Twilight running!

Load Full StoryNext Chapter

Twilight hurtled through the empty hallways of the foreign laboratory. If not for a quick spell before that stallion came back for her, she'd most likely be dead... or... worse! Her hooves echoed around her, as each thunderous step sent shivers of pain from her sprained ankle. Her breath came out in panting heaves, not only through her over exertion, but from the sheer unbridled fear that burned away at her insides.

She had to get out!

She had to get away!

She had to call the doctor!

Twilight burst through a set of swinging double doors, and froze. Only a few feet away, her back turned, stood an unmistakable figure... Pinkie Pie.

"Pinkie!" Twilight cried in relief at the sight of a friend, without hesitation she rushed over and placed a hoof on her pink friend's shoulder.  "I thought he took you too! Come on! We need to get out of here!" Twilight Felt Pinkie take hold of her hoof of her shoulder gently.

It was then she noticed Pinkie's hair, limp and lifeless.

"What do you mean you silly goose!" Pinkie chirruped giddily, completely shattering ever perception Twilight had of her friend when her mane was like this. She sounded happy. Ecstatic almost!

Slowly, Pinkie turned her head as far as she could. The left side of her face was clearly visible. As where the gears, turning and dragging the small belt between them, which was in turn wrapped around a thin needle lodged directly in the centre of her temple.

"N-No!" Twilight staggered back. "N-not you too!" Pinkie smiled, still not moving her head from its side on position.

"Not me? What do you mean Twilight?" Her face didn't move, but the pupil in the centre of her powder blue eyes did. They contracted to the size of a grain of sand, Twilight felt the gaze penetrate her. This was dangerous.

Horrified at what she was seeing, the magenta unicorn turned tail and ran through the swinging doors. Pinkie stayed still watching her go, then the gears stopped for a moment, then reversed their rotation. A small green light blinked into life on the end of the needle lodged in her skull.

"She's running straight to you..."

"Thank you dear Pinkie Pie, job well done..." Came a stallions voice from within her head. The pink pony smiled, happy that she had done well. She turned her head back around, and headed for the door ahead of her that Twilight hadn't noticed.

The doors creaked open slowly as only Pinkie's face was what pushed them open as she lumbered into the room. The cacophony of noises that met her ears wasn't even a surprise. The machinery that surrounded her was already a part of her, it would be like jumping in fear at a sight of your own hoof.

As the pony passed one machine, one with a glass box at its centre, there came a yell. From within the glass container, Rainbow dash came screaming into view. Her hooves slammed against the glass in vein as she tried to escape, staring in horror at her friend, who at her appearance had stopped to watch with slight interest showing across her face.

"Pinkie!" The Rainbow pegasus screamed, but the noise of her voices and hooves were demolished by the loud clanging and banging of the machinery that surrounded her. "Let me out of here!" Her mouth worded.

"Don't worry Dashie..." Pinkie smiled to her friend, who looked back in surprise, her hooves fell to the ground as she watched unsure why the altered pony had just said that.

Suddenly, a needle was shot from somewhere within the glass container. The distracted Rainbow Dash had no time to notice it before it lodged itself deep within her temple. She screamed out in pain and reached up to pull the needle from her skull. Then the green light -just like the one on Pinkie's face- blinked into life. Instantly, the cyan hooves fell back to the ground, and the fearful face simply fell into complete indifference. Pinkie kept smiling and finished her sentence to the now docile Rainbow Dash. "You don't take cupcakes out before their done! And you'll be ready to pop out of the oven any second now!"

From behind the insane pink pony, their came three others from within the gloom. All of them with the same gears and needles embedded within their faces. Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack. All of them, with the same horrible smile, slapped over their faces.

Twilight was running again, headed down the same hallway she had come back down. Seeing Pinkie had proven it! She needed to get out now, forget about her friends for now and call the doctor. Once he was here, they'd all be safe! So she needed to escape to save them!

She was met with a T-junction in the hallway, left or right. Out of blind panic the mare took the left passage, praying it was the right direction to go! Another pair of white lab doors rushed to meet her soon after the turn and without pause the mare slammed her way through.

As soon as she entered, she dug her hooves into the ground to halt herself! Wrong way!

Twilight had entered an operating room of some kind, the centre was dominated by a white operating chair, almost like the one in Dr. Colgate's office. The only difference here? This one was spattered with a liquid all along the left side of the chair, the liquid was red... In the room, somepony stood, the worst pony to be there! The stallion who captured Twilight and brought her here!

Twilight turned to escape and try the other hallway, but was met by the sight of all her friends blocking her exit. How had they followed her so easily and so quietly? At the front of the group there stood Rainbow Dash, staring back with a wide toothy grin.

"Oh no..." Twilight whispered in horror. "Rainbow Dash!" From behind her Twilight heard a low chuckle. She turned back and saw the stallion laughing as he turned to face her. His face was clean, devoid of any of those gears,  needles and lights. The only thing wrong with him, was the malicious gleam in his glowing yellow eyes.

Twilight tried to back away as best she could, but was stopped suddenly by her forelegs being grabbed by both Applejack and Rainbow Dash, halting her retreat. The stallion approached, his chuckle growing into an utter scream of amusement as he came closer, holding a needle in his hoof.

Twilight writhed in the grip of her friends, screaming in protest as he came closer.

"No! NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"
