Sweet Destruction's backstory
As a filly my father never showed signs of caring, or wanting anything to do with me. He ran out before I was even born to be honest. The other ponies at my school always bullied me for not truly fitting in. Because everypony else had a dad who cared. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't fit in. So to save my self, and my mother, I moved away. I was going to Ponyville to try again in my life. But first, I needed a place to stay. Mama was asking everypony she knew in Ponyville if I could stay. We were just about outta hope when she finally got a place for me. She was reluctant to let me go at first. But after another week in which I came home crying everyday, she let me go. I didn't even hesitate, i grabbed my bag and tore outta Manehatten as soon as I could. When I got to my stop I saw her almost instantly. Like a giant, pink jumping bean. She only knew me as Sweets, a nickname my mom gave me.
As soon as I got off the train she ran over to me. "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie!"
"i'm Sweet Destruction."
"then why'd ya mom call ya sweets?"
"It's a nickname."
"oh, Let's go!" And off she bounced.
Pinkie Pie led me to her house, then up the stairs to the bedroom I'll be staying in. The walls were pink, same as the rest of the house. In the center was a double bed, with a nightstand beside it, a lamp and alarm clock sitting on it. She helped me put my books into the nightstand, for late night reading. Then she helped me put the little clothing I had into the dresser. When we finished unpacking she went to the door. Before she left the room she turned around and said, "dinners at four thirty. If you need anything at all, I'm right downstairs." I smiled and she left the room.
Let me say something you really need to know about me. Even if I'm dying on the inside, on the outside I am a bubble. I hide my pain behind a friendly smile to make anypony think I'm okay. According to a pony in my school (before I left) I had a sweet smile. That was the only nice thing anypony in that school ever said to me, and the only reason he said it was because a teacher forced him to.
Anyway, I didn't have a cutiemark till I started writing to my mother every night. That's when I realized, I love to write. I loved the feeling of finally being able to let everything out, even if it was only to a piece of paper and a quill. Once i realized I loved writing I couldn't quit. Nor did I want to. Everyday all i would do was write. When you have hooves it's not very easy to write. And I hadn't thought of writing with my mouth. So I used my horn. I didn't know it only worked for your special talent, seeing as I thought I didn't have a special talent. Then one day, after finishing a new letter to my mother, I looked at my flank for a second and I saw my cutiemark (a half completed scroll with a quill hovering over it). I was so happy.
I started school the next day.
After two months I still didn't have any friends. Some of the other ponies started picking on me again. But I held strong and kept my smile warm and shoulders up. Till I would get home, to my room. Then I cried. I acted happy around others, but I cut the act as soon as I got to my room. Even though I didnt have friends, Ponyville was still better than Manehatten.
I would write about what happened that day. I would vent, relieve myself from the pain of the day, only to prepare myself for the days to come. Even though it was painful for the first few months of my stay, I was still happier than i was in my old home.
I had my writing. I had my hope.

They were teasing me again. They always were. Calling me a loser. A no pony. Saying I didn't mean anything. Same as always. I kept my head high and smiled. Same as always. I cried the whole way home.
Same as always.
I was almost home when Derpy Whooves stopped me. "What's wrong?" she asked me.
'I don"t wanna talk about it." I stated, wiping my eyes.
Then Derpy's daughter ran up to her. "mommy, mommy! They did it again. And she just smiled at them. She's so brave!"
I burst into tears again and ran the rest of the way home. That night I was finished with everything. Every time I closed my eyes I heard them.
"You are such a loser!"
"Nopony cares about you!"
"Go home! Nopony wants you hear"
"oh my god, you are so pathetic. You don"t even have any friends."
Everyday the same old insults, cutting deeper into my emotional happiness, tearing it away.
Only this time, writing wasn't helping. I was really on the edge.
Before i could do anything though, Pinkie called me downstairs.
When I walked down, I saw Derpy, sitting on the couch, waiting for me. Great, I know why she's here.
"We need to talk". she stated, plain and simple.
"It"s fine. They always do that. I act strong..."
"But your weak"
Ouch. She's right. She took me in her hooves and gave me a hug. "I know how it feels. Everypony always makes fun of me for my eye. I never let them bother me.And neither should you. Please be brave. Just remember that when you need me I will always be here for you."

I was walking in the Everfree Forest, on the way back from Zecora's with a new herbal brew in my bag. I was almost out of the forest when something fell on my head. Looking at it I saw it was a bird.
Didn't know what type of bird it was. But it was hurt.
As carefully as i could, I scooped the bird up with my magic, and placed it in my bag. Then I started running to Fluttershy's house.
When I got there I ran to her front door and began pounding on it, hollering her name till she finally came to the door.
"Fluttershy! I found a hurt bird. I was on my way back from Zecora's when she fell on my head."
Fluttershy opened her door and let me in. I opened my bag with my magic and the bird was gone. There was a pile of ashes in my bag instead of a bird.
I was horrified!
But Fluttershy was giggling.
Suddenly, from the ashes came a magnificent bird. "wh-?"
"You found a phoenix. Each bird loses it's feathers when it"s time for the creature to die, burst's into flames, and then rebirth from their ashes."
She started taking care of cuts I got from running through the forest. I didn't even realize i had them till she started cleaning them. They didn't actually hurt, and when I got them I was to concerned about the bird to actually care.
As soon as she finished she hugged me and sent me home. Well, she sent me home after giving me a direct order.
First I had to return the bird.

Apple Jack and Apple Bloom walked with me to see Scootaloo. When we found her, she took us to see Fluttershy. After a few minutes in which the two spoke in private, Fluttershy left after telling us to get conformable.
When she returned, she brought somepony with her. Rainbow Dash.
"What's up Scoots? Fluttershy said you needed to see me."
"I don't need to see you. Sweets does."
Rainbow Dash looked over at me, wanting an explanation.
Apple Jack cleared her throat, " come on girls. Let's give them a minute."
Everypony went to leave the room when I stopped them, only for a second. "Fluttershy can stay. She has every right to know about this as well."
So everypony, except Fluttershy an Rainbow Dash, left the cottage.
They both sat down on Fluttershy's couch and looked at me.
At that moment I realized that, I had to repeat everything. I slowly started closing in on myself, now ashamed of what was about to come. I thought I could brave through it again, I mean I braved through it before.
Apparently they could tell I was uncomfortable because I felt a comforting arm go around my shoulders. "Hey Sweets don't worry. We aren't forcing you to tell us." Rainbow Dash said while She wrapped her hooves around me in a gentle hug. She broke the hug after a while, but kept her wing on me, which gave me some form of comfort.
I took a deep breath and told them everything. About not having friends, the bullying, and not having a father figure in my life. This makes three ponies who now know. Fluttershy was so silent, I had almost forgotten she was still in the cottage. Rainbow was silent as well, only her wing on my shoulder reminded me she was still there, by my side. When i finished they both hugged me.
Rainbow said she was going to do everything in her power to help, while Fluttershy got up to make us tea. We stayed together all day, and that night I stayed with Fluttershy, and so did Rainbow Dash. Our conversations were about everything. And by the time we were ready for bed I had placed my guards back up and had a fake smile back on my face. While Fluttershy slept on her couch that night, me and Rainbow slept in her bed. I couldn't fall asleep, and judging by the flopping of my bed mate, she couldn't either. Finally she gave up, threw her hooves in the air an shouted " It's hopeless, I can't get any sleep without my music." So to ease her, I began humming. My Chemical Romance, Mindless Self Indulgence< Fall Out Boy, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Blacklisted Me, any band I could think of. Any song I can think of. Finally she fell asleep in the middle of MCR's The Kids From Yesterday. And the sound of her gently breathing lulled me to sleep.
When I woke up she was still asleep. I went downstairs and Fluttershy was cooking breakfast. As soon as Rainbow came down, we all sat down and ate, then the two mares went about, doing what they were suppose to do. Then Rainbow walked me to school. When I got out, Apple Jack was waiting for me. She walked me to Sugar Cube Corner, where Pinkie Pie was manning the store. When we walked in, Pinkie pulled out a tray of many different types of sweets, because she knew I was always hungry after school (she didn't know why though). "Sweets For Sweets" she calls them.
Later, after I finished my homework, Rainbow Dash came over. She brought along a pony, who was in my
3rd and 6th classes. She had a red mane with black streaks, plus her coat was light red and her eyes were, rather creepily, blood red. Then Rainbow introduced us to each other and left and Pinkie Pie, after putting snacks on the table, went upstairs. It was awkward for a few minutes till I started humming Early Sunsets Over Monroeville by My Chem. After the first chord, the girl started signing along. We did the whole song together till it was completely done. Then we started talking. Her name is Demolition Heart, but everpony calls her Demo. Her cutiemark is a heart exploding and it stands for her will to fight on through all the hate in this world. Her music taste is extremely similar to mine. Plus she goes through bullying as well. But she refuses to let it affect her. And she wants other ponies to be strong as well. The nore she told me about what she wanted in the world, the more I grew to respect her. We became friends that night. My first friend in that hell of a school.
Later that week Rainbow caught up to me. "hey Sweets come with me, I wanna try something."
Without waiting for an answer, she wrapped her hooves around my waist and lifted me into the air. I yelped, but she only laughed and flew higher. She took me to her house. "I want you to test something. Put your hooves down. Your safe. I promise."
Still, I mean I'll sink straight through the cloud. She felt my reluctance, so she let go of my. I closed my eyes and waited for the fall.
It never happened.
I opened my eyes and saw I was actually standing on of the cloud. "awesome, it worked! Now I can let tank walk on the ground." She tiled her floor? Wow.
"come on Sweets, relax your safe."
As soon as she said that, I crashed. I flopped straight onto the ground and made myself comfy.
"Sweets, I can put like a blanket onto the couch so you can be comfy."
I was pretty comfortable where I was. "or, I could sleep on your floor"
"ha, want some food?"
"nah I'm good. All I've done since i got home from school is eat and talk."
"so you like Demo?"
"she's amazing!"
"yeah, I thought you two would get along well. She has the same music taste as us. How cool is that?"
I laughed. "when are we going back down?"
"when Pinkie comes to get you in her hot air balloon."
So we hung out together, talking about everything under Celestia's sun. Flying, magic, music, The Wonderbolts, reading, and a little bit about colts. Neither of us really cared about that subject so it only lasted about two minutes. Then we started talking about upcoming plans for Winter Wrap Up. I was going to be a lake scorer with Pinkie Pie. Easy enough for me. My mom took me ice skating a lot as a filly, so I can do really good on the ice. And, of course, she is a weather Pegasus. Looks like we both have our work cut out for us.
By the time Pinkie came to get me, the sun was almost set and I was tired. She loaded me into the balloon, thanked Dash, and took me home. I fell asleep right after my shower.

I was on my way home from school one day when Spike slowly started passing me. He had a huge wagon full of gems on his back.
"uh, Spike?"
He stopped and looked at me, "oh, hey Sweets."
"Wanna hand?"
"Um, yeah sure."
He got out from under the wagon and I got into the saddle. It was pretty heavy, but i can manage. "Where are you going with the wagon anyway?"
"Umm, well, I was on my way to Rarity's. I wanted to surprise her with these."
"but I thought you ate the gems?"
"I do, but for Rarity, I can defiantly go without eating them."
"oh, okay then."
We walked to Rarity's in silence after that. We were almost to Rarity's when he took the wagon back.
Walking back i realized that
A) Spike and I were both fatherless, seeing as Twilight had him since he was an egg
and B) I wished I had someone who cared about me as much as Spike cared about Rarity.
I couldn't think too much about either of these however, because somepony fell on me. I looked up and saw Pinkie Pie's hot air balloon. One of her stunts, no doubt. Then I looked at the pony who fell on me. He had a black and green mane, light green eyes, earrings, and his cutiemark was a black balloon with HE written inside it.
"Sorry!" he said, getting off of me and pulling me up.
"I would be mad, but I know how Pinkie Pie works."
"Hehe, yeah. My name is Helium Enthusiasm. Call me Enth (pronounced Nth)."

Sweets and Helium Enthusiasm
So by tally Enth has fallen on me three times.
WHAM!

"Dammit Enth."
"Sorry again." He said as he picked me up. Again.
Let me say something about Helium Enthusiasm. His special talent is sucking helium outta balloons. I know, sounds strange but I know I can't do that without having a raging headache after the first two balloons. Anyway, We have now known each other since he fell on me, two weeks ago. And I know he has a huge crush on my guardian Pinkie Pie. And while I admire his enthusiasm to try anything she wants him to do, I worry he may end up getting seriously hurt. Every time they get in the air balloon he always ends up falling out, or jumping out. And he is a unicorn, he can't fly. He ends up landing on other ponies a lot of the time. (but whats sad is they only did the hot air balloon five times, well six now, and he has fallen on me four times). I wanna give him a hand though.
"Want to know the way to Pinkie's heart?"
He perked up. "Yeah!"
"Friendship. Become her friend and show her that your willing to be her friend. Make her smile. When she has a bad day, let her know you can help her. Have her back when she needs you. Honesty. Tell her everything, even the things you never told any other pony before. Let her know you will always be there for her. Open up to her. Show her who your really are and she'll return the favor! But mainly, don't forget who you are. While she loves making new friends, she loves when her friends are themselves around her. She prefers them being who they always were, over being something she wants them to be."
"wow, how do you know that's what she wants?"
"I live with her."
"Really? Bet your mom was thrilled when you moved in with Pinks"
"She hated it."
"what changed her mind?"
"I kept coming home crying."
And I had to tell him about what happened back home. After I finished I was crying, because it hurts to remember everything that happened back in Manehatten. The memories of those ponies telling me I'm nothing special, that I was just a mistake.
After I finished talking, Enth pulled me into a hug. He hugged me till I stopped crying. Then he walked me home.
When we got there he hugged me again.
But now, he knows my smile is fake. He knows what I'm hiding. He knows what i went through to make me who I am now.
And maybe I should be relieved that somepony finally knows.
But right now all I can feel is fear.

They were bullying me again. As always.But this time I had a hand. One of PInkie's friends, Apple Jack, was walking by and she heard what they were saying. So she galloped over. "What's going on here?", she asked, "What did Sweets here ever do to you?"
One of the braver mares answered, "she was born. That's enough for us."
"Ah don't wanna hear anymore of this. She is a kindhearted, generous mare, who does't deserve to be treated this way."
While I was touched by all this, I knew it wouldn't work. But, surprisingly, they all retreated and went home.
Apple Jack turned to me then and said, "come on sweets let's go back to Sweet Apple Acres for some snacks."
So we went back to her house, where she poured us some Apple Cider and got us a plate of apple fritters. I ate most of them myself.
"My god, does Pinkie Pie ever feed you? You ate faster than Rainbow Dash flies."
As if she was listening in, Rainbow flew to the window shouted, "doubt it.' and flew off.
"Anyway...My little sister was being bullied herself. The only thing that helped her was when her friends stood up for her. Tell me, where are your friends in all this?'
"nonexistent"
"well, not anymore. APPLEBLOOM!!"
Applebloom ran down the steps when her sister hollowered her name. " yes Apple Jack?"
"Sweets here needs yer help. Any friendship is better than no friendship. Since this is sweets last year in school, she needs more help than ever. Remember being bullied for your blank flank?'
"Yes."
"Well, she's being bullied for being friendless."
Applebloom looked over at me. She didn't know I was being bullies, seeing as we went to different schools. And she never had to pass by my school on her way jome, so she never saw the bullying.
"I can help ya. My friend Scootaloo has a friend who has a friend in that school. All we have to do is get them to help."
