberately look awful. 1:15 pm: Any hope of a sensible pony is quickly dashed as she spots everypony walking outside again, looking like wannabe rock stars. Loudly despairing about how everypony is willing to look like “an extremely seedy musical washout”, somepony in the distance shouts about their offense at “looking like one”. Spots pony with assorted electric guitars and touring wagon. She quickly apologises for any offense caused. 1:20 pm: Goes back into bedroom, resolutely deciding that she should probably not come outside until she can think of a suitable look repulsive enough to not be copied. 1: 21-5:00 pm: Spends next few hours in darkened room thinking/moping, until she suddenly has the most brilliant “i-DEE-YA!” she has ever had. 5:30 pm: Rarity now is wearing a purple mane wig and false tail, and has removed black makeup, looking for all intents and purposes exactly how she looked at the start. She wonders if anypony would “dare to be seen with last season’s fashion”. 5:31 pm: Comes downstairs, trembling. 5:32 pm: Everypony outside is now looking completely different from each other, and to Rarity. Everypony is now sporting their original colour, including, Rarity notices, some regular customers. Joyously exclaims that she is “freakishly unique” again, before blushing with embarrassment, realising what she just said. 5:40 pm: Goes out exploring town just to make sure. Suddenly remembers that Rainbow Dash apparently had no memory of being a different colour or sporting a different look. Decides to go find her. She then remembers that Twilight got a collector’s omnibus edition of Daring Do, and deduces Rainbow must be at Golden Oaks library. 6:00 pm: Goes straight to library, and spots Rainbow Dash going inside. Rarity follows. Twilight greets the two, and voices how she didn’t expect Rarity to swing by. Rarity then wonders if Twilight would know of any explanation behind strange and spontaneous fashion spree. 6:01 pm: Explaining about how everypony was acting and looking really weirdly and how Rarity had to go through several traumatising fashion statements before ridding herself of the menace, Twilight goes through several books with dragon assistant Spike before finding an explanation. Rainbow leaves with Daring Do omnibus in hooves, saying goodbye to Twilight, and muttering about how being white and blue would be “totally gross”. 6:15 pm: In book “Freaky Weeky: What Could Be Causing Your Day to Go to Tartarus?” by Unlucky Number, Twilight says that Rarity may have brain-hermits in her house, which apparently research the owner of the house they inhabit by manipulating a pony’s senses to see how they would react to different situations, in the name of research. 6:30 pm: Assured by Twilight that brain hermits can be driven out of a house by being discovered, and will never return to that household again, Rarity storms back to house to confront pests. 7:05 pm: Discovers strange pink creature in Sweetie Belle’s bedroom underneath bed. Deduces that it is the brain hermit. Glares at hermit with venomous look. Hermit lets out frightened hiss before grabbing large emerald by bedside, breaking window with it, and escaping outside. 7:10 pm: Comes downstairs, extremely satisfied with conclusion of incident. Sees Twilight at door, who says she saw the hermit flee out of town. Deduces that hermit was probably researching if Rarity could be made to do stupid things when under duress. 7:15 pm: Reflecting on fact that she cut tail and mane short (“oh what was I thinking!? It won’t grow back for WEEKS!”) as well as dressed like a desperate musical sell-out, Rarity considers experiment to have been a success. Decides to call it a day early to recuperate. Thanking Twilight for her help, she staggers to bedroom in relief. 7:30 pm: Dives into bed, grateful that awful day is finally at end. Suddenly realises that everypony’s perspective was totally different to hers, and wonders if anypony would be completely stupefied by the fact she appeared in public wearing black makeup and leather boots. Panic attack ensues. 7:40 pm: Awful daydream of being arrested by Canterlot Royal Guard for “crime against fabulousness” is interrupted by knock on door. 7:41 pm: Rarity answers door. It is a regular customer (Bon Bon) who comments that Rarity looked “absolutely awesome” in black, and whether she could do the same with her and her friends. Rarity faints. Author's Note I originally wrote this as being some sort of extremely elaborate prank, but decided against it because it seemed a wee bit cruel (as in controversial Mare-Do-Well level mean). I'm still stuck as to what to do with Fluttershy, so any help that you could provide, such as idea premises would be way cool. Thanks!
