The Equestrian Intelligence Agency 2: Dark Sides
Lightning flashed, illuminating the rather dark bedroom in a bright, white light. The resulting thunder clap caused a certain gray unicorn mare who was sitting at a large oak desk next to the massive bed to jump a little, before she returned to what she was doing.
A small candle burned on the desk, providing the mare with a small source of light. Also on the desk were multiple crumpled up pieces of paper, and several plates of partially eaten food. You could tell that the mare had been sitting at the desk for a while.
The unicorn mare finished writing down a sentence, before holding up the piece of paper to the candlelight to see. Smiling, she placed the paper back down on her desk, before slowly getting up. She stretched her legs a bit, before walking over to the small dresser on the opposite side of the bed, and pulled out a rather large looking book titled “The Journal of Starswirl The Bearded”.
Opening the book to the first page, the mare grabbed the envelope that was inside, before closing the book, and placed it back into the dresser. Chuckling to herself, the gray mare quickly trotted back over to her desk, before opening the envelope and pulled out a letter. She layed out the letter next to the piece of paper she was writing on seconds before, and started circling various things in the letter. After a few minutes of circling and making edits to the paper, the gray mare placed her quill on the paper before reading the paper.
Dear Dragonfire,
Congratulations, you’ve managed to decipher this letter. I knew you’d figure out the code I used eventually. I know you’re bitter about Laurence, but you’ve still got an opportunity to ruin the pony responsible. Located under the tulip section of your mansion’s garden is a box, and inside that box is a scroll, a chocolate éclair, and a enchanted bodysuit. The scroll contains a curse, which you will apply to the éclair, and then take it to Sky Hawk at his Induction Banquet in Canterlot. How will you get into the banquet you ask? That’s where the bodysuit comes in. When worn, the suit will effectivly change you into Rainbow Dash, visually and vocally. Don’t worry about the real Rainbow Dash ruining things, she’ll be drugged on the day of the banquet, and won’t wake up until the next morning. Once you deliver the éclair, you will then leave the banquet, and head back to your house. Lay low, and things will play out in the coming days. I wish you the best of luck, and I will be watching your progress.
Signed,
L.H
Dragonfire frowned, before placing the deciphered letter down. “If you listened to me Laurence, you’d still be alive and I wouldn’t have do all this work!” she muttered before getting back to her hooves. She paused for a few seconds, before walking over to a coat rack and grabbed the black coat hanging on it. After throwing the coat on, Dragonfire quickly opened to door out of the room, and walked out into the hallway.
Another flash of lightning lit the house, followed quickly by a very big thunder clap. The thunderclap was so loud that it caused the glass in the mansion to rattle, and caused Dragonfire to shudder a bit. It took her a few seconds to regain her composure, before she trotted down the staircase next to her room, and out into the pouring rain.

Muttering under her breath, Dragonfire closed the door to her room, and threw her soaked coat to the ground. This better work, or I’m going to find this LH pony and put him down hard. Dragonfire thought to herself. She had spent half an hour in the pouring rain digging up her tulip garden, before she finally found the box that L.H had told her about.
The box in question was a rather large wooden box with weird emblem on in. The emblem showed a serpent coiled around a sword, and the words “Pulling the Strings” underneath it. The mare placed the box down on her desk, before taking a seat. A bead of sweat formed on her brow as she slowly grabbed the lid to the box, and removed it.
The first object that came into sight was the chocolate éclair. Surprisingly, the chocolate éclair was still in perfect condition, and the mare had to resist taking a bite. Gently taking the éclair out of the box, Dragonfire spotted a rather old looking scroll.
Which shaky hooves, she slowly lifted the scroll out of the box, and placed it on the table. The scroll was sealed with the same emblem from the box, and was yellow from age. Dragonfire nervously pulled out a pocket knife from one of the compartments in the desk, and stared at the scroll. Gulping, she wiped off a bead of sweat off her brow, before lowering the knife to the seal. “I need to read this scroll eventually. Here goes nothing” She muttered to herself, before cutting away the seal.
It took a few moments for the scroll to unfurl itself, and a few moments more for Dragonfire to read the contents. The curse was written in a weird language that Dragonfire had never seen before. Taking a deep breath, she focused her magical energy on the éclair, and read the words on the scroll out loud.
Suddenly, a huge flash of red and blue energy shot out of Dragonfire’s horn, and hit the éclair. Dragonfire yelped in surprise, before hopping away from the table. When she looked back at the éclair, she noticed that it was now very faintly glowing. She smiled, before placing the éclair back into the box. “Time to get my revenge.”
