For nine years Spike has been missing, with nopony having any clue as to how or why. After hearing rumors of a dragon hanging around Ponyville, the Cutie "Marked" Crusaders choose to investigate. At the same time, dragons have been settling nearby various pony towns and cities. Twilight Sparkle undertakes immediate diplomatic measures to ascertain the purpose of their movements.
