It was a cold fall morning in London as a handsome brown stallion made his way down a street called 'Hoof Walk Lane'. He had a very important duty to attend to, giving a letter to a mare that lived on 'Rainboom Road'.Her name was Ditzy Doo Hooves, but professionally was Sherlock Hooves. London's best detective that ever lived. "I don't know why I have to go get the letter from the office while Ditzy could" He sighed. As he trotted down the street a white unicorn with an electric blue mane stopped in front of him "Hey Turner what's the hurry? Don't you want to help for The Celestial lining?" she asked.
"I would if I could Vinyl,but I have an important meeting with-"
"Your Ditzy Doo?"Vinyl cut off the stallion's reason
He shook his head in annoyance "Why does everyone say Me and Ditzy are dating, we're just a team! And only a team!" Time Turner shouted out loud so loud that everypony stopped and listened to them talk.
"Geez Turner, don't get so angry. I was only kidding about you and Ditzy alright?" The unicorn sighed "You can never take a joke".
But it wasn't true, Turner was madly in love with his partner and every case brought him so close to winning her heart but something too important always pops up and had Ditzy dragged away from him. It was always like this on every case, the big downfall.
Time Turner bid Vinyl a farewell and continued his journey.A street sign was in view 'Rainboom Road', where he was headed. The brown stallion turned towards a large red house and knocked on the door. "Who is it?" a voice came from inside.
"It's Turner!"he called. The door slowly opened to a large hallway with a black carpet; pictures of Ditzy and Turner were on there. Only pictures of them. Turner and Ditzy at the pub, Turner and Ditzy at the tailor, and Turner and Ditzy at the park; pigeons were on Ditzy's hat while she had fed them and Turner was asleep on the bench.
He walked down the hall towards the third room into the living room where a gray pegasus with a brown cloak was reading a newspaper. Turner immediately froze when he saw her. Her perfect blonde mane was long and full of life, he found her yellow cock eyes very cute, and when she looked up face to face with Turner, he was just about to blush.
"Did you acquire the letter?"she asked. Turner slightly nodded and handed her the envelop. The mare ripped it open and read the letter inside with a satisfied smile.She had the letter in one hoof and her newspaper in her other.
"Well?"He asked impatiently about the letter's content reading.
"Well I have good news and bad news..."Ditzy sighed.
"What's the good news?"
"The Celestial Lining will be celebrated in a week with Princess Celestia herself coming to London"
Turner had gulped down a nervous stutter that was edging in his mouth "A-and the bad news?"he asked
Ditzy took one good look at her partner and said "The King and Queen have returned".Time Turner gasped in astonishment of the news.
"But that's impossible! They're in prison!"he exclaimed. The last time they had faced with the criminals was when they had swore escape and revenge on the detectives for bringing them into justice. They had been arrested for murdering hundreds of ponies by sneaking into their house and stabbing their chests open when they were asleep. Yes, indeed these were hardy criminals and if the news were true...
"The letter is from the prison guards themselves, well the surviving ones"She corrected. She gave Turner the letter to read it.
Dear Hooves and Turner, the king and queen have
escaped! it started at 4'o clock in the morning when they
were supposed to be in their cells sleeping but out of
nowhere Sombra vanished and the cell mysteriously swung
open. Several of our guards were killed on the spot and a hole
in the roof had appeared. By the name of Celestia this may be
the greatest case yet for you two and I'm afraid that if they have
escaped. They might be right behind you at this minute!
Turner stopped reading and jumped, he turned around in panic but there was nothing behind him except for the red wall, Ditzy chuckled a bit of her partner's cowardly panic over what a letter had said. Time Turner picked up the letter and continued reading.
But of course I know London's greatest detectives won't
ever have to worry about that because you need to get them by the
end of the week, no exceptions for a day later because the Celestial
Lining Celebration is when we are certain they will strike, the fate of
London is in your Hooves detectives. And we know we're in great
hooves. If you need any help just ask and back up will be here

The stallion thought for a moment about how the criminals escaped "Well, it is very odd how they escaped, but I'm sure we can clear this case faster than you can say Let the celebration, begin!".
"Don't be too sure now Turner, Today's Sunday and we only got until Saturday to catch Sombra and Chrysalis and it took us an entire month just to get the first clue of our first case with them" The gray pegasus reminded him.
Turner nodded remembering the fierce case, it was more tragic to Ditzy than him. Sombra and Chrysalis had not only gave her a never fading scar under her cloak but also, her coltfriend, Writtenscript was murdered right in front of her eyes by the king and queen.
He could tell Ditzy was thinking of Writtenscript too, a small sniffle came from her. "I..I think I'll go to bed early tonight"She sighed and trotted out of the living room leaving Turner by himself.
Time Turner sighed, he loved the mare very much but her heart would never leave Writtenscript even if he was dead.Oh Ditzy, we both share the same heart brake. He walked down the hall into a small bedroom, Ditzy was standing in front of an open closet. She took her cloak off revealing a long deep scar that ran along her back; it turned her gray fur into a faded red.
She hung her cloak up and walked to the bed. Ditzy got under the covers and layed down. Turner got into the other side of the bed next to her. Their tails brushed against each other's as the two fell asleep for the night.

P.s. most of you may wonder why Turner is our main character for this chapter, I've decided to try to get both of them into the scene so every other chapter will be each of them.

And you may wonder why I have made Ditzy smart, it is because as the sherlock of the detective case I decided she would be smarter and plus. I'd thought it'd be a funny twist if Turner was the derpy one and Ditzy was the genius.
It was the next morning as Ditzy and Turner were walking down Harmony Avenue a blue unicorn stallion went rushing in front of them not slowing down. "Watch out!"Ditzy said knocking Turner out of the way and sending him bowling towards a lamp post. The stallion immediately stopped in his tracks before he could bump into the mare.
"I'm sorry Miss, let me help you and your friend"the stallion had a deep low voice that sounded like he could be a professional body builder. Ditzy stared at the stallion for a split second; Sky blue fur with a navy blue mane wearing a constable uniform.
"Uh huh..."She slowly nodded her head as she faintly began blushing at the Unicorn's handsome appearance. The stallion walked over to Turner and froze as he saw the detective's face.
"Turner? By the name of Celestia are you doing here?"The stallion gasped.
Turner looked up at the stallion "Seatrot? What are YOU doing here?"Turner asked the blue stallion.
"I'm on my way to see the theater act this morning for Neigh be the one!"Seatrot explained.
Ditzy tried to hear the two's conversation His name is Teasalt? ugh! tea and salt really don't go well... she thought to herself of the stallion's mistaken name.
"Well Turner it has been fun catching up with familiar faces but I have a ticket to see the act, good luck with your case!" Seatrot said than trotted away.
"Why thank-wait a minute, how did he know about our case?"Turner asked to himself.
Ditzy rushed over to Turner as quickly as possible "Who was that?"she asked
Time Turner turned around to the pegasus "Oh,that was just my old college science partner, Seatrot" he said.
Seatrot...I'll never forget that name... Derpy looked down at her hooves blushing, Turner looked down at his partner's face in shock "A-are you blushing?"he asked.
"What!? Of course not! I was just feeling silly for thinking his name was Teasalt!"she quickly defended.
Turner thought for a moment then shuttered "Ugh,tea and salt do not mix at all..."he squirmed around in place trying to stop thinking before a thought of taste went to his taste buds. Ditzy shook her mind off of the handsome Seatrot. Of course Time Turner was handsome to her but he reminded her too much of Writtenscript to ever think of him more than a partner.He was funny,loving,cowardly yet brave sometimes, and always there support her in times of needs just like Writtenscript. She knew Time Turner loved her but she didn't want to hurt him, she had no other choice than to just find a way out every case when they're too close. Every case when they were too close to her falling in love with the stallion she had to fake a new clue just to get away from him.It hurt her more than it did him.
The detectives continued walked down Harmony Avenue towards the local constabulary "Ah,this may have been where Seatrot had came from. I guess he is a rookie constable trying doing his hardest in work but I don't think leaving the constabulary for some play is going to help him..." Ditzy sighed. She turned around to her dizzy partner "hey are you okay?" she asked.
Turner had a huge bump on his head "Yeah,only that my partner made me collide with a lamp post!"he huffed in anger. Ditzy chuckled a bit at Time Turner's bump.
"I guess you're a unicorn now..."She tried holding in a snicker but ended up laughing out loud like a mad mare. A few ponies on the street stopped and looked at them like if there were four timber wolves fighting.
Turner had rolled his eyes and continued on the path leaving his partner to make a fool of herself. "Unicorn! Ha!"she laughed still thinking of the funny bump on Turner's head. Geez, a unicorn! what a- focus Ditzy... the mare stood up and flew after the brown fake unicorn to the constabulary leaving ponies' faces confused.
"Ah,Hooves and Turner I'm glad you're here"A big reddish brown pegasus greeted the two incoming detectives.
"Oh Ginger Root you know if London is in danger we wouldn't miss it for the queen's fortune"Ditzy said.
Ginger Root had face hoofed himself "I still can't believe you guys gave that all away up for a filly's ransom" he sighed. Ditzy and Turner shrugged at the same time.
"A child is much more important than being rich Ginger Root"Turner reminded. The pegasus shook his head then lead the two to the basement cells.
"Here we have our roughest,toughest criminals locked up until execution. Chrysalis and Sombra were supposed to be executed today but they escaped yesterday, what cowards" Ginger Root explained. The ponies walked down the hall towards a big cell "And here ar-AGH!" the stallion stopped in his tracks as stains of blood were on the ground "The Bodies! Where are the bodies!" he shouted.
Ten constables came downstairs to their chief "What's the hold up boss? I'm trying to catch some sleep!"A small purple stallion complained. Ginger Root looked down sternly at the stallion.
"Those several bodies are gone and you worry about sleep! why I'll put you in a sleep for good!" The pegasus shouted and then an argument started with all the constables.
"And they wonder how Chrysalis and Sombra escaped...Let's go investigate the cell" Ditzy sighed and walked over to the escaped criminal's cell. She pulled out a magnifying glass from her cloak pocket and began examining the cell Nothing out of the ordinary yet....
Suddenly a small capsule dropped from a small air window into the cell "What the?"Ditzy looked at the capsule for a split second then yelled at the top of her voice...
"BOMB,EVACUATE THE CONSTABULARY!"

Love Is brewing as Turner now has competition with his own cousin for Ditzy's heart. This is going to be a problem Turner will need to solve WHILE still on the murder case.
