Rainbow Dash said as she scrubbed her floor. "I need to rest". She set her mop aside and went to her room. "I guess I have to do more work tomorrow, since everypony else relies on me". She sighed and sat on her bed. She thought for a minute. "I've got it! I need a vacation!" she exclaimed. That seemed to help her rest easy that night. She couldn't wait for this. She woke up the next day. She knew she needed a week, since she had to do more work. She continued with her morning exercises. Afterward she decided to spread the news to her friends... "Are ya sure 'bout that, sugarcube? Ya don't seem to look overworked ta me" applejack said. "Well I am!" said rainbow. "I need a vacation, and I just want to tell everypony". "Well ah just want ya ta be safe". Applejack said. just say it ya coward! Ya love her and want her! "well, goodbye now". Rainbow said. "Yeah, bye". Applejack said. She left for the farm. "Oh darling! that's fantastic"! Said a serene voice. It was of course Rarity. "Will you be all right on your own"? "Yes" said rainbow dash. "Oh all right" Rarity said. Darn it! I was hoping to go and seal the deal with dash! Well I cant seal the deal if we aren’t a thing "I..." she was cut off by a cloud of dust and a rainbow. "Darn it!" "Do you need a book for your trip?" asked twilight. "No" said rainbow. "Well do you want me to go with you?" asked Twi. "No, why?" oh sh(bleep) *"no reason, just be safe" said twilight reassuringly. She looked a pinkie pie (you guessed it. oh that’s cool bro wanna cookie? well too bad I aint got no cookie uh ahem) with confusion. Then she thought this was normal for pinkie. "Can I go with you?" “Well I kind of want to do this myself." "Okay" pinkie said sadly. "O...oh that's...nice. I hope you have fun." said Fluttershy. “I’m sure I will" said rainbow. "Can I go" asked Fluttershy. "I just want to go myself", replied rainbow. She left at that That night, rainbow dash just lay awake, wondering why her friends were sad about the decision for a vacation, for dash. "I know I'm great, but why did everypony look like they were about to cry? Could it be that they..." she thought for a moment. "Love me?" this she mused. "Nah, well not like that. It can't be" she said. "Who the heck am I talking to"? She continued to think. Well I’m sure it will be normal when I get back. She then fell into sleep's sweet embrace. THE NEXT MORNING A knock was heard. "What is it, squirt" she asked, when she saw Scootaloo at her door. Fluttershy was there as well, to help Scootaloo get up to rainbow dash's house in the sky. “Oh I just wanted to ask you something" said Scootaloo. "What?" replied rainbow. "Can I go with you on your vacation?" she said pleadingly. "Uh, I just want time to myself there." rainbow said as she smiled at the filly. Scootaloo gave an "awwww" as a rebuttal. "Bye" the rainbow manned Pegasus mare said as she shut the door. She continued to wonder why everypony wanted to know about the trip and go with her. im sure ill need something for the trip, she thought. Maybe a trip to Zecora's place for something. With that, she knew she should go then. She arrived that day for some potions in case of an emergency. "hello?" she spoke when she got there. "Well, well who do we have here? Why, it is rainbow. Is something wrong my dear? I hope I do not have to fear. Unless you need me to interfere." said the chant-like rhymes of Zecora. “no, zecora, nothing is wrong." said dash "well that is good. Everything is as it should. So, what is the notion, do you need a potion?" zecora asked. "Perhaps something in case you get hurt. If you fall into the dirt. "Well, yeah, I guess" rainbow dash replied sheepishly. Zecora looked at her with a slight confusion. She then spoke "why are you down? Why do you frown? Make a decision, for you are not a filly." zecora replied. “Thanks zecora" and with that she left ONE WEEK LATER "Well, I'm off" rainbow said as she waved goodbye to her friends. She didn't bother to look back. She was too excited. She needed a vacation and needed it bad. Well I’m off, she thought.
