“I wonder why he looks so upset today.”

“Stop staring at him, Tiff. He’s just a weirdo. He’s been coming to that window for I don’t even know how long and just stares and laughs for a minute, then walks off.”

“He’s been out there for over twenty minutes now. I wonder if there’s something wrong.”

“Yeah, I’d say there’s something wrong.”

“Grace, stop it.”

“You’re so convinced that it’s for you. How do you explain the “Cheer-You-Up-Party” poster today?”

“Well, who else could it be for? We’re the only regulars who sit right here by the window… Oh, look, Grace! He looks happy now! ”

“Oh, and he poured you a drink. This is weirder than the time he brought that old lady over.”

“Hey, it’s a cupcake! Ha ha! I don’t care how weird he is, he’s cute!”

“Geez, what did you do, Tiff? He’s crying.”

“Oh-no!”

“Wait, where are you going? Don’t go out there…”

“Hey sir? Hey, calm down, it’s all going to be ok… ah!”

“Oh my… Tiffany, are you ok?”

“Yes, yes, I’m fine, he just pushed me. Where’s he going?”

“Away, thank goodness.”

“Grace, stop it. Something upset him.”

“What were you thinking, coming out here? He can’t be safe; this city is full of weirdoes.”

“He’s not dangerous, I’m sure of it. He seems like a really nice guy. And just to prove it, I’m going to stop him tomorrow when he comes by and ask him what he was doing. Then you’ll see he’s not as bad as you say.”

“Uh-huh, sure. I bet we get a really good explanation of why he was miming to us through the window for the past month.

“Grace, shut up.”

The End (of what will be written )
