"Nate?" Drake looks over and looks back at the road, "Yea Sully" "Do you hear that?" he said looking away to listen. Drake listens too as he concentrates on the road, It sounds like a car getting close. "Shit!" Drake yells as A car rammed into them causing them to fall out of the car, they landed on ground unharmed but in an ally. Sully got up and so did Drake, the car that rammed them drove into the ally. "Shit, RUN!" Drake and Sully start running away from the truck, Sully pulls out his gun. "Nate, use this." Drake turns and Sully throws the gun, Drake catches the gun and points at the driver. Drake pulls the trigger hitting the driver in the head, but the car is still moving. "Keep running Sully!" Drake yelled as he started to pick up his pace they run out of the ally and the car flips over and lands on another car causing it to explode, Drake and Sully stopped and turned to see flames surround the car. "That was close" Sully said catching his breath. The door to the car is kicked open, Drake points the gun towards the door that was kicked open. A bald man in an army vest comes out, "Lazarevic!" Drake says as he points at him, Sully looks over to his right and sees the temple of Shambhala. "Nate we found it." Drake looks over for a split second, then Lazarevic attacks him knocking Drake's gun out of his hands. Lazarevic hits him in face causing him to stagger back, Drake dodges the second hit and steps forward and throws a punch, landing it on the cheek bones of Lazarevic's face. He falls backwards, landing on the ground. Sully grabs his vest with both hands and picks him up and throws against the wall, Drake grabs the gun and pistol whips him across the face knocking him out. Drake steps away and puts the gun in his shoulder gun holder. "Nate, come on he won't wake for at least a while" Sully says, Drake nods and they both walk into the Temple. They are both astonished at what they see, a giant gate. "Well I'll be go to hell." Sully says as he looks around the temple. Drake then puts his hands on the handle of the gate and pulls, it won't open. Drake's smile goes away, "I knew it wasn't that easy." Drake turns around and notices another door with symbols on it. "Wait" Drake walks over to the door and looks at the symbols. It shows three amulets, The Bird, The Eagle, and The Swan. "Sully we have to go through these doors." Sully looks at him, "Are you sure?" Drake pulls out his book and turns the pages to find what he was looking for, he finds the page and shows Sully, "The Three Amulets, we need them to open that door. It looks like we have to place them on this pedestal, and the door should open." Sully nods and they walk up to the door, "You ready?" Drake asked, "Lets do it." Drake opens the door and it shows a bright light. They walk into the door and everything goes black. =============== Drake's eyes shot open and he jolts upward off his back, he looks around and finds himself in a forest. But Sully is missing, Drake notices that he is not there and calls for him. "SULLY!" no answer, "SULLY!" no answer. Drake hears rustling of bushes and looks towards the sound and sees a shadow, "Hello?" Drake says as he leans to see the shadow's source, "Who's there?" Drake moves closer, and notices it's an animal shadow. Drake sighs of relief, until it talked. "Who are you" He is looking at a pony with an adventure hat on and an explores vest, Drake steps back and trips back. He lands on the floor and picks himself up and crawls backwards, "How... are you talking?" Drake asks, The pony smiles. "I should ask you the same question" Drake looks confused, The pony puts her hoof out to pick him up. "Name?" She asks, "Drake." He answers as he grabs the hoof and pulls himself up, "And you?" "Daring Do" She says, "I'm a treasure hunter, what do you do?" Drake looks at her and chuckles "Same." Daring Do then backs up, "What are you looking for?" She Cautiously asked. "Why are you asking?" Drake sounding confused "What are you looking for?" She asked angrily "Okay, Three amulets." Drake tells her Daring then becomes mad, "You ain't getting it first" She starts running in the other direction "Great" Drake grunts and walks the other direction As Drake walks he is going over his notes and follows the directions to the temple until he found it. Drake smiles "That was easy, Alright lets do this." Drake slowly slides down the hill, and heads towards the entrance of the temple. "This is where I will find The Bird" Drake talks to himself as he enters the temple. Drake thinks What happened to Sully he continues into the temple. Drake walks down the long hallway until he got to the end and looked down to see a hole with a ladder. He sighs and climbs down the ladder into a room it was dark, he reached into his satchel and pulls out a lighter and finds a near by torch and lights it. Drake pulls the torch off the holder and points it towards the dark room to notice something moved, "Perfect" Drake said as he walked towards the darkness. TO BE CONTINUED... //-------------------------------------------------------// The First Temple //-------------------------------------------------------// The First Temple Walking into the darkness Drake started thinking, 'Okay, Marco once said that he got to Shambhala and found a door and took him to a place that had strange creatures' 'that explains about the talking pony' 'He found the three amulets, but when he opened the gate he found... Shit I guess I have to find out for myself' Drake sighs as he continues through the cave, all he hears is dripping water and crackling. Drake turns to see if anything he missed and walks into a wall, he staggers back and sees a door in front of him. The door has a board on the door blocking something from opening the door, 'looks like someone tried to keep something in' Drake thinks. He grabs the board and pushes it up taking it off of the holder blocking the door and throws it over, Drake wipes his hands and looks over at the door. As Drake opened the door, he found a lighted hallway. Drake looks at the torch in his hand, then throws it. 'I don't need that anymore' Drake thinks as he walks through the door and walks through the long hallway, he walks slow so he doesn't run into any traps. He makes it to the end of the hallway and puts his hand on the door, a sound of something triggering. Drake jumps back and Spikes came from the wall blocking the door, it slowly pulls itself back into the wall. 'Shit that was close' Drake carefully put his hand on the door and pulled back, nothing happened. He opened the door slowly, and goes into the next room. As he enters the door shuts behind him, as he looks around the room. Drake sees a giant door with numbers on it 8, 0, 6, 2; a pedestal with buttons that has the numbers on it; and 3 stones with riddles on it. Drake studies the room and goes towards the stones, 'okay lets see' Drake thinks then aloud "It's not as high"(I don't know how to do riddles.) Drake writes the riddle in his journal and then moves on to the next one. "It only has the 3" Drake does the same thing, then looks at the third one. "it is the most common number" Drake writes that in his journal and goes over to the pedestal, "Okay, so lets go over this" Drake puts the book down in front of him with the numbers, "Alright so..." He reads the first riddle, "Okay then I'm guessing it's telling me it's not a high number so the eight is out" Drake reads the second one, "This probably means it only has three letters in it's name so 0 is out" then he reads the third one. "The most common number is 2" Drake doesn't hesitate to press the button with the 2 on it. When he pushed the button the 2 on the door turns green and the door pushes out and separates opening the door. Drake grabs his book and puts it in his back pocket and jogs towards the door, as the door opens he could see one of the Amulets. He then smiles at the sight of it, putting a grin the size of a cat on his face. As the door opens completely, Drake walks up to the Amulet and picks it up off the stand. Drake thinks 'The Swan' Drake hears the door open behind him and a familiar voice "Not you again" Drake turns around to see Daring, She then tries to threaten Drake to make him hand over the Amulet. "You better step away from that Amulet if you know what's good for you." Drake then walks towards Daring, "And what are you going to do about it?" Drake acts like he is scared, "I will spare the embarrassment of having it taken off of you." Drake then chuckles, then the ground starts rumbling. Daring then is pissed, "WHAT DID YOU DO?" Daring yells as they see the stand that was holding the amulet fall down as water broke down the wall behind the doors. "Oh no, RUN!" Drake screams as he points at the door, they both run out of the room and into the hallway and running away from the water chasing them. Drake rams into the door, flying it straight open. Daring runs in after him and Drake slams the door shut and puts the giant board on the holders, Drake backs up ready to run if it doesn't work. The door pushes forward but back in, sealing the water. Drake then puts his hands on his knees in exhaustion, Daring then pushes Drake causing him to lose balance. Drake catches himself on the cave wall, He looks towards Daring as she pointed her hoof at him. "WHAT HAPPENED IN THERE?" The look on her eyes was on fire, Drake pushes himself off the wall. "How am I supposed to know, I just grabbed the amulet and it probably pulled something and released the water." Drake yelled back. Drake didn't want to deal with this, he turned away from the door and walked towards the exit. But was stopped by the darkness filling the cave, "Shit" Drake walked over and grabbed the torch he had and lit it back up. "Where do you think your going?" Daring growls at Drake, Drake sighs and turns head towards her. "Can we talk outside instead of in a cave?" After he said that Drake looked at the door and it cracked, "Oh no, we better get moving" Drake and Daring head out of the cave and they hear the door break open, but there was not enough water to get to them. "One great treasure hunter you are?" Daring says sarcastically, "shh" Drake puts his hand towards Daring and lifts a finger to shush her. "What?" Drake puts it back up "shush" Drake can hear a lot of stomping like a herd of buffalo, "Don't shush me..." Drake then puts his hands up towards her "Shut up, do you hear that?" Daring listens also, the sound stops. Drake looks forward and sees something in a distance, an arrow. As Drake hears a fire, he moves out of the way but the arrow pierces through his left arm. "AGH" Drake yelps in pain, he uses his right arm and grabs the arrow in his arm. Drake looks back and he sees an arrow towards Daring, Drake runs up and pushes Daring out of the way and the arrow hits the rock behind them. Drake grabs the arrow in his arm and pulls it out, One final scream brought him to his knees. Drake looks up to see a dragon in front of him, with a crossbow pointed towards his head. "Your coming with us." Drake looks over at Daring, "Who are these guys, Friends of yours?" Drake felt pressure slap him across the back of his head, "Get moving" He ordered. Drake grabbed the crossbow and pointed it left, the dragon pulled the trigger and killed one of his minions. "Oops." Drake jokes and twists his arm, and breaks it over his shoulder. The Dragon screams in pain and lets go of the crossbow, Drake lets go of his arm and grabs it. Drake points it at the dragon, "I don't think so fire breath." Daring walks up to the dragon and hits him in his face, "Daring!" Drake yells. Daring turned towards him, "I think he has had enough." Daring then looks to the side of Drake and has a surprised look on her face, Drake feels something press up against his head. Drake looks over, It was Lazaravic. //-------------------------------------------------------// Captured //-------------------------------------------------------// Captured Drake gets up off of the floor of the cell he was shoved into, "What now smart guy?" Drake looks over to his left, there is a window with bars on it leading to the cell next to him. Daring was on the other side. "I thought you were good at these problems." Drake reminds Daring, Drake then looks out the cell door and sees a shadow in the cell in front of him. Drake walks closer and sees a man in a red shirt, "Sully?" Drake looks closely to notice, It was him. Drake runs up to the cell door and grabs on to the bars, "Sully!" Sully turns around to see Drake, "Nate? How did you get yourself into this again?" Daring calls over to Drake, "Again?" "It's a long story, now listen. Can work together instead of having this feud?" Drake asks, Daring nods and steps back into her cell, "Lets start with him." Drake hears his cell door open and 4 of Lazaravich's soilders grab Drake. Drake gets dragged out of the cell, Drake tries to struggle but to no avail. They bring Drake into a room and strap him on a chair, "It is a beautiful amulet, is it not." Drake looks over to see Lazaravic. One of Lazaravic's soilders hits Drake across his face, Blood from Drake's nose splatters on the ground. "Too bad it has been taken off your clutches." Another punch across Drakes face, making him bleed more. Lazaravic walks up and puts the amulet in his bag, Lazaravic leans his head towards Drake. "Now where are the others Drake?" Drake spits blood onto Lazaravic's face, he swings his arm hard knocking some teeth out of Drake's mouth knocking him to the ground. "That was not very nice." Lazaravic kicks Drake in the stomach causing Drake to puke blood, Lazaravic looks at one of his soldiers and points up. The soldiers lift his chair back to it's standing position, Lazaravic pulls out his knife. He puts it on his forehead, and slowly drags it down to his chest. He then pulls hard cutting skin of Drakes chest, Drake screams in pain. "Where is the others?" Drake doesn't answer, Lazaravic puts the knife inches away from the last cut. Just as he was about to pull down one more time, The door to the room burst open as a guard flies through it. *Meanwhile before* "Where are they taking him?" Sully says to himself, he hears another cell door open. He looks over to see Daring walking away, "Hey!" Sully yells towards her, "Where are you going?" Daring turns around and walks up to his cell. "Getting out of here." She answers. "You can't just leave Drake like that!" Sully yells softly, Daring then points at where he was headed. "He was the reason we almost got killed!" Daring yells softly back, Sully puts his hands up. "I know he could be a real ass at times, but he knows where all the amulets are." Daring turns to where Drake was taken and looked back, "Let me get you out of there." Daring punches the gate and it unlocks, (Neat) "Wow, how did you do that?" Daring puts her hoof up, "I learned that a long time ago." Sully walks out and they hear Drake scream, "Oh no, Nate" Sully runs forward and heads towards the door, Sully goes around the corner to the door. He grabs one of the guards and pushes him into the door causing it to fly open, "Nate!" Sully yells. as he grabs the guards gun and shoots Lazaravic's men, Drake started fiddling with the ropes tied around his arms and breaks free. Drake puts his head down not to get shot and jumps into cover, "Drake" Sully grabs Drakes attention. Sully throws him a gun and Drake leans towards it and grabs it, Lazaravic sneaks away from the scene but doesn't realize he dropped the amulet. After having this big gun fight, Drake notices a grenade in one of the boxes next to him. He jolts towards and grabs it out of the box, He pulled the pin out of it and throws over his cover. A large explosion is heard and Drake looks up and it looks like he got all of them, Drake gets up out of his cover. "Nate" Sully runs down and grabs Drakes arm, "Agh" Sully grabbed the arm that the arrow pierced through, Sully let go "Are you okay?" Drake can't talk, his chest was still on fire. Drake notices something on the ground, He staggers towards it and grabs it off the ground. He laughs causing his chest to hurt more, "Nate, here" Sully grabs a water bottle from one of the soldiers and hands it to Drake. Drake nods his head, and grabs the bottle. Drake looks over at Daring who is looking at him shocked, Drake walks over and puts his hands up to try to gain trust. Daring puts her hoof up and Drake grabs and shakes up and down in a handshake. Drake regains his breath and speaks, "Thank you" Daring nods and they head out of the temple. Drake decided to tell Daring who that was and what he wants, and that he needs the amulets to open the door to the treasury of Shambhala. As they were speaking Drake pulled out his notebook and points in the direction of the next temple, with Daring's help they could get done a lot faster. //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Notes //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Notes The reason this story is on hiatus is because I lost my notes to this story so I have to figure out where I put it, or just start over.
