These Solar Rebels are perpetrators of Princess Celestia's rule. They were not such a problem in years past, but their numbers have grown, and are on the brink of war. They threaten to overthrow Celestia, and any who get in their way as well. Equestria once again needs its heroes, the bearers of the Elements of Harmony! However, the famous bearers, besides Twilight, are long passed. The new heroes are to be found in a small town not far from Canterlot. In fact, Six ponies are readying the Summer Sun Celebration right now... //-------------------------------------------------------// Peparations I: Magic //-------------------------------------------------------// Peparations I: Magic A purple unicorn stallion walked down one of Ponyville's dirt roads with a slight spring in their steps. "Down to Cider's place to check up on the catering for the Summer Sun Celebration," The unicorn told his assistant, a young female drake named Ruby. "Didn't the Apple family cater last time?" Ruby asked. "Yeah, they cater every year. Getting tired of apple pie?" "I..." "I'll just eat what's left in the fridge, then." "NO!" Ruby loved apple pie more than almost everything. The purple stallion just laughed to himself. "I wouldn't do that to you. You know that," He reassured his assistant. "Can't we PLEASE visit Chivalry first? PLEEEAASE!" "Uh... No." "PLEEEEAASE! I'll clean my room, and I'll organize the shelves I'll... I'll..." "First, no. Second, we share a room. Third, you already do that." Ruby in a huff, they walked down to Sweet Apple Acres, an apple orchard kept in the Apple family for generations. //-------------------------------------------------------// Preparations II: Honesty //-------------------------------------------------------// Preparations II: Honesty A purple stallion and a claret dragon strolled onto Sweet Apple Acres, and to any stranger, they would seem out of place. The unicorn had a clipboard and pen enveloped in his magic, and a pair of reading glasses rested on his muzzle. The dragon had a lime green bow on the back of her head and neckerchief around her neck. But they weren't out of place. They were welcome there anytime, they were friends of the workers there. Their names were Stargazer and Ruby. "Howdy, Star!" said a familiar voice with a southern accent. "Hey, Apple!" Answered Stargazer. "Here to check up on us?" "Yep, what ya got this time?" "Same as last time." "I figured." "Then why you keep comin' over is beyond me." "We've only got half a pie in the fridge." The two stallions shared a laugh before Apple Cider said, "Well, I gotta fix that, don't I?" "Yep." //-------------------------------------------------------// Preparations III: Loyalty //-------------------------------------------------------// Preparations III: Loyalty A purple unicorn, accompanied by a claret dragon, walked out of Sweet Apple Acres with a clipboard, a pen, and a pie that didn't go in. They hardly got ten feet before a cyan coated pegasus flew straight into them. But Stargazer couldn't stay angry at him. He was Stargazer's friend. "Hey," The pegasus began, "where are you going?" "To find you, Charge." "Well here I am. I know, I know, I'm amazing." "You're not very full of yourself, are you?" "No way. How could somepony as awesome as I am be full of himself?" "It's a mystery. And so are you." "Well, judging by your clipboard, Mr.Scholar, I'd say you were gonna ask me for an autograph." "Close. I was gonna ask if you knew that tomorrow is the Summer Sun Celebration, and you know what that means." "Yeah, yeah sunny skies. Got. It. Period." "Just make sure it's sunny." Chimed in a pink party pony. "What's up..." started Color Charge. "Well, see you in three chapters!" and with that, the pink stallion left. "Whatever, you know not to question..." but before Stargazer could finish, Color Charge left. //-------------------------------------------------------// Preparations IV: Kindness //-------------------------------------------------------// Preparations IV: Kindness Stargazer and Ruby, now getting impatient, walked down the dirt paved road. Eventually, they reached a small cottage, where bird songs could be heard from the ajar door. Bloomer loved his friends, so he never locked the door. His friends came and went as they could, and that's how he liked it. He didn't worry about burglaries, mostly because those kinds of ponies didn't live in Ponyville, but also because he didn't have anything worth stealing. So Stargazer let himself in, very quietly, to check on how the music was going. Even if he'd slammed the door, the birds knew Star, so they wouldn't have been deterred. The birds were planned to be the musical entertainment, just as they were ever since Fluttershy's spectacular performance. The song ended just as Stargazer was coming in, but Star needed no reassurance that his friend could handle the act, so Stargazer simply checked music off his list. "Would you like to hear the whole song?" Bloomer had a strange ability to know when a pony was behind him. "Of course, why not?" "All right then. One, two, three, and four."
