Ravnica Underground
Perashim panted as he ran through the not so secret streets of the Dimir guild. What had he been thinking to come her to meet a client when it was obviously a trap? Geez how could he have been so stupid! Over the past few months, each guild had been trying to "persuade" him to join their cause, but he just wasn't ready yet. However, all the guild recruiters do not grasp the concept of NO at all. They all must really want him badly then. He thought to himself as he raced out into the public streets, catching the attention of a Boros patrol. It just never ended. The Boros wanted him because he had assisted them in upholding some of their laws before and was on good terms with angels, the Dimir wanted him because he was an excellent assassin and head of a small group who specialized in that trade, the Orzhov Syndicate wanted him because he was a master at necromancy and getting what he wanted, and the Izzit pursued him because while he was a necromancer, he was mainly a master wizard who knew a variety of spells and secrets long forgotten.. Perashim ducked into a nearby alley and waited silently for the Boros patrol to pass by, turning invisible just to be safe. After they passed by, he breathed a sigh of relief and opened a parcel that he had swiped from the Dimir rogue before the whole chase began. It contained information about a gate that lead to a new plane of existence. However, none had explored it yet so it would be the perfect place for him to get away for a while. He drew up his black hood over his face and began to recite a plane shift spell while his loyal floating skull familiar kept an eye out. The air turned dark around him, as the day seeme to brighten a bit. This was often one of the effects of him casting spells, it always seemed to have something to do with light and dark. A couple seconds later, a magic shockwave rocked the foundations of the houses in the alley, and the planeswalker was gone.
Gate to The Plane
Perashim sighed as he arrived near the gate. The teleporting had been a little bumpy, but nothing he couldn't handle. He paused and looked at the portal, taking in its odd pink shape- and whirled around to block the blade of a Dimir assassin with his favorite dagger.
"Not bad, for a split second there i thought you might actually be competent." Perashim taunted, stepping closer and hooking his dagger's hilt into his opponent's shortsword so that he could not disengage.
"The Dimir do not appreciate being refused." The assassin snarled back.
Perashim smiled,"Get in line dumbass, i've got quite a few guilds that i've talked to who also do not like being refused. Pretty much everyone they have sent after me has not even lasted a day thanks to you guys. So why are you just now coming after me?" He asked.
The assassin frowned, not responding.
"Fair enough." Perashim said, momentarily releasing his opponent's blade to bring up another dagger and plunge it into his adversaries heart.
"Amateur." Perashim muttered as he wiped his blade on the assassin's clothes. He turned and did another take on the portal's structure. It was odd for a portal, swirling outward instead of inward, and it seemed to have a...lighter edge to it. However, Perashim knew that it wouldn't take long for another one of the guilds to send someone after him, so he had no choice. He took a deep breathe, and stepped in....
The feeling of passing through a gate to another plane would have been intense for anyone non planeswalker, but to Perashim, it was simply like flying on the back of a dragon who did not like hitchhikers. After a few minutes of simply seeing bright pink, Perashim began to make out details, the shape of a tree, a rock there, until-
BAM!
Perashim slammed into the tree he had seen. He got up, rubbing his head and turning toward the portal to make sure that no one had followed him. Then he smiled and took in his surroundings. He was obviously in a forest, and a dense one at that. It also seemed to have unusual plant life growing through it, flowers and bushes that he hadn't seen before. The gate made a spluttering sound, which made Perashim on edge, Thats either someone else coming through, or its about to close, he thought, quickly running away from it. Regardless, he wasn't going to be around to see what happened. If the gate closed it was no problem, he could just simply make another in a month. Perashim smiled when he thought of all the free time he would get without any troublesome guilds getting in the way. Then he remembered the reason why he didn't choose any of the guilds at first. It had to do with a choice he had to make, a choice that he would be dwelling on for his time here...
Canterlot Castle
Celestia and Luna looked up from the map they were staring at, then to each other.
"Did you just feel that?" Luna asked. Celestia nodded, then replied,
"Yes, and its coming from the Everfree. As usual, but whatever it is, its not something that i have ever felt before. I had better check it out."
Luna shook her head,"No Tia, its almost nighttime. You need to get your rest, while I check it out alright?"
Celestia thought about it, then nodded,"Alright Luna, but if you get into trouble, don't hesitate to send me a message. I'll be over there as quickly as the sun shines."
Luna grinned,"You got it." Then took off.
Creature from Another World
Apple Family Farm
Perashim watched the three ponies talk amongst themselves while the older mare with a wide rimmed hat and a mane that looked a bit like hay collected apples. He was amazed at her strength, being able to kick the tree and send the apples raining down into the buckets. Could she also do something similar in combat? He wondered, not really sure if he wanted to find out. His familiar, which was simply a flying skull, screeched experimentally. Perashim quickly faded back out of the ponies' sight as they turned toward the sound.
"Dear Celestia, what is that?" The yellowish foal with the red mane a bow in her hair said as it hovered, flying in slow circles.
"Ah dunno Applebloom, but Ah don't like the look of it. Y'all just stay away from it ya hear?" The orange mare with the hat replied, putting herself between the foals and the floating skull. The skull made a clattering sound and hovered in circles above them, not really doing any harm, but also making the three ponies nervous. Perashim sighed and extended his hand and began to mutter his dark incantation.
Applejack watched the floating critter circle them, wondering what to make of it. Then was when she saw the light began to fade and a cold chill race up her spine. She glanced at the CMCs, who were shivering against her legs, scared at what was happening. Then Applejack heard the chanting. It sounded a little like Discord, but not as fun loving and much more menacing. And yet, there was a small hint of sadness in it. While Applejack looked around for the source, she saw a green ray of energy race out from somewhere in the barn and snared the critter. Then it began to proceed to pull it somewhere.
"Y'all go an get Twiliight." AJ ordered the CMCs, who nodded and watched as she followed the ray before runninf to Ponyville.
Applejack followed the green ray until the critter landed ona an outstreched....Object. It was flat, but had 5 horns protruding from it, but they didn't seem to be shapr. The horns closed around the critter and withdrew from her sightline.
"Uh, hello?" Applejack called as she heard the sound of somepony or something beginning to move away. She heard a sharp intake of breath and something crashing through the foliage. Applejack backed up quickly expecting some monster jumping out. Instead Princess Luna came tumbling out. And she did not look happy. Princess Luna snarled in frustration and leaped up.
"Hi Princess, what are you doing out here?" Applejack asked as Luna dove back into the foliage, roaring out
"Get back here desecrater!" AJ wasn't sure what to make of that, and she really wasn't sure to make of the blinding light that burned part of her flesh that had just shone out completely in response. Then she heard a voice unlike any pony that projected across the farm.
"NOW FOUL CREATURE OF DARKNESS, PREPARE TO FACE THE LIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR DOMAIN!
Twilight Sparkle's house
Twilight was sleeping blissfully until she heard urgent pounding on the door. She sat up groggily and rubbed her eyes lightly with a hoof.
"Ugh, if this is some suck up trying to impress me with a gift because I'm a princess, leave me now!" She groaned as she stumbled to the door. She was surprised to hear Applebloom's voice on the other end.
"Twilight, there something going on at the farm!" Twilight opened the door to find the three CMCs at the door, Applebloom was shaking and Sweetiebelle and Scootaloo were both staring at distant flashes of light.
"What happened Applebloom, and this better not be one your efforts to get a Cutie Mark." Twilight asked.
Applebloom responded,"A weird looking critter was seen at our sleepover and then there was this green thing that snatched it and then we heard Princess Luna and some other pony!"
Twilight hesitated, then looked at the flashes of light, and turned to the three CMCs,
"Get inside and don't answer the door for anyone except who you know." She said. They nodded and raced inside, slamming the door shut. Twilight turned toward the direction of the farm and flapped her wings experimentally. Hopefully the lessons from Rainbow Dash would pay off.
Edge of Everfree, Apple Family Farm
Luna was having a difficult time, and it all started when she had attempted to ambush the two legged creature. At first she didn't know what it was, but she could sense the dark and evil power inside of him. Naturally, she attacked, but after a couple minutes of it effortlessly dodging, she finally managed to hit it with a moon bolt, only to make it angry. Now it was radiating light and fire, its hood and garb a pure white with fiery edges. Any dark magic related attack that Luna used would quickly dissipate before it even reached the creature, while she would be hard pressed to dodge its attacks. The two legged creature must have sensed her frustration, then screamed out,
"FOUL CREATURE OF THE NIGHT WITH WHOM I AM COMBATTING! SURRENDER NOW OR PREPARE YOURSELF TO BE UTTERLY ANNIHILATED AND YOUR ESSENCE INCINERATED DOWN TO THE LAST SHRED OF SKIN AND BONE THAT HOLD YOUR BEING INTO PLACE! YOU MAY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO LIGHTLY DAMAGE THE DARK ASPECT, BUT NOT ONE OF HOLINESS AND LIGHT!"
Luna dodged another light ray, thinking to herself, dark aspect? So this thing has 2 different aspects of its being? How odd... Another ball of light bounced toward her, just being near it caused searing pain, and that's when a purple shockwave erupted in the center of their conflict.
"What is going on here?!" A very cross Twilight Sparkle yelled as she descended.
