SEQUEL

Previous Chapter

If you're reading this, you either read Whiplash a long time ago and got a notification there was a new chapter, or you just finished the story for the first time.

So, I've been gone for two years doing st00fs, but I can't really say the nature of what I'm doing or where I am though.

In the author's note I said I wouldn't write a sequel, I wasn't going to write anything else, and I didn't really plan on coming back. I didn't know what military service was going to be like, so I just planned on that taking up pretty much all my time and focused on my career. Now I've finished a good portion of the part where it consumes all my time, and now I'm allowed to actually have a life and free time. I've had an idea in my head for a while, and I thought it might be interesting to do a sequel named Sins of the Father.

Just a heads up, I was 17 and 18 when I wrote Whiplash. There will be some things that aren't consistent with Whiplash, but they won't be dramatic or story changing. Namely, there will be alcohol, a lot more shenanigans, and the story itself I plan to be much more light hearted. I learned a lot from your constructive criticism while I wrote Whiplash. I can't guarantee my writing has gotten any better, I'm pretty rusty right now. I'm just two years older and crankier.

However, I'm writing Sins of the Father as its own story. You CAN read it without having to read Whiplash first, and also I am not going back to revise Whiplash at all.

All of you were really great when I wrote Whiplash. I did it for fun, and I'm still doing this just for fun. Military comes first, but I'll write and update when I can on the sequel. Sorry I bailed for a while!

Mosey on over to Sins of the Father, Whiplash's sequel.
