While these words are filled with truth and wisdom, it doesn't mean its necessarily right. Equestria, since its founding had a few bumps in the road but for the most part have enjoyed a near utopia like status with signs pointing it'll continue for even more centuries to come. But time is a fickle river, and with it comes change.

When the Crystal Empire returned from exile, they thought it would bring another opportunity to finally finish what they started a millenia ago. Another chance to clean the slate and start over, but just defeating King Sombra wasn't enough to wipe the slate. No. Sombra was just the newest layer, and in order for them clean it… they'll need to reach the original layer.

They need to find the one that corrupted Sombra and slay them.
