Introduction

Just a little foreknowledge to help you understand the story a little better.

Seth Price, the narrator, is a musician, scientist, and an avid reader.  He likes anything that has to do with science, mathematics, music, and, of course, My Little Pony.  He is twelve years old (as of the beginning of the story), turning thirteen within the next month.  Seth is not as social as Luke, but he still has many good friends.

Luke Elam, the second main character, is a musician, gamer, and everybody's best friend.  He likes to play Xbox, socialise with friends, read, and play instruments.  At least at the beginning of the story, he isn't a brony.  He is also twelve years old at the beginning of the story, turning thirteen two months after Seth.  Luke is calm and kind to everybody, which is why he seems to be everybody's friend.

Both Luke and Seth come from a small city in north-central West Virginia called Clarksburg.  They currently attend middle school as seventh-graders and share a lot of characteristic traits, especially their sense of humour and liking of music.  Seth and Luke are very close friends, and have been since the age of nine.
