A New Spice of Life

               "Goooooooood morning everyone! And welcome to the Early Bird Radio Talk Show! My name is---" The announcer was silenced with a quick THUMP as I withdrew my fist and rubbed my eyes. Before jumping out of bed, I took a quick gander around my room, my eyes finally landing on the calendar. I looked between the calendar and the clock, blinking in confusion as I notice that the alarm woke me up at 6:15, not at seven. "Ugh, I got up in a panic for nothing." I grumble, as I quickly try to kick the sheets of my body in order to get a fresh start.

               Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't get to thoroughly introduce myself! My name is Kassandra Francesa Foster, but my friends always call me "Kass" or "Kasie". I'm known as the "talented, skeptic artist" who always has to question things before I do them. Hey, call it a force of habit if you like, but it's just how I roll. I am a hardcore pegasister, a great fan of the show, "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic." My sister calls me obsessed JUST because I draw a lot of the girls. RAINBOW DASH FOREVER! (Alright, that's enough about me, back to the story.)

              It didn't make sense for me to go back to bed on a beautiful June morning, and it wasn't just an ordinary day. It was also GRADUATION DAY! After weeks of struggling with Regents and final exams, the day is finally here! No more bitchy teachers for Margaret S. Douglas Intermediate Middle School! Yeah, and after the ceremony, the prom starts at 6:00. At first, I thought that the principal was a loon, but the assumption is apparently true. Who has graduation and prom on the same day, seriously?! I slumped over as I stood up and headed to the bathroom.

             After getting a shower (I needed that, by the way) and wrapping myself in a towel, I heard a sudden chirp from my Viper. Turns out, my best friend Lori wanted to hang out: coming 2 da salon? . I smile briefly and reply: yeah, be right there soon. myl. I jump into some clothes and inform my mom that I would be back soon.

           Little did I know that today was the beginning of a new adventure, as six ponies made their plans....

           "...If I add this here...no that'll mess up the equation...would I have to draw more rune markings?" Princess Twilight Sparkle mumbled as she was trying to prepare the environment for the new spell that she stumbled upon in the basement of the Books and Branches Library. As soon as she found a new long-range teleportation spell, she knew she had to test it.

The lavender alicorn had set up a hangout date with her friends and they were due to come over soon. "Oh, I can't wait for them to arrive! They'll be so excited." Twilight stated as there was a sharp knock on the library door. She lit up her horn to answer the door.

            "Heya, Twi'. How's it hanging?" Rainbow Dash was the first to step inside as the other four followed suit with their own greetings. Twilight motioned for all of them to come inside and make themselves at home.

          "Hey, Twilight! Are we gonna do something super FUN today? Huh, are we?" Pinkie Pie asked as she bounced about in the library.

           " Well, Pinkie, you could say that." Twilight replied, "And stop bouncing around. You might mess up the rune markings."

       "Rune markings? But whatever do you need rune markings for, darling?" Rarity questioned as she spied the detailed sketch on the floor, careful not to step on it.

        "Glad you asked, Rarity. I'm using these rune markings as a way to conduct my magic in order to perform a long-range teleportation spell I was going to test as soon as you girls got here."

           "Do ya know 'xactly what those rune markings will do?" Applejack asked, still skeptical.

           Twilight looked a bit nervous before saying, "I have a slight idea. Bur it wouldn't harm you girls. At least, I hope it wouuldn't..." she whispered under her breath.

           "Um...if Twilight knows what she's doing, I-I guess it's okay," considered Fluttershy.

           "Alright then, step inside the circle." The five mares obeyed as Twilight lit up her horn. "Here goes nothing..."

            The candles in the library flickered as Twilight concentrated in the center of the room, sparks flying from her magenta aura. There was a great flash of light...then nothing as the six mares stumbled into an unconscious state.
