Equestrian Assassin
First day on the job
Previous ChapterNext ChapterWell that was the story of how I became a pony. After I met Fluttershy not to much happened except for I met her other friends Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and rainbowdash(who also questioned me per my name and title), nothing really happened until I got my first contract.
I woke up to the weak winter sunrise and got ready to go and help out in town for some bits. I clipped on my armour and bracers. Tested the blades and walked out the door and was hit in the face by a small grey pony with a blond mane. She shook the snow from her pelt and went to her saddle bags, in search of something. She pulled out a letter and placed it on the ground in front of me.
"I'm really sorry about that mister." She said shyly backing away.
"It alright." I said opening up the letter with my blade.
"Ooo, how did you get that knife to come out of your wrist like that?" She said in utter fascination.
"Oh, it's just a spring loaded gauntlet with a blade attached to the underside. You wouldn't happen to know who sent this would you." I asked raising an eyebrow.
"Nope, just who to give it to." She said. Turning around and flying off. I closed the door behind her and read through the letter again.
Dear Ezio,
I know your to from here and I figured you want to help out around town. Well I have a Jon for you.i have seen you and the equipment that you wear. Your a killer, don't deny it. But anyway, there is this potion make that lives in Canterlot. I want you to find him, and end him. If you need to know why, he sold my sister a bad potion and I killed her. If you do it successfully, I'll give you 800 bits. Well come in contact when the job is finished.
Your friend.
P.S. burn this letter. Can't have anyone finding out if you fail.
I threw the letter into the fire and let it burn as I went and got my things. I fastened my sword and dagger to my belt. I pulled my cloak over my head and went for the train.
The train ride was a long one. I got tired very quickly and considered going to sleep, but I needed to be aware of my surroundings. And sleep would just deaden my senses. When we arrived in town I cracked my neck and ran at the wall. I had perfected my skills since becoming a pony. I hustled up the wall as fast as I could. As I reached the top I stood up on two legs and looked down at every pony. I blew a kiss to a few mare who giggled before I turned around and ran towards the potion makers shop. I had reached it right when the sun had set. I jumped down, bracing myself for the landing and sat down on a bench putside of the shop and waited. A little bit later it started to rain and I thanked myself that my hood was waterproof. When the potion maker walked out, he cursed and started to run down the street I followed him.
It had been a long day consulting with ponies who wanted potions for stupid things like love. And this cursed rain didn't make his day any better. When he arrived at his home he pulled out the key and went for the door. He heard a swooshing and looked over his shoulder to see a hooded figure standing there behind him.
"We need to talk buddy." The cloaked figure said. "You sold a potion to a pony a few weeks ago, it killed her. Did you know it would do this to her." The figure said.
"What does it matter what happened to lacy." The potion maker said turning around to open the door. "What are you gonna do about it."
"Ever heard the saying an eye for an eye." The cloaked one said yanking the key out of the potion makers mouth with his magic. "Let's just say I'm here to collect lacy's eye." He's said bringing his hoof back, unsheathing his hidden blade and plunging it into the potion makers eye. The potion maker screamed and writhed in pain for a moment and then went still.
It felt strange. Taking another ponies life. But there was no time to dwell on that. I withdrew my hoof from the potion maker's eye, it and my armour covered in blood on the right cuff. I picked up his body and placed it on a bench and made it look like he was reading. I quickly scaled the wall and made my way back towards the train. No doubt the scream had attracted the royal guard.
Three days later I was at home, when the same mare knocked on my door. I opened it up and stared at the big package that she had hanging from her jaws.
"Hi there mister, this arrived this morning for you. Have I seen you somewhere before." She asked giving me the package and cocking her head sideways.
"Ya, you delivered a letter here three days ago." I said.
"Hm," she said scratching her chin. "I delivered a lot of letters three days ago." I then flicked my wrist out and the blad shot out and I opened up the package. "Oh your that guy. I thought you had white cloths."
"I did, I got them dyed red." I said looking down at my armour.
"Oh cool. I guess I'll be seeing you." She said turning and flying away. I closed the door and picked up the note.
Thank you was all it said. I looked down at the pouch and jingled it. 800 bits. Wow.
