The Demon's Within

Ravestorm walked out of the fire room with a smile on his face. He just learned a powerful thunder move that could be very useful. He looked to his left and saw the hall of doors, he breathed in and out as he walked to the next door. He looked up and saw that it said 'Ice' on the top of it. He used magic to turn the nob and he walked in.

The room was white and had snow everywhere. It was very cold and it made Ravestorm shiver. He looked forward and saw a dark figure moving throughout the snow, he closed his eyes and breathed. He then opened his eyes and then walked towards the snow. A blizzard surrounded him but he continued to move on, he then saw the figure becoming more visible.

The figure was the shape of an Equestrian mare; he then looked further as his eyes went wide. He saw a light blue coat, a dark and light blue mane, blue eyes, and a crystal cutiemark. It was Crystal Clear.

"…How?" Ravestorm said with shock.

"Hello Ravestorm, it has been a long time." She said with a smile.

"How are you here? You're dead." Ravestorm said.

"Yes I am. But this is your soul, not reality. These rooms give you an opponent that it highly skilled in that category. I happened to be incredibly strong at Ice." She responded.

"Then I guess I have to fight you. But first, one question…why did you help Dark Midnight and the Dark Sun?" He asked.

"Because I was a spy for the ESDF and I was assigned with getting information out of the Dark Sun. I got a lot but then Dark Midnight assigned me with killing Trixie and capturing you. If I hadn't done it, my mission would be a failure, if I did do it, then I would be a traitor to Equestria. So at that point, I already knew that I was going to die by either Dark Midnight or the ESDF." She explained.

"…Wow, I'm sorry that you had to die." Ravestorm said with sincerity.

"If I had to die, I would've wanted it while preparing you. I believe that you can defeat Dark Midnight. But you need to get much stronger, and I know you can. So, let's get this started." She said getting in her battle stance.

"I guess I have no choice." Ravestorm said getting in his battle stance.

(Mudvayne- Happy?)

Ravestorm came at her fast with a trail of white magic flowing behind him, he went in front of her and swung his hind hoof to her real fast, but she was able to grab it with her hoof. She didn't even move an inch; she then used his hoof to throw him away.

(In this hole, that is me, the dead are rolling over, in this hole, thickening, dirt shoveled over shoulders.)

Crystal appeared above him and kicked him hard to the ground. There was a cloud of smoke from the dust on the impact, she entered it and looked for Ravestorm but got a face-full of hoof. She got moved just a bit as she looked to her left, Ravestorm had expected to knock her out with a powerful punch, but that just made her pissed off. She threw an ice blast at him as he flew out of the dust cloud.

(I feel it in me, so overwhelmed, oh, this pressured center rising, my life overturned, unfair the despair, all these scars keep ripping open.)

"Heaven Shaking Thunder Cannon!" Ravestorm yelled as a gigantic blast of yellow electricity was sent towards Crystal. She got hit hard and was sent flying. Ravestorm went over to her and held out his hoof, he had won this fight. Crystal grabbed his hoof and flipped him down to his back.

(Peel me from the skin, tear me from the rind, does it make you happy now?)

Crystal got off of him and did a few back-flips to get away from Ravestorm. "Black Ice." She said as she glowed in a dark blue aura. She ran at him fast as Ravestorm jumped back up onto his hooves and threw a blast of thunder magic, but she evaded it and threw a black blast of ice towards Ravestorm. His eyes went wide as he managed to evade it.

(Tear meat from the bone, tear me from myself, are you feeling happy now?)

Ravestorm jumped up and levitated in the air. Crystal looked up and then closed her eyes. "Ice Roses." She said as she opened her eyes. Ravestorm looked up as roses made of ice were flying down slowly. He examined them closely and saw that they were going faster. One went down to him but he jumped out of the way.

(In this hole, that is me, a life that's growing feeble, in this hole, so limiting, the sun has set; all darkens)

When the Ice Roses fell to the ground, large shards of ice appeared from the ground. Ravestorm kept on dodging them until Crystal teleported behind him and kicked him towards one of them; he hit it and was concealed in ice.

(Buried underneath, hands slip off the wheel, internal path-way to contention)

Crystal smiled as she walked over to the fully-encased Ravestorm. She believed she had won until a white flash appeared inside of it. She ran away from the ice crystal as it exploded in many pieces. Ravestorm flew from the shards of ice and punched Crystal right in the face hard. Her eyes widened as she was sent flying fast.

(Peel me from the skin, tear me from the rind, does it make you happy now?)

Ravestorm appeared above her and sent a large blast of electricity as her. Crystal quickly evaded it while in mid-air, she grabbed Ravestorm's hoof and wrapped her hind legs around his chest and squeezed tightly. He was heaving and turning blue because he couldn't breathe. He grabbed her hind hooves and tried to spread them apart but she had a tight grip. He used his only hoof left to blast her away.

(Tear meat from the bone, Tear me from myself, Are you feeling happy now?)

Crystal fell back as Ravestorm appeared behind her, she turned around as Ravestorm went down and upper-cutted her high up into the air. He then jumped up and appeared behind her. He put his hooves around her stomach and then turned them both upside down and then spun like a tornado. Her eyes widened as he slammed her head-first on the solid ground. He managed to teleport before they made impact.

(Are you HAPPY? Are you HAPPY? Are you feeling happy?)

She tried to get up but was exhausted. Ravestorm was also exhausted but Crystal was hurt badly. Ravestorm walked over to her slowly. He noticed that her body began to glow light blue. A blinding flash appeared that blinded Ravestorm.

(In this hole, that is me, left with a heart exhausted, what's my release? What sets me free? Do you pull me up just to push me down again?)

She was rising up from off the ground through levitation. The snow and ice from around them was all going towards her, she had pure white eyes as the snow and ice started to circle around her fast. There was another blinding flash, but Ravestorm put his hoof on his eyes. When he opened his eyes, his eyes widened. Crystal appeared but had a longer mane and tail; she also had a white and light blue glowing armor along with a large black sword. She was also glowing a dark blue aura. "Snow Priestess." She said as she looked at Ravestorm.

(Peel me from the skin, tear me from the rind, does it make you happy now?)

Ravestorm could feel her spiritual energy, it was terrifyingly strong. He got up, but was being held back by her overwhelming energy. She teleported right next to Ravestorm without a flash and punched him hard in the face, he didn't even see her move and was sent back flying. He did a backflip in order to get back on his hooves.

(Tear meat from the bone, tear me from myself, are you feeling happy?)

Ravestorm growled as he shot multiple electricity shots towards her, but she was dodging them as if they were nothing. She teleported all over the place, but it looked like images of her were appearing everywhere and disappearing. He flew over to her and swung at her, but she caught his hoof and blasted his face with ice magic.

(Peel me from the skiiiiiiiiiin, peel me from the skiiiiiiiiiin, tear me from the rind, does it make you happy now?)

He broke the ice over his face and teleported back. He closed his eyes and looked within for more power, but couldn't sense anything. He started to tremble because he thought he was going to die. Crystal appeared in front of him and swung; he opened his eyes and barely dodged her attack. He kicked her away and then teleported back more.

(Tear me from the boooooooooone, tear me from the boooooooooone, tear me from myself, Are you feeling happy?)

She kept on flying towards him in order to stop him from charging his power. Ravestorm needed a plan, and fast. He thought quickly while dodging her attacks. He finally thought of an idea. "Smoke bomb!" He yelled as she shot a flame to the ground, it made impact to the ground and then turned into steam.

(Does it make you happy? Are you feeling happy? Are you fucking happy? Now that I'm lost left with nothing!)

Crystal looked inside of the smoke and saw Ravestorm standing there. She took advantage of her opportunity and shot multiple ice beams towards him. He didn't even make a move to evade it as he was concealed in ice. She thought hard and then her eyes widened. Ravestorm started to melt inside of the ice. She then felt a large massive spiritual energy coming from behind her.

(Does it make you happy? Are you feeling happy? Are you fucking happy? Now that I'm lost left with nothing!)

"Heaven Shaking Thunder Cannon!" Crystal turned around and saw Ravestorm throwing a huge electric blast of energy at her. It was too fast to evade, so she tried to use her own blast of magic but then the blast went faster and hit Crystal in the chest. She was sent flying, her form expired and she landed on the ground. She had no more energy left, Ravestorm won the fight.

He walked over to her and bent down so that their eyes were meeting. Crystal smiled and said this "I now believe that you can beat Dark Midnight. He still has more power than you, but you are a quick thinker, and that will win any fight. I shall now give you a new move. It is called Black Ice. Not the move from earlier. It's a permanent move that allows you ice spells to become more power fuller." She said as Ravestorm nodded.

Crystal got up and was barely standing. She brought out her hoof as black ice appeared around her entire hoof. She then punched Ravestorm in the chest as ice went all around him, his eyes widened as he was encased in ice. A few seconds later, the ice shattered and Ravestorm came out of it.

"That's it?" Ravestorm asked.

"Yes." Crystal said with a smile. Ravestorm nodded as Crystal nodded. She looked up into the sky and then her body became transparent like a visible-ghost. She flew up into the sky and finally disappeared. Ravestorm sighed and finally walked towards the door. He looked back for a second and sighed, he then opened the door and walked out of it.
