A pony was sitting in a large room that he particularly didn't enjoy. He looked up at the wall that was covered in nice plushy cushions. He turned to the other wall also covered in the nice white plushy cushioning. He laughed again as his mind showed him an image of a eyeball coming out of the wall turning into a Ace of Spades playing card just before exiting.
Why don’t we break out of here already? We could easily escape from this place. Just an invisibility spell and we could walk out home free.
I say we just get rid of the place. They are all worthless lives here. They don’t contribute to this society other than possible soldiers.
“You people always complaining” He said. Wiggling his arms trying to get a bit more comfortable in his jacket.
Hey why don’t we just escape? Really, there are something that’s we can do out there. Good or bad.
He look at the door once more counting the seconds before the orderly would come in and force feed him the medicines. The medicine which had he had learned was slowly losing effect. He felt that he would only loose some of his magical control. The more they gave them him the medicine the more his body was able to resist it and he was given more control of the magic around him. He realized that he was able to use most of the level 3 magic spell. It had been too long since he had stepped out into the fresh air of the world.

The two orderlies came in. One unicorn and a big buff earth pony. The unicorn took out a needle and used his magic to make it levitate.
“Hold him” said the unicorn. The buff pony walked over to him.
“Enough.” The unicorn looked at him. The buff pony gave a wry smile, he looked as though he would enjoy what he thought was coming next.
“Now now, mister genius. You need your meds. Both douses” said the unicorn.
Now we unleash hell.
“My. Name. Is. Magnum Rune. Respect me as your Superior.” He called upon some of the magical power around him, the unicorn look very surprised and scared as he realized what was going on. Magnum Rune said a small incantation and the air became terribly hot.
Kill them kill them both.
Don’t do it. They aren’t worth the magic.
NO. They don’t deserve to live after what they done to us.
Yes but what message will that send to the other ponies. We aren’t killers.

But that was because they struck first.

You have been out voted.” Looked at the orderlies, “You guys are lucky only one of us is a killer.” He altered the incantation, finishing it to become a flame teleportation spell. He didn't have any place he wanted to go. He just wanted off the forsaken rock he was forced to live on. He laughed as the explosion took him away to somewhere he hoped could they could at least follow.
He landed in a strange meadow. The grass was green and the night sky was a bright with stars all around. Magnum Rune was ecstatic, immediately he gave himself a small power incantation and ripped the sleeves from the jacket. There weren't any hoof holes but he didn't care. He just lay down on the ground and looked up at the stars.
The Princess Luna makes these star constellations and can rearrange them nightly. Its actually a very simple spell however it requires an immense amount of magical control and power that only alicorns are given. I find that the magic could be put to better usage.
Indeed. Power should be given to those who deserve it.

“Can we shut up and enjoy the sky as it is?” Rune said out loud making sure they heard him. They obligingly shut up and Rune sat there watching the constellations move a fraction per hour. Eventually Magnum began to see the sky darken and he realized that this was the first time in decades he was falling asleep.
Fluttershy was walking around through the meadow that she called her back yard. A couple of squirrels had told her that a strange thing had landed there in a small circle of ashes appear around him. Fluttershy thought that this was strange but she didn't really expect to see anything. Squirrels had to do very much do in the short time of day due to predators so if a squirrel said he had seen something interesting or strange could just be a tree fallen down or a wagon left there by some careless owner. So she took angel and they walked over to the large expanse looking for what the squirrel called strange. During this, Fluttershy was going through a bit of existential crisis.
Rarity had been pressuring her to live out a little and at least go into a couple parties that thrown by Pinky Pie. Yet every time she tried there was something that would scare her or something that would put her off and she would ignore the whole thing and head back home. She was trying hard to get involved as Rarity had brought her along a couple of her escapades but she wouldn’t stay long as something would again disgruntle her into leaving. She felt bad because she knew Rarity was trying hard to get her to be a little more social and have fun when out and about.
“Oh what do I do Angel? I know that she means good but I don’t really want to go to those things. They’re too loud, there are too many people just dancing. And I really don’t want to dance in front of such a large crowd. I just don’t know what to do?” Fluttershy complained to her little friend. Angel as usual was listening but also getting work done. Angel knew that Fluttershy was too nice to burden someone else with her problems and so resorted to dropping them on him to which he could do nothing of. However he knew that this helped somewhat and made it easier for Fluttershy later in the day. He just shrug trying to say ‘you can’t really help being you can you?’
“I guess you’re right but I have to at least be nice about these things. If only I wasn’t so easily scared or was a little bit like Rainbow.” Fluttershy complained more in a hopeful tone. However Angel had stopped listening as he had spotted the ash spot and there was a strange sight there. He jumped onto Fluttershy’s back and pointed to where it was.
“Oh, you found something. OK let’s go see what made the squirrels startled.” Fluttershy agreed. As they got closer they found a pony with a clay colored coat and strangely red mane and tail. It was as if it the color was pulsating. She tore herself away from it and looked fully at the pony. He wasn’t moving which made her worry and he seemed to be wearing some sort of strange jacket. Around him was a small circle of ash, this was a bit scary because it was a perfect circle and she remembered Twilight saying something bad when there are perfect circle of anything since it means magical stuff. She bent down and inspected the pony. There was a faint breathing and his heart beat was going strong. She guessed that something magical had gone wrong and so he was just sleeping. She bent over the pony’s ear and tried to wake the pony up by nudging it and saying "Excuse me sir. Could you please wake up." No response, "Sir, um, I need you to wake up now, your disturbing the wild life." Again, no response. This cycle went on for a couple of minutes as well, Fluttershy getting fractionally louder as well with every attempt. Eventually Angel had a go which consisted of him jumping up and down on the pony’s chest. This didn’t work as well and Fluttershy was getting more worried because this had never happened before. Angel was very good at getting people to wake up or shut up. Not only that, but if some pony was still asleep while a fairly large rabbit jumping on their chest must not be ok.
Fluttershy stopped Angel and bent down to the pony again. ‘The breathing was fine and the so was the heart beat but why isn’t he waking up?’ Fluttershy bent down over the pony and asked, “Please wake up! Are you okay?” It took a while but response came in the form of a large and in-pony snore. Fluttershy jumped back in fright and jumped behind Angel who was also terrified. Once the pony finished that one snore, he exhaled and then rolled over as if he was on the stiff side of the bed. Fluttershy sighed in relief as this meant that the pony wasn’t injured or in any medical danger, just very tired. However she thought that he might need a better bed than the ground cause then he would wake up with a sore back. She called over a bunch of butterflies which helped her carry the poor pony to her house.
Magnum Rune woke up with a jolt. And looked up to see a room that was very appealing and nature-esk.
“Where are we?”

Look i am sorry if you are reading this and just see colors on what you can guess are other voices inside someones head. The problem is that for some reason, the site doesn't have different font styles while writing something here. I don't know if you can because i have tried every button and all i could do was change some colors around. So instead of cool fonts for each voice, I am stuck with colors.

“Change color. I haven’t heard of a pony doing that.” Said a voice from behind Rune. Rune jumped and immediately turned around falling into a fight stance. Whoever the pony was that startled him seemed to be even more startled and scared and disappeared behind the door way she just entered through. Magnum was actually a bit startled by the pony’s fear and relaxed a bit. It had appeared that the pony hadn’t heard his conversation with him selves.
“I am sorry, it is just that you had startled us- I mean me.”
Good. Keep messing up like that and we will be in back in the white rooms in no time.
Magnum sat back down on the couch bed he had woken up on. As he did so, he saw out of the corner of his eye that the pony was coming out slowly. To his surprise, it was a mare and a good looking one at that.

“Hello.” Magnum said tentatively. He wasn't very comfortable talking to mares as much as he wished.
“Good Morning. Are you alright?” the mare asked coming slowly showing Magnum that she was carrying a tray of food.

“Zip it fellas” Magnum whispered to himself. He cleared his throat and asked “What do you mean?”
“Well when we found you, me and Angel that is,” the rabbit popped out from behind the mare’s mane, “You were sleeping so hard that even Angel couldn't get you up. Not only that but you seemed to be surrounded by a circle of ash. We were wondering if something bad magical happened”
“Oh no its nothing. We- I mean I haven’t slept in a while so I light a little fire to warm myself up while I slept.”
“How long has it been since you slept?”
“568 years” Magnum said instantly. He had been counting in his cell for years and had the number memorized as it was some of the only things he could do.
“What?!” the mare asked stunned.
“I meant days. Sorry. I get my words confused sometimes. You know, sleep deprivation.” Magnum corrected himself.

I was being sarcastic.
“Oh ok then. Well I have some food for you if you’re hungry”. She laid the tray on the small night stand next to the bed. It was good looking meal of buttered toast, milk, some chopped dandelions and an assortment of fruit.

Magnum grabbed the food and began to scarf it all down. It took about a minute and a half to eat all the food and he knew he was still hungry. He turned to the filly he seemed surprise that the food had basically disappeared and said “Thank you very much Ms.…”
“Fluttershy. It’s Fluttershy” she said.

“Well, Ms. Fluttershy. Could I get some more food? It’s been a while since I’ve eaten food this good.” Magnum asked. Fluttershy nodded and said “OK coming up.” As she went out the room she asked “And, um what is, um your name, sir?”
“Magnum Rune” he said. She nodded and left the room. Magnum smiled and as she saw the nice lady go make some more food.
You realise you just used your real name. Meaning that if she ask about you; you can't bamboozle your way to escape your predicament.
“Buck” Magnum said putting his hoof to his head.
It’s fine; she doesn't seem like pony who would just give up someone to the prison.

“We aren’t killing anyone” Magnum got up and started an incantation, “Now let’s change the color palette” The incantation completed, magical aura covered him and he thought of the new colors. Once he was done the magic aura dropped and his new coat and mane glistened a bit. He had decided to go with a darker shade of sky blue and his mane was dark green with purple highlights. During the transformation he felt that he should change his eyes while he was at it, they were now too dark to distinguish from the pupil which he liked.
Color is definitely different.
They shouldn’t guess it’s you now.
“I am going to have to get used to it.” Magnum said looking in the mirror. Magnum turned around and saw the little rabbit he remembered as Angel. Angel had his little jaw open which made sense considering what he'd seen Magnum wasn't surprised.

So. They might cast a talking spell on him.
"The thing is. I invented that spell and never released it to the public"

Magnum kneeled down and looked at the little rabbit still with his jaw hanging low near his large feet. Magnum had his hoof to push the move closed and said, "Look. How about we make a deal, you don't talk about this and I don't turn you into a fly. And trust me, I can do that."

Fluttershy was a bit scared of her new resident. He seemed off a little bit; this wasn't helped by his constant slip ups of referring to himself as 'we'. Also talking about changing his mane and coat made her wonder what kind of a past he had. Yet even though all of that, she had a genuine feel that she would like this pony. It was the same feeling she had when she first meet Twilight. She knew that she was going to be her friend just after talking to her for a while and of felt the same way with this strange pony.
"Oh, I wonder where Angel went." Fluttershy wondered out loud. Then she heard the thumping of Angel’s feet and saw that he was jumping down the stairs in earnest. Once he was on the table he starting gesturing wildly. Fluttershy couldn’t make out all of it, as he was going a bit too fast. however she was able to make out that he was talking about someone. She was about to ask what she was talking about but she heard the ding of toaster. She turned to and grabbed the toast and cut up some fruit and decided to take out the cake that she made a few days ago for Rarity who couldn't come due to sickness. She cut a piece of corn bread cake and place on the tray along with the rest of the food.
“I am sorry Angel but could you tell me later. Mister Magnum Rune seems a bit hungry and I have to give him food.” Fluttershy said. Angel shook his hands, then thought for a moment and then nodded vehemently. Once Fluttershy got up stairs she looked to see a pony who looked a lot like Magnum just with a different coat and mane. The pony looked at her and smiled, Fluttershy thought that this was an uninvited guest and squealed in fear yelling, “Please don’t hurt me! You can take what you want just don’t hurt me Mr. Robber thief sir”
“Oh god, I am sorry Ms. Fluttershy. It’s only me, Magnum Rune. I just did a bit of changing up”
Fluttershy took her hooves from over her head and took another look at the stallion in front of her. He looked exactly the same as Magnum Rune; same physics, same hungry look, same eye shape, same mane and tail style. She looked at the cutie mark he had as it was the first time she took a good look at it. It should a hat that were common to magicians but had four other smaller ones yet different hats. One was slouched, one was pristine, the third was tattered and the last was outlined as the entire hat was black.
"See. Good ol'. Me" he said having to stop for a millisecond to say 'me'. Fluttershy managed to stammer out "H-h-how did you..? Your coat!? Your mane!?"
"I used what you had the bathroom. Don't worry. Nothing was ruined" he said, gesturing to the bathroom. There a couple of bottle on the floor and a small bowl that she uses for face painting when he young fillies came over.
"But I don’t have any hair dyes. How could you do that in the short amount of time it took for me to make you your breakfast?"
"I am a chemist. Making dyes is what I do for a living" he said picking up some of the food.
"Really? That sounds interesting" Fluttershy said getting to know him a little more, "what company did you work for?"
"It went out of business a while back. It was called Pharmacy Dreams" he said after finishing his tray again.
"So what have you been doing that has made you so tired?" she couldn't help asking.
"Oh just stuff. Nothing important." he said inadvertently, "But what about you? I have noticed that there are quite a few animals live here. Are you a vet of some sort?"
"You could say that? I am the caretaker of all the forest creatures here."
"That’s amazing! You take care of all of them? How do you know what's wrong with them?" he asked amazed. Fluttershy could see that he was genuinely surprised at this. She smiled responding, "I have a gift that lets me speak to animals."
"You mean like through words? Like they say things that get translated into word in your mind?" he asked showing a little bit of worry.
"No not like that. I just understand what they mean to say, like if they want something then I can get a general idea of what they want." she consoled. He gave a little sigh of relief.
"Well since I am here, where am I?" he asked turning to her.
"You’re in Ponyville. It's a town not far from Canterlot."
"Do you have a world map? I have been.... Um..... Out of touch with today society for a while now" he said scratching his mane. Fluttershy nodded and left downstairs to go get one of the map she had. She always had maps for times to go into the forest to get some herbs for medicines, but she also had some world maps too. She had to look through her desk which took some time due to it being terribly cluttered. It took her while but she got it. She turned to go back up the stairs but almost ran into Magic Rune who had decided to come down.
"Actually, I have a better idea. Why don't you show me around town."
"What?" she said in surprise, "But what about the map"
"No time for that." he said opening the door, "As one wise pony once said 'No time like the present'" and he took off outside.
