The next day, all of Equestria came together in a day of mourning. The Princess Twilight was dead...committed suicide in her own room. Found by her brother, Prince Shining Armor, only a few moments later. He refuses to leave the castle...let alone his room. The parents of the two are found crying next to Twilight's open casket. Luna and Celestia are found at the front of the enormous crowd of gatherers.
Luna: My fellow ponies...It pains me to say that our precious Twilight Sparkle has moved on. But do not just dwell on her death...remember her past...the friends she made. The adventures she had...*tears up* the one she loved...
Luna buried her face into her older sister's shoulder and weeped. Celestia nuzzled her dear sister and stood tall.
Celestia: My sister is right. Respect her by keeping the good memories in your hearts.
A few hours later, everypony went home...leaving the two princesses alone. Celestia was wandering around the castle looking for her younger sister. As she rounded the corner from the garden, she found Luna sitting alone.
Celestia: Sister?
Luna: ....
Celestia: Luna...are you alright?
Luna: No sister...I am not...She was so young...and she helped me return to you...and she was my special somepony Celestia. I loved her more than the kingdom itself. I would give up my royalty to be with her again...
Celestia: I did not know...
Luna: We had made arrangements to tell you. But then...*body shakes* Then she left us...
Luna sobbed heavily and placed her face in her hooves. Celestia sat next to her sister and wrapped a hoof around her and began to cry with her....
Shadow Blitz , captain of Luna's royal guard, looked down upon them and a tear rolled down his expressionless face. When he looked up at the sky he could have sworn he saw Twilight's face in the clouds.
Shadow: T-Twilight?...no...I'm seeing things...
Shadow Blitz returned to his post and left the two alicorns alone.
There was a loud *CRASH* and Shadow immediately turned to the source. Laying there on the ground in a bloody pool...was Shining Armor...Shadow watched as the life left his eyes.
Shadow: Prince Armor!
The guard called for help but there was no helping this...Another had died...and he witnessed it...he began to hyperventilate, not knowing what to do. A group of doctors ran up and carried the lifeless body of the once proud Prince Shining Armor to the medical ward. He turned and saw Luna in his face.
Luna: Why did you not help!?
Shadow: P-Princess...what was I to do?
Luna: You are relieved of duty!
Shadow: Princess please don't fire me! I-
Luna: LEAVE. NOW!
Spike: I don't think you realize exactly how much she meant to me
Twilight! I loved her!
Twilight: Spike please don't yell...Rarity's death was tough on us all...
Spike: But you just sat there on your stupid throne and did nothing! NOTHING!! *Tears begin to fall*
Twilight: Spike that's not true! We all did our best to try and stop the Changelings! We just couldn't...we couldn't reach her in time...*Starts to sob*
Spike: *walks to the young princess and holds her in his arms* Twilight....I-I'm sorry...
The memory fades as Twilight stands before her friend's grave. It read: "Here lies Spike Dragon- Loyal to the end." She couldn't hold the tears back any longer. Twilight Sparkle fell to the ground and cried loudly. Her crown fell to the ground as her body shook uncontrollably. All her friends...gone...Killed by the masses of Changeling hoardes...She remembered Spike...her last friend standing in the end...fighting so she could escape...He died to protect her.
Twilight: Spike...I'm s-sorry...I loved you....You were the best friend a pony could ask for...
A few weeks later, Twilight was alone in the castle. Luna and Celestia went to sign a peace treaty with the Changelings. After she lost her friends, Twilight couldn't stand not having somepony with her.
Then...A thought popped into her head. She knew a way to see her friends again! Twilight remover her dress and neatly folded it. As she entered her room, she set the dress and her crown on the bed. She found some rope and used her magic to tie a noose to the ceiling.
Twilight: Don't worry my friends....I will join you again shortly...
Tears began to run down her face as she climbed onto the bed. Twilight fit the loop around her head and tightened it around her neck. She leaped off the bed and dangled for in the air. When the rope tensed up, her neck snapped and she went limp.
There was a bright light at first but when it faded a sunny field came into view. Standing there were all her friends. They were calling her name and running towards her. Twilight galloped towards them and embraced them all.
Shining Armor: T-Twili...Please...please wake up...*tears flow down his face*
Prince Shining Armor. Captain of the Royal Guard held his dead sister in his hooves. He put his head on her chest and sobbed heavily. This was not liquid pride...this was defeat,sorrow....failure...
