Doctor Whooves and the Unexpected Visitorby StationmasterChaptersChapter 1Chapter 2Chapter 3Chapter 4Chapter 5Chapter 6Chapter 1The wind blew through the tops of the trees, shaking droplets of water left behind by the large thunderstorm that passed only hours before. The moon shone high in the sky, illuminating the ground in its blue glow. It was a relatively clear night, except for a few small clouds that still lingered from the storm. The forest floor seemed to be completely barren of life, while in the tree owls sat, staring at the ground, waiting for some kind of movement that would signal a chance at dinner. The silence was broken by a slow, but growing 'Vworrrp Vworrrp' noise. Most of the birds that had been nesting in the nearby trees took flight, echoing their cries throughout the quiet forest. A small light illuminated the ground, as a blue box slowly began to materialized beneath it. The light turned off, only to be replaced by the glow from the box's windows; it bathed the surrounding area in a yellow glow. The box’s doors suddenly flew open, and a Chestnut Stallion ran outside. "That's not right; this isn't Thala," he said, turning back around and running into the box. He reappeared seconds later holding a device in his left hoof, pointing it at the ground; the device produced a high pitched ‘hum’ and illuminated the nearby ground in a green glow. "Doctor? Where are we now?" yelled a female voice from inside the blue box. "Well I have good news and bad news Ditzy," said the doctor, looking back thru the doors. A grey pegasus walked out of the box and looked around; she had a bright yellow mane and eyes that looked to be rimmed by gold. "Well?" she said impatiently. The Doctor couldn't help but smile at her wall eyed stare. "Well, the bad news is that I can't show you the crystal ocean that covers half of Thala, but the good news is that the TARDIS has decided to bring us back to Equestria. Hmm, not bad timing either; seems we are back about 2 hours after we left," he announced, smelling the air. "I guess the TARIDS is letting us know she needs a break?" Ditzy said as she looked at the box. "Yep I guess you can head home tonight and sleep in your bed for once, while I do some last minute checks on the TARDIS before I go to sleep myself." He said, turning around and walking into the TARDIS, past Ditzy. Ditzy looked out into the forest before turning and walking into the TARDIS herself; she was happy to be home but was afraid to walk home alone at this time of night, especially if it meant walking through the Everfree Forest. "Um...Doctor? Could you walk with me back to town?" she said, looking at him forcing both her eyes to stay locked on him. "I guess I could spare a few minutes before I start work. Sure lets go, I need to stop by the Library and let Twilight know we’re back anyway," he said running out of the TARDIS doors, followed closely by Ditzy. She couldn't help but smile as she thought about how much the Doctor acted like Pinkie Pie sometimes, always running off and getting into trouble, and never staying in one place for too long. She followed the Doctor as he ran down the path through the forest. "Come on Ditzy, try and keep up," the Doctor said, smiling over his shoulder. He stopped suddenly, causing Ditzy to slam into him, which sent them both flying through the air and into a nearby bush. "Ow... Doctor what happened? Why did you stop?" Ditzy said before she climbed out of the bush. Her eyes had inverted again, but she was too busy checking her wings to fix them at that moment. "Yeah... Sorry I got distracted," he murmured while looking up into the sky in the direction of Ponyville. He climbed out of the bush and walked over to Ditzy, still looking at the sky. "This isn't good," He said under his breath before he started walking again. "What isn't good?" she said as she ran up beside him, trying to read his face. She knew she wouldn't see anything, since the Doctor rarely showed emotion when something bad was about to happen, but she couldn't help but try. "Hmm? Don't worry, it was just something I thought I saw; it was probably Rainbow Dash testing out one of her stunts." He said it with a smile, but Ditzy could tell by his eyes that something was wrong; those deep blue and extremely sad looking eyes. She decided not to push the subject anymore, since he would just deny everything. She knew that he was only trying to protect her, however she couldn't help but feel like he was treating her like a filly. They both continued walking in silence, until the glow from Ponyville shone through the trees. Ditzy had always loved to sit up on the hills near Sweet Apple Acres and look down on the town as everypony started going to bed; all the lights slowly turning off one by one. Her eyes lit up when she saw her house, sitting just on the other side of the river that ran through town. She quickly ran up to the front door and opened it before stepping inside to turn on the lights. The Doctor watched her go inside the house and smiled. He couldn't stop himself from glancing towards town every few seconds, when he knew she wasn't watching him. He had no need to worry her about something that could be just a false alarm. "Doctor do you want to come inside for some muffins?" she was standing in the doorway now, looking at him. "Sorry Ditzy I can't, I have to get to Twilight's library before it closes and she goes to bed." Even before he finished talking, he had stood up and started to run off towards town. Ditzy frowned and lowered her head before walking back inside and shutting the door. She wished more than anything that he would stay, but knew once he had his mind set on something there was no stopping him. She let out a sigh and sat down at her kitchen table, before grabbing a muffin. She hadn't realized how hungry she was until the smell of her kitchen reached her nose. Her mouth watered as she carried the muffin into the living room and sat down on the couch. She quickly ate the muffin before yawning a couple times. "Muffins are always better before bedtime" she murmured through a yawn. She laid her head down on the side of the couch before drifting off to sleep, still facing the door just in case he decided to come back. Chapter 2The Doctor paused in the middle of the bridge that lead into town and looked down into the river. He remembered sitting here with Ditzy when they first met and smiled. He wanted her to be by his side but didn't want to risk her getting hurt, if he was dealing with what he thought he was then he wanted her as far away as possible. He shook his head trying to clear his thoughts before he stood up and continued on. It only took him a couple minutes to cross town and reach the street that the library was on, the street was only a couple blocks long and the library sat at one end while Sugar Cube Corner sat on the other. He had just walked out from behind the small restaurant that homed the Pink mare who loved to throw parties for the entire town and the family named for their profession. He looked down the street to see that the library's lights were still on meaning Twilight was still up. With a smile he began to walk in the center of the street towards the library. He quickened his pace as he saw something red and white fly out one of the windows on the second floor, and thought it was some kind of monster trying to run away. By the time he reached the library a small crowd had formed and he was forced to stand in the back struggling to see what was going on. When he finally pushed his way thru, he could see the red and white object he saw fly out of the window was a young stallion who seamed to be very confused and scared. He noticed Twilight was standing at the door saying something but couldn't understand her because of all the ponies talking around him. He looked around angrily at the other ponies trying to get them all to be quiet so he could hear what was being said, he turned his head to the red stallion who had begun to speak. The Doctor missed the first half of what he said, he seamed to be fighting with Twilight or atleast that's what it looked like. "I'm sorry, I'm not really thinking straight i went to bed last night in my world and today i wake up here in equestria" said the stallion to AppleJack who was standing in the library's doorway. "Interesting.." he thought pushing his way thru the crowd until he was standing in front of them and inside the small ring that had formed in front of the library. He could see that the stallion had a few cuts all over his body and was standing on broken glass from the window. "What do you mean 'your world'? Are you saying your not from Gaia?" He said walking closer, he still didn't know exactly what this planet was called, some said it was Gaia while others said it was Equus. "No i come from a planet called earth but i don't think anyone...I'm mean anypony, knows what I'm taking about" said the stallion lifting his head up to look directly at the doctor, he turned his head and began to look around the crowd like he expected them to attack him or something. the Doctor smiled, this whole thing was turning into quite the puzzle and he liked it. "So I’m guessing you were human then?" he said walking up to the stallion, carefully avoiding the glass. The red stallion's ears perked up and he looked up at the Doctor. "Your the Doctor, aren't you?" the stallion now was looking at him with awe, like a fan would look at his favorite singer or actor when they shook his hand. "Yep that would be me...but how did you know that? and what should i call you?" he said, he was beginning to grow more and more suspicious of who this pony was, thinking it was one of his enemies from the past, or even one he hadn't met yet. "Well i know you from stories I've read and everyone I know on earth just calls me 'Hoss' so i guess that would work fine here" Hoss said, The Doctor had begun to pace around him deep in thought. This pony who called himself 'Hoss' didn't seem dangerous but he still didn't trust him, he had met a lot of people who acted kind to him and had betrayed him putting him and his companions in harms way for their own selfish desires. "Doctor is he from a different universe?" Twilight asked stepping out of the library to stand beside AppleJack making him stop his pacing and look at her. "Not just a different universe but a different dimension, but yes, I do believe so since this dimension has ponies in place of humans like in the dimension he is explaining" he said looking around to see if anyone understood him, his eyes fell on a pink mare who was bouncing up and down next to Twilight. "wibbly wobbly timey wimey" she said with a big smile on her face. "Exactly!" he liked Pinkie Pie because she always seamed to understand what he was saying, he wouldn't dare take her with him as his companion because of how hyper she always was and might put herself or him in danger, He watched as she bounced down the street towards Sugar Cube Corner humming a song he didn't recognize. "So how did i get here then? All i remember is going to sleep in my bed then waking up here" said Hoss as the Doctor scanned him with his Sonic Screwdriver trying to pick up anything that would point out how he got here or if he was telling the truth about where he came from. "Don't forget running into my bookshelf and knocking all those books off, your going to have to pay for the damage done to those." The Doctor could hear some anger in her voice but knew she was only acting since she rarely got mad over something so simple. "alright...um...Hoss was it?" he said looking at the red stallion who nodded yes. "ah yes, anyway, I think we should all go into the library and have a nice little chat" he said motioning at Twilight and her friends, he could see that Hoss wasn't going to answer any of the questions he planned to asked with a crowd staring at him. "That's fine with me as long as Twilight doesn't throw me out anymore windows" Grunted Hoss as he looked up at the window before standing up and following Twilight's friends into the library. The Doctor turned and followed them deep in thought trying to figure out why this pony thought he was human or how he had been transformed into a pony if he was telling the truth. Before he shut the door he noticed that the group of ponies standing around had started to gather in front of the door. "I better lock the door so we don't have any interruptions" He thought pulling his Sonic Screwdriver out and activated the lock on the door. Chapter 3The Doctor put His Sonic Screwdriver on a nearby table and turned around, he saw that Hoss was looking at him with concern "Don't worry that's so we don't have to deal with unwanted guests until we're done" he said picking up the device and putting it into his coat pocket before walking over and sitting next to Twilight. He saw Hoss look at the door again before walking over and sitting down in front of them. "alright I can't really explain this alone" Hoss said looking at the doctor who gestured to proceed. "ok so doctor care to help me explain to them what happened last night?" Hoss said looking at the doctor, He had no idea what had happened last night so it would be impossible for him to explain it, he did have a couple ideas but none would make sense to any of the ponies sitting around him. "if your from the dimension i think you are then you should be capable of explaining this yourself" He said motioning for Hoss to continue explaining. "i guess i can try." he said with a shrug. "Alright so what i believe happened is a dimensional rift opened between my room and here." he said motioning at the couch. "That still doesn't explain how you know our names or how you know the doctor, sugercube." said Applejack. "Well in my dimension you all are in TV shows, the Doctor is from a show called Doctor Who, while you four are from a show called My Little Pony." Hoss said motioning at everypony as he mentioned them. "what the hay is a TV?" asked Rainbow Dash as she hovered inches off the ground. "TV stands for Television which is a system for transmitting visual images and sound that are reproduced on screens, chiefly used to broadcast programs for entertainment." the Doctor said to the group who were still confused. Hoss rolled his eyes "always over explaining things doctor" he looked at the rest of the group "Is there a movie theater here in Ponyville?" he said as he walked over to the window and looked out. "Yes but i don't see how that has anything to do with what your explaining." said Twilight. "It has everything to do with it, a TV is like a mini theater that fits in your home and instead of just one movie playing there are hundreds of them." he said as he walked back over to the group. "gah, im getting off track again, anyway I've watched these TV shows a lot and that's where I've seen the doctor and you four." he said looking around. "why do you keep looking around as if you expect something to jump out at you?" said Twilight as she watched Hoss look around the room. "I am" he said looking back at Twilight. "Haven't you noticed Pinkie Pie hasn't shown up yet? Meaning she is going to show up eventually and want to throw me a welcome-to-equestria-party or something and i want to be ready." he said as he began looking around again. "uh huh" said Twilight as she rolled her eyes and looked at the doctor. "so how do we get him back to his dimension?" "well, I could take him in the TARDIS but i need to let these dimensional rifts heal before i open another one to take him back." the doctor said as he pulled out his sonic screwdriver and scanned the air around the couch. He was getting a large energy feedback but couldn't locate the point of origin. "why can't you take him back now? what harm will that do to the rifts?" said Rainbow Dash. "If i open another rift it may cause both rifts to grow in size or open more and we will have even more problems." He heard a thud and then Hoss' voice "nice try but i could hear your wings flapping" The Doctor looked at where the thud came from and saw Rainbow Dash sitting on the floor looking at Hoss, everypony turned at the sound of someone knocking on the door, The Doctor stood up thinking it could be someone trying to break in and walked over to the door to be ready to subdue the intruder, but the knocking stopped before he reached it. "looks like Pinkie is here" said Hoss over his shoulder as he climbed up the stairs. The Doctor looked out the window to see the crowd had left and the streets were quiet, most of the house's had their lights off and nopony was roaming the streets. He heard some commotion from upstairs before he saw Pinkie bounce down the stairs followed by Hoss. "I see you have already met our strange visitor" said Twilight, "Hey that's not nice, Pinkie isn't strange, she's just random" said Hoss as he looked at Twilight. "I was talking about you" she said as she rolled her eyes again. "I like him, he doesn't freak out like most of the new ponies i welcome." Pinkie said as she came to a stop next to her friends. The Doctor had to put a hoof over his mouth to try and hide his laughter. "Where is Fluttershy? I would like to explain this only once." Hoss said as he sat down again. "I'm here" said a small voice from a hallway behind the group. "can you hear me alright back there or do you want to come out and join your friends?" "I can hear you fine, please continue, but only if you to." said the voice again. "Alright so now that everyone..i mean everypony is here I can answer questions since i have no clue where to start explaining." said Hoss as he looked at the group sitting before him. "i guess ill go first" said the doctor as he stood up and walked a little closer to Hoss. "so Hoss do you have an idea of how you got here?" Hoss looked at the floor then back at the doctor. "well i think something caused a dimensional rift to open here and where my bed is located in my dimension, I'm surprised i was the only thing to come thru since i was laying on my bed when it happened." The doctor looked surprised at his answer and couldn't help but feel impressed by his knowledge. "I have to thank you for that bit of info since i did get it from your show" said Hoss looking at the Doctor. He stood up and moved behind the group before sitting back down as Hoss continued to answer questions. He liked the idea of him having his own show, it was going to make things a lot easier to explain to Hoss when the time called for it. He looked out the window thinking about Ditzy again "I wonder if she is upset that i had to leave or if she is asleep by now" He thought turning his attention back to Hoss who was explaining how AppleJack got her cutie mark. The Doctor looked at Hoss' flank to see that it was completely blank "That makes it even easier to see that he isn't from here since he looks to be about twenty and still has no cutie mark" he thought looking back out the window. "Alright now that you believe me what do we do next?" He heard Hoss say before he turned back to him. "I would take you home now but my TARDIS might create more dimensional rifts, and we can't have that cause next time it may not be a harmless red pony that pops out." "Hey that's not nice" smirked Hoss. "I guess tomorrow ill go wonder around Ponyville and have a look around" He heard Twilight say something back but wasn't paying much attention anymore. "When i get back to the TARIDS i need to scan this whole area to make sure its just one rift that has appeared and not more" He thought standing up and walking over to the door. He used his Sonic Screwdriver to unlock the door and walked out, following the same path he had entered town along. The night air had cooled a bit and the wind had picked up causing the leafs on the trees to shake, he walked over the bridge and looked into the dark swirling water below before he looked over at Ditzy's house which was completely dark. He felt a little sad at the sight since he wanted to have a muffin with Ditzy while he discussed the dimensional rifts before he headed back to the TARDIS to get some much needed sleep. He let out a sigh before walking into the forest to find his TARDIS. Inside the forest was much darker than inside the town since most of the moonlight had been blocked out by the large trees overhead, he could hear animals scurrying thru the nearby bushes and every once in awhile he could hear the distant growl of a manticore as it hunted. He smiled as his TARDIS came into view, it seamed to glow with what little moonlight penetrated the canopy above. He clapped his hooves together and the TARDIS' doors flew open and bathed him in it's warm and inviting glow. He walked inside and the doors shut behind him, he had decided to stay up all night looking for rifts but the need for sleep was to great, If he stayed up his work would become sloppy and he would likely miss something important. He decided it was better to get some rest now and wake up early the next morning to scan the entire area. He slowly walked down the different corridors of the TARDIS letting out a few yawns every now and then, He finally reached his room which was between the pool he hardly used and the drawing room which housed all the objects he could save from his adventures to remind him of companions he had lost. He walked into his bedroom which just had a small bed inside since he hardly ever used it and had no use for decorations in here, he flopped onto his bed and let out a sigh before closing his eyes and falling asleep. Chapter 4The Doctor woke up several hours after laying down feeling full rested, unlike humans and the ponies of this dimension that needed about eight hours of sleep he only needed two to four hours to feel fully rested. He stretched his legs a bit before walking down the corridors and to the console, he never really had to pay attention to which direction he went since the TARDIS always changed the corridors around. He finally reached the console after a few minutes of walking, he stretched one final time before running up and began to toggle levers and twist handles before looking at the screen that was attached to the console support. The screen went from black to something that looked like a submarine's sonar panel. The screen was completely black except for a dot in the middle of the screen that had a line rotating around it, the line slowly rotated around the center and let out a 'ding' when it passed over the only one spot. "hehe..you just can't beat the Soviets and their Sonar, alright this says that there is only one rift, and it seams to be dormant meaning i will have to open it again to take him home." He said out loud looking at the screen as it let out another 'ding' when the line passed over the spot again. He pulled a couple levers and the screen went dark again, he stood up and walked over to the door checking his pockets making sure he had grabbed his Sonic Screwdriver just in case. He pushed on the door gently and they swung open, he was met with a gust of cool wind and the smell of spring in full bloom. He walked outside into the cool morning air, the sun had just risen above the distant mountains and the sky was already filled with white clouds that were turned orange by the sun's glow. As he walked along the path he looked around enjoying the peaceful morning, he hadn't enjoyed anything like this in what felt like forever since he seamed to always run into trouble everywhere he went. He had planned to go to Ditzy's place to let her know whats going on before he headed off to tell Princes Celestia, since he had an arrangement with her to let her know if anything strange happened in Ponyville while he was there. He continued walking in silence until he saw the familiar white house sitting on the outskirts of town, The house was a small two story house with the usual hay roofing and a small garden just to the left of it. He walked up to the house and up onto the porch before knocking on the door a couple times, he waited a few minutes before he heard something fall inside "Whoops" Said a female voice from behind the door as it opened. The Doctor smiled as he saw Ditzy open the door carefully and look up at him. "I hope you saved some muffins for me from last night" He said with a smile before walking inside. "Well no but i did make a fresh batch this morning" She said with a smile closing the door and following the Doctor into the kitchen. He walked into the kitchen and sat down at the small table in the corner before picking up a muffin and taking a bite out of it, he almost spat it back out because of how hot it was but quickly swallowed instead. "Careful they're still hot" Ditzy said walking into the kitchen, he smiled and sat the muffin down to let it cool off before he ate anymore. She walked over to the table and sat down on a chair she had pulled out, she picked up a muffin and took a bite of it before looking at him. He smiled before he started to explain "Ditzy, last night when i went to the library I met a pony there that was from another dimension" he said picking up the muffin before taking a bite since it had cooled. "Why couldn't i have come with you? When do i get to meet him?" She said with wide eyes and a big grin. "No your not going to meet him since i have no clue if he is dangerous or not, and i don't want to risk your life finding out" He sighed looking at her. She looked at the floor for a long time before finally looking back at him. "ok then" She said looking back at the floor. He hated to see her upset like this, it made both his hearts ache "Well what do you say about coming with me to see Princess Celestia to report whats going on?" He watched her perk up and look at him with an excited expression. "That would be wonderful Doctor" She said eating the rest of her muffin. "Alright meet me out front when your done" He said standing up and heading out the front door. While he waited he noticed Rainbow Dash clearing the clouds in the sky and waved at her, she paused for a few seconds to wave back before shooting off thru a couple clouds causing them to explode. He still was amazed at how in this dimension all the weather was controlled by Pegasi and the celestial bodies were controlled by two Princesses. He looked back at Ditzy's house just in time to see the grey Pegasus walk out and shut the door, she quickly flew over to where he was standing and landed before they both turned and walked down the path that led to the TARDIS. The forest was a lot cooler than the town had been and Ditzy enjoyed seeing the different types of birds flying around, singing their songs to communicate with each other. She felt safe being with the Doctor, when she was by herself she always felt in danger but when she was with him.... she felt like nothing could go wrong and if it did, he was there to fix it and put everything right. She smiled looking at him walking in front of her, they rounded a corner and she saw the blue box sitting in the middle of a small clearing ahead of them and quickened her pace to match his. He stopped just in front of the doors and clapped his hooves together causing the doors on the TARDIS to fly open, they both quickly hurried inside before the doors slammed shut again. He ran up to the controls and started pulling the different levers and pushing buttons, she smiled as she thought just how much he looked like he had no clue what he was doing and was just trying to show off while trying to figure out which button does what. "Doctor try to keep us in the same time." she said walking up the short staircase that led up to the control panel. "That shouldn't be to hard since we are just moving to a different location instead of a different time" He said as the TARDIS began to hum and vibrate. She instinctively leaned up against one of the handrails that encircled the control panel watching in amazement as the Doctor not only kept his footing but seamed to not notice the TARDIS rocking from side to side as he steered it thru the air. She began to get lost in her thoughts and memories while she waited for him to land, reliving the different adventures they had and everything he had told her, like she did every night before she went to bed. Chapter 5"Doctor?" she said looking at him as they both walked towards the TARDIS. They were in a long and dark hallway that was illuminated via a transparent roof and a large amount of stars nearby, one was especially close but it could only been seen thru the front of the ship which they had just left since there seamed to be nobody at the controls. Outside she could see a few stars and a couple planets that orbited the star, if she squinted she could just make out a collection of stars that looked to be a galaxy of some type. "Yes Ditzy?" he said looking at her as he continued walking. "What exactly happened to your people?" he stumbled a bit before regaining his posture. "Why are you asking me this now? Besides i already told you, they all vanished in the great time war" He said not turning to look at her. "Doctor...I'm not a little filly anymore, i can handle the truth." She said bumping into him to make sure he heard her. "They grew rouge with power and i had to...lock them all into a time lock." He said with a sigh. "Oh..whats a time lock?" she said looking at him, she now understood why he always looked sad, even when he smiled the sadness still lingered in his eyes. "A time lock is a way of keeping a certain event contained, with them in the time lock they can never escape and bring harm to anyone else." They both continued walking until they were standing in front of the blue box, the Doctor clapped his hooves together and walked in while Ditzy stayed outside for a bit staring up at the stars that shown down thru the transparent roof. She let out a sigh before standing up and walking into the TARDIS. "Doctor?" She said again slowly walking up the stairs that led to the console, she was looking at the console itself instead of him. "Yes Ditzy?" he had sat down on one of the benches around the console and was looking at her, she noticed that his voice had a hint of annoyance. "Well...what exactly did you mean when you told me that the TARDIS was alive? How can a machine be alive?" She said sitting down in front of the console and looking at the large cyan cylinder that stretched from the top of the room to the bottom. "It's kind of hard to explain....basically the TARDIS is able to think for itself. The Time Lords did this so the pilot would be able to treat the ship as if it were just another crew member, which made it easier to command it to travel to a certain spot or time." He said looking back at the console and smiling. "How did you get it?" she walked over to the bench and sat down beside the Doctor who was still looking at the control panel. "Well I stole her..." He said looking down at the ground "When i was younger i stole this ship and locked all the Time Lords inside the time lock with it because i saw how evil they were becoming and i believed i was the only one that could stop them before anything horrible happened, we have been traveling the universe ever since. She has been with me for almost a thousand years now but still has a few surprises for me every now and then." He sighed before looking at the grey Pegasus sitting next to him, her eyes had inverted and she was looking at the console with wonder. "How many people are suppose to fly this Doctor? I mean it looks like it would be to big for just one person." She said turning her attention back to the Doctor, he smiled a bit before speaking again. "Well it was originally piloted by ten different Time Lords but since I am the last one the TARDIS has adapted herself to make it easier for me alone to pilot her." He said, that distant and sad look returned to his face. She stood up and walked over to the console and looked around at all the buttons and levers that covered it, most of the things she saw here seamed to not belong but fit anyway. "Yep she's been good to me, Oh i see you've noticed some of the Jerry rigged parts i have on the console" He said jumping off the bench and running up beside her. "Jerry what?" She said looking at him, then back at the console. "Jerry rigged, it means i fixed these controls with stuff that isn't meant to be here, i picked up the term when i traveled to America for a couple weeks to investigate something ." He said looking at the Sherman tank gear shift he had for the stabilizer. Ditzy shrugged, she had no idea what an America was and she didn't feel like asking the Doctor anymore questions since she could tell he was already annoyed by the bombardment of questions she had just asked. The TARDIS shook violently, catching both the Doctor and Ditzy by surprise. "Whats going on Doctor?" she had grabbed onto one of the handrail supports and was holding on. "looks like it found us" He said grabbing the controls and pressing a few buttons, the screen that extended from the control panel clicked on revealing the outside of the TARIDS. "what is that thing?" she said staring at the dark mass moving thru the shadows, it had the shape of a pony but it's movements were fluid almost as if it was made entirely out of water. She shrank back against the Doctor as the creature lunged at the TARDIS causing it to shake again. "I haven't the slightest idea of what that is Ditzy, but i don't think it likes us very much." He said pulling a single red lever that protruded out of the side of the control panel. Ditzy watched as the cyan cylinder lite up and a small piston like device inside began to move up and down. The shaking suddenly stopped and the screen that had shown the monster was now pitch black, except for a few far spaced stars. "There we go" The Doctor said with a smile before running over to the TARDIS' doors and opening them up. She had to shield her eyes from the blinding light of the star that now seamed to be directly in front of the TARDIS. She stepped over to the right of the door to stand inside the shade so she could look out side without having to cover her eyes. "Whats that?" she said pointing at a large grey object floating directly towards the star. "That is the ship we were just on, it has been drifting thru space for almost two hundred years and is finally about to reach the end of its journey" He said pointing a hoof at the star. "What happened to the crew?" She was now looking at him, she glanced at the ship every few seconds not wanting to miss the moment it entered the star's orbit. "Well I'm guessing that the creature that was still on board when we arrived got them, amazing that it's still alive although im guessing that is because it was in some kind of hibernative state until we showed up and woke it up again." Ditzy turned away from him and watched the ship slowly floating thru space. "Did you plan this Doctor?" She said looking at him. "Well yes and no, yes because i wanted to show you an event like this where nopony got hurt, and no because i didn't plan on landing inside the ship" He looked at her then back at the ship. "Only reason we went inside the ship and wondered around was because we arrived about an hour earlier than i planned and had some time to kill" He had glanced back at Ditzy to see she was watching the ship to. "What about the creature?" she said not looking at him. He looked at her for a few seconds before she finally turned her head "I had no idea that there was anything still alive on that ship" He smiled before looking at the grey mass floating in front of them. He hated lying to her but he didn't want her thinking he had purposely put her in danger, no what had happened was just bad luck, yes he knew about the creature but he had no clue it was so dangerous, if he had known that he wouldn't have allowed her to leave the TARDIS in the first place. He looked up from the floor to see the ship had begun to fall apart and most of it had been engulfed in flames. The pieces that were ripped off flew towards the star but never reached it, they simple where vaporized into nothingness from the intense heat. A large explosion broke the silence as it ripped thru the ship, signaling that the heat had finally reached the ship's fuel supply, the few burning pieces of metal that remained slowly floated thru space until they were vaporized by the star, when everything was silent again the doctor clapped his hooves together and the doors to the TARDIS slammed shut making Ditzy jump back in surprise. "Ok Ditzy where to now, OH i know lets go to Thala, I heard from one of the locals of the last planet we went to that Thala has an entire ocean made out of crystal" He said pulling a few levers before turning to look at Ditzy as she walked up next to him. "Sure Doctor, that sounds really interesting" She said smiling at him. He ran around the console a few times before walking up to Ditzy and looking down at the control panel. "Push that button right there Ditzy" He said pointing at the button, he hardly ever let anyone help him pilot the TARDIS but she had been traveling with him for a couple months now and he trusted her completely. Ditzy lifted a hoof and slowly pushed down the button not knowing what would happen, for all she knew this button could be the self destruct button to the TARDIS. She kept remember parts from some of the books she had read at Twilight's library about how the villains always placed a self destruct button somewhere on their deadly machine that the good pony would always find and defeat the villain using it. The TARDIS made its usual noise signaling that it was taking off and the TARDIS began to vibrate a bit. "And off we go into the time steam, Allons-y" The doctor said smiling down at her. She loved to travel with him since everywhere and everyWHEN they went was an adventure, this strange man that appeared that summer's day near the edge of the forest, had offered her the entire universe and she had gladly came along with him, She had no reason not to trust him since he always seamed to do the right thing, sure a lot of ponies have died on the adventures they have went on, but he tried his hardest to saved all the ones he could, right? She looked at him to see he was to busy watching the monitor in front of him to see that she was now looking at him with a worried expression on her face. He had told her that he had traveled with a lot of different companions but never told her what really happened to them, she was beginning to suspect that the reason he had that sad look in his eyes was because all his previous companions had met an untimely end. "Come on Ditzy, your being silly, he probably just dropped them off in their correct times when they had grown tired of exploring" she thought looking back at him as the TARDIS came to a sudden stop. "Here we are Ditzy, Thala" He said running over to the door and flinging it open. She sat by the control panel still deep in thought before standing up and slowly walking outside, sure she had seen the crystal empire once or twice but never an entire ocean made out of crystal. She forced herself to stop thinking about his past companions so she could enjoy this trip, she knew as long as she stayed close to the Doctor nothing bad would happen and if it did he always set things right and both of them would be in the TARDIS about to take off to another place laughing about how scared they were and how much running they did. She smiled and quickly ran down the stairs to try and follow him before she got to far behind. Chapter 6Ditzy was shaken from her memories by the TARDIS lurching to one side, throwing both her and the Doctor into the guard rail that circled the console. The TARDIS gave a sudden shake then slammed down throwing both of them into the air for a few seconds before they both slammed into the floor. "Ow,,,What the heck Doctor?" Ditzy said standing up and running a hoof along the top of her head. "Heh..sorry, its been awhile since Ive actually flown the TARDIS and that was in my home dimension" The Doctor said standing up and looking at her before brushing some of the dust out of his mane. "Are you ok Ditzy?" he said walking up to her and quickly looking her over. "Ya im find just a bit shaken is all" She said looking back at him, he still had a layer of dirt on his coat from landing on the floor but she could only see it when she looked closely since it blending in with his coat so well, she looked at her own coat to see it was just as dirty if not more and it really stood out against her grey coat making it really noticeable. She quickly shook herself sending dust into the air around her, she looked back at him before putting a hoof up to cover her mouth as she let out a few sneezes. "When was the last time you cleaned your ship doctor, its so dirty and" She tried to finish but another sneeze made it impossible. "Dusty. ya i know, i really need to get in here and clean the whole thing out. Maybe we can do it after we go see Celestia" He said walking over to the white double doors that lead outside and pushed them open. Outside he could see he had landed next to some kind of large hedge fence, but quickly realized he had landed in the small court yard separating the castle from the hedge maze located behind it. He grinned before looking down, letting out a small sigh as he saw that the TARDIS had crushed what looked to be a stone table and maybe a bench. "Just my luck" he said before quickly running back into the TARDIS. Ditzy had walked passed the doctor and outside into the small court yard and instantly recognized it as the area that they used for setting up all the different booths during the Gala. She decided to walk around a bit since she had only been here once and it was at night so she hadn't had a chance to see all the different statues and plants. This area had been her favorite place to be when the Princess hosted the Grand Galloping Gala since this is where all the different booths were set up for ponies to sell their different types of foods and gifts that they had brought with them from all over Equestria to others. The only reason she had gotten to go in the first place was that Celestia had sent Twilight eight tickets instead of only seven and she had happened to go by to check out a cooking book from the library and Twilight had given her the last ticket as a gift. She stopped looking around and quickly turned around when she heard the TARDIS begin to lift up into the air, she instantly began to worry about whether he was going to leave her behind, but quickly put that thought into the back of her mind as the TARDIS slowly started to descend again on an open patch of grass. The double doors flew open and the Doctor ran out only stopping to look at her for a second before running around the TARDIS a few times "good i didn't land on anything this time" he said looking back at the crushed table and bench. "um..Ditzy remind me to mention to the royal guards that something had crushed the table and bench over there" he said motioning at the small pile of rubble, a perfect square was left in the center of the pile where the TARDIS had pushed all the rubble aside to land levelly. She smiled before walking up to a small garden that was next to the TARDIS, she had loved the flowers that were located here since they smelled amazing and looked so beautiful, she had tried to find out what kind they were but the gardener said he only watered the plants and had no idea what they were. "Well Ditzy lets head inside and speak with the princess before it gets any later." he said turning back to the TARDIS and clapping his hoofs together, the doors swung shut and banged together before the lock clicked shut. He turned to Ditzy and gave a little wink "Clap on, clap off" He said acting like he was clapping his hooves together again. "Clap on, clap off? whats that, some kind of new catch phrase?" Ditzy said looking at him with one eyebrow raised. "No..its from that one...ohh that's right, that isn't a thing in this dimension" he said looking at Ditzy putting his hoof up to his chin and resting it on it. "What isn't a thing?" she said looking even more confused. "Never mind its just a saying the humans invented to go with a device they made that turns on and off lights when it hears the sound of a clap." he said as he started to walk down the path that lead to the castle. Ditzy shrugged and watched him walk for a bit before she ran up to catch him, he always talked about strange things but no matter what he said he always made it sound interesting and impressive, from the stories he had told her about his dimension the human creatures seamed to be very smart and very kind, he had said that there were a few things he hated about them like how they had a need for war and conflict but they made up for that with their kindness to others and love for each other. As they walked she couldn't stop thinking about all he had said about them, he talked about them like they were his favorite pets that he was trying to show off all the time, she stopped walking for a second and stared at him until he noticed she wasn't by his side and turned around. "Whats wrong Ditzy?" he said looking at her with a soft grin. "Noth...nothing just thinking to myself, im going to stay out here for a bit and walk around looking at the plants and animals until your done." She had begun to walk off to a nearby bench and lifted herself up onto it before she looking back at him. "Alright if you want to, are you sure you don't want to come inside with me? It'll be fun" he said with a big grin on his face as he walked over to her. "Ya im sure, my legs still hurt from all the running we did on our last trip" She giggled a little bit before looking up into a nearby tree at a group of bird. "Alright, try to stay out of trouble while im gone" He said giving her a stern look, she knew he was joking but the look he gave her still made her feel a little uneasy. She hated to admit it to herself but there was a small part of her that was afraid of him, not because he was a time traveling pony or even the fact that he was an alien, it was how clever and manipulating he could be that really scared her. He turned around and walked thru a large gate that was at the end of the path and disappeared from sight, she layed on the bench for a little while longer just watching the birds fly from tree to tree, to lost in thought to notice the rain clouds being pushed in by a team of Pegasi. She only looked up after a raindrop landed on her noise and made her flinch back. She quickly sat up and ran over to the nearest tree before the storm finally broke and rain began to pour down, she sat down in the cool and dry grass under the protection of the tree and began to get lost in her thoughts again as she watched the rain pour down.
Chapter 1The wind blew through the tops of the trees, shaking droplets of water left behind by the large thunderstorm that passed only hours before.
