Chapters Chapter 1. The royal Guard.
Chapter one. The royal guard.
My life has lead to this. Princess Luna is now my worst enemy. Princess Celestia expulsed me from Equestria. Twilight Sparkle is about to kill me. And the war has almost taken half the lifes from Equestria. Now, my end is near.
“You must die, in order to restore the peace.”Twilight stands in front of me, pointing me with her horn.
“Do as you see the better.”
And then, she shots a lightning beam from her horn, which hits me in the chest, making that my life suddenly rushes through my eyes. I can see from the first day of my life.
My name is John. Or, as someponies calls me, John BlackMane. I was born in October of 212X. By then, the mankind had engaged in a war that lasted many generations, and which caused a great pain in many families. Mine was one of them. When I was five, they died in an aerial bomb attack. I was destroyed by this fact. So, at first, I tried to kill myself. But something very deep in my mind told me not to. Instead, it made me to move in the inners of a mysterious forest. Didn’t know how I end in this land, which was absolutely wonderful. It was populated only by ponies. I didn’t were too well received, even by the great Celestia herself.
However, a chain of events turn my life for better when I saved a pony from a fire in a bakery. From there on, I was known as the “pony hero” (even when I’m not a pony). In fact, I was assigned as a royal guard in the capitol city of Canterlot, under the command of the captain Shining Armor. That was when I was fifteen. Five years later, the matter of NightMare Moon happened, and my life gave a twist when I was assigned to be Princess Luna’s personal guard. At first, both of us didn’t like the idea, but for the time, we accepted.
At first, I thought that my life was going to be better from that day on… I was wrong.
It was a good and cheerful morning. I got up early to wake up Princess Luna.
“Good morning, milady.”
“Good morning.”
“What would you want for your royal breakfast?”
“We think we would like a toasted bread and apple juice.”
“Right away, milady.”
I went down stairs to make her breakfast. I liked my life then. I was more like a housekeeper than a royal guard. My life had never been so happy. Even Luna seemed happy about it. We were like brother and sister. But that morning, when I went to check mail, something bothered me.
“Here we are, John. What is that thou hold in thy hands?”
“I don’t know, milady. But it says that it’s from Celestia.”
“And what does it says?”
“Ahem, it says…”
Dear sister Luna.
I require your presence in Canterlot immediately, for us to discuss a matter of a very deep importance related to Equestria’s security. I may need your royal guard John, too. If it is possible, come to me in this day.
Your sister, Celestia.
“If she needs you, then it should be a great matter to deal with.”
“We know, John. Prepare our things, for we to be in our way to Canterlot right now.”
“As you wish. I’ll call the Pegasus royal carriage to transport you.”
Almost at the next day, we arrive to Canterlot. I start to wonder why Celestia needed Luna. Usually, Celestia can handle for herself most of the matters in Equestria. But this seems different, though. When we arrive to Canterlot tower, we are greeted by Shining Armor. Only to see him creates a reaction in me that makes me to salute him with the royal guard stance.
“Dismissed, ranger John. Princess Luna.” He bows in front of her and then points to the door. “Princess Celestia is waiting for you.”
“Thank you, captain. Thou shalt wait for me, John.”
“As you wish, princess.”
She goes inside of the room. I can give a little sight in there. Inside there was the elements of Harmony, Princess Celestia and even a zebra, which I think her name was Zecora. The door is closed and Shining Armor approaches to me.
“So, how have you been?”
“Relaxed, sir. At least until yesterday, when the letter of Princess Celestia arrived. May I ask what is happening?”
“You could, but I’m afraid that I can’t answer, because I’m as much informed than you.”
“Such a shame. Sir, now that I think about it, shouldn’t you be supposed to be with your wife?”
“Yes. But when Princess Celestia’s letter came to us, Cadence was very anxious. So, she decided that we would come to Canterlot to see what was going on.”
We talk like that for a short time. But then, Twilight Sparkle opens the door and approaches to us.
“Shining, John. Celestia ordered that you two shall come to the meeting.”
We obey. As we enter in the room, both of us notice that everypony in here has a fear in her faces that cannot be hide. When we sit at the table in the center, I manage to see in it many maps with red circles in it. It can’t be something good. Celestia takes the first word.
“Shining Armor. John BlackMane. We have you here today to have a word with you. It is because you two are the most reliable individuals I have ever met.”
“Pleased to hear that. But what is that matter you have to tell us, milady?”
Celestia looks very scared. That is very noticeable, even for somepony like her.
“A series of strange events has been happening in Phillydelphia. Someponies says that ponies in there are starting to eat meat.”
“Meat? A pony?” Shining asked, very preoccupied by the idea.
“That pretty amusing, Princess. I suppose you want us to go to investigate.”
“Yes. Shining Armor will provide a small group of his best soldiers. You, by the other hand, John, you shall go to Phillydelphia to investigate.”
“Pleased to, milady. I’ll start making the arrangements.”
“Please. Equestria needs you two.”
While I’m preparing my things for the trip, I stop for a second to wonder. Ponies are eating meat? What is going on? A knock in my door shakes me. It’s Luna.
“John. May we have a word with you?”
“It is I who wave to ask for that, milady. You may speak with me freely.”
“Look, our sources tell us that among with the meat-eating ponies, there has been also a few murders.”
“Murders? Then, with more reasons I should go to investigate.”
“John. I’m trying to warn you. There’s something going on in that place that even my sister hasn’t seen before.”
“Relax, milady. I’ll be careful.”
Luna glares at me. I can't help but to turn around and avoid to see her to the eyes.
“… You’ll go even if I tell you not to. Do you not?”
“Yes. I will.”
“Then, I shall give you something to protect you.”
She approaches to me. And then, gives me a kiss in my cheek. Usually almost nothing takes me low-guarded. But this, this is the only thing that has made it so far.
“That is encouraging milady, but I don’t think that will protect me of something.”
“I know…”
She then turns around and exit the room. I finish of preparing my things. But then, something rushes to my mind. Why was Luna so worried? Then, I remember that we didn’t enter in the first part of the meeting. But when we enter, everypony seemed to be very scared. Did they already know something that we don’t? And if that’s the case, then, why not to tell us?
Shining Armor enters to my room. Before I can even stand, he dismiss me.
“I’m ready, sir.”
“Yes, that’s what I can see. However, one thing is missing. Princess Luna told me to give you this.”
He levitates to me a large object. When I draw it, it’s a sword. The blade is of a dark blue color, and it emits little blue sparks.
“What is this sword?”
“It’s called the ‘Blue Moon’. It was made originally for Princess Luna herself. But now, she asks it to be yours.”
So this is what Luna meant by “something to protect me”. The sword is so light that I can feel it almost like if it was my own arm.
“Your transport waits for you. I have selected a group of three ponies to go with you. First one, it’s an earth pony, named FlashHooves. He’s trained to be fast. He’ll be your recognizement soldier. The second one. His name is StrongHorn. He might not be too strong, but his magic has no comparison. The third one is a Pegasus. Originally in the Wonderbolts, SwiftWings was the leader, being the strongest and fastest in the team. He left when Princess Celestia requested his help.”
As he speaks, we were leading to the main street. When we get there, I can see why the description fits them. Flash Hooves is small, and he has a light yellow fur, blue mane and wide green eyes, but seems to have incredibly strong hooves. Strong Horn is thin and almost pathetic. His fur is like a light green color, giving him the look of being sick. But, if Shining Armor trusts him, then I will. Swift Wings would make Rainbow Dash to get jealous with his long wings and strong hooves. I realize why he was the Wonderbolts’s leader. He won’t even smile for a little.
“So this is my team, uh?”
“Yes, this is it.”
Suddenly, a Pegasus lands behind us.
“I have a message from Princess Luna.”
“Then speak, messenger.”
“In order to ensure Equestria’s security, I personally, will go with you in this mission. My personal guard, John blackMane shall come with me.”
What? Now she wants to come with me? What is passing through her mind? But now that I think about it, my doubts were right: They are hiding something from us.
“Right. Last minute change. We’ll have to borrow a larger carriage.”
“Sir, may I talk with you?”
“Of course.”
I lead him to a dark alley. Almost nopony is at sight.
“Sir, I think that they are hiding something from us.”
“What do you mean?”
“Just think about it for a second.”
Then, I explain him my reasons to suspect from Celestia. When I finish, he seems quite hesitant. However, turns to me with a serious gaze.
“Look, our work is not to hesitate. It’s only to accomplish orders. Understood?”
“Yes, sir. Sorry, sir.”
“Fine. Here comes Princess Luna. Attention!”
When Luna lands, I can see her in an armor almost resembling to NightMare Moon’s.
“Everything is ready, captain?”
“Yes milady. Your carriage is waiting for you.”
“Thank you, Shining Armor. John, you shall go with the others. I will lead.”
“As you wish, milady.”
Then, we start our journey to Phillydelphia. The journey is long, but it seems longer of what it seems while I’m distracted in my own thoughts. Nopony speaks in the journey. It is Strong Horn who speaks first.
“So, anypony knows where we are heading and why?”
“We’re going to Phillydelphia, but the why, I don’t know.” Swift Wings answer heavily serious.
“What do you think, captain?” Flash Hooves turns to me.
“I think…”
I don’t think that it is a good idea to tell them about my suspects on the royal sisters. So I tell them the only truth that I know.
“…I think that we’ll see when we get there.”
“Yeah, I suppose you’re right captain.” Flash Hooves answer.
About five hours later, we reach Phillydelphia. However, the sight is amusing: the city is almost desserted, as if nopony has ever lived in here for decades. We start to inspect the city.
“Strong, make a spell that let us to intercommunicate.”
“Sure thing, boss.”
After a flash of green light, know we can communicate by telepathy. I ask Strong to scan the area for any life form.
“No, there isn’t any kind of life form in here.”
I can’t afford to think about it, but the only thought that I have gets out of my mind.
“Scan for movement patrons.”
“But sir, if there isn’t any-“
“Do as I say!”
“… Right away sir.” He cast a spell, and then, she startles. ”Wait, I’m detecting movements. Five blocks east, two blocks south.”
“Right, Swift Wings, you can move faster than us. Head there, while we go. Report immediately.”
“Yes sir.”
He lefts with a speed that now I’m convinced that he can make Rainbow to be jealous. We start to walk. Strong is always checking with his magic. When we are almost at two blocks, Swift reports.
“Swift Wings here, captain.”
“Swift, what is going on? You see something?”
“No. Whatever it was, it’s gone. I’ll head towards you.”
“Sure thing. See you here.”
“Swift out.”
“Strong, didn’t you say there was movement in there?”
“Yeah, but or something is corrupting the signals or they just simply move.”
“Whatever. Here comes Swift Wings.”
“Sir, I saw somepony in the next street. They’re heading this way. However, their walk rhythm didn’t seem normal.”
“We should check. On your guard. We don’t know what these ponies want from us.”
Turning the corner, we find some weird looking pony. As Swift said, his walk rhythm is not normal. Also, he’s shaved to his skin, which looks kind of necrotized.
“Sir, we ask you nicely to stop and get in your fore hooves.”
“Ghuuuu?”
“Sir, we don’t want to hurt you. Obey and surrender.”
“Ghaaak!”
“Damn, Strong, shot him down!”
Strong Horn fire a beam, which hits the weird-looking pony, causing him to fall to the ground.
“Oh, by Celestia. John, what have thou done?”
“Relax, Princess. It’s a non-lethal attack. He’s just paralyzed. Right Strong?”
“Yes sir.”
“Flash, check on him.”
After checking on him, Flash discovers many weird facts, like the one that his skin is deeply necrotized, his jaw is dislocated, and that he doesn’t have any pulse.
“He doesn’t have any pulse?”
“No, but still… he’s alive.”
“What, he’s some kind of… zombie pony?”
In fact, now all seems quite accurate. A zombie invasion in Phillydelphia. Celestia and the others were terrified by the idea. But to not to make any wrong conclusion, they needed to investigate. They DID knew. And now, the only one that could answer that is here with us.
“Ask Princess Luna. She knows it.”
Chapter two. The outbreak.
Chapter two. The outbreak.
“What, is he some kind of… pony zombie?” Strong Horn asks, with a concerning tone.
“Ask Princess Luna. She knows it.” I turn to see Luna to her eyes.
Luna knows what I’m speaking of. The zombie outbreak seems like a logical reason for the past events. However, Luna’s answer shakes me up.
“We didn’t know anything about this.”
“Captain, what are you talking about?”
“All we know is that something weird was happening in here. But what was it, or the origins, we didn’t. Until this moment, of course.”
Swift stands on front of us. He turns angrily to me.
“Wait. You’re telling us that we were sent here only to face an unknown enemy? Only the five of us?”
“Our mission is to be recognizement.” I turn to Luna, remembering all the past events, even feeling somewhat… betrayed. And Luna can see it. “And I think that we’ve seen enough. Prepare yourselves, we’re going back to Canterlot.”
“Ghuuuu…”
“What the-“
The zombie was starting to move, getting clumsily into his hooves.
“Strong, didn’t you cast the long-period spell?”
“Yes, I did!”
“Then, why is he moving again after only five minutes?”
“I don’t know. But he’s moving again.”
“On guard!”
The zombie stands and after a look to his surroundings, he starts to walk toward us.
“What are we going to do?”
“I don’t know… just… wait.”
After some tense moments, the zombie reaches us. But, instead of trying to attack us, he just sees upon us. Even, he even takes the time to smell us. Then, he turns around and starts to walk. We can barely believe what just happened before us. Flash is the first one to react.
“… What the hay was that?”
“He was smelling us…”
“But why he didn’t even attack us? We were right in front of him.”
“He must have his reasons.”
“But what reasons?”
“Captain?”
“Just look. We’re in the middle of the city, and Swift said that he saw a lot of them in the other block, didn’t you?”
“Yes, but, they weren’t advancing here.”
“Does that matter? Just look. We’re in the middle of a trap.”
“A trap, sir?”
“Yes. They are surrounding us. Strong, confirm.”
When his horn starts to glow bright green, we start to see a massive group of them coming toward us. Strong Horn was in his full concentration when he realizes what is happening.
“umm… Sir? We are surrounded.”
“I can see that, Strong.”
“May we prepare to fight?”
“Stand by to attack.”
Just when the horde of zombies surrounds us in a circle at five meters from us, they turn around and retreat. Once again, we’re speechless. We try to manage to see what happened.
“Excuse me for the question, but… weren’t they going to eat us?”
“I was starting to think about it.”
“But then again, why didn’t they do it?”
“I don’t know. Strong search movements patrons.”
His horn glows again and he catches some signals. “Some of them are retreating. However, a small group is coming toward us. His movement patron seems like they don’t are zombies.”
“Survivors?”
“Where are they coming from?”
“From the ceilings of the buildings.”
Suddenly, I can only see a rain of bullets coming toward us.
“Get cover!”
Some bullets almost hit us before we could find a good spot to hide.
“Crap, what were those?!”
In my time in here, I learned that ponies don’t use fire guns, like us, humans. Then, an idea rushes to my mind, just when a bullet passes buzzing near my ear. Humans. There are others in here.
“Stop shooting! I’m a human, too!”
“Sir? What are you saying?”
The rain of bullets stops and then, I can hear another voice coming from the top of the building.
“Another human? Then, show yourself!”
I turn to Luna and the others. “Stay here and hide. I’ll check it out.”
I discover myself. I can see at least five of them in the building. They talk something between them, which I can’t hear. Then, they shout me.
“Sorry for that! We thought you were one of those… ponies!”
Ponies, they said? That can only mean one thing. If they find Luna and the others, they will be killed.
“Not a big deal, dude! Say, can you help me?! I’m kind of lost in here!”
“Sure, stay there. We’ll send somebody.”
A rope is thrown from the ceiling and a soldier comes down.
“Hey, dude. Where did you come from?”
“Ummm… not quite sure, ya know? When I awoke, I was in here.”
“Oh, another one lost. Say, do you want to join us?”
Joining them. Tempting. If I join them, then I could drag out information about these guys in here and, obviously, from the zombie outbreak.
“Sure thing, bro. I suppose that’s better than hanging around whit these zombies roaming around.”
“The zombies? Meh, don’t worry about them. I’ll explain to you later.”
“John, are you nuts? What are you doing?”
Luna was communicating telepathically, which gives me an opportunity of telling her my plans.
“Don’t worry milady. I have a feeling that these guys have something to do with the zombie outbreak. I’ll find it out, but I need a source. That’s where these dudes come in.”
“What do WE do then?”
“Hide in that building. I’ll meet with you at midnight in here.”
When I snap out of telepathy, we’re already near the building.
“You ready, dude?”
“Uh? Oh, yeah. Let’s go.”
We climb in the building with the rope. Once in the top, I can see at least twenty more of them.
“Yo, dudes! Here’s another civilian lost!”
“Another one? How much are out there?”
“Don’t know. Maybe thousands. Do you remember how many were aboard in the ship?”
“Around 6 thousands. Who knows?”
“Were did your escape pod landed?”
“Umm… out of the city.”
“Well, you’re alright now.”
“Umm… Really? ‘Cause with those zombies roaming in the city…”
Another soldier who comes out of the stairs to roof starts to laugh.
“Ha! The zombies? Those things won’t hurt you!”
“What do you mean?”
“The zombies have some kind of nanobots in their blood that makes them our slaves.”
“Yeah, whatever you ask, they do it for you.”
“Even if I ask them to drop from a building?”
“A-NY-THING” Another soldier empathize these words.
“Hey, that’s great. So… what do we do now?”
“We head to the camp, and we rest. That’s until they find our preys.”
“Preys? What preys?”
“Some ponies where running along in this area. One of them looked different, though. A dark one with blue mane, a horn, and wings. Hadn’t you seen them around?”
“Ummm… no. I don’t think so.”
“Damn! I was thinking that we could find them at once!”
Damn it. They were actually searching for Luna and my team. If I didn’t do something, then they would surely be found.
“Hey, relax dude! Yo, do you want to come to the camp?”
“Sure thing. Thanks, bro.”
After twenty minutes of walking, we reach the center of the city, where the camp is established to form a circle. Then, I start to wonder how they got in here. There’s only one idea that could work. I step in a stone in the road. The trip works, because I hit against some hard object. My plan works: My head is bleeding, everybody is running toward me to attend. One simple question is enough.
“Where am I? Who am I?”
Everybody thinks that I have amnesia. They rush with me to the medical room, installed inside of an apartment building. Moments later, I’m in a medical bed, with my head still bleeding. I close my eyes to get a good sleep (you know, because I’m tired), and I sleep for about four hours, deducting by the clock in the wall. A man with a white uniform appears in my room.
“Hey, how it’s going?”
“Uh? Oh, my head. It hurts.”
“Well it’s obvious. You tripped with a stone and hit against a metal bench in the park.”
Obviously, I remember every part of it. However, my plan dictates me to pretend that I’m amnesic.
“I-I’m afraid that I cannot remember… speaking of which, who am I?”
“Well, we don’t know. You just got identified by the name of John.”
“John… that sounds familiar.” I realize that my clothes had my name written on it.
“Yeah. Well, I need to see other patients. Keep on your bed. You must rest.”
“Thanks… mister?”
“Jackson. Doctor Jackson, if you please.”
“Alright. Thank you, Doctor Jackson.”
“See you later.”
After a few minutes, the same soldier that brought me here appears in the room.
“Yo, man. You okay? That was some hard-hitting.”
“Umm… Do I know you?”
“Well, technically speaking, yes. I brought you here.”
“He, well… you’ll have to excuse me, ‘cause… I can’t remember a thing.”
“Oh, yeah, I forgot. My name is Albert. Albert Friscon.”
“John. John who-knows-what. I can’t remember.”
“Well, John who-knows-what… glad to meet you. Hope you get better.”
“Thanks. Nice to meet you, too.”
I have to remind me that these guys are the enemy. Too bad they are the bad guys. There seems to be good dudes over here. A nurse comes to attends me. I use this occasion and bombard her with a lot of questions. Soon, I know every detail of my former home.
Looks like Equestria is in another planet. The Earth itself is gone. The war (the one which started years before I was born) reduced the planet to a lifeless orb. The water was overwhelmed by pollutants, the plants died by the extreme heat generated by the pollutants in the atmosphere. And there seemed to be only one option: Search for another “home”. And here is it. The new Earth.
Only to think about what they could do to this planet, I realize the little time I have left. The outside cities in the region have been already targeted. I fall asleep again (only pretending to) to be aware for midnight. When the night falls, then I get up from my bed, draw my clothes and get out of my room.
I’m aware of my sword, which is still hidden in the interiors of my jacket. I start to go to the stairs, when I trip over someone.
“Hey! What the fuck?! Oh, it’s you.”
When I lift my sight to see who it is, I realize that it’s the same Albert I met earlier. This puts me in a very rough situation. What am I going to tell him?
“Oh, hey Albert.”
“Hey… John, was it?”
“Yep, that’s me.”
“So… what are you doing out here?”
“Umm… this may sound ridiculous but… where is the bathroom?”
“Hehe, down the corridor. Second door to the right.”
“Thanks, dude.”
When I reach the bathroom, I start to think. I have less an hour to reach Luna and the others, and less of 48 hours to warn Celestia about the imminent attack. But there’s no way to get out of here without Albert noticing me. So there’s only one option: kill Albert.
When I exit the bathroom, I can barely see Albert still watching the stairs. I start to approach to him, feeling the urges to draw the sword and finish this once.
“Hey, finished already?”
“Yeah. Thank you, again.”
“No problem, dude. Good night.”
Then, I draw my sword. With a fast movement, I stick it in his chest, causing him to look at me with a wondering expression. I can only feel a warm and dark fluid running through the sword and falling onto my hands. Then, with another move, I drag out the sword, now targeting his head.
“Good night.”
I slice his neck, causing his head to fall to the floor, still with the same look in his eyes. I can barely stand the sight, so I pick up his gun and return to my fleeing of the hospital. Once that I reach the outside, automatically my mind starts to remember the route we followed to get here.
It doesn’t take me more that forty minutes to reach the same building where I left Luna and the others. Here is when I remember how I killed Albert, realizing that it was my first killing in my whole life. It crushes me the fact of how it felt to kill somebody.
“John… can you hear me?”
Luna’s telepathy brings me back to reality. What should I be doing in these moments comes to my mind.
“Milady, where are you?”
“Inside of the building. Fifth floor.”
“On my way.”
I bring myself up and go running the stairs to reach the fifth floor. When I get into the room where they were, I can barely stand up. The feeling of seeing them alive is pure ecstasy.
“Milady… I have come back.”
She runs toward me and place her head in my shoulder and a hoof in my back.
“It’s good to see you’re okay.”
The only thing I can do is to give her back her own embrace. Obviously, she notices the blood that covers some parts of my clothes.
“Oh, by Celestia. Are you okay?”
“Uh? Oh, yeah. I’m okay. It’s not my blood.”
I can see behind Luna’s expression the horror of thinking that I could kill someone. She’s about to ask when Swift goes ahead.
“So how was it, sir? Did you find something useful?”
“I think so. But I fear that we may be too late.”
“Why?”
“Maybe for the zombie outbreak?”
“No. Princess Luna was right. These humans are the responsible for the zombie outbreak. They are controlling them.”
“Why is that? Do they plan on having a five star hotel?”
“Maybe not, Flash Hooves. Maybe they are planning to kill them once they finish their purpose.”
“And what is their purpose?”
Everypony turns to me. I do know the answer, but still is like if I didn’t wanted to know it. But it must be known by the others.
“Conquer Equestria.”
Chapter three. Confessions
As I wake up in my sleeping bag, I notice the sun hitting in my face. It was about 9 o’clock. The crew and I managed to find an apartment to stay in until things cool down. Remembering the past events, I shake under the mask of seriousness in my face…
I killed one of my own race. And I didn’t felt guilty by it. In fact, I couldn’t manage to wait to find another thing to kill.
“John?”
Luna’s voice startles me, causing me to get up from my sleeping. She knows about what I did. Like me, she can’t manage to think that I could do those things. She gets closer and sits in the floor, almost at my side.
“… Who was it?”
After a long time, I can barely articulate some words.
“… A human. He was watching the stairs going out of the building.”
Luna’s face now was of real horror; just of thinking I could do something like that.
“… I can’t believe it.”
“…Neither can I.”
The two of us remain in an uncomfortable silence, both of us looking at the opposite side of each other. I turn my head only for a little to see her hoof. But then, I swung it back to the window in embarrassment. How could I turn to see her when I made such a horrible thing?
Minutes passes, thinking in how she will react. I hope everything to happen, from a kick that would kill me, to having her to kill me with my own sword.
I can feel something wet running through my face, originated from my eye. I can feel a deep sorrow in my inners. Suddenly, I can feel a pair of warm lips touching my cheek. When I turn around, I see Luna almost touching my face. She is red-blushed.
I had only seen her like that in one occasion. That was a night that I won’t forget in my life.
It was a beautiful night. Luna had just lifted the moon in the sky. We were on her summer house. She was on the balcony, just outside her bedroom. I was just in the edge of her door. Looking at how she was doing her magic overwhelmed me. I should have been far too notorious, because she turned to me, and blushed. I couldn’t help it, because her smile, combined with the moon’s light, was too beautiful.
“Do you want to go in a walk?”
Almost like reading my mind, she figured out what I wanted to do.
“That sounds very good, milady.”
We went to the core of Canterlot, in which was rumored to have the best places to have fun. She disguised herself as a younger version of herself, without her wings.
Our first stop was the Canterlot green gardens. After we walk around for a few minutes, we started to feel the empty in our stomachs. So our next stop was “le petite spoon”. That was when the things started to go for bad. After finishing our dinners, we were offered with tons of finishing drinks. Some of them contained alcohol.
I didn’t was aware of Luna’s… intolerance to alcohol. Only a slip to her drink, and minutes later, she was drunk, just as if she had taken dozens of beers.
She was unable of even stand up. So, I had to carry her in my back while we go back to her house. Once there, I put her in her bed, as usually. When I tried to put her blankets over her, her hooves moved toward my neck and grabbed me in a powerful but warm hug. She was looking down to me. I knew she was drunk, so I understood why she was doing this… or that’s what I thought.
“Please… don’t go…”
She told me, still hugging me and now, crying.
“Why would I, milady?”
“Please… I’m afraid of the darkness…”
Surely, the irony of the event couldn’t be bigger. The mare of the night was afraid of the darkness. Another person (or pony) could have just laugh at it. However, I didn’t. I just stare to her turquoise eyes for a long time, until her cry was no more. She was just looking at me, and I was looking at her. The minutes passed. I don’t know how much time it passed until her lips touch mine. The warm of her kiss was so strong… it drove me out.
Soon, I could feel her privates getting wet, as the result of the heat in the kiss. Whit a total security, she pulled out of the kiss, and look down to me, seeing her marehood totally wet. The feeling of that made me to start to arouse.
“You have served me well. But now, it’s my turn to serve you, master.”
Following the game, I started to strip in front of her.
“I hope you do as well as me.”
Still thinking in what I was doing, the thought of having sex with her flooded my mind. Would it be okay to have sex with her? How will she take this in the future? But above anything else, what I’m I doing?
With millions of doubts, I asked to myself: “Are you ready to take the responsibilities of your doing?” I turned toward Luna, looking at me in a seductively way. I just walked to her, and when I sat on her bed, I don’t know what took over me, but I start to tease her pussy with my finger.
“Ohh… that feels good. Ah!”
I could feel like my finger was going to melt down in there. Every moaning she let out… it was making me to arouse more and more at every moment. The excitement was so powerful… it took me over.
I took out my finger and prepared to penetrate her. I pointed my hard-erect dick and she could see it.
“Will it hurt?”
“… I hope not.”
Then, with a powerful thrust I went deep inside of her. She just screamed with a mix of pleasure and pain. But I wouldn’t stop at there, so I took it out and went back again. That was it ,back and forth, back and forth. She was screaming in pure ecstasy.
“Ahhh! John, it’s too big! It’s driving me mad!”
“I know! You’re the same!”
I could feel how tight she was, still in urges to be fucked. Then, a new sensation took over.
“P-p-princess… I’m…going to…”
With a powerful and final stroke, I blew my seed in her pussy. Then, with a deep feeling of tiredness I fall upon Luna’s chest. Both panting heavily, both of us stayed in her bed.
“John… I love you.”
That was the last thing I heard before passing out. But still, she was in my dreams. She was in everywhere I turned around. Her last words remained in my mind, still sounding as if she was there.
And now, she was like that again. Looking at me with the same look of passion and love she had in that occasion. I think I blush too, only to remember that occasion. Luna is still looking at me, when a single phrase comes out of her.
“You’re my friend. I won’t let a friend fall into sadness. Not If I can avoid it.”
She just referred to me as her friend, which makes me fall into a mix of sadness and happiness. I can’t do anything else but smile, still with her words in my head.
“Thank you, Princess Luna.”
She just smiles at my answer and she gives hers.
“Seriously, when are you going to stop calling me milady, princess, and all that stuff?”
“… Whenever you ask me to.”
“…Then, I tell you: Stop calling me like that. Just refer to me as Luna.”
“Alright, LUNA. I will tell you like that from now on.”
However, my comment only makes her to start approaching to me, with the same look in her eyes from that time. I, too, start to approach to her face.
“Sir! You have to-! “
The door crashes with a loud noise and both, Luna and I, make a jump of the startling from Flash Hooves. I get up quickly, pretending nothing to be happening.
“Umm… I could give you your space… but…”
“Whatever, Flash. What’s happening?”
“Oh! Yeah! You have to come to the roof. Something very peculiar is happening in the streets.”
“Ok, let’s go.”
Just when I get up, Luna does the same. I can’t avoid seeing the sorrow in her eyes. Our special moment together was destroyed and shattered.
While climbing the stairs in direction to the roof, my mind went back to the next day after the… “Event” between Luna and me.
I awoke first in order to do the same thing, like her breakfast, her clothing, etc. When she came down stairs, I already had everything ready. I greet her with a “good morning, milady”.
“Nhgh. Good morning.”
“Something’s wrong, milady?”
“It’s just… I have this terrible headache. Did I hit against something last night?”
My eyes went wide open when I hear that. Did she forget about anything of last night?
“Actually, I think you hit to the ground after you fall of your chair.”
“Oh. I fell of my chair. At the restaurant?”
“Well… yes. You tell me you don’t remember anything of last night?”
Luna just looked at me with a questioning look on her face. She just took a hoof to her forehead, trying to remember.
“Nhgh! I can’t accurately say. All I can remember is you bringing me home. But anything after that.”
I couldn’t believe it! She just forgot our special moment! It was like if nothing had passed between us! I just contained a few tears and served her like I usually did.
…
We never talked again of that night.
When we got to the roof, Swift Wings and Strong Horn were already in here. They were watching the street.
“Hey, you guys! Anything has changed?”
“Everything, actually.”
“What’s happening?”
“Well… I… I think you better see it for yourself, sir.”
When I approached to the edge of the building, I look down, only to see a massive horde of pony zombies roaming next to our building. Somehow, they managed to find us.
“How did they-? “
“You told us about some microchip stuff in their blood, didn’t you?”
“Yes. But what does it have to do with this?”
“As I understand it, those microchips incrust unto their brains, and they can obey any order you give to them. Am I right?”
“I suppose so.”
“Wow, wait. You’re telling me that those zombies, under the leadership of somebody… They can be an army?”
Those words took me to another level.
“Shit… I hadn’t thought about that.”
“What?”
“A very well organized zombie attack… They could take Canterlot within a few days.”
Everypony realized the truth. I was right. The attack could start at any moment. They were resistant to almost every spell casted on them. Not even Princess Celestia would be able to stop them if they reached Canterlot.
“Have you contacted Shining Armor?”
Strong lowered his sight to the ground before giving his answer.
“I have tried, sir. But there’s something jamming up the signal. I can’t contact him until it is gone.”
“Any idea of what could it be?”
“No, sir.”
If we wait here, then the attack could be launched at any moment. But taking action would be suicide. There was no way of asking reinforcements. We were on our own.
I turned around and went down stairs. In my room, I pick up my sword and a small amount of food.
“Sir? What are you doing?”
“You try to get out of the city. The next target is Ponyville. Warn them about what is happening in here. Then, go to Canterlot and tell Celestia about everything we learnt in here.”
Given the orders, I turned to exit the room. But a dark blue wing closed my path.
“Don’t even try to think about it, captain.”
Luna stood in there, with a serious look in her face. I knew she was serious about this.
“I’m not asking you. That’s an order.”
“We are Princess Luna, Mare of the night. We will not be taking any orders from thy. Whatever thou are trying, we shall go with thou.”
I knew that I would have to accept her aid. I’d rather have her to go than having her in danger of death. But then, Strong step ahead.
“I’m going, too.”
“Strong? No, you’re not coming.”
“As Princess said, I’m not under your command. I obey the captain Shining Armor.”
“Me too.” Flash stood in front of us.
“So do I.” Swift came around with his seriousness.
Seeing upon them, I realized that they were the only ponies I trusted in all Equestria. When Celestia told me about the elements of Harmony, I didn’t thought it would be truth. However, this scene made me to realize how powerful friendship was.
“All right, you’re coming too.”
“What are we going to do, sir?”
“If those things reach Canterlot, they’ll devour the whole city in a few days. But if we let these humans alive, there’ll be the risk of having another zombie outbreak.”
“Soo… the options are?”
“We have to find a way to destroy the zombies along with the humans.”
“But, how? They’re under human’s orders.”
Then, I remember a battle, back away in my former home. There were two powerful countries fighting against a smaller one. The smaller one made the smart move of changing the messages between the bigger countries, sending them into a war against each other.
At the end, the two countries were ravaged by the war between both of them. The smaller one used this chance and wipe out what was left of these two.
“Divide and you’ll conquer.”
“What do you mean?”
“We have to make the zombies to oppose humans, so they fight each other and both armies get decimated. Then, we’ll have a chance to take down the remnants of them.”
“How are we going to do that?”
“Any automatic stuff must have a controller or something like, don’t you think?”
“You don’t mean about walking into the Humans camp, do you?”
“Do you see any other options?”
The crew just remained silent while thinking in my advice. First one, we’d have to infiltrate into Humans camp. And second one, we’d have to find the control device that controlled the zombies. Once done this move, it would break the hell out in Phillydelphia. We’d have to escape the living hell and tell Shining Armor to destroy the city in order to destroy all the risks.
We would have only one chance before they started the movements: Today, at the night.
The one and only chance to save Equestria.
...
And all the weight of this mission was on my shoulders.
Chapter four. The last day of you life.
Chapter four. The last night of your life.
Almost knowing what was going to happen, the crew and I decided to use this day at its maximum, probably for the reason that we would be dead the next day.
Thinking on that, we set out on the city and found a commercial center. Fortunately for us, the alarm was disabled; there were no zombies in here, lots of junk food to enjoy ourselves, and all that stuff.
It was difficult for us to make Luna agreed to eat this kind of food, due the fact she had only tasted or Canterlot’s royal feasts or my cooked food. But, at the end, she accepted. Now, I wish she would never accept to eat it, because she ate a lot of junk food. Walking around, we found a store with all kind of clothing for colts and mares. I could only watch at how they were having fun, disguising themselves like Shining Armor, Princess Celestia, Twilight Sparkle and other ponies that I didn’t know. I would like to think they were as scared as me. But, for the meantime, it might be the last day in our short lives. Disguising ourselves, playing a game resembling to twister, watching a movie in the theater… that’s how we passed it. It was fun, and even Swift Wings made a smile in this day.
At last, the sunset was on the horizon. Six hours later, we should be infiltrating the human’s camp and blowing up their zombie mind controller, unleashing a wave of destruction between humans and zombies. At hands of humans or zombies, at least one of us would die in this mission.
I stopped to think about it for a second or two…
…
My friends were about to die… and, somehow, it was my fault… that fault would be upon me by all my life.
We set out a fire in a section of camping in the mall and started to burn marshmallows. None of us talked in that while, until I spoke to them.
“If you want to quit, I don’t blame you.”
Everypony lift their eyes to me, with a surprise expression on their faces.
“What do you mean, sir?”
I knew they already know what I meant by saying that, but a deep feeling of sorrow made me to confess right now.
“None of us want to die. I don’t want to die, but I have to do something. I prefer to give my own life than seeing others die by me doing nothing. So I’m asking you to consider it.”
Hearing my words, the others started to think about it deeply enough. A quarter of the sun was already hidden behind the mountains.
“I’ll go.”
Flash stood and put his hoof in his forehead, saluting me. Swift and Strong made the same. Luna looked anxious about it, but finally, she said something.
“No one ever leaves thy friends. Even with my dead, I will defend Canterlot.”
Looking toward them, I realized what Luna said was true. They have never abandoned me. They were my friends, my only friends. The sun was red and half-hidden behind the mountains.
“Then, if all of us are going, then we should be having a good nap. I doubt we will sleep this night.”
Flash and Swift eyes went green and absentminded.
“Good… night… sir…”
After they went to their tents to sleep, Strong was already sneaking inside of his tent.
“Strong, you’ll be reported for hypnotizing you comrades.”
Strong froze at the entrance of his tent. He was discovered by me.
“Well… yeah, sure. I just thought you two would want to spend some time alone. Judging by what Flash told us what he saw this morning.”
Of course, Flash saw Luna and me almost kissing. He knew he was interrupting something. At first, I felt kind of angry, but after then, I felt like a huge weigh had been taken out of me. Then, with a touch of joy and sarcasm, I give him a response.
“Yeah, definitely you’ll be reported.”
Strong stood there, thinking about that. After a few minutes, he just laughs.
“All right. Good night, sir.”
I turn to look Luna, who was already deep blushed with Strong’s comment. However, she managed to do a little smile.
“Looks like we have a relationship, don’t we?”
Relationship… I never figured that word would be used in me by a pony. Not even with one of the royal sisters.
However, she just used that word to describe our status. It had changed first from guard to friend, later it changed from friend to boyfriend.
“That’s how it looks.”
Luna lowers her sight. She starts to consider something.
“So… you could say this is… a date?”
Seeing upon the place where we are, I can’t avoid to laugh at Luna’s thought.
“Well… I wouldn’t considerate THIS as a date.”
“Then, what is it?”
Thinking in what happened the last day, I lowered my head to answer.
“I suppose this is a hard situation.”
Luna’s face went down, too. All this situation of zombies, the humans, the invasion… it was certainly difficult to think we could be somewhat happy in these times.
However, the idea of a date did sounded very tempting. I had never had one before. So, I thought to myself: “Who cares? We’re probably going to be dead tomorrow morning. There might not be another chance.”
“However, I think we can have a date, actually.”
Luna’s eyes went wide open and her smile was bigger than before with the idea.
“We can? How?”
“This way. Follow me.”
I took her to a restaurant I saw while we were having fun. And I, being something like her personal chef, wanted to cook something petit for her. It took some time to prepare it, but the dinner was ready in a few minutes. For her, it was a real petit dinner. Mine was simple, though.
But the idea was set. While seeing her to eat her food and enjoying it, a big feeling of happiness came upon me. Instead of smiling or something like that, I could feel a tear running down my face. Luna saw this and stopped of eating.
“John… something is wrong?”
Now, I can really feel the tear falling through my face, so I give my attention to Luna’s observation. I was crying.
“Hm? Oh, no. It’s nothing… but…”
“But… what?”
I stop to think about it for a second. My mind went again to that night, when she confessed to me.
“It’s nothing… but… I…”
Nothing was going out of my mouth. I was so nervous with the idea of telling her if that night was real or not.
“Luna, I have to tell you something”
Luna’s mane covers her face while she looks down.
“Really? Well… I think… I also have something to tell you…”
So, she had something to say. Mine could wait a moments.
“Is that so? Well, you start.”
Luna lift from her seat and went to the window. She just lowered her sight when I came to her side.
“I think I have not been totally honest to you.”
I turned to her, wondering why she told me that. What was that she hadn’t told me before?
“Do you remember a couple months ago, when I got drunk with that apple cider?”
Was she really speaking of the same night I had been remembering the last days?
“The day after that, I told you I didn’t remember a thing… But I was lying. I remembered anything that happened that night. But I didn’t think it should be something important… until I thought about what I said to you…”
She stop for a second, containing her cry.
“I said… that I love you. Didn’t I?”
Yeah, she told me that in that night. Then, I turn to look the glass, looking at my reflected me. I start to consider me a really stupid idiot. All these days, thinking she was too drunk to reflect upon her words on that night.
“Y-y-yes. You told me that.”
I stop to think about what I was going to say her, realizing I forgot about it. But when the words “I love you” makes eco within my mind, I remember about what I was going to ask her.
“And then… were you serious about that?”
I can feel her lips giving me a smirk in my cheek. Turning to her, she’s again with that cute face, seductively smiling to me.
“… I was serious then… and I’m still.”
I blush, when both of her hooves moves toward my neck, giving me a warm hug. She lifts her head and makes her lips to contact mine. It’s so powerful the kiss that I have to contain my desires from burst out of me.
She stops the kiss to get some air. Panting, she gets to the floor, and turns heads up, revealing her privates to me. I look to her, realizing what she wanted me to do.
I lean forward to be on the top, facing her while preparing to penetrate her.
“This reminds me of certain situation we’ve been before, Luna.”
“Yes, me too. Do you remember what comes next?”
I remember that night, when after a deep kiss, she let me to have sex with her.
“Yeah. You ready?”
“Never so ready like this.”
I turn to her marehood, wet already from the desires within her. I free my dick from his prison within my pants and prepare to go deep inside her.
I insert only the tip, making her to shiver from the feeling. Before and after me, I could feel she had no one inside her before. Then, I remember that I took her virginity, making me the only one on touching her like that in thousands of years.
I start to go slowly deeper, trying to feel all of her inners in my way. As me, she can feel all of her being penetrated. She let out a moan when I am half way inside.
“You like that, don’t you?”
“Yes! Please! Don’t make me wait any longer!”
Hearing that, I go what’s left inside of her. I can feel in the last part her clitoris, touching the head of my dick. Then, I can feel how tight she is. She let out a moan when I take out my dick and prepare to go really deep. I go inside of her with such velocity that she can’t avoid screaming in ecstasy, feeling her insides being drilled like that drove her mad.
“Ah! Please! More and more! Please!”
I go inside of her who-knows how many times so deeply that when I start to feel it coming, I can’t avoid but to tell Luna.
“Luna! I think I’m about-!”
Then, with a final thrust, I shot my seed deeply on her marehood, causing her to climax, too.
Both panting, we stumble upon the floor, seeing each other. Seeing upon her eyes, I remember the feeling when I felt her clitoris.
No one has ever touched her that way except for me. However, the royal code of Canterlot declares that when a mare is touched like that by a male, then it means they’re mates from now on, causing a permanent union between both of them.
“John… I love you.”
“I love you too, Luna.”
Then again, I start to blush, like her, when I realize that from now on, she had chosen me as her mate.
...
We were married from now on.
I can only think about that fact when I see with horror in my face the nightmare going on down stairs:
A massive horde of zombies entering to the mall.
