Chapter One

Prolog

This is the journal or the accounts of one pony by the name of Silver Sky Lily. A Unicorn who was born long before the Princess ever came to power and long before Nightmare Moon. This Journal now belongs to the Canterlot Library.

I never thought that my story would never come to light, that it along side me would stay hidden in the Everfree Forest forever until I was able to die or the ground below my hooves gave way for all eternity. But now I'm happy that is has came out and everypony knows. Some of the Nobles the ones with the sticks up their flanks are having a cow but I just like to ignore them for now. I have friends and a love which all came from this time in my life where I faced my fears, and found out who I truly was. I closed my eyes as I let the moon light was over me as I reflected back on the day where my light turned around from a solitary pony to one who was sent casting down in a whirlpool of hell, and it all started with a nightmare.

Chapter Two

Chapter One

The secent of cherries filled the air, as light pink cherry blossoms fall from the sky. All seems fine, peaceful almost until the sky turns a dark blue as the blossoms turn to fallen ash. My eyes shoot open causing me to stare at the darkness that fulled my room. My horn flared up making a large candle to light, filling the room with a soft orange warm glow. The candle was housed in a lantern hanging from the ceiling so it could light up every square inch of the house. My hoof pushed back my covers as I sat up a bit in my own bed. My mane was a mess it looked like Pinkie Pie had gotten a hold of it. Sighing slightly I got to my hooves trudging over to my mirror which was sitting on the top of my dresser "Well it's more of a table than a dresser" I thought to myself.

Now let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Lily and depending on whether it is day or night I change my first part of my name. During the day I got by Sun Lily a unicorn who's magic is weak but makes up with upper body strength that you could only find on an earth pony. During the night I go by Moon Lily a physically weak unicorn, but I had extremely powerful magic. It may seem like I'm running from something, or somepony but I'm running from my past. My mane was finally fixed where if I stepped out into town I wouldn't get stopped by Rarity. She was a snow white unicorn with dark purple mane and tail who worked in the local boutique. She didn't like my mane since it was a light blue at the roots and faded to a dark blue to the ends, and my tail was a solid blue. I moved from the mirror to a small black box that sat at the end of my bed.

Using my magic I in-cased the lid in a light grey magic field, as I moved it to the left pulling out a pair of saddle bags that matched my coat. It was also a light grey in color. These didn't have my cutie mark on them since it makes a few ponies feel uneasy around me. I don't have that problem now though since I moved near the small town of Ponyvile. I placed a pair of small reading glasses on muzzle along with the bags on my back. I looked up towards the lantern hanging from the ceiling pulling it down keeping the candle lit. Like I said I live near Ponyvile, I pushed my door open staring dead center at a thick patch of trees blacking out the sun and moon. I live in the middle in the Everfree Forest so when I need to hide, or move from the area I could do it in secret without ponies asking questions. The lies I've created have become my life now. Walking along a dirt path with the lantern floating in front of me lighting my way. The Everfree is a safe place for me since I have no pony to talk to well except Zecora. Every now and then I would kick a stray rock off the path and into the darkness.

The path soon came to an end as the rays of sun light hit my eyes, causing me to squint. Celestia's sun almost seemed like a warden looking down at his prisoners. Blowing out the candle in the lantern before I hid it behind a tree. I adjusted my glasses with my magic before stepping out into the open. The sounds of birds singing hit my ears from a nearby cottage.

"They sound lovely Fluttershy." I spoke softly hoping not to scare the sunflower yellow pegasus with light pink mane and tail as she jumped at my voice. She hid behind her mane and tail as I placed a hoof on her shoulder. Her eyes glanced up at me and she calmed down enough to talk.

"Sorry Sun Lily I didn't know it was you." her voice was soft just barely above a whisper. "Their getting better just not their." she was standing up looking at the birds as I smiled. It was good seeing Fluttershy getting out of her shell, when I first meet her she wouldn't even get off the dirt and her pet bunny had to shove me away.

"That's good to hear your birds sing lovely in the mornings and the afternoons." I grinned as the sound of a stamped reached our ears as we both turned out heads towards the sound.

"FLUTTERSHY!!" a southern voice called out as a orange mare came into view. She had bright blond mane hidden under a brown worn out stetson that rested on top of her head.

"Hello Applejack." Fluttershy squeaked out as I stepped aside.

"I need ya help shy beavers are building up damns again on me farm!" she was out of breath running from the northern most part of the farm to Fluttershy's cottage which was at the southern part of the fields.

"I'll leave you to help out Fluttershy." I smiled as she gave me a slight nod. I started walking down the paved road towards the daily market. "Well I guess apples will have to wait" I thought to myself remembering that if the farm had problems all the Apples would have all hooves on deck. As I entered the busy market place I put up the lie I had made, as I put on a show making it seem like the bag of bits were to heavy for my magic so I gave up and ended up carrying it. I walked up to my first stall buying some roses and water lilies, then to another for some candy and so on and so forth. As the afternoon rolled around I stopped by the town hall seeing if any pony had posted up any jobs I could do for some spare bits. I don't have a special talent or a steady job. For instance my cutie mark is a pentagram that I earned a long time ago, and two If I held a normal job all my lies would come shattering down. Seeing nothing was posted up I went back to shopping that is until I saw a mix match creature floating down the road with the Princess of the Sun and Twilight and her friends following behind him.

He had the same laugh he did all those years ago when I first saw him, but his demeanor has changed extremely! I hid behind some creates keeping watch on the creature. The Princess had stepped up on the water fountain with her wings spread out wide causing everypony to stop what they were doing and pay attention to her.

"Attention My little ponies as of today the villain or creature known as Discord has been set free, but he will be placed in the hands of the elements to try and reform him. If that doesn't work I'm sadly to say he will be turned to stone." As she went on Discord had moved up behind me.

"I knew I've seen your flank before." his voice was low as he had a toothy grin. My eyes move to meet his.

"OH! I have meet you before." he kept his grin up as I keep my eyes on him.

"Sunt șocat că m-ai uitat tu ceva josnic" (I'm shocked that you have forgotten me you vile thing) I gave him a low growl in my native tongue that have been lost to the ages, erased by time. When I said that his eyes widen in what I had said to him.

"Let's talk somewhere else." his happy demeanor had changed as he snapped his lion's paw causing a flash making Twilight and her friends and the Princess go up in alert. We both appeared in a meadow not far from town.

"I didn't think you survived all this time." he circled me as I placed my bags on the ground.

"You know bucking well I have survived all this time!" I have switched back to common since we were both alone in a field.

"OH I thought the little princesses would have locked you up in the castle since you are a walking history book!" he flicked my horn as my magic flared up while I kept a deadly glare at him.

"I did well enough to keep out of their line sight sort of speak." I kept my magic up as he gazed towards moving object that came out of the distance. I turned my head causing my magic to disparate as I noticed Twilight with her light purple coat and dark navt mane and tail was running at the head of her friends with the Princess in tow.

"Alergi mințit! ce le-a spus nu-i așa! Nu-i așa!"(You bucking lied! you told them didn't you! Didn't you!!) I shouted at him switching back to my native tongue again as my magic was creating sparks in my horn causing me to shake my head. I took a minuet to take a few deep breathes as I flared my horn up again.

"nope I didn't" he floated off towards the shock ponies that I thought I could call friends. My magic died again as I could tell by their faces what they were thinking of me.

"Discord you can't steal ponies anymore" her voice was stern yet gentle at the same time.

"Oh Celestia I was just wanting to speak to an old friend." he had a pout to his face as I gave him a lock that could kill him.

"Să nu îndrăznești să-mi spui tu prietenul CREATURĂ VILE"(Don't you dare call me friend you VILE CREATURE!!) I screamed out forgetting that I wasn't speaking common as my eyes widen and my ears flatten against my head as I looked towards the ground. My heart had sunk in my chest. The princess walked over towars me as I had tears forming in my eyes which I wipe away with my hoof. She laid on the grass looking at me eye to eye.

"My little pony what is your name?" her voice reminded me of my mother who I so did miss.

"Lily." was all I could get out.

"May I ask how do you know the old language that was common around my youth?" she had made Twilight jump in shock as my ear pressed harder against my head.

"I read it in a book" my eyes darted back and forth as the Princess stood up as a random guard came up to her.

"Princess your needed back at the castle the nobles are not liking your sister on the throne at the moment." he looked up at the Sun Princess who nodded.

"For now I must go I will leave Discord in your hooves Fluttershy" she looked towards the shy pegasus "And for miss Lily I will leave you in my Student's hooves I wish to know what book you've read" she gave me a chilling glare as Twilight was bowing.

"My life is over." I thought as the chariot pulled away. Fluttershy and Discord had left leaving me with Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie since Rainbow Dash had went to look after Fluttershy.

"So is their anything you need from your home I mean I have a spare room and other stuff" I had stop listening by then since she was going off on a rant as her mane started to spring to life.

"Books, I need my books." I simply said as Applejack walked up to me.

"Well sug lets go get your books." she smiled as Twilight returned to normal.

"Oh yes!"

"Now darling where do you live?" Rarity had walked up now.

"The Everfree." I walked past them after pulling my saddle bags back onto my back as I stepped on to a dirt road walking towards the forest leaving everyone in shock.

Chapter Three

"Darling...did you just say the Everfree!?" Rarity looked as she was just stolen by the diamond dogs again.

"You do not half to follow me, I can go alone." I turned my head slowly back to them as the sun started setting and my hair slightly shifted colors.

" I think we’re good sug." Applejack had grabbed Rarity by the tail as she dragged her towards town with Pinkie bouncing behind them. Twilight was the only one still sitting there with stress and panic still visible in her mane.

"I will meet you at your home as the moon is rising in the sky." I left on that note heading towards the edge of the forest keeping an eye out for any pony. I took a different road than normal due to Discord staying at Fluttershy's cottage. I pulled out another lantern from a tree as I made the candle inside lit with a flick of my magic. The candle had a soft blue flame that lit the path in a blueish green light.

I was alone to my thoughts thinking of the day's events and about the past. My mind wondered back to the day before the end. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom as cherry pies were sitting on window seals, while the children play and the adults were fixing the town for a festival. I spent my day in a field practicing my spell that I was going to show off to the town. I worked all year on this one little spell. Snap! I snapped out of my thoughts as I lifted my hoof up to see what I stepped on but I all I saw was dirt. The hairs on my neck stood up as I moved my eyes to the left and then to the right. A small bush with what seemed to be light blue flowers with yellow centers shaking by itself.

"Există vreun ponei spatele meu?"(Is there any pony behind me?)

I spoke up loud as I turned around watching the bush. It started rustling again as I noticed a small little purple tail with green spikes adorn atop of it. I bent my head down towards the bush and smiled.

"I hope no pony is lying in this bush due to it grows Poison Joke." with that a small purple dragon jumped from the bush screaming as he did a little dance trying to shake the leaves and flowers off. I placed my hoof to my mouth as I started to laugh.

"Not funny." he pointed a little claw at me as I bent my head down to his face staring at him eye to eye.

"Why not? I mean you’re the one who is following me are you not?" I lifted my head up again as I walked past him causing him to run up to me.

"Well yeah but you did something to Twilight!" he shouted as I placed a hoof on his snout.

"One does not yell in the forest or you will cause something a lot worse than a Timberwolf to appear and Two I did not." I picked him up and placed him on my saddle bags.

"Then why was she going into a level 3." he crossed his arms as I stopped a few feet away from my door step.

"Level 3?" I questioned him as he nodded.

"Well it’s when she gets stressed or starts panicking." He motioned with his arms causing me to laugh again.

"I think that was caused by the Princess." I turned my head towards my door, grabbing the handle with my magic turning it ever so slightly.

"Oh." He was silent after that when we stepped in to my home. His eyes light up as I placed the lantern on the ceiling hook again. My house is relatively small compared to the one's in the town. I only have a cooking pot and a bed along with the table which my brushes set upon and a box.

"So what did she say?" He broke the silence as I was packing the box with a couple of books I had pulled from under the bed.

"That I would be staying with her until some things are found out or straighten out which in my mind will be a very long time." I had placed the books on top of the blanket. I replaced the lid wrapping some rope around it sealing it safely.

"Why is that?" He was looking at me just like the others making me to sigh.

"This stays between you and me okay?" I sat in front of him as he nodded with a large ruby floating in front of his face.

"Yeah sure." he grabbed the ruby from my magic and into his claws.

"It's because of my past Spike and that's it now let’s get going before Twilight sends the troops looking for you." I placed the box on my back with him on-top of it. I'm really not worried about him hearing me especially since he was too busy drooling over the ruby. I had the lantern floating in front of me again as I stepped slightly down the dirt road. The night time is the worst to travel though the Everfree Forest the animals are more active now than the daytime. I never really had a problem with them since I always sent them packing with my magic but with spike with me things are a little more complicated.

My Life has just gotten more complicated since the princess has me living under her watch, the one thing I did not need. Spike was on my back munching on the ruby now as I walked out of the forest carrying the lantern leaving the candle lit. I would have blown my candles out as I entered the edge of town but this one I like to leave lit since, it creates an illusion of nothing just a will-o-wisp dancing in the night. Will-o-wisp are small blue orbs that look like their unfired but you can never tell, because the closer you get the father they get. I walked through town looking at the empty streets as the stars above started twinkling as I walked up to a large tree sitting in the middle of town. A small sign with a book on it was sitting out front as the lights were still on.

"Where here Spike." I placed him on the ground as he finished his last piece of the ruby.

"That was fast." he pulled out his set of keys as I shook my head.

“That’s because you were busy munching on the ruby I had given you” I spoke while he had pushed the door open revealing a chaotic mess of books in line along with tones of cleaning supplies.

“TWILIGHT I’M BACK!” he shouted causing everything to disappear in a large purple flash causing me to blink a couple of times. I noticed the books were all in order on the book shelves as well as the floor was clean to the point I could see my own reflection. I placed the box I was carrying against the door frame as I placed the lantern next to it and my saddle bags on top of the crate as I walked over towards a shelf noticing many of the books were either worn down along the spine or were completely new. Spike had shut the main door before getting tackled to the ground but a large purple blur.

“Oh Spike I was worried about you! You didn’t leave a note where you were going off to I thought you went to Rarity’s.” She had gotten off of him allowing him to get back to his feet. I noticed he kept his mouth shut as we both noticed her mane was fringe out like she was crawling around some basement.

“Spike I need you to make some tea we will be having a guest stay for a period of time.” She was straightening her mane as Spike laughed.

“I know already” he walked past me heading towards the kitchen; I had moved my gaze from the books over towards her as she walked over next to me.

“Like what you see?” she had spoken up as I placed a book back in its spot causing me to look at her shinning violet orbs she calls eyes.

“Not really, I never had time to read any of this” I waved my hoof at a couple of bookshelves “Never understood why ponies wrote any of it anyway.” What I said may have just killed her as she didn’t say a single or even move.

“Spike I think I broke her!” I shouted to the drake in the kitchen.

“YOU NEVER READ BOOKS!!!” by her screaming that I think I know where I went wrong.

“Sorry I should have said I never ready anything from this time period. I do like to read but stuff from the olden days Ms. Sparkle.” I went to being informal to being formal now since the princess had me staying here. I walked over towards the wooden box as I pulled out a large stack of books bound by different types of leather and jars full of different types of crystals and one full of small pink crystals. I had many more books that I had from my wagon but their all back in the house I had helped built a long time ago with a very special pony.

“Mind if I make some tea?” I looked at her as she was staring at the jars.

“I have Spike making some now” she looked at me puzzled as I walked into the kitchen next to spike as I pulled out a large black kettle and placed it on the stove next to the small bright white one he was using.

“What are you doing?” he looked at me as I pulled out a couple of pink crystals dropping them in to the kettle letting them boil.

“Making Tea.” It was all I said as I pulled the kettle off the burner carrying it in my magic towards the library and placing it inside the fire place as I dug through the box pulling out some small tea cups as well as pulling the sugar and honey off the tray Spike was carrying.

“Hey you could wait” he was cut off by the sight of seven jars with different types of crystals in them.

“No you may not eat these spike they will give you a stomach ache” I pulled the kettle from the fire pouring into the cups a bright pink liquid with a sweet smell to it. “Ms. Sparkle?”

“It’s Twilight please Lily”

“Fine Twilight would you like some Cherry blossom tea?” I asked holding the cup up as her ears went up while she gave me this odd look.

“Sure but I never heard of this tea before?” She took the cup in her magic as I was about to grab the sugar and honey she took a sip from the cup.

“It’s too bitter!” she placed the cup down as I rolled my eyes doctoring up both cups as I handed hers back to her.

“Now try it” she took it from my magic again taking another sip as I pulled a large black book in front of me as I got settled in front of the fire.

“It’s good, may I ask a question?”

“Sure I don’t see why not but I get to pick which ones I want to answer” I placed the book back into the box as I pulled out a small dark blue pillow using my magic I took off the shrinking spell and caused it to become it’s normal state again.

“Okay that sounds fair” she pulled a pillow from the couch as she laid next to me as I keep the fire going around the kettle as I pulled a couple of jars over towards us.

“Well go ahead” I popped a small red crystal into my mouth as she shook her head.

“Alright then question one are you part dragon?”

“No these are special crystals grown a long time ago Twilight that ponies can eat” I popped a red on in her mouth before she could ask another question about them. What’s the best way to find out about something then trying it yourself?

“Okay question two what was the book you told the princess about?”

“There is no book Twilight.”

“So you lied?” her ears went flat against her head as I sighed. I should really get use to this as I will meet many ponies who I will need to tell this to, I should have never came out of the forest.

“yes I did lie to her”

“Why?”

“Because the langue I spoke is in no books but the one’s the princesses have Twilight back when they were younger and the three tribes were still fighting. To me what I was speaking was more common than what you speak today!” I took a sip from my cup as I sighed “And I’m sorry for lying Twilight but I rather not be locked in a tower somewhere because of my past! Look my name is lily I do not remember my name from a long time ago I bet it’s written somewhere in history!” I pulled out a small drawing of a family together with trees in the background. “This is my family from years ago” I pointed to a Pegasus with large white wings out with a small golden ring around one, with a dark blue mane and tail “That’s my father” I moved over to a unicorn with a dark grey almost black coat with a light blue mane and tail “My mother” I then moved over to a smaller Pegasus with a white coat and a dark blue and black mane and tail “My brother”

“This is odd Lily” Twilight was trying to wrap her brain around what I was saying.

“It’s really old Twilight older than the princesses, I drew this when I was younger that was before there was any princesses and Discord.”

“What!” she shouted at me.

“How do you think he knew me and I knew him?”

Chapter Four

Chapter Three

“Now how do you Discord?” she was watching me as I worked on the kettle creating a new pot of tea for us.

“I was born like I said a long time ago Twilight, I lost my village to him and I was foolish enough to go after him and attack him but he won.” I poured a new cup of tea as did Twilight.

“So why do you avoid the princesses?”

“Let’s talk about your day first?” I did not even want to answer that but I don’t want her to know that. Spike had gone to bed for the evening as I sat in front of the fire listening to Twilight as she went on about her day with Discord and how Fluttershy managed to get him in line which gave me a complete shock. Discord the god of chaos listing to a pony and Fluttershy, now the world had made no sense to me.

“Now will you answer my question why do you avoid the princesses?” we had finished off the tea as I looked down at my cup trying to find the right words.

“Listen to you and any other pony I am a walking history book. I know everything about the princesses’ younger years and day and I know life before them. If you knew all of that would you really want to be locked away in the castle and watch as pony after pony you made friends with died out?” her ears had flatten as I sat up looking out the window. “I would rather spend my days walking the earth making friends waiting for the end of days then being locked in a bloody tower!” I was growling at this point as she placed a hoof on my shoulder.

“I don’t think you be locked in a tower just restricted to the castle grounds.” Whatever she was trying to do was making me feel better. I noticed the moon was almost full, I got up for a bit and walked over towards the window thinking about the cherry blossom tree and how I should go check on it since my mind is drifting off into memory land. I don’t know what Twilight was up to but I did see she had a scroll in her magic before turning it into a cloud of purple smoke as it flew off into the air.

I really didn’t pay any mind to the spell as I looked back towards the moon and a thought struck me. It wasn’t late it was barely eight at night and I know the train runs late on certain nights. “Hey Twilight?”

“Yes?”

“Want to go on a history…. You want to go see where I lived as a kid??” I’m not very good at trying to ask ponies to come with me to the north I had only taken one pony with me and that was a long time ago before Luna became nightmare moon. I looked up from the floor as I noticed her eyes were wide and glistening making her look like Rarity when she in a diamond shop. I slowly creped over towards my bags as she did a mad dash around the library grabbing things like parchment, quills, ink and large blank journals but she did forget one thing snow gear. My coat was thick enough to handle the frozen north. I emptied my bags as I placed a couple of bits in them so I would have a way to pay for the train ticket back and forth.

“So any other ponies come with us?” she shouted as I pulled the bags up on my back as I took a deep breath “No Twilight my friends all died out a long long time ago.” A purple flash blinded me again as she punched my shoulder.

“Not all your friends died out!” she was mad very mad at me and that statement as I smiled to myself. “Alright now do you have everything you need?” I spoke up as a scroll came between us as Twilight grabs it with her magic unrolling it as I noticed the seal on it. It was from the princess herself as my heart dropped in my chest.

“What does it say Twilight?” I was pulling a scarf on as her eyes were scanning the page.

“She wants us in Canterlot in the next few days she already sent cards to my friends.” She rolled the scroll back up as I handed her a piece of parchment.

“Alright well leave a note to Spike and let’s head out.” I walked over to the fire place pulling the kettle out as Twilight finished up her note along with a check list which I was able to hear her plan out loud. I stepped outside and instantly I could hear the stars singing to me causing me to close my eyes as I just stood there outside of the library listing to them. Twilight brought me out of my stupor as I looked over at her.

“What are you doing?”

“Listing to the stars”

“Well let’s go” she started walking towards the train station as I followed suit with my lantern in my mouth. I still had to bring it with me since I spent so many years traveling with it hiding me from the gaze of night time ponies. We made it to the train station as the train was preparing to disembark. I paid for both our tickets to the north as we boarded the train I blew out the candle causing a few ponies to jump since I was using a candle that made is invisible to the ones we weren’t talking to. I loved using that candle made it so much easier to go unnoticed when wanted. We settled in our compartment waiting for the train to move from the train station and Twilight pulled out a large scroll along with a long white and orange quill.

“So where are we heading to?” she looked at me as I placed my bags on the floor curling up on a bed on the opposite side of the car.

“We are heading to a small town up north past the Crystal Empire called Crystal Cherry Flori or Crystal Cherry Flowers. It’s very well hidden with some ancient magic that was taught to me no pony or creature besides me and a few others who have passed knows where this town is.”

“Why is it called Crystal Cherry Flowers?”

“It’s called that because it was the only place in Equestria that grew cherry blossom trees as well as the tea that goes along side it but that was before ponies started sailing across the oceans to the griffons and dragons. The reason I hid the town is because the tree grew crystal leaves and flowers instead of the normal flowers or leaves you would see in the spring along Canterlot.” I just blew her mind. Twilight’s quill dropped to the wooden floor below as she simply lay there on her bed staring at me.

“Yes I know what I said okay! Can we just sleep please?” I pulled the covers over me as I closed my eyes.

“Just one more question where dose your cutie mark come from or mean?” she made my ears twitch as I pushed the covers back off of me as I rolled over facing her.

“Okay this is before the Elements and your symbol which I know means magic. Back when I was born there was an old saying where ponies that had the pointed star would be magical. Which if you were around back then you would know that a pony with a pentagram like mine would have high amounts of magic like you.” I had pointed to my flank causing her to blush a bit. “So my mom taught me a bit of magic and a group of elders along with my grandfather taught me all the magic they knew and from that point on I created my own spells and potions whatever I needed.”

She was scribbling down what I just said as I pulled the covers back over my head as I closed my eyes “one more?” Or not.

“Twilight when we get to the north we will need all our strength to just hike to the town, and during that hike I will answer any question you want!”

“Okay.”

I closed my eyes and instantly I could hear screams and the sensation of flames could be felt along my coat. The sky was black and orange as I stood on a hill watching the town burn before my eyes as my brother was pulling me by my tail.

"Lasă-mă să merg Royal cer Lily!"(Let me go Royal sky Lily!) I shouted at him as he pressed his muzzle up against mine as he stared at me dead in the eyes.

He let go of my tail as I followed him until his tracks had disappeared into a blizzard as the scene disappeared under my hooves as I noticed an Alicorn watching from a far as the scene turned into a peaceful day as my brother was flying high into the day time sky with my father helping the earth ponies with the crystals as my mother was with the other mare’s creating blankets. An Alicorn almost an ebony color with the stars in her mane which I could hear as the birds singing right beside me. Her mane and tail were pulled into a pony tail as I looked up at her.

“Hello” she lay next to me as I looked over at her.

“I know you can speak common little one” my ears laid against my head as I stared at her.

“I’m not young, now what can I do for you?” I watched as my father jumped up and down on the clouds alongside my brother as my mother started picking crystals from the trees. Their faces are gone leaving only bodies walking around the town.

“I felt a nightmare coming from you so I thought I would help.” Her voice and the way she looked almost seemed familiar to me as I watched as the scene started to fade underneath our hooves. “Our time is ending.” She had disappeared.

My eyes shot open causing Twilight to fall back on to her bed as I sat up breathing hard as I look over in her direction “What’s wrong?”

“Your horn was glowing I thought something was wrong.” She had her bags on her back as I could hear the conductor yelling in the hallway causing me to get to my hooves as I grabbed my bags along with my scarf which I had left on. The train had pulled into the station and Twilight’s head was shooting around like an owl during the night as we walked past a few guards who were busy with a few visiting ponies.

“Are you okay Twilight? I keep watching your head whip back and forth like and owl’s and it’s giving me whiplash” I rubbed my neck as she turned her head towards me.

“Making sure my brother isn’t around, he runs the empire with my sister in law and I just have his feeling in the pit of my stomach.” She hung her head as we walked off the train station and started heading north.

“Now what kind of questions did you have on the train or brought with you that I need to answer?” we had been walking for a while and I could always tell when we got near the town since the grass around the area had a certain feel to it.

“Oh yes I was thinking when you told spike that he couldn’t eat the crystals why?”

“Well the crystals we grew were for food and not for fashion. Since they were made by earth ponies and not by the ground and pressure like the ones Rarity uses the structures are all different along with the magical properties. I bet if I gave Applejack a couple of seeds she could use them to grow some seeds and taught her some of the traditions she could grow crystal apples. Now on to your next question!” I raised my hoof up into the air as she giggled a bit as we continued on through the snow. Lucky for us it wasn’t snowing that bad just a light dusting at the current moment but it was deep enough where I had created a small barrier at our feet to push the snow away as we walked.

“Well you and the princesses have lived for a very long time and I always wonder did you have multiple partners and how do you deal with the loss?” by that question I could tell that the Princess Celestia have kept some things to herself.

“Yes I had three ponies’ one wife, one husband and one mare friend. I had met my wife one year after I had attacked Discord she found me on the banks of a river that had entered into Baltimare, that was about six or seven years after my town had gone up in flames before the princesses could seal Discord in stone. Well my first wife was an earth pony by the name of Sweet Meadow she was the one who found me. Sweet had a light green mane and tail with a bright lemon color coat and she was exactly like Pinkie Pie well she actually related to Pinkie Pie.”

“What!”

“Pinkie comes from her sister Sour Meadow’s side of the family. Now where was I oh yes Sweet Meadow, now she could turn teas into sweets and clouds into cotton candy and basically anything else she could get her hooves on. We set up a nice little tea and sweet shop in Baltimare but she spent her time on the road doing deliveries and a few to the Everfree forest where the capitol was at the current time. As time went on Sweet noticed that I could do things that no pony could and that I wasn’t aging like I should, so one day as I was out she did something to the door that I never thought of, she laced the darn door with invisible cotton candy and trapped me in midair!” I rubbed my head as Twilight was scribbling on. The grass was still the same as we walked through the snow.

“I told her everything and well we became close after to the point where we married and lived a good life. She died in her sleep next to me. I left town after the funeral since I couldn’t keep my illusion spell up anymore. When I left town I ended up in Hollow Shades where I met Necro Skull a unicorn stallion who knew what he was doing. He was the last of the unicorns that I knew who could perform black magic. You probably saw his picture in the castle with the other noble or ponies who helped build Canterlot.”

“Wait the one with the black coat and white mane from the house of Skull Crystal?” she had placed her parchment away as I gave her a nod.

“Yes that is the very same. We moved up to the Canterlot project after a certain point in his life made it where he didn’t want to stay in Hollow Shades. After we built our house we help create the lunar guard and then we settled down and started a nice family. I had two sons and one daughter. You know one of my sons Little Skull he was in the guard so he was banished alongside Luna his mind was so traumatized he thought I was someone else in his family, so I left him call me grandma up to this point. “

“Sorry about that.” Twilight was looking at me as I smiled.

“It’s alright besides you made Sweet Skull proud by saying her tea was the best and you made Sweet Night worried when you came into the library just worried that you would end up over your head.” I glanced at her as she started to blush.

“How do you know them!” she shouted causing me to laugh.

“They are my great great grandkids Twilight and yes they all know about me and about each other but they like the lie their living and their privacy.”

“Okay but what about you mare friend?” she was looking at me as I felt the grass started to turn from normal to a crystal type of substance.

“Well her name back then was Fairy Wings but you know her as Crystalis” this made Twilight jump about five to four feet into the air.

“Really!”

“Yes but like I said she was only a mare friend since she only liked it when I could go flying with her she was too busy learning how to rule over the flutterponies from her mother and that just created tension between us but we broke up on a good note. Last I heard Discord’s magic had finally reached her and her family changing them into what they are today.” I was too busy thinking about that day until I was brought back to this world by tripping over a small stone.

“Lily are you okay?” Twilight looked over at me as I sat up shaking the snow off my head.

“Yes just tripped over that bucking stone again!” I walked around the stone brushing some of the snow off as I sighed.

“Sorry about that big brother but I did bring a pony with me this time.” I placed my hoof on the stone as my ears go up as I could hear snow being crunched under something.

“I thought your family was turned to ash or died in town.”

“My brother dragged me away from the town and he died with me in a cave not far from here but somepony is coming.” I turned towards my east and walked forward until I felt a cold metal rib bit under my hoof. Three large guards with bright blue armor with crystal in the middle appear all around us as we were forced on to the metal door causing me to smile to myself.

“HALT!” the all shouted as Twilight started to twitch.

“Twilight?”

“WERE DOOMED!” she shouted as I could see the twitching was getting worse.

I rolled my eyes at Twilight as I pulled out a light blue crystal on a silver chain that I had hidden underneath my scarf this whole entire time. As the guards were coming in closer I smiled at them.

“This area is well protected but not by your price or princess!” I dropped low to my stomach causing the area to light up with a bright pink glow as the door under out hooves swung open dropping me and Twilight into the dark abyss below.

“I know those ponies they work for my brother Shining Armor!” Twilight was too busy panicking to even notice that I had dropped us into a dark cold area. I rolled my eyes as I got to my hooves holding Twilight still as my horn flared up with a large bright white orb and as I released it, the orb separated into small little orbs which exploded into the air casting their lights off the crystals that were growing on the wall which reflected their light letting Twilight see the area below which had a large cherry blossom tree with a dark brown almost black trunk and small little pink crystals singing as they land on the ground below. Underneath the tree was a roped off area and outside that area was small stones with names written on them. The town was left in ruins with only foundations and small amounts of walls left standing giving a pony and idea of how the town was laid out. I walked down the frozen stairways from the metal door which I sealed back up before the guards could follow us.

“Don’t eat the green crystals their poison if not grown to be ripe or prepared correctly.” I planted my hooves on the ground as I looked back up at Twilight who was still gawking at the scenery.

“TWILIGHT!!!” I shouted at her causing the crystals to ring out making her to snap out of her daze to look out at me. “Are you coming?”

“Yes yes I am” she walked down the stairs as I went on a head and walked over towards the tree as I placed my ear up against the bark closing my eyes for a bit as I could feel the magic that was entering into it and it wall sounded pretty good to me. I opened my eyes as I walked over to a small circle placing my bags on the ground. I noticed Twilight was sketching a few buildings out on parchment as she was trying to retrace the symbols on the bricks.

I looked around to see if my boxes were in place before I turned my attention. Since she was around and I wasn’t in the mood for translating what I said I took a deep breath “Those who have fallen from their time who guard this tree in spirit I Silver Lily the member of the clan of Lily descendant of the skies, and remaining Clan member of magic I ask for thee to grant us permission to take the blossoms of this tree and the fruit that grown from underneath.” I bowed to the tree creating a gust of wind that shocked Twilight a bit as the leaves fell from the tree landing into a couple of boxes as the rest fell into the ground. I used my magic to pick up the stray leaves along the ground as I picked a few crystals growing on vines along the walls of the forgotten buildings in the back of the town. I had let Twilight walked off wondering by herself as I finished doing what I was doing. I got the crystals packed in the boxes as I placed the same spell on the boxes that I did on most of the stuff I had back at Twilight’s place in Ponyvile. I gathered my bags as I wondered though the small area that is my town as I noticed a set of hoof prints heading towards the outer rim of the town towards the one house that was mostly standing. I followed the foot prints towards the house as I saw Twilight standing their looking at a picture in the wall of a large blue Alicorn with a blurred out cutie mark.

“Who is this?” she pointed towards the picture that was drawn on the wall which seemed to survive the fire.

“My grandfather”

“But he looks”

“I know he looks like an Alicorn I don’t want to speak about it” I walked out of the house as I turned my back on the picture and the house itself as Twilight followed behind.

“Why not?” her ears were against her head as I turned to look at her as I kicked the dirt, which was underneath my hooves.

“Because it was a long time ago Twilight I keep my real name hidden from the world for a reason I don’t want others to know and I hardly remember my past okay” I walked towards a dark section of the wall as Twilight moved up against me I cast another light spell which the crystals soaked up causing them to look like small lanterns that were already built into the walls. We were very quiet until we reached an opening in the cavern.

“We should be by the train tracks” I started kicking the dirt as my necklace hanged down low as it was still glowing a soft blue as Twilight was burning holes in my head. “Ask”

“How ... never mind now please I’m sorry if I brought something troubling up.” She had her ears flat against her head.

“It’s just that my grandfather is an Alicorn and he never came to help us when we called! I mean he always came when we called! He was their early in the morning but we never saw him that night” I had tears in my eyes as Twilight wrapped a hoof around me a scroll popped into existence between us as she unrolled it.

“It’s from the princess she wants us on the next train to Canterlot” I then took the scroll and a quill as I wrote:

I handed the scroll back towards Twilight as I went back to looking for a large wooden platform as Twilight stood there a bit puzzled.

“Just send it, at least it be some pony that I know then some random guard.” I stumbled on to the platform my face lighting up like a tree as I kicked the dirt off Twilight sent the scroll. “Found it” I flared up my horn with a light grey magic as Twilight stepped up on the platform I used my magic to pull it up to the surface. We got to the surface and I noticed that Twilight had a couple of books that were sticking out of her bags, I had brought one an old speech book I slipped it into her bags as we exited the cave stepping up on to the train platform paying for our tickets. We found another train car we could settle in again and I popped open a create as I pulled out an apple shaped crystal placing one in front of her and one in front of me, after that I placed the create back as I took a bite out of the apple keeping quiet and to my thoughts.

“Hey what’s this?” Twilight pulled out the speech book I had placed in her bag as I moved my glasses up looking at the book.

“It’s a speech book something I found while looking for you I got others you can keep but he speech book might come in handy deciphering some of the symbols and books that I have. “ I went back to eating my apple as I closed my eyes as I drifted back to an old memory where I had walked into a store in Baltimare ordering a few crystals thinking they were the same, broke a couple of teeth. Sweet meadow gave me hell for breaking a couple of teeth. Necro though it was the oddest thing about me but he soon like it as it gave a nice touch around the house, and Fairy had used her magic to see if I was alright when I showed her one.

“This is edible!” Twilight had dropped her book as I gave her a nod.

“There the same stuff of what I have in the small glass jars it’s just that this is what they look like.” I had pulled out a scroll and quill I had taken from Twilight’s bag as I wrote a simple letter out to her son or grandson as he thought.

Dear Little Skull,

I'm coming into Canterlot for a few days with a friend Twilight, I do not know if her friends are coming so will you check the Train station every now and then for them please. Make sure they get to the castle but when we arrive I need to head to the house first if that is possible. And I hear congrats are in order for making Captain of Luna's guard, please do not let Captain Armor fill your head with stuff, by the gods I know what runs through his head.

I used an old spell where I wrote the address to the pony on the outside of the scroll then wrapped it around the quill and set it unfire with my magic. I laid my head on the pillow as my mind drifted off to my family. It has been years since I saw any of them. I do remember teaching the current foals and fillies how to walk on the clouds that hung low around the property. Last I saw Twilight was still reading as Luna’s moon was moving up into the night sky. I was thinking about grabbing a nice cup of coffee from the passing food cart but then I drifted back to the time Necro had bucking buried me. All this time with Twilight has me thinking of her as Necro and a small tear formed in my eye. He was the one stallion the one pony that was able to capture my heart in love but how he treated me when he found out about my past and everything. It always feels like he took my heart with him to the grave. As I spent more and more time in my own memories the night had zoomed by as the train pulled into Canterlot train station. I was brought out of my memories pushing them into the back of my skull as Twilight was shaking me violently.

“What is wrong?” I rubbed my eyes as I pulled my bags on to my back as the train came to a stop.

“Luna’s guard it out! During the Day and is here!” she was almost whispering as I laughed a bit.

“Dose this guard looks like a dark black Pegasus with a blue mane and coat along with a skull and a shield for a cutie mark?” I stared at her before I pulled back the car door waiting for the line of ponies to move.

“How?” she was looking at me in complete shock again as I got in line behind the line of ponies as I noticed Little was standing along the gates of the train station as I came walking up poking him in his side.

“Twilight meet Little Skull Captain of Luna’s guard” he gave a salute to Twilight as he turned to me giving me a hug.

“Hello grandmother” he gave me a light squeeze as I look him over.

“Last time I saw you, was long time ago” I smiled at him. He looked so much like his father it was almost killing me.

“We should leave now I mean I’m late for brunch with the family.” He was looking at an old pocket watch that had out families crest engraved on the front of it. We followed him through the streets of Canterlot as we came up to the noble district where most of them were out getting ready for a day. We came up to the oldest part of the noble district as many of the houses were grand and made from the best of the best wood that’s no longer grown in Equestria. We came up to a large grey house with dark wooden accents. It had a few smaller trees like the large one we saw in town up north as but the leaves were green instead of pink.

“Lily why are the leaves here green and not pink?” she looked over at me as I smiled at her as Little turned his head at the both of us as we were still standing at the main entrance with the family crest which is a skull with crystals in the background.

“They were just picked yesterday Ms. Sparkle they just fell to the ground as the moon was high into the sky.” He had walked over to the tree rubbing his hoof along the base.

“So when we picked the main tree the smaller ones also get picked or lose their leaves?” she was making a bit of sense already. “But you never told me you were a noble” she poked me with a hoof.

“Yes well after me and Necro left from Hollow Shades we came up here to the development of Canterlot and the castle and set up our home here. We didn’t become nobles until I paid for some stuff for the guards and the castle.” I swear every time I say something about the past she freezes up like I had just killed another pony. Well wait until she hears about my past as the noble maiden that would really cause her to freeze up.

“Well are you two coming mother has brunch waiting!” Little called from the front door as making us run up to the door as we entered a room where Midnight queens and some purple tulips were mixed with some bright white moon lilies were sitting in vases. The door was a solid oak along with some of the molding that adorns the walls. Many of my books were sitting behind glass as many of the furniture and artwork was pre-nightmare moon which made Twilight’s jaw dropped.

“Wow”

Three small fillies came running down the stairs, one was a unicorn with a light golden mane and a tail which matched her orange coat, the second was a Pegasus with a dark blue coat and light green mane and tail, and the third was another unicorn with a black coat and a yellow mane and tail. They ran past us first but stopped when they caught glance at me.

“Grandma I would like you to meet Orange Lily, Ocean Meadows, and Grave skull” he had his chest out when I glanced over at him.

“Dad is this really grandma?” Ocean Meadows came up to Little tugging on his armor.

“Yes dear now the three of you go get ready for brunch” he pushes her along as I looked over at him.

“When did you get married?” he was really making me feel like a grandmother now.

“Oh not too long ago, I’ll tell you all about it later but right now I need to check on Snow since she making brunch.” He walked away leaving me and Twilight standing at the door with my eye twitching.

“I BROUGHT REAL!” I shouted causing a couple of dishes falling to the floor in the back as a white coated earth pony mare with a dull grey mane and tail came walking out of the kitchen.

“It was one time!” she stopped as her dark blue eyes went into small little pin pricks as I walked past her leaving my bags in front of her.

“LITTLE WHY DIDN”T YOU TELL ME THAT GRANDMA WAS COMING!” she turned and shouted towards the dining room as I covered my ears.

“It was out of the blue Snow” I rubbed my ears as she placed her hoof on my shoulder.

“And you it was one time! One bloody time that I gave you food poison” she walked off steaming carrying my bags in her mouth. I noticed she was wearing the dress I saw Rarity making a couple of days to go as I rolled my eyes.

“Oh I bet her food has gotten a bit better Lily” Twilight had placed her bags at the door as I turned to look at her.

“A bit is not a lot Twilight” I walked into the dining room before turning to look at her “Care to join us?”

“Sure” she walked in with me as I turned my attention back towards the stallion which was an earth pony sitting across the table with a light blue mane and a dark purple coat who was making out with a unicorn mare with a bright yellow mane and tail with an orange coat. I cleared out my throat causing them to break up as I smiled as they were blushing.

“Twilight I would like you to meet Grim Meadows and” I had my hoof out at the stallion

“This is Golden Flower my wife mother” he was glaring at me as I laughed at him taking my place at the end of the table as Twilight sat next to me.

“Wait I thought they called you grandma?” I could tell she was only half listening.

“Some do some don’t he only calls me mother when he mad at me” I was still grinning ear to ear.

“Wait she is your mother!” Golden gave a shriek as he turned his head to her and gave a simple nod.

“She the one I talked about Hun.” He had placed his hoof around her shoulder as I pushed my glasses up on my muzzle.

“Welcome” was the only thing I could say.

“I didn’t think you were real I mean all the photos and the books “she had her hooves on her stomach as I could tell she was pregnant and I felt my life getting shorter and shorter with all these grandkids around me.

“Not many ponies think I am real since I have been hiding in the Everfree away from the nobles for most of my life now.” Twilight was sipping on some water as Sweet Skull came walking in as she was a unicorn with a black coat and a white and green mane with a tea leaf for a cutie mark. She kind of froze as she was wearing a thin golden necklace around her neck with her cutie mark on it showing her as the royal tea maker. She entered the library as I looked up from my glass.

“Sweet Snow has the cherry blossoms I brought from up north and some crystal food.” She nodded and she looked over towards Twilight.

“Ms. Sparkle I didn’t know you knew my grandmother or was coming” her voice was shaking as I could tell she was becoming like Twilight when something went wrong.

“We only meet a couple of times when I came into town dear.” I took my glasses off as I looked at her.

“What changed?”

“Discord that bloody Animal nebun (Crazed Animal) found me in town and well I shouted at him in the old language” I wanted to duck under the table as Sweet looked at me oddly “In front of the princess” that made Sweet fall to the floor laughing “Oh will you go make the tea Sweet!” I snapped as I placed my head against the table. Golden gave me a look of shock as I bet she never heard what I just spoke.

“Get used to it” Grim whispered it into her ear as Sweet Night came walking into the door with a large stack of books on his back as Little walked into the room with his wife a lovely blue coated unicorn with a lime green mane and tail . Sweet Night was a unicorn who looked like Luna but was smaller with a light blue mane and a book with a ribbon for a cutie mark instead of a moon.

“Grandma this is Ocean Blossoms” Little was blushing as I cast my gaze on her.

“She a changeling” I spoke up as Twilight jumped up with her mane starting to fray out.

“Yes but we been married long before the attack I mean the princess even knew about her” he had put Twilight’s fear to rest and as Sweet Skull came in with Sweet Night who walked in with a book in front of his muzzle. Skull had placed the tray of cherry blossom tree with a couple of crystal fruit in front of every pony as Night sat down beside Twilight closing his book as he reached for an apple. I just stared at him until Snow walked in carrying a large dinner plate on her back with an earth pony that had a yellow coat and mane which was pretty rare up in these parts of Canterlot. His name was Sunflower Lily changed it when he got married to Snow a couple of years back.

“I made some old family soup and salad” Snow placed the dishes around and I picked up my spoon and took a sip of the soup and smiled.

“Alright I got to admit this is good Snow” I made Night drop his spoon as he looked over towards my direction along with Twilight “If you kept you nose out of the books when you were around your family you would of saw me first.” He kept quiet. Everypony sat around the table trading stories and spells and how their days were going. I looked towards my cup and thought about how much I have missed this old place. It has gotten large over the years to house the family members, as my mind drifted I glanced over at the clock.

“Um.. Twilight I think we should be heading towards the castle now.” It was late in the evening and Little jumped up cursing that he was going to be late as well.

“Why don’t we all come?” Grim asked as he looked towards his wife “I mean we all haven’t been together for a long while it be nice for an afternoon stroll” I looked back at Twilight who was getting her bags back on as the rest were getting ready I decided to slip out of the house for a bit as I placed my glasses back on my head as the front door opened making my whipped around like an Owl’s. I noticed that Twilight was the first to walk out with her bags ready she was holding mine in her magic.

“I thought you might want these” she placed them on my back as I secured them around my waist and I gave a slight nod. The rest of the family came out in one big mob with Little leading the way from the house and down the streets to the castle. I felt like I was getting ready for war again heading to the castle so I had started whistling an old song from the day before a loud voice broke the tune.

“LUTTLE YOUR LATE!” I had looked up to see a large white stallion with a dark blue mane and tail wearing a dark royal purple armor as he came walking down the street up to Little.

“Sorry Captain Armor I was invited to my grandmother’s for brunch” he rube his head as Captain armor gave him a look of un trust.

“Likely story!” he was poking Little causing me to back up reaching for a small knife I kept in the straps of my bags.

“Sorry BBBFF” Twilight had stepped up between Captain Armor and Little causing me to back off from my straps as she pointed a hoof towards me “This is Lily and yes Captain Little is right we were invited for brunch” she had defused a ticking time bomb but it became ticking again when he saw me.

“You! You’re the one the guards told me about in the frozen north!” he shouted causing Little to get in front of me as I placed a hoof on his wing.

“Little I can take care of myself” I walked past him looking at Captain Armor as I pushed my glasses up on my muzzle “Oh I would love to hear what they had to say about me but I am needed somewhere” I walked past him with Little following me and the rest leaving Twilight standing with him.

“Sweet skull go ahead of us and brew some tea I brought with me I’m going to need it” we were at the steps of the castle as Little got us past the other guards I turned to look at the red of my family as the small fillies jumping on to my back. “You all don’t need to come with me” I looked at Snow who shook her head as she wrapped a leg around my shoulder.

“Were not letting you go through this alone especially since you don’t have your armor” she let my head go as we all pooled into the throne room looking at the stain glass windows as Twilight came walking in along with a few other guards. Twilight had said a couple of things to the guards causing them to bow but I had slipped off down a long hallway that was always hidden from sight due to the throne was large enough to hide it from view. The hallway was one where they hung pictures and portraits of the ponies that helped build the castle. This was the one wing where I had my picture hung up. I walked past many pictures until I came to one where there was a painting in a silver frame of a couple one a dark black unicorn with a white mane pushed back and me with my mane tied up with flowers in the back as I wore a silver necklace with a crystal attached to it. Behind the painting were his ashes even though he had a headstone in the royal graveyard, I always could visit that but it has been many years since I visited his true resting place. A guard came to the end of the hallways calling me to the large meeting room where both Princesses were sitting at one end of the table along with Twilight and her friends; my family was sitting outside of the room except for Little who was a guard.

“This meeting is for our ears only” Celestia spoke up as I looked to the floor.

“Snow bring them in” I pushed the doors open allowing my family to enter “If I’m staying so are they.” I had looked at the Princess who had placed her cup down who gave a nod. Princess Luna was still half asleep when Sweet came in carrying a large tray of tea and the crystal fruit. Discord was hanging from the ceiling as I sat on the end of the table digging through my bags pulling out a large vase I had taken from the hallway.

“Lily is that and urn?” Twilight spoke up causing Luna to snap out of her stupor as I grabbed a crystal apple taking a bite from it while I gathered a few thoughts.

“So the book you have is in there?” Celestia spoke up and I shook my head.

“There is no book but in this urn lie ashes from Necro and my past.” I placed the book down as everypony got a shock as they tried the tea well except for my family. Twilight helped the princesses and her friends to doctor up their tea as I pulled out two large crystals from the urn before placing the urn on a shelf on the wall.

“Are these edible?” Captain Armor had poked a few grapes causing me to pick up a couple and stuffed them in his mouth as I was gathering the stuff from my bags and what I hid around the castle over the years.

“Okay now listen up because I do not know how long this crystal or the magic that flows through it will last.” I brought out a white crystal along with a family photo of me when I was little along with Sweet and Necro and fairy. Pinkie was staring at the picture of me and Sweet as Rarity was looking at the picture of me and Necro. With my magic I activated the crystal that was lying on the table causing all to be transported into another realm where the wind was warm even though we were far north. The blossoms were in full bloom and I was no taller than the Cutie Mark Crusaders are now. My brother was flying high into the air watching the earth ponies’ work on the crystals that were growing on vines that wrapped around sticks sticking from the ground.

“ROYAL!” my dad’s voice boomed out like an ocean causing him to jump from the cloud that caused him to laugh.

“Father!” my brother cried out as he landed on the ground. “Sorry I missed out on the day but I was seeing it the farm ponies needed water” he pointed to the farms below.

“That’s my boy but you need to go help your sister before the moon reaches the sky tonight” he rubbed my brother’s mane.

“But is it true grandfather is coming?” royal looked at his dad.

“Maybe now go!” he nudge Royal off into the sky. I was sitting on the ground round a couple of flowers as my magic revved up making them look good as new as Royal landed on the ground next to me.

“So what have you been working on?” My brother made me jump up causing the flower pedals to go everywhere, and as they land on the ground Royal could see I was gone. He looked up on a cloud saw me hanging from it.

“You’re lucky that Grandfather said you could walk on clouds!” Royal laughed as I let the cloud go before a dark shadow over head blocked out the sun “Now answer my question!” he shouted as the shadow had disappeared.

“I was working on a spell that would keep things alive for years to come and it keeps them young but it only last for about four to three years and it’s a onetime deal” I had made myself cozy on the cloud as Royal flew up landing next to me.

“So can it work on earth ponies and pegasi like me or even grandfather?” Royal looked down at me as I looked up at him.

“Why would grandfather need it I mean he’s already older than we are?” I was messing with my blue mane which was a solid color at the time.

“Well you think he miss us then?” he looked down at me as I looked towards the sky.

“Well I bet he will miss us, but let’s not worry about it” I pointed towards a large blue Alicorn who was flying around the sky with a long light blue mane that was braided along with a free flowing tail.

“He is early” Royal stood up and I jumped off the cloud we were laying on to another one below.

“Race ya!” I went running from cloud to cloud with my brother following me until I jumped from one cloud and landed on the back of my grandfather. His wings were a little bit extended from the shock as I noticed his cutie mark was that of an ocean with the wind wrapping around it.

“Why did you land on me Silver?” he turned his head to look at me as I smiled.

“You know excited they get when you come to visit dad.” My father placed me on the ground “Now Silver go practice your magic you need all the practice you can get tonight.” He nudged me off as I rolled my eyes. The crystal soon runs out of magic as the picture starts to fade.

“Sorry I have been looking at this one a lot when I can.” I pull the crystal placing it back into the urn “Now I can show you stuff from my memories but I don’t think someone will like it “I look up at discord who flew down hugging Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. He said nothing to stop me.

I flared my own horn up drawing on my memories and nightmares. I was sitting in the field practicing my spell as time flew on the sky was getting dark as my grandfather flew overhead out of the town. The moon wasn't up yet so I flared my horn one last time casting the spell on the flowers as my horn started to crack a bit causing sparks out of my horn sending me to the ground. I held my head in my hooves as I started to smell smoke and hearing screams. I turned to look at the town noticing flames flicking in the background as a laugh echoed while my brother ran towards me pushing me out of town.

“We need to go now!” he grabbed my tail pulling me behind him.

“Why!” we had just hit the barrier that kept the snow at bay.

“I don’t know what it was just something out of a fantasy book Silver now let’s go” I could hear the laughter as my brother pulled me along. We found a cave not too far from the town that was pretty well hidden from the snow. We made a small fire that would keep us warm for the night, we both feel asleep around it but I had only woke up the next morning. I poked and poked my brother but he never woke up. I pulled my brother as much as I could no longer than I buried him and placed a small stone their which I would swap out later. I show a memory of me being trapped by Sweet Meadow in the invisible cotton candy at our sweet shop along with the rainbow colored one. I showed an old memory of me and Necro working on the house along with me threating Blueblood. I had even showed them fairy as she was checking my mind out when I showed her the crystal food.

“My full name is Silver sky Lily member of the clan of Lil decedent of the skies and remaining clan of magic, and the noble maiden from the house of Skull Crystal. That is my name and Titles I have gained over the years of walking this earth.” Both Luna and Celestia had their jaws open along with everypony else.

Chapter Six

I turned to see what everyone was staring at me and I looked up at the memory I was showing and it was me and Necro holding Little in out hooves when he was younger and my ears went back.

“I KNEW IT!” he hit my shoulder as he growled at me.

“Wait if you knew why not tell me!”

“I was giving you hints mom!” he looked at me as I rubbed my head.

“I’m not good at taking hints.” I looked towards them all and cleared my throat as the memories faded.

“Why dose everypony look like their trying to capture a bunch of bugs?” I made them snap back to reality as Snow looked over at me.

“Grandmother”

“Oh don’t worry you are still family I had a daughter by the name of Star Meadow who was a very bright unicorn with a white coat and a multicolor blue mane like mine, she is the one who helped the princess start the school that is attached to the castle of today. I had another son who we named Noble Crystal he helped chart many of the towns and rivers that we know today as well as he brought back some of the lost knowledge, we taught them both how to use shadow and dark magic since it was a dying art, but since he had brother who was a Pegasus and so did I our first son ended up a Pegasus as well.” I smiled as Snow sighed and hugged me still.

“Can somepony explain me what dose Descendant of the skies mean!” Twilight shouted causing us to look at her as she almost did a Fluttershy and ducked under the table.

“It means she can walk among the clouds without a spell and manipulate the weather as well. It is a genetic thing so it can only be passed to mother and child or father and child.” My family looked towards one another.”

“So that’s how Grandma Lucy ended up at Cloudsdale!” Snow piped up causing me to smile.

“Oh yes and it also had a little help with magic. We were taking a nice long walk along the sky when we saw a city of clouds so we decided to take a look scaring a few Pegasus along the way. Well me being my paranoid self-found out that the princesses were visiting well I had teleported out of their leaving her behind. Oh she got the revenge on me, she died me rainbow one night and ended up in the show for three days straight trying to get those darn colors out I was ended up being called cotton candy!”

“So our kid will be able to walk on clouds?” Golden looked at her stomach as I shook my head.

“Yeah I found out since I was related to an Alicorn my Grandfather that was the reason I could walk along the clouds.

“Okay that’s all well and good but what about the other titles?” Celestia made me want to roll my eyes no work and all play makes her a dull pony!

“The clan of Lily was founded before the Princesses came to light. Back when the three tribes were still fighting and the unicorns took care of the sun and the moon. My clan was in charge of the stars along with the moon, we were in charge of the nightly weather along with the flowers. My family is made up of mostly unicorns and Pegasus and a couple of earth ponies as you can see here. But my clan name comes from the type of flower that would grow anywhere we would live. But as the magic goes it was the most recent title I had gain from my father and the town after I had gotten my cutie mark. There is an old story talking about a pony with my cutie mark holding large amounts of magic in their body. I was taught by elders and every gifted pony that has been out there. The last pony who taught me was Clover the cleaver and my husband Necro.” I took a sip from my cup as everypony was silent.

“Now the noble maiden comes long before Luna was Nightmare moon and before I even meet Necro and Sweet I was homing a few skills before I went and attacked Discord. There was this small village that had a young and inexperienced unicorn preforming dark magic and raised a couple of graveyards worth of dead. I took care of it all with my sword at my side I had just gotten the name Maiden the noble part came when I became a noble and helped build the Lunar mares and I kicked the Blueblood’s family flank a couple of times along with the a scholarship to help any pony who wanted to be a guard the Cherry Guard for the ponies who wanted to go into the Solar Stallions and the Crystal lunar guard for ponies who wanted to be Lunar guards” Rarity’s eyes were glistening as Armor jumped into the conversation.

“That’s what I got in school.” His ears went up as I smiled.

“Well Necro did spend a lot of time in the castle as I spent my skills helping train guards in the guard house. But poor Little here was so close to Luna like some of the other guards he was sent to the moon as well as she.” I placed my cup down and glanced around the room. Snow looked at me as I glanced at her “Snow why don’t you and the kids head home since Little has to get to his post.” I was stopped short as both Captain Armor and Little ran out of the room as Snow gathered the kids along with Grim and Sunflower left the castle as Sweet Skull went towards the kitchen as Sweet Night head towards the Library leaving me standing alone in the room with two princesses, Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy who was holding Discord, Rarity who was daydreaming.

“If anypony minds I’m taking a flight” I walked out into the throne room as I could hear Rainbow Dash and a few other laughing as I stood outside the door as the crystal hanging from my neck started to glow causing the wind to whip around me hiding me from all the eyes that were on me as my body changed a bit. The wind had died down revealing that had no longer had a horn but I had a pair of wings as my coat was a bright white with a dark blue mane and tail along with a cutie mark of a star with a pair of wings behind it. I think I could hear Rainbow Dash’s jaw drop against the table. I spread my wings open as I took a running start before kicking off into the air leaving everypony in my wake. I didn’t even notice when they all came running out of the castle. I was already high up into the air to the point I could see all of Equestria and the curvature of the land and the hills along with the mountains. I had closed my wings as I left myself drop. All my thoughts all my tensions just melt away as I reached the roof tops I spread my wings out wide and went soaring around until a light blue blur zoomed by me with a rainbow trail following behind it.

“One are you crazy! And two Race me!!!” her eyes were as wide as dinner plates as I laughed at her before taking off towards the castle.

“HEY WAIT” she raced after me having a trouble time keeping up as I took a quick sharp dive down thought some cloud which gave me the perfect cover as I fell into a pond below. I popped my head out looking up at the sky as I pulled my glasses from my mane which I had picked up from Pinkie Pie back on to my muzzle as I pulled myself out of the pond and onto dry land as I noticed I was in the gardens surrounded by different types of plants but one caught my eye it was in the shape of a star as I walked over to it a question I been meaning to ask had popped into my head. I walked along a couple of plants before I found myself back at the castle staring at a dark ebony Alicorn with a bright blue mane with stars sitting in front of a small white round table reading a black covered book with no markings what so ever on the cover.

“Are you going to come out or should I drag you out?” she was looking in my direction as I walked out of the bushes over towards her. “I thought you be flying?” she placed her book in front of her head as I shook my head.

“Nope though I thought I could give Ms. Dash a good workout” I looked up into the sky as I saw Rainbow zooming by looking for me.

“I can see that” she had placed her book down as I looked over at her.

“Can ponies be made from the stars?” I spoke my mind without even thinking what she would say to me I held my breath as she gave this weird look as all ponies I ask that question to.

“Hmmm that is a rather though question but no they cannot be made from the stars, why do you ask?” she moved a bit closer to me.

“Just something I wanted to ask Princess”

“Please do call me Luna and it’s good to meet the pony who made that old pony Necro smile.” My eyes widen as I look at her.

“He told you about me!” I shouted as the color ran from my coat as I looked at her with a shock of horror on my face.

“Well I can’t be your only friend I mean how about Fairy wings she should still be around right?” I had sat down as my color slowly returned as I could hear a lighting cloud got off in the distance and I smiled to myself. Rainbow must of found the trap jail cell I had made from clouds.

“Fairy Wings?” she was rubbing her chin as I smacked my head, of course she wouldn’t know Fairy wings she was infected by Discord’s magic when she returned home.

“Sorry I meant she was Fairy wings until she got home then she turned into Chrysalis after discord’s magic got to her.”

“Oh it’s been a very long time since I heard that name.” Luna had stood up as I looked out into the sky as I felt the time was passing me again but it always has never slowing down for me but yet I look like time has stopped way back when. She left her book on the table near the castle as we took a walk through the gardens discussing the past and some of the conversation that Necro and she spent talking to teach other while I spent my time training guards and other ponies on how to defend themselves. The sun was low in the evening as Little came walking up to us since it was almost time for Luna to take over for the night and to tell me that Snow had set my old room up for the night.

I exited the gardens and I noticed Celestia was standing on her balcony with Twilight at her side giving me this odd glare as I left the grounds. I felt shivers run up my spine as I walked towards the noble district on my own. Many ponies were glaring a couple of old ones were whispering to the younger ones I bet about the stories or rumors they have heard over the years. I came up to the house as I walked over the main gateway I was greeted by the three smallest members of my family as Snow stood in the door way.

“Here I thought you would stay with Sweet Skull in the castle. Now young ones get inside you have school in the morning.” She held the door open for me as I followed them up the stairs they went off towards the side rooms I headed for the middle one with the dark willow wood door with a flower wrapped around a Skull engraved in the middle. The paint has faded from it as I pushed it open, hearing the creaking from the iron hinges. I bet this door hasn’t opened in a very long time, but I could tell Snow cleaned the dust off everything and clean the sheets for me. I walked around the room and saw my black bladed sword with a white crystal in the middle near the hilt which is worn out. My armor was hanging on the wall with three small dulled crystals in the breast plate; I was smiling to myself as I ran a hoof over it. My silver and blue wedding band was sitting on the dresser on the opposite wall of my armor. I could never bring myself to wear it after he died so I left. I pulled myself up on the bed with a large white comfiture with green leaves all over it underneath a couple of lilies. I closed my eyes and let the sleep wash over me.

My dreams were of the past yet again I was sitting in the library with my two youngest kids teaching them how to speak in old Unicorn, Pegasi, and Earth pony while Necro was sitting in a chair smoking a pipe as he read the newspaper. He was worried about our oldest Little since he was away in the academy training to be a guard. I walked over towards him and gave him a peck on the cheek making him smile as he placed the newspaper down on the table beside him he walks over towards the children and gave them both hugs as he took over playing with them as I went to prepare some afternoon tea. “A happy family is a good family and a good family is a well feed family! Remember Silver no matter what type of family you have you will always bond over food and tea” I could hear my mother words echo in my head as I was preparing some tea. I was standing in the kitchen listing to the sounds of laughter turn into the sounds of shouting.

The scene had disappeared as my eyes open while I’ll rolled off the bed landing on the floor with a loud thump since I was tangled up in the blanket from the bed. After spending some time detangling myself I walked out of the room my mane still a mess and my mood not to well since I didn’t have my morning tea. I noticed that Snow was standing outside with Ocean and Sunflower shouting at what looks like Blueblood and some guards standing behind him.

“How in the world did that pompous windbag get ahold of an immortal spell?” I shouted kicking the main door open walking down the pathway as all eyes are on me.

“Grandma please meet Prince Blueblood the eighth” Snow had introduce me to the stallion standing there as my eye twitched a bit “How did that bucking prick find a mate!” I thought to myself as I shook my head.

“Can I help you so early in this bloody morning?” I growled at him as Snow walked off as Sweet Skull came walking out as well as Sweet Night.

“Why yes I wish to buy both your properties as since they been here for so long I can use this land to build something that Canterlot so desperately needs” he was cut short as he spotted Sweet Skull walking out with her gold necklace on and her mane all done up.

“Grandma what’s wrong?” she placed her hoof on my shoulder as I smiled.

“Nothing dear go to work oh and use some of tea I left behind for the princess I have a very bad feeling this morning.” I turn to look at Blueblood as I got between him and Sweet.

“Sorry boy their not for sale none of the houses in this district are! And if you dare touch my granddaughter” I grabbed him by his collar pulling him down “I will kick your flank like I kicked Blueblood the first flank!” I shouted at him as I turned to look at the golden covered guards “And do not thing your little babysitters will help you when dealing with me” I had let him go as he brushed his coat off his temper rising as I turned my back he stomped his hoof on the ground. I turned around noticing his face was a deep red color.

“I say madam you do not half to be so RUDE! You’re almost asking for a fight or a battle” that made me smile as my family member backed off from him with their ears laid flat against their head.

“What if I am?”

“Then madam we shall fight and if I win I get your houses”

“And if I win you stay away from my family!” I stomped my hoof down on the ground “We fight in the guards training area in the castle bring your family and I will bring mine at noon!” I walked into the house leaving everypony out on the lawn as I walked into my room pulling the armor off the wall causing dust to fly everywhere. I placed my leg guards on along with my helmet and my breast plate, I had chosen the armor I had been named the Maiden and the Noble Maiden in to try and give him a good old history lesson. I pulled my black blade from the wall was I walked down the stairs with everypony staring at me as my mane stuck out through my helmet as my eyes had a fiery glare in them.

“You got ready fast Grandma” Snow was looking me up and down as I smiled.

“Well we should go get the training area ready for that pompous blank flank!” I was trying my best to keep my cursing on a low profile since there were little ears listing and standing around.

“Shouldn’t you three be in school?” I looked down at them as Snow picked them up.

“We always drop them off when we pick up little” they walked out of the door as I grabbed a cloak wrapping it around myself to keep hidden while we walked down the streets towards the castle. Apparently in this day and age guards don’t like it when ponies just walk down the street in armor that weren’t apart of the guards, I swear things change to much for me over the years.

We noticed Little was standing on the side walk giving us some odd looks as Snow walks off into another direction with the kids as Little walks up to me “The Solar guards are talking about a unicorn challenging Celestia’s Nephew Prince Blueblood to a fight they’ve got the guards training grounds all set up and the princesses along with the Elements of Harmony and Discord are going to be there.” He glares at me as I give him a simple smile.

“He was gawking at Sweet and trying to buy the house so we made a little bet that I can’t lose” I walked past him as he followed me into the castle. The area was packed with guard ponies along with the princesses and even a pink Alicorn with a candy color mane sitting next to Captain Armor. I didn’t see the darn Blueblood as I walked into the middle of the arena placing my sword into the ground keeping my cloak over me as Rarity had popcorn in front of her and Pinkie Pie as Twilight had a scroll out ready to take notes as Rainbow and Applejack were taking bets with Pinkie Pie as Fluttershy was hiding under Discord. Blueblood then came walking in with his family all behind him as they got situated on the other side of the area I could see he was wearing all white and special hood being held by another pony.

“Oh look she too afraid to even be seen” he was laughing at me until I pulled the cloak off me revealing my armor along with the sword that was sitting in front of me. I had made him shut up at least once in the entire time I meet him.

“WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?!” he shouted out loud as he back away from me as Celestia stood up clearing her throat as causing all eyes on her.

“Ladies and Gentelcolts were are here to witness a fight between my dear Nephew and the long live legend the Noble Maiden, now Ms. Lily times have changed and all fight are done with horn fencing” this made me scratch my head.

“What?”

“I will explain later but today you are challenging Blueblood so you may pick how to fight.”

I picked up my sword in my magic as I stomped my hoof on the ground “I choose to fight with my sword!” I shouted as she smiled as another pony walking out holding a couple of weapons in there magic a few of them were swords and another was a mace.

“Now Nephew please pick your weapon and choose wisely because you are fighting the one pony who has made and set the training standers for all the royal guards” Celestia had sat back down making Blueblood eye twitch as he picked a mace holding it in his magic as the pony that was holding his weird helmet walked back towards the sidelines.

“Ready?” I spoke to him as he held the mace up looking at it oddly.

“Well I guess so?” he held it up as I grabbed my sword again in my magic as I took a fighting stance with him holding up the mace his eye twitching.

“KILL HIM!” I heard Rarity yelled out before Captain Armor got to his hooves “FIGHT!” I took that like a pop on a starting line. I took off after him with my sword staying at my side until I got close and then I swung it with all my might only to get block by Blueblood on his luck blocking stance which was him cowering behind the mace.

“GET UP AND FIGHT YOU SISSY!” I shouted as I backed off placing my sword in the ground “If you like I can only use my hooves” this made him very happy.

“Sure why not”

While he stood confident with his mace I went running after him sliding to a halt as I pivoted on my front two hooves I took my back two and bucked him as hard as I could into the wall behind us. The training area we were in had an open roof so the sun could shine down but there were walls holding up the seats that the ponies were sitting in and Blueblood landed between the seats creating a large creator in the wall. I could hear Applejack howling with laughter along with Rainbow Dash and Rarity as I saw Twilight taking notes.

“Dang girl if I knew you could do that I have you bucking apples!” Applejack was impressed but Blueblood had managed to pull himself out of the wall dropping the mace as he staggered back on to the battle field causing me to sigh.

“Alright I’m going to end this now oh and Blueblood I win” I took off again faking to my right coming up on his left casting a flying spell on him I bucked him into the air sending him flying out of the training ground causing the crowed to be in awe and shock as I walked to my sword putting it back in its protection case on my back as Rarity was giving me the only clapping hooves in the whole entire stadium.

“SOMEPONY GO FIND HIM!” Little shouted out as Applejack walked over to me as Rainbow Dash flew up into the air giving a loud whistle before flying to the ground.

“That was some good bucking”

“So where did he land Rainbow?” I looked at her and she smiled.

“Whitetail woods” she rolled over laughing on the ground along with Rarity as Celestia walked up to me as I looked up at her.

“Well that was good an all but next time please do not send my nephew no matter how much he deserves it to the whitetail woods again.” She had walked off leaving me with Applejack and Rarity as Rainbow dash was still howling on the ground.

“I do hope that puts stick in his mud” Rarity was pushing her mane back as I heard a low deep rumbling from all out stomachs.

“Well how about breakfast on me? And you can come to Discord” I looked around and noticed Fluttershy and him were gone until he pops in beside us.

“That was a good fight and food sounds wonderful.”

I gather Twilight who was with Princess Luna so I had invited her as well to breakfast. We had decided on a café that was new on the other side of town but it was a nice day for a stroll even in heavy armor. As we were walking I kind of noticed something which was that Rainbow and Pinkie pie were close as Fluttershy was with Discord and Rarity was with Applejack. I thought Twilight was missing out but I knew well she had eyes to Celestia. I kept walking with Luna down the streets getting glares at the younger nobles but the older ones started talking about the old old stories about me. I really didn't care at this point it was too early in the bloody morning and I needed food. We arrived at the Golden Pegasus and the waiter that was working the door got an eye full as he was staring at a princess with two ponies in armor one carrying a sword on her back.

“May we have a table please?” I went towards the waiter as he took one glance at my sword as he sighed.

“Sorry but no weapons please.” I walked out on to the street causing Luna to walk out after me.

“Let’s head to my house I can cook and old world food.” I was rubbing my head until I saw a large blue object flying towards the castle causing a few Pegasus to stop working for a moment. I looked around the sky for a low hanging cloud allowing me to access some of the higher ones. I started to cloud hop as I could hear Snow telling the young ones not to do what I was doing. I let go of the cloud as it sent me soaring into the sky, the wind blowing past me it it felt like I had wings real wings. It had been years since I did that, my dad would always yell at me and Royal when he would sling shot me into the air as I would land into the pond below, this time I landed on a large cloud. I had spooked some Pegasus as I was hopping from one cloud to another leaving Snow standing their hoof-planting her face.

"GRANDMA!" she shouted at me as I ran towards the castle not hearing them anymore. I suspected they had followed me on the ground and some from the air. The large blue object was standing in the castle gardens along with Princess Celestia. I backed up to the edge of the cloud I was standing on as I got a running start even if it was short area. I jumped over the castle walls landing on all fours as I looked up as a large blue Alicorn was standing in front of me with long flowing light blue mane and tail.

"GRANDFATHER!"

The large Alicorn turned his head towards me as I could see his mane was still braided as his tail had gotten longer which was spread out on the ground like a spilt glass of water. I stood there forgetting that I had my armor on still and the guards were on high alert not of me but of the dark blue Alicorn sitting in the gardens.

“Lily!” the voice of the princess made me look up at her as she came walking out of the castle with a pair of guards at either side “I thought you were at breakfast with my sister?” she kept standing as she walked up to us.

“I was but” I turned my head up at him as he placed a wing around my back.

I looked up at him as he removed my wing from my back as he moved down to my head as the others came running into the gardens causing my grandfather to move his head up as I felt something off about him.

"Cine sunt aceste ponei?" (Who are these ponies?) He glanced down at me as I held a hoof out causing them the halt as I bowed to him.

He was a bit taller as I turned to them and the Princesses as I cleared my throat out.

“Family and friends meet my grandfather Neptune Ace, Aerial Ace, or Ocean Blue. He goes by many names I can’t keep track of them.” I rubbed my head as he sat down over in front of Princess Celestia as I turned back to face him.

“My common rusty” he had his braided mane handing low over half of his face at this point as I could still feel a cold and very uneasy feeling from him, since the fur on the back of my neck stood up on ends as Snow moved to my right along with Sunflower. As he was sitting in front of Princess Celestia keeping silent, I finally came under the weight of my armor and fell the ground causing my family and my friends to jump to their hooves running after me.

“I’m fine!” I pushed myself up as Snow pressed her body up against my side.

“Let got pick up the kids early while your grandfather talks to the princesses” she pushed me towards the entrance of the gardens “I’ll bring her back later” Snow had turned around winking at her husband “Just send somepony by the house.” We disappeared out of sight as Rarity and Fluttershy walked with us down the streets of Canterlot towards the preschool which wasn’t far from the castle. Snow stayed on one side as we entered the building; I noticed that the walls were covered in art that the kids would draw during the day. We walked towards the back of the school to the last room on the right with the numbers ‘33’ on the frosted glass as Snow pushed it open causing a few of the kids to gasp at the sight of me in my armor but mine just simply shouted with glee. After picking the kids up we meet up with Little who was standing in the middle of the noble district holding his spear in his hooves.

“Little?” I walked up to him as he patted his kid’s heads before looking up at me.

“The Princesses are calling you and the elements to the castle.” Snow had kept walking as Fluttershy and Rarity took over and walked with me as I made my blade visible getting this gut feeling I might need it. Ponies were staring again as we made it to the gardens Celestia had a very good poker face but I could tell something was wrong.

“Silver….Tree dead” my grandfather was trying his best to speak common around me and had broken the awful silence causing me to take a few moments and I had just lost it.

“I HAD JUST COME FROM TOWN!! IT WAS ALIVE AND WELL!" I shouted as I tried to keep my sanity.

"Vrei să-mi un SILVER mincinos!" (Are you calling me a Liar SILVER!)he stomped his hoof on the ground as his voice echoed in the distance causing everything to go silent again.

"nu, domnule" (No Sir) I looked down at the ground again as he moved over towards me wrapping his wing around me as his head came close to my ear.

I felt my legs go cold as stone as I swear I saw a brown mouse with a pair of bright yellow eyes and a small straggle tooth coming from its mouth. My vision started to fade as I fell into his arms as the world became black, I could still feel his feathers from his wings until it was replaced by grass. I could hear everypony else scream my name till all becomes quiet and black. I was standing on the highest mountain in Equestria watching the ground become long think green ribbons as the trees gained brown ones, the clouds gained a light blue with a silver tint as the Pegasus gained a light teal green. The earth ponies gained a bright orange and the unicorns gained silver ribbons depending on the amount of magic they have they were either large or small. I saw three bright yellow ribbons two sitting in Canterlot and one in the crystal empire. The crystal empire had a large pink ribbon wrapping around it as Canterlot had a mixture of silver and orange, the dragons had a dark green and the Griffons had a white one. I saw black wrapping around the wastelands or the badlands and a dark blue to a light blue running from the frozen north along the ground connecting to the moon and sun fading. I had looked up and saw the sun and moon with two orange ribbons but one had a silver tint and the other had a dark red to it. I felt something was off as I stood on the mountain I could feel something or somepony was with me as I slowly turned my head I could see about ten faint different ribbons standing behind me that was until the scenery changes into an ocean one.

I started to struggle as I felt something weighing me down and I started to struggle as I conjured my magic firing it off causing me to wake up to a large black spot on the ceiling as I pulled my head out of the water noticing eight ponies one dragon and a draconics standing around a large massive tub as Rarity was holding my armor and Applejack was trying to hold up my sword by herself.

“She awake” Discord was looking at me as I spit a fountain of water at him as I was trying to get some air into my lungs.

“What in bloody blazes happen” I draped my body over the edge of the tub.

“You blacked out after your grandfather said something to you Lily” Celestia was looking at me oddly as Fluttershy was at my side rubbing my back.

“Okay”

“So what kind of magic were you casting? I mean I never knew things had ribbons?” Twilight was scratching her head as my eyes went wide as I looked over at her.

“Its and old magic Twilight” I placed my hoof on my head as I pulled myself out of the tub as a large towel was draped over me.

“It’s celestial magic” Celestia spoke before walking out of the bathroom with Twilight following her as I looked over towards Applejack who was struggling with my sword as I picked up with my mouth as Rarity walked out with my armor in tow.

“Now I know how you could buck that darn noble so hard” I placed the sword on my back as I looked at her as she stretched a bit.

Rainbow picked up Applejack as they left the room leaving me with Luna who picked me up with her magic and carried me through the door along after them.

“I can walk!” I shouted in frustration as she placed me on her bed as I glanced up at her.

“What?” she pulled the curtains open as I noticed the moon was high into the sky as I sighed rubbing my head.

“I was out for half a day huh?” I got off the bed landing on my hooves onto the cold marble as I flared my horn up causing sparks to light the towel unfire as I feel to the floor in pain gripping my horn.

“WHAT THE!” I screamed causing Luna and the guards to come running in as she was kicking the towel out leaving nothing but a large pile of ash and smoke.

“I’m going to go get a doctor” She placed me on the bed again as I buried my face into one of the plush pillows as I gaze up out of the window watching the stars twinkle in the night as the windows fly open and I could hear them singing as I close my eyes to the sound of hooves against the cold stone. I knew something was wrong it was my magic something was blocking it redirecting it. I stood on the mountain again all the ribbons laid out for me as I placed my hoof on my own a silver and gold ribbon with a dark blue edge on it. I pulled it up with my own hoof as it turned into crumbs fading before me. This is it my last year on this land? My last year to live as others die before me? I placed my hoof down on the ground as I look up into the sky looking at the sun and the moon “Ask not the sun why she sets, why she shrouds her light moving or why she hides her glow when the night turns crimson grim” I had started singing an old song that the towns ponies would sing during the war between Celestia and Luna, a war that injured Necro and sent Little away and left me picking up many pieces “For the silence falls the guilty sun as the day turns to dark, one simple truth she dare not speak her light can only blind and burn” it was a song that you heard on the days when the sun would be blazing to the point plants would catch fire and many would be treated for burn wounds. I could feel the hooves of the doctors on my coat as I just sat there on the edge of the mountain.

“That song I swear I heard it before” Luna’s voice pieced my own thoughts. I smiled to myself as I opened my eye looking at her noticing my horn was wrapped in a bandage. The lights were on and I could tell her room was decorated in a dark marble or stone floor as the walls were painted a dark blue with stars lining the wall with bookcases full of books and scrolls.

“It was a song popular during the battle between you and your sister.” I watched her as she took her regalia off as I gave her an odd look.

“What about night court?” I sat up in the bed as she turned her head to me.

“I canceled it tonight plus it’s a weekend” I felt dumb not evening knowing what day it was well that and their all just one long day for me “So was their ever a meaning to that song or was it just made because of my rage?” she pulled a pillow over to her.

“The sun had turned her back upon the moon keeping it in the cold dark, but when the moon turns crimson with rage the sun finally acts but it’s too late scars are left both on the moon and the sun and even though everything is fine on the surface the wounds and the scars are left emotionally and nothing is ever the same again between the sun and the moon.” I was looking at her as her eyes became misty.

“Luna” I wanted to change the topic for her.

“Yes?”

“Can you tell me about the stars?” It was a stupid question when I spoke it but I wanted to know about them.

“What about them?”

“Can they ever sing?”

“Back to this huh? Well I never know because I talk to the moon only the stars are already there and their light is just blocked out by the sun’s own light making them hard to see during the day.” From that moment on we spent the early evening talking about the stars until she fell asleep holding her pillow. I placed a blanket over Luna as I walked out of the bedroom running into Little. I poked at his armor threating him to keep his mouth shut about tonight. He helped me sneak my armor from Rarity who was sleeping with the other in a large room and to steal my weapon from Applejack. I was standing in the throne room feeling like a pair of eyes was on me that wasn’t the guards that were in the room. I pulled the bandage off my horn as I placed my armor on as I swung my sword onto my back as I exited the castle. The train wasn’t running anymore for the night so I took the only route I knew straight off the cliff.

I walked towards the back of the city changing from a unicorn to a Pegasus on the way as I took a running start as I jumped from the edge spreading my wings out breaking up a few clouds as I get adjusted to the altitude I needed to be too catch the right air current that would send me over towards Unicorn Ridge where I could follow the tracks up north. I caught the right current as it sent me flying over a couple of small little forest and houses. So many houses and farms lining the hills and from this high up into the air they all look like small earth stars. I found myself flying over Unicorn Ridge in no time and I landed in a clearing as I pulled a cloak out from under my armor. I looked towards the north and then back to Canterlot, I had his awful feeling in my gut.

“I’m sorry Luna and everypony else but I need to do this on my own” I said my goodbyes from the area before heading into the forest out of sight of the moon and the stars.

Chapter Nine

Chapter Seven

I had dropped my Pegasus form a while back in the forest as I exited right near the train tracks with the Smokey Mountains standing right in front of me and the city of Tall Tale in the far distance. I pulled myself up onto the tracks as I started heading towards the city. Tall Tale was mostly known for its tall buildings that seemed like they helped held the sky up, some say they were here when humans lived long before the princesses or any ponies for the matter of fact. I came walking into the city pulling a cloak out of my armor not even noticing the small little brown ball falling to the ground as I continued on. I wrapped the cloak around me so if any pony from Canterlot had put any wanted posters out on me or something that would force me back. I kept on walking along the tracks missing the conductors by an inch as I followed the tracks out of the city and around the mountains that made up Unicorn ridge. I followed the tracks up to the Galloping Gorge and beyond. This area was surrounded by forest and step hills giving anypony or anything a good cover or an attack.

My ears had perked up causing me to glance back towards the line of trees, as my hoof reached up towards the hilt of my sword as a black and green blur tackles me causing both of us to go rolling backwards like a runaway wheel. My sword is left on the ground where this blur had tackled me leaving me weaponless and pretty sore. I glanced up noticing the glowing green eyes were from goggles and a large cotton candy pink mane is sticking out on top of this black rubber pony. I kick the pony off of me as I sat up staring at whatever or whoever attacked me

“Cine ești tu!” (WHO ARE YOU!) I shouted at the pony or something my magic at the ready.

“FOUNDHERFOUNDHERIFOUNDHER!!!” the pony jumped up and down bouncing like the ground was made from a trampoline.

“Pinkie” was the only pony that came to mind since she was the most random mare and could only bounce like she had ten cups of coffee.

“Yeppers!” she took the mask off as she sat there in front of me as I stood up walking over towards my sword picking it off the ground.

“How did you find me?” I grabbed her by her suit as she smiled.

“Little told us” she sounded happy he told her.

“No he wouldn’t”

“Yeshedidandhedidn’ttellmeseehetoldRarityandTwilightbecauseTwilightheldhiminhermagicwhileRaritygavehimamakeoverbecausenothingwasworkingbecausewhateveryousaidmadehimreallyscaredbutwhenCelestiatoldhimabouttakinghismagicawaythatgothimscareepsicallywhenLunajoinedin”she suddenly stopped as I placed my hoof in her mouth.

“Of course he wouldn’t tell you I threaten him the only way I know how I would trap him in the shadows and he would only be let out when I die or when I got back!” I removed my hoof as I started towards the north again.

“He wait for us!” she shouted causing me to stop.

“Us?” I looked at her.

“I told you that Pinkie was part blood hound princess” I could hear Rainbow Dash’s voice as she came out following Princess Luna and my ears dropped and I could hear Necro’s voice screaming in my head.

“Hi Princess” I kept my ears flat against my head as she walked up to me giving me a disapproving look.

“So where are the others?” I fell to my flank as she stayed standing in front of me.

“With my sister heading to the Crystal Empire, they’re going to wait for us there” she walked past me without doing anything to me.

“Luna?” I turned to her as she spun around her wings were fluffy like Opal’s coat when Rarity tries to hug her.

“DO NOT LUNA ME!” she shouted making Rainbow Dash and Pinkie pie huddle together behind me “You and I spent hours talking Lily, buck you’re the only pony that I knew back then that is still alive and you come running off towards danger and what could be the end of your LIE!” my hears were still against my head as well as my heart was sinking low in my chest. I knew I had friends but within the short time frame I spent around Luna I didn’t know that she felt this way.

“I didn’t get to see any of my friends pass or say goodbye to them Lily.” She walked over to me as she wrapped her wings around me “I do not want to lose that connection” she hat tears coming from her eyes as I hung my head.

“Sorry but I didn’t want to drag anypony into this” I stood up stomping my hoof to the ground as she started laughing.

“I wouldn’t have stopped you but I could have made sure that Applejack and Rarity had given you, your real armor and sword” I looked up at her as my armor had pop out of existence leaving my knife on the ground along with my cloak. “My magic goes along when you walk under my moon.”

I stared back at my body feeling like I just had the ground pulled out from under my hooves as I turned back to look at her. “Now why did you bring them?” I pointed towards Rainbow Dash and Pinkie pie.

“I needed somepony who could fly fast and somepony who could handle artillery as Twilight put it.” I took my eyes off them as I looked over at Luna.

“Artillery?”

“Yep she means my PARTY CANNON!” Pinkie had large blue cannon with bright pink wheels as she was smiling with Rainbow Dash backing away.

“I’m sorry I asked.” I started walking away until Luna had stopped me with her wing pulling me back.

“Look you need our help Lily”

“I can do this on my own.” She had forced me to look up at her.

“Lily for many years you have done things by yourself or with somepony else but now you need our help. Listen you are so much like me when I came back from the moon. Yes so much has changed for me and I never got to see it like you did but there is one thing we have in common.”

“Oh and what is that?” as I asked her that I could hear Pinkie setting off her cannon sending Rainbow flying past us.

“We hide in the shadows. You may keep you past in the distance keeping it far from you as for me I’m constantly running from it. When ponies find out about your past you keep them close afraid of losing them, because of an enemy looking for you or something worse. When they find out about my past the run from me never to speak to me again and they complain to my sister, which I’m tired of it and I’m glad you came along because you knew me back then when I was at my best and when I was at my worst and I like that.” She was making me blush because no pony has ever told me that. But she was right I always kept the ponies close to me who knew about my past.

“I think we should be going now before the others worry” I starting walking forward as Pinkie put her cannon up as she went over to Rainbow who was covered in cake and frosting. I glanced up at the moon as I flared my horn up my magic turning a light blue I was able to clean Rainbow off and to create a path that was full of small little fairies and tall mushrooms and flowers that were glowing a bright blue, pink and purples causing everypony to stop and gawk at path I had created I even made Pinkie Pie to stop bouncing.

“As Cherry blossom fall from the tree, the moon will be bright as be, the ponies will laugh the ponies will laugh as thee.” As I started singing as the edge of the path was line with cherry blossom trees with pieces of white paper tied to the branches “When the cherry blossoms fall from the tree, the crystal will glow bright as glee, as the magic flows free, causing everything be fine as thee” The moon’s light became brighter as my mane and tail started to glow as a small crescent moon appeared over my cutie mark.

“Lily you’re glowing!” Pinkie shouted as I snapped back to reality causing everything to disappear.

“Oh yeah well it happens every time I sing that song”

“What is that song by the way?” Luna was rubbing her chin

“It was a song that we sung during the full moon.”

“Wait you actually celebrated the moon?” Rainbow was flying overhead as I gave her a nod.

“The sun was always there to light the day but the moon was there as well. The sun helped plants grow but the moon helped the crystal plants grow better and was always the best time to practice magic.” I was flared up my horn as I created another world this one with small multiple colored orbs dancing around as I was pulled into a hug by Luna as she wrapped her wings around me squealing like a school mare.

“No pony back then has loved my night and only my sister and student can show me what the night can bring to ponies now” she kissed my head as I turned a deep red as Rainbow was laughing as Luna suddenly looks up into the sky.

“What’s wrong Luna” I looked up at her.

“The song you added to it, it matched up with the stars twinkling.” She had let me go as I looked at her.

“Yeah it was great!” Pinkie Pie was bouncing up and down as I scratched my head.

“I didn’t add any song to my magic” I had made them stop even made Pinkie stop in midair “What did it sound like?”

“dunha dunha duhduhduhduhduuuddduh dunha” Pinkie was trying her best to copy the song she was describing to me.

“ohhhhh yeah I know that song, it’s from the stars” I pointed up to the sky.

“The stars?” they all looked at me as I sighed feeling like an idot.

“I can hear them sing and they were singing Rainy days stormy days lightning crashes overhead wind whips around thunder blasts down gales roar panic soars nature clashes with itself time will calm this war. See the sky hear its cry teardrops falling to the ground color has fled grayness has spread flee this place flee this place sadness leaking overhead time will soothe this war. It’s a song the stars sing but only they sing it on rainy days” I had made them look like they were all in shock as I rubbed my head again.

“Okay one were burning light here we should really be going.” I started walking forwards as Luna looked at me “Do you even know where you’re going?”

“Yes”

“No” I had never been to the Crystal Empire I had only been to the train station that was situated outside of the empire. Luna was staring at me as I through my hooves up in the air.

“Fine you win!” she smiled as the others gathered around as her horn flared up and we were gone in a light blue flash as we reappeared somewhere that had smooth blue walls that sparkled with the light of torches as flags hung from the wall with a crystal blue heart and an armor with stars around it as well. I stumbled around as Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie walked off leaving me alone in the room with the same pink Alicorn from the fight with Blueblood who was sitting with Celestia and Luna.

“Auntie Luna!” she was hyper almost to the point I thought she would turn into Pinkie Pie.

“Aww Cadance is my sister here?” she went to hug the pink Alicorn as she nodded before looking over at me.

“You must be the unicorn that fought prince Blueblood.” She had walked over towards me as I moved closer to Luna a bit.

“Yes and he started it” I thought I saw the direction the Rainbow and Pinkie went and I decided to follow hoping to find them but I found another pony I didn’t want to see, Blueblood. He had a black eye and a few bandages wrapped around his legs. He looked up at me and his face went into a twisted horror.

“YOOOOOU! How dare they let a barbarian like you in a place like this” he stomped his hoof which was weak.

“Let me guess they found you further from Whitetail then they said.” I had a smug look on my face mocking him.

“Yes now I do hope I don’t see you again”

“To bad I’m staying in the castle”

“They let you.. a barbaric muddy unicorn” he started laughing which gave me the upper hoof. I spun on my front legs and I bucked him again thought a pair of wooden doors and into a book case.

“YOU DARE CALL ME A BARBARIC MUDDY UNICORN AGAIN YOU POMPUS WUSS I WILL KNOCK BACK INTO TIME!” I shouted causing the guards to pull their spears at me. “Oh how lovely.” I said sarcastically before they tackled me to the ground.

Chapter Eight

I had ended up down in the prisoner cells for a couple of hours which wasn’t bad I mean the cells were pretty large with crystals growing on walls which gave me time to practice some of my magic. I was brought up out of the cells to be brought in front of Celestia and Cadence, who were waiting for me in the throne room. I could hear them chatting about something as I came up to the doors and they were still chatting about something as Rarity was sitting between them joining in on the conversation. I had slipped out of the cuffs that were around my hooves and I had notices two kinds of balconies one was a large one for maybe ceremonies and the other was a small one located on the other wall out of the limelight. I had slipped past them all as I walked out on to the smaller balcony looking at the city below. I curled up into a ball with my back against the conversation as I looked out towards the distance, with me being this close to the tree I could feel the magic draining from it.

“Where did she go?” I could hear one pony behind me yell out as I turned my head and it was Cadence as her wings were up in alert. I laid my head down on the balcony as I pulled out my small blue crystal and I started rolling it along the floor.

“What should I do?” I asked the crystal.

“Why not come and talk to us?” I looked up to see Celestia sitting in the door way.

“You’re going to lock me up I already know it” I sat up to look at her face to face, well I tried for her being so tall.

“What makes you think that?” she had moved from the door way letting me walk in as I saw guards running around like chickens with their heads cut off from a fox attack.

“I sent your nephew flying through another wall and into another.” I had walked over to where they were sitting earlier as Celestia sat in front of me.

“Auntie Tia we can’t” Cadence stops short as she notices I was sitting next to Celestia.

“Just wait until you hear what we half to say Lily” she had walked over towards a guard who saluted and left the room. He came back after a little bit with Cadence, Captain Armor and the others following him into the room.

“So what did you pick” my ears were half way down as the others came walking up to us two guards one an earth pony the other a unicorn came on either side of me causing me to back up a bit.

“We chose for you to be guarded and for at least one week you must stay here in the empire so we can better ready ourselves” Celestia had looked over at me as I kicked the ground.

“Fine but I want my armor and sword” I forced my ears up as I looked up at Celestia.

“We can deal with that and you must not change into a Pegasus and fly from the guards” she had caused the others to be a bit confused as I gave her a nod.

“Deal”

Twilight and the others told me they would be back in a couple of days to help Princess Cadence with some sort of games. I really didn’t understand since I was too busy looking over my armor which I suspect Rarity had changed something about. I didn’t spend much time in the castle as the guards would of like, I spent it half of it in the library reading books on the history and about the different spells that I had never seen or heard before. The other had spent kicking the guard’s flank and getting them in shape. I had to be pulled out of the arena by Twilight’s brother since I had sent the whole entire guard to the hospital. The day had come when Princess Celestia and Luna came back to the empire with a hoof full of guards had followed them from Canterlot. I was hanging out on the outskirts of town eating my last crystal apple as I see a bright pink pony running towards me. I took a few steps back as Pinkie went zooming by as I glanced towards the train station. I walked down the hill towards the mob of ponies noticing a few guards had spears.

“Aw Lily” Luna had spotted me as me fur goes up as the others turn around looking at me as a crystal shape apple is in my mouth. I took one bite of my apple to finish it taking a few steps back as my eye starts twitching.

“We are not going to war” I shouted at them as Celestia and Luna pulled out some winter gear as Twilight came walking out smiling.

“Well it’s better to be prepared than not be prepared at all” she was walking over towards her brother as he came walking out with Cadence who was surrounded by guards of her own. As I was pulling my armor from a pocket dimension the others were getting any of the gear they had with them ready. I had my helmet and my breastplate on but I left my leggings off so I could feel the ground when we got closer.

“ALRIGHT LET’S MOVE OUT!” I had shouted at them as I started walking north away from the train station causing a few of the guards to speak up.

“What about a train?”

“The tracks do not run up this far besides no pony knows this is even here beside me and a few others” I looked back to some of Cadence’s guards who looked away from me. Twilight was speaking with Princess Celestia on a few notes she had taken while she was there the first time and Luna was walking close to me keeping a wing over my head as the snow started to fall down upon us, Rarity started to complain as Applejack pulled her along while Rainbow Dash had to be grounded as Discord carried Fluttershy behind Celestia and Pinkie was just bouncing along the snow not even slowing her down. It got to the point where I made them all stop as I casted a spell to move the heavy thick snow out of our way as we trudged along.

“HOW MUCH FATHER!” I heard Cadence yell and as I was about to yell back I flipped over a stone and smiled.

“We are here!” I removed the snow from the stone as I hung my head down to the stone getting weird looks until Twilight wrapped a leg around me.

“Hey at least his stone is still here right?” she smiled.

“Yep now let me open that door.” I turned towards the east as I continued on until I heat a large metal door. I pulled the crystal from my armor and placed it against the door as a large pink flower with crystals for pedals to appear on the door causing it to swing open as I fell through disappearing from their sight. I landed on the stairs again as I flared up my horn creating the same light spell as before while everypony else climbed through the door whistling at the sight of the town. I had walked down the stairs listing to the others as they wonder off into different directions as I walked over towards the tree noticing the stones on the outer skirts have been smashed or tossed from their resting places. I walked over towards the tree placing my hoof along the trunk I could feel something blocking the magic from the earth running up to the tree.

“Darlin this place had to look wonderful when it was in full bloom” Rarity was standing next to me as I gave her a nod.

“Oh yes it was” I walked back from the tree as I stepped into the circle taking a deep breath to calm myself as I glance up at the tree “I am Silver Sky Lily member of the clan of Lily decedent of the skies, and remaining clan member of magic, I ask of you tree to give me a sign of what is blocking your magical energy” I stated clearly causing everypony to glance at me as the circle started to glow as black lines appear on the ground causing me to panic and backing slowly out of the circle until they were wrapped around my legs and my body dragging me to the ground. My armor had turned to dust leaving only the gems that were encrusted in it lying on the ground as the lines touched my skin it caused a burning sensation that made me scream causing everypony to run over towards me but everypony besides Rarity was blocked by a barrier. Rarity ran over placing a hoof on my shoulder as I laid their breathing hard trying to stay on my hooves but I’m forced to the ground again as I closed my eyes I could feel Rarity pulling me into her lap.

I woke up in a large field of tall sweet grass as a large tree sat on top of a hill with a pure white pony lying underneath with a long pointed horn and a large pair of white wings. My legs felt like a sack of bricks but I got to my hooves and walked up the hill towards the pony. I could hear birds singing in the distance as I got closer to the pony I could tell that the mane and tail matched the coat as there was no cutie mark on the pony’s flank as well.

“It’s not nice to stare at somepony’s flank” the pony sat up as the voice sounded like something cross from a horror movie and magic mixed together.

“What’s going on?” I spoke frantically as I fell back on my hind legs as the white pony walked over towards me.

“I say the truth but you won’t find it here” the pony smiled at me and I couldn’t even tell if it was a mare or stallion since it had no identifying features.

“What truth!” I shouted as I got back up to my hooves staring at the pony in the face.

“you are not a pony” the white pony in front of me raised up one hoof and placed it against my chest and pushed me hard enough it caused me to fall backwards. I didn’t fall into the grass I fell off a cliff into darkness. I didn’t know what happened but my snapped open as I could feel something trying to drain my magic from my horn. Rarity was still holding me in her lap as I could see Luna and Celestia standing there with guards holding their spears out towards the tree as a large dark figure came walking out. I felt my body going cold as I could see blood running from me onto Rarity staining her coat.

“I’m sorry Rarity” I tried to push off her lap as she held me down.

“No darling it’s okay. Twilight!” she yelled for Twilight who was standing on the other side with her nose in a book.

“She up!” she shouted with glee.

“Oh darn and I thought my magic had done the trick” the voice I knew it to well. I looked over at the tree as my grandfather came walking out with a twisted grin on his face.

“Grandfather? Wait one I didn’t think you spoke common?” I tried getting up on my hooves as I fell against the barrier as his smile grew into a wicked evil smile.

“Why” I had tears rolling down my cheek as he came walking over towards me.

“Oh things were going so smoothly Silver, you see before these two came along” he pointed over towards Celestia and Luna with his wing I noticed Luna had dark full body armor on with a large sword out. “I was so lonely here in the frozen north and the Crystal Empire didn’t exist yet and the fighting that was happening between the three tribes was causing the land to be barren up here and it was so filled with hate that it took me years to get it to go away. I decided that ponies born from the land would cause destruction and chaos, so why not create ponies that were grown from the ground like flowers and trees that gave me earth ponies, I took clouds and created Pegasus and then I took pure magic” he stomped his hoof on the ground causing pure magic to leak from the ground in a dark liquid form “I made unicorns they were all living peacefully together and it was refreshing but after a while, it got stale and old to create ponies that way so I thought why not use the stars? So I took a star here and a star here but you” he had a hoof pointed towards me “you were the real prize. I made you from a star that sat peacefully between the sun and the moon apparently when I stole you that was the breaking point. After stealing you they sent these two earth or Equestria I thought they were here to kill me and to take you back so I killed everypony and blamed it on him” he was pointing a hoof at Discord who was now up in arms. The lines that were wrapped around my body started to glow as I felt like I was trapped in an eternal pit of fire as he started laughing. My mind felt like it had shattered as I lay there against the ground as I saw Luna’s fur turned black causing the guards to back off.

“Luna no!” I shouted holding my hoof up as she returned to normal turning her head towards me.

“It’s not worth getting mad ov..” I was cut short as the lines started to glow again causing me to black out again. I was in an eternal darkness and all I could think about was the family I had lost over the years as a Pegasus with a white coat and a dark blue mane drape his wing over me as I look up at him.

“Royal?” I asked as he gave me a weird look.

“Îmi pare rău că am folosit pentru a vorbi de bine ceea ce tocmai ai auzit.” (Sorry I'm used to speaking well what you just heard.) He smiled at me as he pulled me into a tight hug.

“Este Silver bine,” (It’s alright Silver) I looked up at him as kept his smile on “Ce este de argint greșit pari jos”( What is wrong Silver you seem down)

“Eu voi și mama și tata sunt în căutarea în jos la mine cu dezamăgire pariu.”( I bet you and mom and dad are looking down at me with disappointment.)

“Din cauza a ceea ce se întâmplă de argint ascultă-mă, ai crescut într-un ponei puternic chiar și atunci când mama, tata și chiar mi-ar trebui să fie acolo pentru a vă ajuta să crească. Prolog

Chapter Nine

Nothing, which was all I heard and all I saw but pain, was the only thing I could feel as it. Lights small lights of different colors were starting to appear as a surface of dust with the color snow turning my light grey coat white.

“That’s it I’m dead!” I shouted as I fell backwards onto my back looking up into the night sky.

“You’re not dead!” the pony from before came walking from behind me as I look up at it rolling to my stomach as I got to my hooves.

“If I’m not dead then where am I?” I was staring at the same pony from before when I had come to that field.

“Well your back where you belong little one” another pony with large wings and a horn but this one was a bright yellow with an orange tint.

“And that is?” I was scratching my head as they stared at each other and then back to me.

“Well here” the white one pointed its wing towards the sky where the others stars were.

“So you’re saying that what my grandfather said was true?” I turned my head towards the sky looking at the stars as the two ponies walk over towards me.

“What did he tell you?” the yellow one sat down to my right as the left one to my left.

“That I was made from a star to long ago” I was cut short by two large wings blocking my vision.

“Yes you were a star and you still are” the white one looked down on me.

“Wait if I am still a star then… “my mind had snapped “ then then I am dead!” I shouted at them as I slowly backed up from them as my mind started racing with different thoughts.

“Listen you’re not dead, your body may be on Equestria but your soul or spirit is here on the moon at the current moment.”

“THEN I AM DEAD!” I shouted throwing my hooves over my head as tears roll down my eyes as the two larger ponies wrap one wing around my back.

“No you’re not please trust us Silver” they made me look up at them as I gave a slight nod. “Listen to us Silver, now we should start from the beginning before the princesses there were creatures called humans who lived along the land. After they died out they left the earth barren and torn after the years of war they caused with each other, so the gods decided to send one of their own down to help the land and create new creatures that would treat it right. Your grandfather Neptune was the one who was picked, he was doing so well until the three tribes started fighting. He left as soon as it happened leaving them on their own, went north and created the ponies that you knew and grew very much attached to. When he started stealing the stars from the other gods they had enough and sent Celestia and Luna to do the job.”

“But why did he use Discord?” I looked at them as they both kept their gazes on me.

“He wasn’t using Discord he was using an illusion spell a very old one, and he never said Discord he was yelling out Destruction”

“Oh I owe one god an apology if I get back” I looked down towards the ground as the yellow one removed its wing getting to its hooves as well as the white one.

“You will return”

“Okay so are you stallions or mares?” my question made them stop as the both looked towards each other.

“Well I guess I am a mare” the white one’s voice started to sound more famine.

“And I’m a stallion” the yellow one’s voice also changed to sound more masculine. They were both looking at me as the white pony signaled for me to follow, since I have nothing better to do then either freak out or something else I got to my hooves and started to follow them.

“So what would happen if I had died? Or any other ponies made from stars died?” I was walking with them as we head towards a large creator in the surface that held a large pool of black liquid.

“When a star pony dies they let out a large amount of power the will either destroy the land itself or destroy the lay lines that are in the earth itself causing the magic that the ponies use to become unusable, but with the right touch that power can be used to help things grow and to create new items from that magic plus it could boost a unicorn’s power to godlike for just a few years.” I was listening to them as my mind went back towards the tree.

“So since I was using my magic to help the tree”

“It grew with the magic being released from the ponies you buried.” The yellow one had completely changed into a stallion with wings and the white one a mare with a soft smile.

“But why is Neptune after the power if it’s all used in the tree?” I decided that he was no longer my grandfather at this point in time.

“Because the power you use is replaced by the magic from the ground. When you help the tree your hooves are always touching the ground so the power that is hidden under the tree comes up through your hooves helping your body and replenishing you magical pool. Now your grandfather knows this so he draining you power so it could be replaced by the reaming power that is left in the ground, if he does that, Celestia and Luna, not even you can defeat him.”

“So this is my fault? This is my fault that this is happening?” I had tears in my eyes as the mare wrapped her wings around me giving me a warm feeling.

“No it is not your fault at all, but since you left the forest on the day and Discord saw you along with the Princess he had to move his plans up a bit further, as he might have told you he killed the ponies you knew to keep them out of the hooves of the sun and the moon meaning the princesses. Even if you came alone Silver you will still be here but alone you might have died but since you came with others you have a fighting chance.” The stallion stood up as he flew into the sky.

“Where is he going?” I looked over towards the white mare.

“For now I am going to train you, he will train you later so he is going to go and give Celestia a boost of magic.” She stood up as she placed her hoof into the pool of black liquid. “This is called Liquid night only Luna is able to use this but since you belong to the night sky so can you.” She made a large floor mirror appear in front of me.

“You can create many things with it, this is one for instance” the mirror had finished coming together as I saw a pony with a black liquid coat with a snow white liquid mane as the eyes were a deep pool of blue. The pony also had no mouth and no cutie mark along its flank.

“The mirror will show you anyponies true form such as you.”

“where the chain?” I looked down towards my chest as the chain was gone as the mare laughed a bit.

“You do not need it anymore, I will teach you how to switch between a Pegasus, a unicorn, and an earth pony along with making armor and a sword.” The mirror had changed back into liquid night as she stuck her hoof back into the pool causing it to creep up her leg as the creator became empty. She walked over towards me as her whole left side was a moving black mass. Her hoof was placed on my shoulder as the liquid night creped down her hoof and around my body. Covering my chest and my legs like a set of ebony armor without any trimming and laches, as I watched it as it covered my vision and I started to panic.

“HOW FO I CONTROL IT OR AT LEAST MOVE IT!” I shouted as I tried to move but found myself glued to the ground kind of.

“Just relax and use your mind just think about, what you want to do with the liquid night.” I could hear the mare’s voice but I still couldn’t see her.

By my count it took a couple of hours to get my mind to relax as I thought of it as three small golden bracelets on my right hoof. My vision was free and yet it changed into gold bracelets.

“Wow” I was shocked as I looked at my leg. The mare smiled as she stomped her hoof on the dusty ground causing some dirt targets to pop out of the ground.

“Now let’s see if you can control it during battle or at least during target practice.” She walked behind me as my right eye twitched. I took some breathing exercises before trying to conjure up some armor which went well. It looked like my old armor but completely black with a white trim and my crest of arms on the middle of my breast plate. Conjuring up a weapon that was another story, I had conjured up a sword it became too wide causing me to fall over. The second try it became too long that it was poking me on the other side of my flank. The third try it became too short it wasn’t even a bloody dagger! The forth try was perfect I got a nice flat wide sword was the perfect weight for me to fling in my mouth and my magic. I went to got swing at some targets but my armor had glued me to the ground causing me to fall over with my flank up in the air. Fifth try got the sword down but my armor was being finicky! As parts of it was missing. The sixth try I had to make the sword a little less wide and a little less long in order for me to move in my armor with the sword. I took out the targets as the mare was smiling.

“Okay again but with a different weapon and a different body. In order for you to change you just need to relax again and think about the body you want the armor will change to fit that body.” She had stomped her hoof again creating new targets but this time they were lying down or in odd angles. I closed my eyes thinking about my Pegasus form as I shook my body my two large wings appeared as my body armor changed to fit the two new appendages. I took off into the air as I relaxed again focusing on a bow and a couple of arrows. First try all I got was a string. The second try I got a small arrow and no bow. Third try I got the bow right but the arrow was nothing but a stick. The forth try I had the bow down along with the arrow and quivers on my hip so I drew my bow and arrow and the bow snapped causing my hoof to smack me in the face. The fifth time was the lucky try I was able to create a large ebony bow with white marbling and a though string. The arrows were black ebony with white feathers and a blue string along the back. I took out my remaining targets on the ground.

“Good you got the basics down and they will work for now, so I’m going to let the sun take over.” She had disappeared from sight as I turned my head looking at the yellow stallion that was called the sun.

“Wait if you’re the sun”

“Yes she was the moon now I’m going to teach you some light spells that will help you in battle.”

“Why not teach me everything now?”

“Because by the time were done with you, you might not have a body to return to” my eyes widen as I land on the ground.

“Okay let’s get started” I looked at him as he smiled.

Chapter Ten

The sun taught me a few healing spells that harnessed the power of the sun along with a few burning spells that I could add to an arrow to cause some harm to the pony I was aiming at. I practiced aiming my weapons at the sun while he gave me targets to us my spells. As a unicorn I could use my horn, as a Pegasus my wings would glow and as an earth pony I had to cast them with my hooves. The liquid night held up to the brightest of spells he had. The scenery was starting to fade as I landed on the ground.

“What’s happening?” I looked around as the stars were disappearing.

“Time is up you going back” he smiled at me as everything changed around me. I could see Twilight standing over me as Rarity was pouring a bottle of cold water on my coat.

“Ow what happened?” I forced myself up as I noticed we were taking shelter behind one of the walls that remained.

“Oh you’re alive” Rarity smiled as she placed the bottle down as she tapped on my bracelets “I didn’t notice those before”

I look down as my eyes widen as I realize that it was all true and not my mind playing tricks on me. “Still doesn’t answer my question?” I looked at her than to Twilight.

“Applejack and Rainbow dash helped the princesses by distracting Neptune for a few moments so we could pull you safely from the circle, Pinkie has disappeared.” Twilight had a worry to her face as I smiled at her.

“Well then we should go help them” I got to my hooves feeling the burning sensation were the lines use to be.

“Not in your condition Lily” Twilight had forced me back to the ground as I shook my head.

“No this is my fight and my fight alone!” I got back up walking around the wall I could see the Princesses were to the ground bleeding from a few cuts to the bodies but I could also tell they were magically exhausted as the guards were the ones placing the shields up. I noticed Applejack and Rainbow Dash were hanging upside down from the tree as Discord was helping Fluttershy by pulling him back

“HEY OLD MAN!!” I shouted causing everypony to look over at me as I gave him a large old smile. Neptune turned his head towards me as I could see his wicked grin turn into a smile. Twilight ran over towards Celestia as Rarity was with her. Luna started at me with a worried look in her eyes. I closed my eyes letting the bracelets turn into a black liquid changing into a black thick armor with a white trim as my crest of a skull with crystals appear on my chest with the sun in the upper right corner and the moon in the lower left. My legs were covered in the same armor as I took a fighting stance watching the dark blue Alicorn in front of me with his wings extended out. I kept my ground watching for the right moment letting him move first. I ran past him as my form changed letting two large wings appearing as my horn disappears while I launch myself into the air. He turned around after slamming into the wall. I still had the armor on but it changed to fit my body.

“Princesses what is that she using?” I could hear Twilight speak as I focused my mind on creating a bow along with a set of quivers on my hip.

“She using Liquid night” Luna was the one to speak as I let my arrow go passing him but striking the rope that held Rainbow Dash and Applejack to the tree. Neptune came soaring up towards me as I closed my wings letting my body go into a free fall before opening them up soaring along the ground and past Rainbow Dash and Applejack creating a dust trail that was following me.

“YOU BETTER RACE ME AFTER THIS IS ALL DONE!” Rainbow had shouted at me as Applejack smacked her on the head with her hoof. I kicked off a few reaming walls as I flung myself back up into the air pulling out an arrow, I used my wings causing them to glow a bright yellow as I casted a firebolt spell on it and took aim.

“Behind you!” he shouted at me causing me to close my wings up once again as I aimed up letting the arrow go and striking him in the shoulder. I was unable to open my wings in time so I let my body crash to the ground below. I found myself in a dry river bed with Pinkie Pie sitting right next to me with a green cameo helmet sitting on her head.

“Pinkie what the buck are you up to?” I looked at her as she smiled.

“Distraction!” she had a party cannon sitting right next to her as she bounced up out of the river bed and then bounced back with a match in her mouth.

“Pinkie”

She pulled the string aiming a cannon ball right at Neptune who dogged it letting the black metal ball crash land into the far wall. My eye just twitched as I flew out of the river bed with my arrows at my side as my wings were glowing a pale yellow healing a few of my wounds not all of them. I landed on a wall with my bow in my mouth as I pulled an arrow from my quiver I brought it up but he was too fast and I had to fall back. I landed on the ground changing to an earth pony my hooves were glowing now as I slid out in front of everypony with the ground cracking as I summoned up fire from the ground creating a wall separating between me and him. He blew it out with a strong wind.. I returned to my unicorn form as my eyes became pitch black along with my magic. The liquid night returned to being a set of three golden bracelets on my leg as my legs had a small black ring around them. I then created a large black ring around the outer side of the shield the guards were casting and around Applejack and Rainbow dash who were still hiding under the tree. I was digging into my knowledge of black magic the oldest kind of magic I had before using my true form. It was pure black magic not tainted like Sombra’s with hate. I then slammed my hooves into the ground created a set of black wolves with red glowing eyes.

“Protect and fight” it was all I said as half of the wolves went after Neptune by my side and a few stayed back along the line around the shield and in front of Rainbow and Applejack. We were able to attack his wings making them useless. The wolves would fight it off as I would slam into his body causing him to knock over until my magic ran out, leaving me with one option the one I didn’t want to use. While I was up on the moon the sun had taught me how to us my true form. My eyes became a dark blue as the armor faded along with my coat into a dark liquid form as my mane changed to a bright white and my mouth had disappeared. Cadence had let out a shocking yelp as she hid behind Captain Armor.

“What is that?” she yelled as Neptune grinned.

“Her true form” he voice had become demonic as my mane became a liquid that was floating in anti-gravity kind of like Celestia’s and Luna’s mane. He charged up his horn and we went running towards each other in one final clash.

"Eu sunt o stea căzătoare, o stea căzătoare care e viața a fost întoarsă cu susul în jos și a rupt în afară de ea! Ca Soarele și Luna uita în jos la această luptă voi termina!" ((I am a star, a falling star who's life was turned upside down and broke out of it! As sun and moon look down on this fight will end! ")) I yelled out not caring who was around me as a large blinding light shone throughout the area. When the light faded I could see that Neptune was lying in front of me with a sword in his chest and I was back to normal wearing the liquid night as armor. His blood was tainting the ground before his body burned up into ash leaving nothing behind.

“GET OUT GET OUT!” I turned around to them.

“why?” Twilight looked at me, as the ground started shaking and the ceiling was cracking up letting the cold northern wind in.

“IT’S COLLASPING!” I shouted again as the guards grabbed the fallen or the wounded “HEAD DOWN THIS WAY!” I pointed towards the tunnel as everypony helped each other along leaving me to trail behind as I took one last look at my childhood home before the rocks and the snow had taken it before my eyes. I had reverted back to being a unicorn and casted the light spell so the others could reserve their magic. We trudged through the tunnel coming to the end with the wooden platform.

“How do we work it?” Celestia was looking at it as I placed her and Luna on it.

“Like so” I walked over towards the wall pulling the rope free of the ice and started to pull on it with my magic sending them up towards the top. I’ve done this a few times until Twilight pushed me out of the way taking over. I walked over towards Rainbow as she was pulling the injured from the tunnel before a large growl and then a whooshing sound came from it as large gust of wind hit us. I walked over towards Rarity who was helping Fluttershy to get the wounded on the platform.

“Need any help?” I looked at them as Rarity shook her head as she walked over towards me.

“Nope but you need your rest darling” Rarity had tapped me on the back and I had suddenly realized I had more injuries than I thought. I nodded to them as I walked away towards the back of the group watching everypony work as Discord came over to me.

“You know I owe you an apology” I looked at him as he laughed at me.

“Oh miss tough mare! “He had froze up “Okay I except it” he was beaten down by Fluttershy staring at him which made me smile. I sat their quietly as my vision started to fade and my injuries starting to be noticed as an Orange blur came walking up to me.

“Sug?” I could hear Applejack’s voice.

“Yes?”

“We need to get you up now since everypony has been taken care of” she wrapped her hooves around me as we walked up on the wooden platform with Twilight on the other side of me. I guess I was sitting there for a long while and I didn’t even know it. My vision was still failing me as we reached the top of the cave. The able body guards were waiting for us as the escorted us through the town back towards the castle. We were brought to the throne room; Twilight was looking around for the Princesses while Applejack was sitting next to me.

“Sug you okay you don’t look so good?”

“I don’t” I fell short as I fell to the ground landing back on the moon as I stared at the white dust plain again “Don’t tell me I’m dead for real now?” I looked behind me as the two ponies started laughing at each other.

“Not dead just tired, your body has taken a large hit plus your magical reserves have been used up to the point where it’s actually low” the moon smiled as I lay down in front of them.

“Well how long will I be up here?”

“Who knows but with how much you’ve taken I’m guessing around a couple weeks to a month but don’t worry you wake up in good hooves” the sun had a grin on his face.

“Okay I already have this feeling you and I are not going to get along.” I looked at him as he shrugged.

“No pony has ever gotten along with him, he still fights Celestia when she tries to raise him in the morning and set him in the evening.” The moon smiled as I started to laugh.

“Well let’s get to work if you have time to talk then you have time to fight and to learn!” he stood up looking at me as my eye twitched.

“I’m going to recover slower aren’t I?”

“Maybe?”

What seemed like hours or days passed as the sun and the moon taught me everything they knew. I was in the middle of a full blown solar attack then everything disappeared from my sight as I opened my eyes to w bright white room with ponies wearing white lab coats stand around as a weird machine with wires is hooked to my leg.

Chapter Eleven

I spent what seemed to be hours on the moon having my flanked kicked by the sun, my body was sore as I got to my hooves as the liquid night was cracking away from my body.

“You have a lot to learn if you’re going to stay on Equestria but I will let you decide” he was standing in front of me as I tried to get but up on my hooves but he pushed me back down as the moon walked over towards him.

“Lily we will give you some time to think about it okay” they started to fade as darkness once again consumes me as a loud beeping broke the silence as I pried open an eye looking around a large white room with a window overlooking Canterlot with two walls around me that were a large white curtain hooked to a metal bar on the ceiling. I tried to move but it felt like a two hundred pound weight was sitting on my chest as I saw multiple wires sticking to me along with different tubes with one going down my throat. I heard a door in the distance being pushed open with a set of hooves walking in but stopping short of the curtain. I closed my eyes so I could hear what they had to say.

“Is she up yet doctor?” I could hear Princess Celestia’s voice from the curtain as another voice that was more stallion than mare.

“No not yet princess we will notify you and your sister when she does.”

“Thank you doctor” I didn’t know if she had left after that but I could feel the doctor poking and prodding me with his magic as the tube in my mouth helped my breath and giving me a cover as I cracked an eye to see a brown unicorn stallion wearing a white lab coat with a red heart with a green line through it was sown on the coat itself. He was writing something on a clipboard before placing it back on the end of the bed before walking out leaving me alone once again. I opened my eyes as I tried to grab the chart with my magic sparks flew from my horn causing me to rub the base of it to find something was wrapped around it. I rolled my eyes as I forced my body up as I fell forward on the bed forgetting that I could use the liquid night. I reached out with my hoof using the Liquid Night to pull the chart towards me as I pushed myself back up looking at the notes the doctor had wrote.

Two months, I’ve been out two months. I hung my head letting the chart drop to the ground, how could I be out for two months? The last thing I remember was talking to Discord, and then I was with Applejack. My mind was racing I didn’t even hear the door opening as somepony walked in. The curtain to my left was pulled back I saw Little standing there with a large vase of flowers in his hoof.

“You’re up!” he seemed surprised that I was sitting up or even awake.

I looked towards him as I tapped the chart in my hooves as he turned his head towards me “Yes you were out for two months the doctors didn’t even know if you would wake up.” He took the pillow from behind me as he fluffed it between his hooves before placing it back “And do not give me that look mother! You need it and if you do not stay I will get the princesses after you” he gave me a glare that only I could do. He went back to changing out the dead flowers around my bed. He walked out leaving me alone before replacing the chart on the end of the bed. I was bored once again, and yet the door swung open and I saw the doctor who had dropped his statoscope from his magic as he went running out of the room. I glanced at him as he left the room “Oh great leave me alone again” I looked away waiting for him to come back into the room as he was followed by three Princesses, Celestia, Luna and Twilight. I had to double take when Twilight walked in with wings at her side my eyes were widen to the point of pin pricks as I held a hoof at her. The doctor had walked over towards me.

“okay just cough a couple of times” he took hold of the tube in my mouth as he started to pull it out as I coughed a few times looking at him.

“HOW!” my voice sounded like a mouse talking to Fluttershy.

“Save your breath I will tell you later” Twilight held her wing up as Celestia walked up to me with this most disapproving glare.

“Yes?” I had my ears against my head as she glared at me.

“Thank you for saving me and my sister in that fight, but there is a price to pay” I grabbed the covers as I pulled it up towards my head waiting for the moment she locks me up “You shall teach my student Twilight how to use Shadow magic.”

“Wait what!” I sat up looking at her.

“You heard me.”

“What but I thought I knew shadow magic?” Twilight was scratching her head.

“You probably know tainted magic. Sombra’s shadow magic was tainted with hate true shadow magic isn’t tainted with anything but you can taint it to give you an upper hand in battle” I was already explain to her as my voice was still sounding like a frog.

“See you’re a natural teacher” Celestia was smiling as her expression had changed.

“Still what happened?” I asked as Luna kept her eye contact away from me as Little Sweet came walking in holding a try of tea.

“Princess you asked for your tea in here?” she didn’t even noticed I was awake.

“Yes we will all take it in here and Twilight you can leave to go see your FRIENDS” she had put emphasis on the word as Twilight took the hint and left the room. Little had placed the tray down as she walked out not even noticing me still. She left leaving me alone with two princesses; Celestia poured some tea setting a cup in front of me and one in front of Luna.

“You were brought to the Crystal Palace with Applejack and Twilight last, Twilight had gone off to find some help but by the time she got help to you, you had already passed out on the ground causing Applejack to panic. Your magic was to the point where it was almost depleted and your body was severely hurt. You pushed yourself to the limit to save us and your life.” Celestia had taken a sip from her cup and placed it on a table alongside my bed.

“You knew I was going to wake up didn’t you?” I looked at her as she smiled.

“And what makes you think”

“The sun told me, he gave me one heck of a beating before the moon came in” Luna had lifted up as my voice was getting stronger.

“Yes he told me you were going to wake up but I think my sister would like to talk to you alone I will be back later.” She took her cup walking out of the room leaving Luna sitting on the edge of my bed.

“Luna?”

“YOU ALMOST DIED!” she was using the royal Canterlot voice causing the window to crack.

“Inside voice!”

“You almost left me! You stood out there in the battlefield on your last legs trying to save us, do you know how much it hurts watching you fight and leaving me on the sidelines watching the one pony they love dying in front of her eyes!” she had tears in her eyes.

“Luna I’m older than you and yes I have sat on the sidelines but the loved ones always died” my voice had returned to normal as I sat their looking at her as she hung her head low again. I grabbed Luna by the hooves as I pulled her up and kissed her on the lips.

“Listen to me Luna I never wanted to love I thought that if I had found love they just die off but our different.”

“I get to be around all your life” she smiled as I started to laugh before wrapping my hooves around my sides.

“Okay no laughing until I’m healed.” I fell back into my bed. I spent a few more weeks hooked up to a lot of machines until It came to the point where I only needed two one to give me fluids and the other to keep track of my heart rate. Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash had come to visit but came at the wrong time. I was playing poke with Discord who was sitting in a pair of white and red polka dot boxers as my mane was covering my face as my coat was freaking Rarity out.

“I win” I smiled as I laid the cards down.

“You said you couldn’t play poker” he was grumbling as I gave him his coat back.

“A friend from the forest called the Void taught me” I was cut short as Rarity pulled out a pair of scissors as she walked over towards me. She trimmed my coat which grew over the burn marks the ribbons had created, causing Fluttershy to faint as Discord carried her out of the room. With my burn marks revealed I had to stay more days in the Royal hospital. I only got the Royal hospital since I am noble but Celestia want to keep an eye on me. It was boring up until the doctor had placed a needle in my hoof and I kicked him into the wall.

“That hurt!” I shouted as a Nurse backed off along with the dazed doctor.

I had plenty of visitors come each day sometimes it was just me with my head sitting alone in a hospital bed waiting to be let go. I had plenty of time to think about the choice I needed to make. I curled up under the blankets as I drifted off to sleep standing in front of the sun along with the moon.

“I made my mind up”

“and?”

“I want to stay so teach me everything you two have!” I pointed my hoof at them as the sun smiled. They had put me through some tough situations where I had to use my powers to get me out. I didn’t know how long I spent being beaten up by the sun and the moon but as the last of the stars faded from the sky the sun had walked over towards me.

“I think that’s all you need to know for now but don’t get to comfy” he walked off as I opened my eyes to a white light blinding me.

“I told the sun I died!” I shouted causing the doctor to fall off the bed and on to the floor as Luna wrapped her legs around me.

“What is going on?” I looked around at the room full of ponies.

“You weren't waking up for another three straight weeks” Little was looking at me worriedly as I put my head against the pillow.

“Well its hard tell time when the sun is kicking your flank across the moon” I pulled the blanket over my head causing them to look at me oddly as Luna stared at her sister.

I spent at least another two months in the hospital before I was released to Princess Luna who didn’t let me leave the room until I could do a full circle which I couldn't. I kept stopping in front of the mirror noticing that I looked like some crazed cyber mare as the burn marks haven’t gone away yet. During the night court when Luna was away Little would walk with me around the gardens letting me rest on a low floating cloud. I would watch the sky go by as Twilight would come out of the castle to stretch her new wings with Rainbow Dash. I was able to do a couple of laps so Luna would let me walk around the Moon tower as I gathered my strength. The marks were going away slowly but I really didn’t mind at this moment it meant I could spend some more time with Luna and her with me. It was a good deal.

Chapter 12

Luna was visiting the Griffons, leaving me with some free time on my hooves before I started teaching Twilight some of the magic that I was being forced to teach her. I had caught the early morning train to Ponyvile under a different name so none of the girls would know that I was around. I wasn’t up for a race with Rainbow Dash just yet and I know how pushy she can get when she wants to race or challenge another pony. I was an earth pony using the name Silver Moon, my coat was a light silver blue with a black and purple mane and tail. My cutie mark was a star resting on a crescent moon with a few clouds around it. I saw Rainbow helping Scootaloo with her flying as Twilight was helping Sweetie Bell with her magic. I didn’t see Pinkie around but I kept an eye out just in case she popped out somewhere, I didn’t need her to blow my cover. I was about to past them as Pinkie came crashing into me causing me to land on my back.

“ohlooklookanewponyIknowyou’renewbecauseIneversawyouaroundPonyvilebeforeandIknoweveryponyhere.” She was bouncing up and down on my stomach as I slammed my hooves on the ground. She was making my sore body even sore. She was lifted off of me by lavender magic.

“Pinkie not all ponies are as happy as you are” Twilight came walking over as Sweetie Bell was working on holding a heavy weight in her magical field. I got to my hooves brushing the dirt off as Twilight held a hoof out to me, I took it and she gave it a light shake.

“My name is Twilight Sparkle and you are?” she had the same smile she gave me when the Princess told her I would be staying with her.

I took my hoof and wrote Silver Moon into the dirt as Rainbow Dash flew over top “What is wrong with her?”

“She a mute Rainbow she can’t speak” I was backing up slowly from the three mares as I walked down a dirt road towards Sweet Apple Aces.

“Hey wait!” I heard Twilight yell out to me and my ears went up and I went running down the road with the others following me. I passed Applejack and Big Macintosh hanging around the outskirts of the farm as I ran towards the Everfree. I stopped to grab the lantern hiding behind the tree, before running into the forest with the others following me. I ran down a path that split off from Zecora’s hut, I couldn’t tell who was following me as I stopped midway as I sat the lamp down my right hoof lit up with a bright yellow as I lit the candle noticing that the animals of the forest were sneaking up on me. I picked up the top of it with my mouth as I noticed a purple glow. I ran down the path holding tight on my only light source tight in my teeth as I arrived at a large wooden door covered in vines and bright white lily flowers. I walked around the house and entered into the back as it was the only door not blocked off by the forest.

Dust covered the room in a thick layer causing everything to have a greyish tint. My plants were surviving with the set up I had. I placed a sheet of metal outside to collect rain water which flowed in through a tube and into the pots. I had different types of tea leaves growing along the left side of the house, as I walked over towards my bed which lay under a window so I could see what little sky the forest gave me. I had tones of notes under my, my hoof wasn’t reaching anything so I peeked under and found out that everything was gone. Why everything but my plants and shelves were gone. It took me a moment and realized that they were at Twilight’s house. I feel such a dunce then I grabbed the lantern and walked out of the house with my plants as the front door was blown in. I walked around and peaked into the window and noticed Twilight was with Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack and her brother Big Macintosh were standing in the middle of my house.

“You know you’re really bad at hiding” I turned around behind me and I noticed Discord was sitting on my flank as a brown mouse with yellow eyes. I gave him a weird look trying to keep silence.

“I know you can talk Lily the others may not see it but I do” he tapped the star on my flank as I snorted at him.

“Fine but I do not need them to know I’m here especially Rainbow.” I whispered to him as I walked away from the house not before I switched out the candles to make me look like floating wisp in the night.

“Really and old pony like you afraid to lose to a young blood like her?” he started snickering as I casted a glare back at him.

“What do you want?” I stopped keeping an eye on him as he crawled up my back over the bags with the plants in them and to the top of my nose.

“What I want dear Lily is something that you can give me and no pony else” he was smiling at me as I gave him another odd look.

“Oh and what is that?”

“Really you don’t know well then I guess I just half to tell Twilight you’re here” he turned into his normal self-causing me to grab the lantern and run deeper into the forest. Away from Twilight but I wasn’t paying any mind to my surroundings and I was stopped by a tree that came out of nowhere, I could hear Discord in the back ground laughing at me as I tried to regain my balance.

“There you are Silver!” Twilight spoke up as I shook my head giving a glare towards Discord.

“Yeah why in tarnation are you running from a Princess?” Applejack had walked up on me as my ears flatten and I smile at them both.

“Come on silver you can talk.” Discord glared back.

I stick my tongue at them all before running off again deeper into the woods. “FOLLOW HER!” was all I could hear from Twilight as I came to an opening.

“Twilight she can take care of herself” Discord was starting to sound like rarity whining about dirt.

“No she can’t Discord. I mean she can’t talk or scream for help!” she sounded mad and she looked mad as she joined me in the clearing. Everypony was to focus on me they didn’t hear the low growl coming from the bushes. I flatten my ears as Applejack took a whiff of the air as she placed her hoof up to her nose.

“We got Timberwolves ponies!” she was ready for a fight as the others created a circle around me as I rolled my eyes. I crawled from under the ponies and bolted into the forest with the others following. We ended up at a large mansion with a large dark oak door with vines growing alongside it. I slammed my hoof on the door as an average unicorn with a dark black coat with a dual tone black mane and tail with a dark purple mixed in. He was wearing a teal color vest as his dark black eyes were soul piercing in this light they were.

“You rang?” he asked in a low voice before noticing me he fell back laughing. The others were standing behind me as the wolves were staying alongside the tree line for now before walking up and entering the house though a special door on the other side.

“That has to be the worst pony image you can come up with lily I mean didn’t you use that on me last time you were trying to pull a prank on me” he made smile as he stood to one side letting us all in as I rolled my eyes.

“Well I’m not pulling pranks this time Void I was trying to go unnoticed but Pinkie crashed into me when I walked from the train station” I had changed back to normal as I placed my plants on the table next to a wall mirror.

“Lily!” Twilight shouted as I look over at her.

“Hey Discord told you I could take care of myself.”

“Why are you out here?” she was mad

“Getting the stuff I need to teach you and I use to live out here remember” her anger seemed to cool off as Void walked off.

“Well who this unicorn?” Pinkie had stopped bouncing and was scratching her head.

“He called the Eternal Void he lives out here as well; I normally do his food runs so you normally don’t see him” I sat along a dark wood table with a couple of pillows laid out around it. Void came walking out carrying a tray full of cups and a tea pot.

“So when did the wolves from the Whitetail Woods came in?” I looked at him as he sat the tray down.

“They probably just came in” he was placing cups all around the table.

“So where have you been for months?” he glanced over to me as I smiled.

“I was up north again”

“Always” he rolled his eyes as he poured everpony a cup of tea.

“You should have known that by now.”

“Yes well” he smiled as we caught up on a few old times as Twilight and the others came sitting over around the table. He told me how he was out looking for his sister who had ran off when the wolves from the Smokey Mountains had come down from being pushed out of their home by the visiting Griffons. I told him what happened up north and I gave him a few plants leaving me with two rare ones. It was getting dark as the light that was shining through the openings from the trees were disappearing I gathered my things and everypony else as we head towards the door.

“Stay on the path towards Zecora’s you be safe their the others tend to stay towards the old castle.” He was standing at the door as I was lighting my lantern. I had actually noticed Pinkie Pie was hiding on Discord as Big Macintosh was guarding Applejack and Twilight. I lead them down a path that had a small wooden fence at the entrance. We made it out of the forest by the time Luna’s moon was high into the night sky. Pinkie bounced off, as the apples went back towards the farm as I was left with Discord and Twilight along with Rainbow Dash.

“You still owe me a race” she zoomed off.

“why did you hide your appearance?” Twilight had walked up next to me.

“I didn’t want to run into Rainbow I’m just not up to racing for a while, plus Pinkie didn’t help.” I started walking towards the tree house leaving Discord at Fluttershy’s cottage. Twilight had went off to bed feeling a bit tired after pruning her wings with the help of Spike. I stayed up with the light of a candle putting things together that I might need to teach Twilight. Some of the spells I might half to take her out far away from town like the one I used.

Daylight came and I had everything ready. I took Twilight out along with the two guards that had showed up to a field outside of town. Her friend’s decided to watch as I laid a couple of books on the ground.

“Okay first I’m going to teach you magic that neither Celestia nor Luna, or Candace can teach you.” My eyes started to glow black causing a few guards to back up with spears at the ready. My horn was glowing black as a large mass of shadows formed underneath me.

“Shadow magic is easier than black magic once you got shadow magic down you can easily gain the black magic down.” I pointed my hoof over towards a tree. “The Cutie mark crusaders are over there with Discord watching.”

The three ponies came falling out from behind a tree as they went over towards the small group of ponies which have gathered by now. I held up a book in a dark orb of magic.

“All these books are translated with spells and how to cast them; I just brought you out here because seeing is always believing.” I had cut the shadow magic as I switched to black magic creating the wolves I had made up north but they stayed at my side lying down on the ground. They disappeared as earth golems appeared creating a shock wave of awes in the crowed as Twilight was taking notes. I turned them into water golems who went prancing about than air and fire. I made a large circle blade that went around my hooves perfectly all of it still using black magic.

“When creating weapons with black magic along with golems you strengthen your weapon and golem, but be careful there are different types of black magic and they do different stuff. I will not teach you the black magic Sombra uses but I will teach you the stuff that helped build Equestria’s magical knowledge.” Throughout the whole entire day I taught her different types of magic and what effects they had on the body when used for a long time. After that was done I turned to see that the whole entire town was standing around watching as the guards were in shock.

“You two should be used to this since you should have been taught how to defend against these types of magic!” I walked up to the guards who were on the ground shivering.

“Twilight I’m going to borrow your guards and train them how to fight when I go back to Canterlot” I turned away handing the books over.

They day was eventful with Sweetie Bell wanting me to help her with her magic and Applebloom wanting to see my sword her sister had told her about. Rainbow Dash has been yelling at me all day for a race so I gave her one. It started in town square where I had changed into a Pegasus and took to the sky. We went from the town square to her cloud house, to Sweet Apple Aces and back to Town square. I beat her within a few minutes. The day had turned to night again and instead of staying with Twilight I made a bed out of large cloud that was hovering overhead.

Epilogue

I spent a full month and a half going back and forth between Canterlot teaching Twilight how to cast magic’s that were lost to time and to the pony race. I got the most complaints from the mayor of Ponyvile when Twilight had sent me flying into the fountain in the middle of town as a large black creature appeared in front scaring many of the foals. We had to go father out of town to practice more. Apparently the princesses had found out that since Twilight had become an Alicorn the other elements had essentially become immortal, I think this was just some way to keep the magical aspect of harmony from slipping off and diving into the deep end of the pool causing chaos and leaving Discord in charge killing or hurting pony kind.

I taught Applejack how to grow different types of crystal food along with Pinkie pie on how to make the food into different cakes, pies, and cookies that she wanted. I taught Fluttershy some old secret healing herbs that Zecora could help her get that would help with her animals. I showed Rarity some styles from that time period along with a few crystals that would make her stuff pop in the eyes of the fashion world in Canterlot. Rainbow dash was too busy training to replace one of the Wonderbolts. I moved again from Twilight’s tree house where Spike was now living alone. I sent Little Night to help him when needed; I think the break from Canterlot helped him in his mood since he meat Pinkie Pie. Rainbow had come down from Cloudsdale for a bit to get another race since she thought she was faster than me. We had crashed into the throne room were Luna and Celestia were going down a list of demands the Griffons had sent over once again. We caught them at a bad time since the royal chef was bringing in their dinners one salad landed on Celestia’s head with a rainbow colored mare in a blue suit sat in front of her. Luna fell over laughing as I was still hovering in midair took towards the library for a few hours. I made myself look like one of the earth pony maids as Rainbow had to wear a pink frilly dress to practice with orders by Celestia. She caught me since my star never changed she was able to use a spell from the dark ages and turned me into a unicorn stallion of myself. I avoided Twilight hoping she wouldn’t catch wind of that little stunt but Luna was another story.

“So I see that my sister’s wife has rubbed off on you?” Luna had just walked in as I turned my head from the book with a quill floating in front of me. She was standing in the door way with a small dark blue filly with long blue and white mane and tail.

“I’ve been busy since I was released from that Stallion spell” I had casted a glare over towards Luna since she kept that bloody spell running for longer than her sister had planned.

“Oh I thought you were hiding from my sister?” she was playing dumb now.

“It’s been you and that bloody spell Luna” I had closed the book in front of me.

“Well I thought I should tell you that I’m about due in Night court and so are you” she turned around walking out of the room as I sighed to myself. I got to my hooves adjusting my glasses as I walked out of the room and into a large white Alicorn holding a large cake in her magic.

“Um..Luna left already Celestia” my ears were back against my head.

“LET HER HAVE IT!”

“LUNA!” I backed up towards the wall before ducking under her and running down a hall for my life. I ran into the main part of the castle and crashing into the real Celestia by mistake. I sat up looking at the one in the hallway.

“LUNA!” I yelled again as I helped up her sister who gave one glance at the fake before running after it smiling. I rubbed my head reflecting on how I got into this situation and then I hear two bloody screams as the sun was setting. I had Pinkie help me with some baking as I tore Discord from his wife Fluttershy to fill them with foam which had Posion Joke mixed in with it so when it hit a certain pony who knows what happened. The sound of a stamped was my queue to run out of the Castle and Canterlot for a while. I simply laughed as this had all started with me waking from a nightmare.
