Every filly and colt knows the stories told at Hearth's Warming Eve. Of how the three pony tribes overcame their differences to understand the power of friendship, forming the state of Equestria. But what if the stories we hear don't tell the whole truth?

When Fluttershy saves a mysterious stallion from death, the Mane Six will learn of a more bloody past in pony history than originally thought. A story of loss, retribution, regret and redemption for one stallion of war trying to find purpose in a land of peace. But can anypony sooth the wrath of the Gullengrakr?

A story deriving from the thought, "Species facing starvation and imminent death simply talked their problems out?" This story contains violence and sexual references, but not extreme enough I felt to warrant a Mature tag. Please tell me if you feel otherwise.
