Crimson & Clover

Prologue

"Hey, Burnout! Over here!" Yelled unicorn from across the plaza, she had a minty green coat and stunning amber eyes.

"How's it going Lyra?" asked the grey stallion with two squealing tires for a cutie mark as he trotted over.

"Pretty good, Octavia and Vinyl are letting me stay over at their place while I'm in Ponyville."

"When are you going anyway?" He already knew, but he thought he would check.

"In three days! This is going to be amazing, we'll play board games and go to concerts and have parties and we'll... and... I dunno' what else we'll do, But it'll be awesome!" Lyra screamed.

"I'll leave ya' to that. just make sure you come back in time for your birthday." the stallion chuckled.

They went their separate ways, the stallion going to the shopping district and the mare going home. She had often wondered what it was like in a small town. he got E-mails from Ocavia and Vinyl occasionally describing what it was like, but she wanted to live it, the small town life, performing on street corners to please the other residents of the town, instead of getting mugged.

The mare finally arrived at her home "My hooves are killing me." she said to herself. She unlocked her door and laid her things down. Maybe I should start packing, she thought to herself as she headed up the stairs of her Manehattan home.

Two days later

lyra was about ready to leave when she suddenly remembered that there was one thing that she had forgotten to pack, she ran up the stairs and into her bedroom to grab a picture of her and her family, then headed off yelling "Small town here I come!"
