The Transformation
Load Full StoryNext Chapter"Fus Ro- ooofff." The dovakiin yelled, only achieving half of the shouts power before the dragon swiped his tail at him. Blowing him across the field. He heard the guards from the town of Whiterun coming to aid him. He thought he heard his friend, john's voice.
"B-by the nine. A-a dragon." He said raising his bow while the dragon raised its wings. It took to the sky and flew off, only to loop around and strafe the guards using its fire breath to scorch the noble gurds of Whiterun. The dragonborn looked over to see only ash where his friend once stood. A new strength filled his body. He picked up his sword which lay next to him and summoned the flame to his hand again. He stood up and looked directly at the dragon and pointed his shout slightly ahead of the dragon. He then used the ancient shout, Dragonrend. The shout hit the dragon with obvious force. The blue aura encased its wings and brought it to the ground. The dovakiin charged at the dragon launching fireballs that wore away at the scales and revealed the pink fleshy part behind the shoulder of the dragon. The dovakiin jumped and let out a war cry that awoke a bear on the throat of the world as he plunged his blade into the dragon's chink in the armor. The dovakiin withdrew his blade, now covered in the blood of the beast and took a step back. The two squared off, circling the clearing twice. All the while never taking their eyes off of each other. Suddenly the dragon made a move and the dragon born did at the same time to Fus Ro Dah each other. The dragons shout and the dovakiin's shout met in the air. Creating an increadinle ammount of force that was spen on both sides. To the dragon it ripped the flesh and scales from its bone, killing it instantly. The dovakiin fared much better. He was blown through the trees and knocked off a cliff that he didn't know was there. As he fell he creeped ever closer to the rock face. His arm thudded against it and snapped. The dragon born had endured worse but swing that he was about to die from hitting the ground, he let the tears come. Tears for his friend, for his arm, and for his mother. Suddenly a red swirling portal appeared at the bottom of the cliff. The dovakiin, having no choice, fell straight into it. He felt himself going at increadinle speeds. His arm waved around behind him. When the speed became to much for him he blacked out.
When he came to, he was lying on a soft bed in a cozy looking cottage. He looked over to see a his armor hanging on a rack and a yellow and pink looking horse dozing in a chair. He tried to sit up but he winced with pain. He had a tight bandage around his belly and his arm in a splint, but other than that, he was stark naked. He stood up,gritting his teeth against he pain. And walked to his armor. He reached it and grabbed the leggings and began to put them on. He accidentally bumped into the rack, sending his helmet cluttering to the floor. The horse in the chair awoke, startled by the noise. She saw the dovakiin putting his leggings on to cover his man parts now.
"Sorry mister," the horse said blushing and turning away as the dovakiin pulled on the pants and leather tunic. But then he realized something.
"That horse just talked!" He said in his mind. After he finished putting on his underclothes he approached the horse. She turned around and stood up.
"What's your name?" It asked shyly.
"You can talk," I asked it.
"Of course I can silly," she said. "My name is fluttershy." She extended a hoof to the man before her. He grabbed it and shook it.
"Dragon Born," he said. "How did I get here." He asked.
"We'll I found you lying against a tree out there and pulled you inside. I examined your arm and put it in a splint and bandaged your cracked ribs." She said. He reached to pull the steel chest plate over his head but fluttershy stopped him. "You won't be needing that." She said. He considered putting it on anyway but he figured he probably wouldn't have to defend himself in a world of pastel colored horses. But just in case he strapped his elves sword of searing to his belt and he and fluttershy headed out of the cottage into town.
In town the dovakiin got plenty of weird looks but no one was histile towards him since fluttershy appeared to trust him. They approached sugar cube corner where fluttershy was meeting her friends. They walked through the door and pinkie gasped.
"Ooooohhhhh, yay someone new, but, wait, you look strange. Your not a pony and you don't look like Joe. Who are you, what are you." She asked.
"I am dragonborn. Where I come from, aim a dragon hunter.." He said proudly rubbing the hilt of his sword.
"You, kill, DRAGONS!" A purple unicorn yelled from the back of the room. She seemed slightly startled. A white pony put his hoof on her shoulder.
"Well, only the evil ones that try to kill me." He said. She appeared to calm down a bit but kept glancing at the scabbard on his hip. Fluttershy and him walked into the room and pinkie pie brought over some cup cakes. The white stallion came over and sat next to the dovakiin.
"You sound like quite the warrior where you come from. Could I see you sword if you don't mind." The dovakiin saw no harm in this and withdrew the sword and handed it to the stallion who examined it. The purple pony came over and stood next to the white stallion.
"I forgot my manners earlier, my name is Twilight Sparkle, you can call me Twilight. This is my brother shining armor." She said motioning to herself and the white stallion who looked to be her brother.
"This is amazing, I've never seen metal or craftsmanship like this." Shining said not taking his eyes off the sword. He reached out to touch the sword's blade and burnt himself on the clearing enchantment.
"It was forged out of moonstone by the finest elf craftsmen on all of Skyrim. As for the shimmering blade you just runt yourself on, I enchanted it myself." The dragon born said. twilights eyes widened. You know magic, I study it as well. Could you show me some of yours. He summoned magic to his hand and snapped his hand and turned invisible. Twilight gasped as a hand touched her shoulder and the dovakiin reappeared. He then snapped his fingers again and a blue aura surrounded his feet and he began stomping around, but not making a single sound. He then dispelled the magic and took a step outside. By ow everypony was watching him and followed. He summoned a fireball into his hand and threw it into the air and it flew off. He then asked pinkie to bring some empty boxes out and he lined them up and shot a wall of flam at them, burning the, instantly. He stood there and demonstrated magic for a while and then the sun went down and most of the ponies had gone home. All that were left were twilight and her brother. As the sun went down twilight spoke for the first time in a while.
"Can you teach me some." She asked. I scratched my chin.
"Do you want to leaden combat magic, illusion magic, changing magic, light spells-" he was cut off.
"Just a simple light spell." He reached down into his pocket and produced a small scroll. He handed it to her and she opened it quickly. "So, what does it do?" I summoned the magic to my hand and aimed it at her. I coasted it and she yelped but she quickly calmed down realizing that it was just a floating ball of pure light. While she focused on the spell her brother cam over to him and returned his sword.
"Could you shows me your technique." He asked. I picked up my sword and summoned about twenty decoys and went to work chopping down and burning about 15 and the last five he had something special in mind for them. He backed up and put away his sword and dispelled the fire and backed up. Shining looked at him confused. "Umm, there is some still there." The dragonborn shushed him with a finger. He cleared no throat.
"Fus, Ro Dah!" He shouted. The blue aura left his lips and blew away the dummies. Shining just stood there mouth agape as the dragonborn began to walk back to fluttershy's house. Slightly impressed with his abilities. He liked it here so far.
