"Oh yeah, and Big Mac dropped a whole basket of apples on Applejack's head! You should'a seen the look on her face!" Apple Bloom chuckled as she clutched onto her sister's hat.

"Oh come on, it wasn't that funny." Applejack smiled, looking over to the small filly sitting to her left who was almost in tears from laughing.

"I think she may be over reacting just a tiny bit, don't you think?" Applejack whispered to her parents. They didn't reply.

They both paused for a moment and waited for Apple Bloom hysterical laugh to settle down.

"Whoo wee, I'm plum tuckered, it must be way past your bed time sugar cube." Applejack grinned, placing her arm over Apple Bloom's shoulder and snatching her hat back.

"Yeah, I think it's bout time we both hit the hay."

"Not yet, we still got some Apple pie to serve, remember? Just let me have a few words with Ma and Pa and I'll catch up to you." The orange mare winked.

"You got it," Apple Bloom started as she got up onto all four's.

"but be quick!" Apple Bloom yelled as she trotted away from her sister.

Applejack watched as her little sister ran off into the distance, waiting until her sister was no longer in sight. She looked back at her parents and sighed.

"Phew, as beautiful as she is, she's quite the handful, y'know? Great to have time for just ourselves, eh?" The orange mare started.

"I can't stay long, I promised Granny Smith I'd help her with dessert, Apple Pie as usual." She chuckled.

The orange mare's laugh faded to a sigh as she looked up and saw the sun setting, creating a luminous glow to fill the sky. Many shades of scarlet, magenta and gold filled the day as it turned night and created the perfect scenery as the apple trees swayed in the warm breeze. However, Applejack had no time to admire the beauty as she patted the patch of dirt that lay down in front of her and stared at the tombstones that stuck out of the ground.

"I miss you Ma, I miss you Pa, I haven't seen you in so long and it's getting mighty lonely without you. Have a good night, rest peacefully, okay? I..." Applejack sniffled, wiping her nose with her hoof.

"I love you."

Applejack tilted her head towards the ground and let a single tear drip onto her mother's grave.
