Bad exit, strange entrance
It had been a long and tedious day in Minecraftia as Steve came home from a long day of digging in the mines. He had to stop mining as a swarm of the undead kept him from continuing his journey of finding the elusive gem known as diamonds. His black hoodie was covered by a chest plate of iron and his blue jeans held straps of leather along with a leather cap covering his scruffy grey hair along with his short, and equally scruffy, beard and protecting his head. His Iron pickaxe was coated in a thin layer of blood from the creepers that tried to off him after his sword broke from slashing and hacking the swarm of the undead.
He sighed heavily as he saw his home of wooden planks, cobblestone and a nice little fence that kept the monsters at bay during the night. He gave a weak smile before trudging over into the house and opened the door before he walked in and leaned against the door as he closed it. Setting his pickaxe on the ground to lean against the wall, he let out another heavy sigh announcing his presence.
“Hello sweetie.” A woman said, coming into the kitchen. She had a simple purple shirt on and blue jeans, as well as long flowing brown hair, beautiful brown eyes, and white wings on her back.
“Hey Susie...” Steve said as he leaned off the door and pulled off his leather cap showing his scruffy, short hair as it stuck out in all directions.
“I’m guessing you're hungry, I finished making dinner before you came home.” Susie said smiling as she took out some cooked potatoes.
“You are a godsend, you know that?” Steve laughed as he gingerly rubbed his side and groaned a bit. “Stupid skeleton...” He mumbled as he walked over to Susie.
“They have gotten more terrible this year haven’t they?” Susie asked, putting the cooked potatoes on the table. Steve walked over and sat down before shaking his head.
“You have no idea... My old sword finally broke, and we are running out of iron to use.” Steve groaned out as he indulged himself in the dinner.
“I guess we will have to work hard to find more than, and look in more areas.” Susie suggested as she ate her potatoes. Steve only nodded before looking out the window and watching the sun setting. He shook his head again before finishing his food and watching as a grey husky ran in from the bedroom with a big happy dog smile on his muzzle as he skidded to a halt and sat at the edge of the table panting.
“Hey, Rover. Susie keeping you fed?” Steve joked with a small chuckle.
“Rover still misses Charlie, he waits by the door all day hoping he will come back.” Susie said, looking at the dog. Steve frowned and shook his head.
“And just like that, I am not hungry anymore...” Steve said with a sad tone as he stood up from the table. “I am going to go store what I got from the mine. I might find a new dig site tomorrow.”
“Ok.” Susie said as she patted Rover’s head as she got up and started cleaning the dishes at the sink. Steve only nodded as he went back to the door and picked up his pick as he looked outside to see the monsters roaming outside. He gave a quiet snarl as he saw the creepers walk in and out of the light of the torches before he went to a large room filled with chests and deposited his supplies. He took off his armor and stored it in the chest closest to the door before walking out of the room and heading to the bedroom.
“We might want to rest or we may never get sleep with all the commotion that is going to happen with that crowd.” Steve shouted back to the kitchen.
“Ok, I’ll be there in a sec.” Susie said before she flew silently into the bedroom and set down on the carpet. Steve only looked out the window again seeing the moon slowly rise into the sky before laying down on the bed and getting under the covers.
“I hate this place sometimes...” Steve muttered as his head hit the soft plush pillow.
“Can’t help where you live.” Susie said, getting under the covers as well.
“Yeah well, when I get the chance, I am still building that fort... That is if I can gather enough materials without those undead swarming every five minutes.” Steve said rubbing his eyes.
“I will help you gather materials tomorrow.” Susie offered. Steve looked at her with a expression that only told her that he was not so keen on the idea.
“Yeah, like I am going to risk you getting shot in the back or falling in a lava pit because of my stupidity.” Steve said rolling his eyes.
“You seem to forget that I can fly over the lava pits.” Susie said snickering as she moved her wing in front of Steve’s face.
“With an arrow in your back?” Steve retorted looking at her with a serious expression.
“Ok, maybe not with an arrow.” Susie said. Steve let out a weak chuckle before closing his eyes. There was a good few minutes before Rover began to let out a continuous stream of loud barks and growls making Steve shoot up. He quickly climbed out of the bed before running to the store room and grabbing his pick and armor before following Rover’s barking. He ended up at the front door where there was a dark figure standing just on the other side. He narrowed his eyes before raising the pick defensively and slowly reaching to open the door.
Rover was by his feet growling and snarling as he grabbed hold of the doorknob and swung it open to reveal a figure the same height as him, but covered in a completely dark black robe as no part of his person’s, or thing’s, body could be seen. There were two things running through his mind. One: Is this a friend or a new foe? and Two: Easiest way to kill it or him or her if it turns out to be aggressive. Susie soon joined him at the door.
“Who are you?” Steve hissed as he gripped the pick tighter in his hands as Rover continued to growl protectively.
“Hello father, mother.” The figure said, making Rover stop growling and wag his tail happily. Steve’s expression turned to one of surprise and made his grip weaker on the pick.
“Charlie?” Steve said surprised as Susie was speechless.
“Yes...” Charlie said with a rather disturbing tone. It was a mix of anger, happiness, and excitement.
“Where have you been!? We thought you had gotten killed!” Steve yelled as Susie continued to stare at Charlie with a confused expression.
“Oh you know. Here, there. Over at the Mage Academy in the kingdom.” Charlie said as only the part of his face shown was his mouth, which was held up in a crooked and sick smile. Steve let a small growl. “Remember the Mage Academy? which you said I wasn't allowed to go to father?” Charlie asked mockingly.
“I told you that those magicians are just stupid! Their magic is nothing but tainted!” Steve hissed as he glared at Charlie.
“Well, I guess that is a shame. Does wonders to keep the monsters away at night.” Charlie said as he nonchalantly looked behind him to see the hordes of monsters standing still and staring at the home.
“Because even the monsters won't go near dark twisted magic.” Susie said, finally speaking up.
“Oh ho, mother. You and father always were so damned skeptical about magic. Why don’t I give you a small example?” Charlie said as his smile became more wicked by the second and raised his hand before it gave a small, but loud, snap. Before anyone could blink a tall, moonless night black, creature appeared in front of both Steve and Susie, making Steve grip the pick again with renewed vigor and Susie whimper. “And he does tricks too, better ones than Rover ever could. My personal favorite...dark shrouding blackness.”
Steve only blinked before the monster’s face split apart to reveal rows upon rows of jagged and serrated teeth as it began to move swiftly towards the both of them. Steve took a defensive step back before he watched the tall creature walk forward and!... Hit it’s head on the doorway. Steve let out a small snicker as the creature rubbed his forehead before tearing the door and block that rested above the door off and tossing them away.
It let out a strangled growl that resembled Rover’s if you had taken his growl and sped it up to ten times the speed he growled out, giving it an almost techno like gurgle. The monster lunged forward at the two creatures before Rover jumped up and bit it’s left leg making it stop in place and let out a loud screech. Steve panicked a moment before he shook his head and growled a moment before lunging forward and bringing the pick down onto the monster’s head. It reeled back in pain before it kicked Rover off into Susie’s arms and lifted it’s head up. Sadly Murphy’s law decided to screw it over and smash the hilt of the pick into the ceiling forcing the pick into his brain and making it fall dead in front of the two scared and confused minecraftians. As Susie put Rover down, Steve retrieved his pick from the monster’s skull, seeing the purple blood give it a new color, and glared at Charlie.
“Oh you two are no fun. I guess I will have to do this the old fashion way...” Charlie said shaking his head before he took a few steps back and held up his hands as they began to shimmer in a dark and evil glow. “Goodbye you two. May you find the nether a comfortable place to spend your eternity.”
“Charlie! Don-” Steve began before Charlie let a massive black beam of lightning stream from his hands and smashed into the group of two people and a dog. There was a shrill shriek of terror before they simply were gone from existence, leaving only a small charred spot in the wooden floor.
“Welp. That’s done and done.” Charlie said wiping his hands together to clear the dust from his hands.
“You did a good job sssssir.” A creeper said, walking up to him.
“Shut up Astley.” Charlie said looking at the creeper. “I don’t know why I let you be able to talk.”
“Yessss ssssir.” Astley said.
“Shut up with the hissing!” Charlie snapped.
“Itssss not my fault!” Astley defended.
“Yeah yeah, just be glad you are smart and allowed in the kingdom.” Charlie said turning and beginning to walk away. “Now who is next on my list?”
“Your grandmother I believe.” Astley said, following after him.
“Oh my god, a sentence that didn’t have a hiss! The world is ending!” Charlie said throwing his hands in the air.
“The ssssentencccee didnt have an ssssssssssssss.” Astley muttered as Charlie let out a cry of frustration.

Steve woke up to the feeling of wind rushing by his face as he slowly opened his eyes to see the ground rushing to greet him. He slowly began to panic as he turned to see Susie unconscious, falling next to him and Rover above him as he was barking happily that they weren’t dead. He grabbed the dog before he turned to Susie.
“SUSIE! WAKE YOURSELF NOW!” He bellowed out over the rushing winds.
“...What?” Susie muttered as she opened her eyes and saw that she was falling upside down. She quickly righted herself and flew down towards Steve and Rover and caught Steve before he could hit the ground.
“We are going TO DIE!” Steve shouted still panicking quite a bit as he saw his feet dangling, yards in the air.
“Panicking doesn’t help me hold you.” Susie grunted as she flew down to the ground and put Steve down so he could put Rover down.
“Oh thank god.” Steve said as he collapsed to his knees and let Rover out of his arms. The dog happily shook himself a bit before barking happily at the both of them. “... If I ever see Charlie again...”
“The mages tainted him.” Susie said.
“Be that as it may, I am going to give him a thrashing. Not kill him, but beat him good.” Steve said as he shakily stood up, using his pick, that was firmly clutched in his hand, as a cane of sorts. “Now first thing is first... Where are we?”
“This looks like a new place!” A voice said happily from beside them. Steve blinked before looking down at Rover.
“Did that dog just speak...” He questione blinking.
“You can understand me?!” Rover asked happily.
“...AAAAAH!” Steve shouted before falling backwards and onto the ground before groaning. “Dumb freaking mages... Messing with everything.”
“I don’t think the mages did this.” Susie said, kneeling down to look at Rover.
“Pfft yeah, next thing you are going to tell me is that we have colorful equines watching us.” Steve groaned from the ground.
“I smell colorful ponies everywhere on the ground!” Rover yelled excitedly, running in circles with his nose to the ground. Steve just groaned again before leaning up and standing up carefully.
“Alright, you are just a silly dog. We all know ponies and equines don’t live in our region.” Steve said looking at Rover.
“This isn’t our home!” Rover said, wagging his tail.
“.... You are happy about everything aren’t you.” Steve asked not really expecting an answer.
“Yes I am, because everything is wonderful!” Rover said.
“What I would give to see how you reacted when Susie gives you a treat.” Steve muttered as he picked up his pick properly.
“She is going to give me a treat!?!? Gimme gimme gimme!!!” Rover said excitedly as he jumped around the two Minecraftians.
“Ugh... Susie...” Steve groaned.
“You asked...” Susie said.
“But I don’t have any treats on me right now!” Steve said throwing his free hand in the air.
“I don’t either.” Susie said.
“I can find one for myself anyway, in that creepy forest!” Rover said, starting to run to the dark forest.
“Oh no you don’t!” Steve said grabbing Rover’s collar. “You are staying next to me and Susie until we are safe okay?”
“Alright.” Rover said, genuinely sad for once.
“You’ll get a treat later.” Steve said letting go of his collar and looking around the open field they were in and gazing at the forest. “Hmmm... It’s too dark in there. I don’t want to risk it.”
“The dark is fun!” Rover said happily.
“The dark is bad Rover. Very very bad.” Steve said shaking his head.
“Lets not risk it.” Susie said, looking around. Steve only nodded and slipped the pickaxe onto a loop in his leather armor before he began searching as well.
“House house house house house!!” Rover yelled as he started running in circles
“Okay okay okay! Jeez! Take us to the house.” Steve said as he looked at the spastic dog.
“Yes I take you to the house and you look at pony and animals that I smell with my nose!” Rover said, running right.
“Why do I feel as if Rover is going to be rather hard to deal with now?” Steve muttered as he began running along with Rover.
“Because he is a talking dog.” Susie said snickering as she flew after Steve.
-----<*>-----
“You are my people, and I love you!” Rover yelled happily as he continued running.
“Damn it Rover, if you weren’t so damn lovable, I would have left you in the rain!” Steve panted as he continued running.
“It... isn’t raining.” Rover said confused.
“I meant when we first met you mutt.” Steve said as he caught up with Rover.
“House there!” Rover said stopping as he looked at a small house.
“Well, I’ll be damned...” Steve said looking at the house as he panted. “Ugh, wearing iron and leather over a hoodie was a bad idea.”
“Take them off.” Susie suggested.
“Then I would have to carry them. Better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it.” Steve said wheezing for a second before coughing a little.
“I guess thats right, so want to knock on it?” Susie asked, indicating the door.
“That would probably be the best course of action.” Steve said standing up straight.
“I will knock if you want!!” Rover said.
“Rover, you can’t knock. You scratch.” Steve said drawing his pick and walking towards the house.
“I can hit myself against the door! That’s knocking!” Rover said happily.
“That would hurt you...” Susie said slowly.
“Yeah, what she said.” Steve said before he raised his hand and knocked on the small door. “Who builds a home that is one and a half blocks high?”
“A person who crouches?” Susie suggested.
“Must have one hell of a back pain.” Steve muttered before the door opened slowly as a shy, but cheery voice sounded.
“H-hell-....” The voice began before a small yellow pony walked out and stared at Steve and Susie.
“I am here! And you smell nice!” Rover yelled happily. There was an awkward silence in the air before Steve raised a hand and waved making the pony ‘eep’ and run back inside.
“... What did I do?” Steve said looking at Susie.
“She seemed nice!” Rover said.
“I think she was shy, along with the pick and armor might have scared her.” Susie said.
“Ah right... Idiot.” Steve said facepalming.
“Put it in your inventory or something.” Susie suggested.
“Fine fine... But the armor stays on. It’s too heavy to carry around all over the place.” Steve said as he put the pick back in it’s slot on his belt before knocking again, making the door slowly creak open to show a single eye before the door opened just enough to see the pony.
“Hello! You are a pony, and I love you!” Rover said, putting his front paws on the pony’s chest and licking her face. The yellow pony giggled a little as she used a hoof to pet Rover’s head slowly coming more and more out of the house.
“Well then... That is one use for a dog.” Steve said raising an eyebrow.
“Besides having him help fight monsters.” Susie said. Steve just nodded as he looked down and saw the pony rubbing Rover’s belly and cooing at him.
“Oh who’s a good dog! Yes you are!” The yellow pony said smiling widely.
“Yes!” Rover said happily as his tongue lolled out of the side of his mouth.
“Good god.” Steve said facepalming.
“This is kinda sweet.” Susie said smiling.
“That may be the case, but that doesn’t change the fact that we have no idea where we are.” Steve said looking at Susie with his purple eyes.
“I know for certain that this isn't the nether.” Susie said.
“Well thank notch for that.” Steve said throwing his hands in the air. “Now we don’t have to deal with those pigmen and ghasts... I freaking hate ghasts.”
“Um.... Hello?” The small yellow equine said looking up at Susie and Steve. They looked at the equine and noticed that it had wings attached to its back. “You say you don’t know where you are?”
“Yes...” Susie said.
“Yeah, someone,” Steve began grinding his teeth. “Teleported us here in an attempt to get some form of revenge.”
“This is a nice place, but it doesn't look like blocks!” Rover said smiling as he stood up.
“Blocks?... O-okay. Um.. What are your names strange creatures?” The small pegasus asked looking at them.
“I am Steve.” He said nodding his head at the pony.
“I’m Susie.” Susie said.
“And I am Rover! I am a good boy!” Rover said happily.
“I see... W-well, I guess I could go get my friend Twilight. She may help out with your problem.” The small pegasus said shyly.
“That would be helpful, thank you...” Susie said before stopping, not knowing the pony’s name.
“Oh, I am Fluttershy.” Fluttershy said weakly and blushing slightly in embarrassment.
“Well thank you Fluttershy. I assume we shall simply wait here?” Steve said.
“A-actually... If you wanted, you could come with me, I guess. I-if you want to that is.” Fluttershy said. Steve turned to Susie and shrugged his armor covered shoulders.
“I want to come, I want to come, I want to come!!” Rover said, jumping in the air excitedly.
“Well that’s one vote yes. How about you Susie?” Steve said looking at her.
“I wouldn’t mind going.” Susie said
“Then let’s get a move on I guess.” Steve said looking at Fluttershy as he shrugged his armor clad shoulders again and rolled his neck, cracking it. Fluttershy winced slightly at the noise before he gesturing for them to follow her as they began to walk along a wide and long dirt road. It was silent as the day while the group walked along the dirt road. Steve looked around the world he was in, noticing how the trees he passed weren’t blocks and the flowers didn’t seem to look blocky either, genuinely giving him the creeps.
He shook his head to clear his thoughts as he reached into his armor and pulled out a small wooden pipe and a match before he lit it up and sighed contently as he took a puff from it.
“Everything smells so wonderful!” Rover said happily as he wagged his tail and ran back and forth between all of them. Steve just sighed and blew out the smoke before placing the pipe back in his mouth and continuing on their trek.
“Have you noticed...how the world isn't the same as before?” Susie asked, looking at Steve, “It isn't blocky anymore.”
“You bet I have.” Steve said glancing at Susie.
“It’s so...weird.” Susie said.
“We are almost there, you two. I would um...” Fluttershy said before stopping one moment to put a hoof on her chin. “I would not make any... Sudden movements.”
“That tells us a lot.” Susie said.
“Yeah... Like those strange looking villagers we found when we left home once.” Steve said chuckling.
“Those villagers smelled funny! They had no scent!” Rover yelled.
“Good boy.” Steve chuckled as he patted Rover on the head and looked over the town they were standing outside of. “Welp... Now or never I guess.”
Mine Equestria or Equestria Craft.
Steve took a single puff from his pipe before tapping the ashes out of the pipe and slipping it back into his armor. He sighed and looked at Susie before shaking his head.
“Welp, now or never I guess.” Steve sighed out.
“Oh don’t worry, we are going to get you two home.” Fluttershy said reassuringly.
“We know, we just hope your friend has the answer.” Susie said.
“It looks happy!’ Rover said.
“That is does.” Steve said as the group began to walk into town. As they walked into the town, the only thing keeping the inhabitants from running and screaming was the fact that the shy pegasus was leading the trio through the town. They remained wary of the group, along with getting out of the way when needed, as they walked by. One pony however stood at the street’s corner gawking as she saw the duo of minecraftians walking passed her. Steve casted a weary glance at the mint green and white unicorn as they passed.
“I don’t like that one. She gives me the creeps.” Steve whispered back to Susie as he inconspicuously pointed at the pony.
“I don't think I like her either...” Susie said as she looked away from the pony.
“I like her!” Rover said, turning around to go see the unicorn.
“Rover! Damn it...” Steve muttered as he quickly caught Rover’s collar and held him. “No meeting new ponies for no reason...”
“Ok...” Rover said, before running over to a giant tree and sniffing it.
“Well this is our stop.” Fluttershy said as she walked over to the tree and knocked while Steve and Susie stopped next to Fluttershy.
“You don’t have to knock, this is a public library.” A voice said from the other side of the door.
“I’d still knock. It’s only polite.” Steve muttered.
“Twilight.” Fluttershy said in a slightly raised voice. “It’s uh... Me, Fluttershy! I have some... Ponies... I’d like you to meet. They may need your help.”
“Alright, come in.” Twilight said, a glow going around the door before it opened showing a purple alicorn organising the bookshelves.
“Eerrrh.... Mage...” Steve growled under his breath.
“I don’t think she is a mage.” Susie said.
“She’s doing magic isn’t she?” Steve said looking at Susie.
“Yes...” Susie said.
“Then she is a mage.” Steve said.
“Actually, I am not a mage, I am an alicorn, there is a difference.” Twilight said, not looking away from her work. Steve grumbled something incoherent, and probably not safe for foals or childrens ears, before he ducked down and walked inside.
Twilight finished reshelving and turned around, “Welcome, how may I...” She stopped when she saw the minecraftians, “I, books, cake, bahhh.” She said while she stared at them.
“... Did that pony just ‘baaah’?” Steve asked looking at Susie.
“It sounded like it.” Susie said concerned as she walked into the library.
“Ponies say bahhh!!” Rover said, running into the library past the minecraftians and running around Twilight.
“Talking...” She said.
“Um... Miss Fluttershy, I think your friend is broken.” Steve said tilting his head slightly as he looked at the purple alicorn.
“Um Twilight? Are you okay?” Fluttershy asked walking over and waving a hoof in front of Twilight. Twilight shook her head and blinked.
“I’m fine, I’m just surprised by all of this.” Twilight said.
“Okay, you sure you are okay? Do you need to lay down?” Fluttershy said worriedly.
“No, I’m fine Fluttershy.” Twilight said.
“Alright.” Fluttershy said smiling then turning to face the minecraftians. “I would like you to meet these nice...”
“Minecraftians...” Steve finished.
“Yes, Minecraftians. They are Steve and Susie.” Fluttershy said pointing to each human.
“That’s strange... Lyra always called you humans...” Twilight muttered.
“Would Lyra be a mint green unicorn?” Steve asked raising an eyebrow.
“Yes actually.” Twilight said nodding.
“Yeah, we saw her. She kept staring.” Steve said slightly shuddering.
“Yes well, she would stare at what she has been studying her entire life.” Twilight stated as she watched Rover run around the library.
“Anyway, they need help, Twilight. They don’t know where they are and would like to see if they could get home.” Fluttershy said.
“Well I don’t think there is a spell to bring others from different dimensions or realities back home, ponies simply don’t think other worlds are out there, I’m sorry.” Twilight said apologetically. Steve sighed and shook his head before chuckling.
“It’s quite alright I guess. Now I can cross ‘Get back at my son for nearly killing me’ off my bucket list.” He said as he leaned his head back with a small groan.
“So your son brought you here? Can't he send you back?” Twilight suggested.
“He could. If he was with us.” Steve said looking back at her. “He had this weird hatred for me and his mother, and he sent us here as ‘Revenge’.”
“I’m guessing your hatred for mages is because of him then?” Twilight asked.
“To be honest, I hate magic in general. It never helped me or my family out when we were really in binds.” Steve said shaking his head.
“Well I’m sorry to hear that.” Twilight said.
“Yeah, I am too. I had a lot of friends who became mages. Never heard from them again.” Steve said rolling his shoulders and hearing a mix of snaps from his shoulders and creaks of the metal as it shifted. “But I have to ask. Why is this world so... Round?”
“Round?” Twilight asked confused, “That’s normal...”
“It is? Where we are from, everything that isn’t living or breathing is a cube shape. Stone, dirt, lava, water. Only things that aren’t are what we make, like this pickaxe.” Steve said patting the tool hanging from his belt.
“That doesn’t make sense, how can lava and water be cube shape unless they are in a cube container, and a lava proof container for the lava.” Twilight said. Susie looked even more confused by this conversation and looked in her inventory, before taking out a wood block and holding it in her hand. The small cube levitated and spun around in her hand as she held it out.
“... Well like that.” Steve said pointing to Susie’s hand.
“I guess this is a part of the different dimension, different reality science...” Twilight said scratching her head as Susie put the block away.
“You should see what happens when you dig.” Steve chuckled. “Perfect square pops out of the ground and that little block just floats there.”
“That’s rather strange.” Twilight said.
“This tree smells like dragon! do you have a black dragon baby here?!” Rover said as he ran around sniffing the floor.
“D-dragon?” Steve stuttered nervously as he gripped the pickaxe in his right hand, slowly beginning to draw it. “What is that beast doing out of the end?!”
“Uhhh...no, there isn’t a black baby dragon here...” Twilight said, looking at Steve’s Pickaxe nervously, “I have a normal baby dragon named Spike, he is my assistant and he is harmless.”
“You sure?” Steve asked nervously.
“I’m absolutely positive, I’ll even call him, Spike!” Twilight yelled, turning to look up some stairs.
“Yeah Twilight!?” A young male voice shouted back.
“Can you come down here please?!” Twilight asked.
“Okay! Just gimme a minute!” The voice shouted back before the sound of small claws and padded feet was heard as a small purple and green dragon hopped down the stairs and ran up to Twilight. “Hey Twilight! What do y- Celestia's beard! What are those things!?”
“Oh, instead of breathing fire, he shouts insults.” Steve muttered shaking his head and letting go of the pick.
“Spike, be nice, these are Steve and Susie, they are minecraftians and they got sent here by their son and are stuck here now.” Twilight said.
“And I am Rover!” Rover said happily as he ran up to Spike, “And I’m a good boy! The gray pony said so!”
“... Did that dog just talk?” Spike said looking at the white husky.
“Yes it did.” Twilight said.
“... Is that cool or kinda freaky?” Spike asked looking at Twilight as he petted the dog.
“I don't know.” Twilight said.
“Both...” Steve said as he looked around the room. “... This is a lot of books.”
“It is a library.” Twilight said chuckling.
“We didn’t have libraries back home. Only the mages got the knowledge. The rest had to either purchase a book or be taught.” Steve said.
“Why would anypony wish to stop others from learning knowledge?” Twilight asked, tilting her head.
“Because Mages only want power. And thusly, keep everyone stupid, more power for them.” Steve said shrugging.
“That sounds horrible!” Twilight said.
“It is, but most Minecraftians are homeschooled so it does not matter.” Steve said waving the subject off.
“Alright... Hey if I can ask, why is your pickaxe covered in purple? Were you mining gems?” Spike asked looking up at Steve.
“Well... I was before. But that isn’t why it’s purple. You see before our son sent us here he tried to kill us with a creature of the night.” Steve said. “This being is... WAS called an enderman and attacked us. So I put the pick in it’s skull.”
“Y-you killed it!?” Fluttershy squeaked out.
“Yes, but it would have killed us if we didn't, they don’t care about anything.” Susie said.
“She is right. Along with it being under the influence of magic, the being would not have stopped. It simply tore the front of our house off to try and kill us.” Steve said. “That is why the pick is purple.” All the ponies, and dragon, turned slightly green at the prospect and had to take a few moments before speaking again.
“We... There isn’t anything bad that can hurt you here.” Twilight said.
“So... No Zombies?” Steve asked.
“ZOMBIES!?” Spike shouted in a panic.
“Zombies don't exist.” Twilight said, pointedly looking at Spike to calm him down.
“No Skeletal Archers?” Steve asked again.
“You’re going to make Spike have nightmares now, there are no skeletons! much less skeletons with bows!” Twilight said angrily.
“... What about Creepers?” Steve asked as he took a quick glance out the window.
“...A creeper as in a stalker?” Twilight asked.
“That’s one way to put it... Here, I’ll explain. You have a quill and paper?” Steve asked.
“Yes...” Twilight said, using her magic to take out a quill and paper and gave it to steve. He drew a few lines for a moment before handing the paper back to her showing the image of a four legged, strange cubish creature with soulless black eyes.
“That is a creeper. They blend into the forest’s leaves and the shadows of caves. And they make no noise as they sneak up to you. Inch by inch. Step by step.” Steve said emphasising his point back taking a few steps towards Spike and Twilight. “They get closer and closer, and the moment you think you are safe in the wild... You know what they do?”
“Wh-what?” Spike asked clutching Twilight’s leg.
“They... Go.... BOOM!” Steve shouted clapping his hands together making a loud, thunderous ‘CLAP’ scaring poor Spike into a state of shock as he fell to the ground hyperventilating while FLuttershy let out a ‘EEP’ and cowered under her hooves. Steve stood back up and walked back over to Susie.
“Spike!!” Twilight yelled as she tried to help him calm down, “Now he is going to be worried about these mythical creepers besides zombies!”
“They are not Mythical. Those things stalk you and splatter you against walls when you don’t pay attention.” Steve said.
“Steve, you’re not helping by scaring the poor dragon more.” Susie said.
“Sorry sorry.” Steve said rubbing his eyes.
“These ‘creepers’ are mythical here, as well as zombies.” Twilight said, using her magic to put a paper bag against Spike’s mouth so he could breath into it.
“What about Enderman?” Steve asked. “Four block tall midnight black creature with glowing purple eyes?”
“No, we don’t have those either, just normal dragons like spike.” Twilight sighed.
“...Giant spiders?” Steve asked weakly.
“No.” Twilight deadpanned.
“... So this is... A peaceful world?” Steve asked as he looked out the window again.
“Yes its peaceful.” Twilight said.
“And you are sure?” Steve said looking back at Twilight.
“I have lived here my whole life, I am sure.” Twilight said, starting to get annoyed as Spike started to calm down.
“How... How did you live in that place!?” Spike finally shouted as he regained his breath.
“Very carefully.” Susie said.
“With cake!” Rover said. Fluttershy uncovered herself from her hooves and stood up shakily.
“Th-that must have been... Awful.” She said quietly.
“It was... You couldn’t go out at night or you were a goner. Or you were extremely stupid.” Steve said hanging his head.
“Well, I see you are going to have to get used to this world, and I need to write to Celestia.” Twilight said.
“Alright then. What shall we do in the meantime?” Steve asked.
“Read one of the books, it won't take long to write the letter.” Twilight said shrugging, before turning to Spike.
“I am... Okay now Twilight...” Spike huffed as he put a claw on his chest as his breathing slowly went back to normal.
“... I am glad I didn’t tell him about Herobrine.” Steve whispered to Susie.
“He isn’t even real.” Susie said.
“Hey, you never know.” Steve said shrugging. “Those mines hold freaky stuff.”
“Are you alright to take a letter Spike?” Twilight asked.
“Yeah, just let me get the paper and quill.” He said hopping off her back and seemingly pulling a paper and quill out of nowhere. “Okay, shoot.”
“Dear Princess Celestia, my friend fluttershy found a new species that is not of this world and introduced them to me. They seem friendly enough so I don't think they will be any trouble, but I hope you could come and talk to them, maybe if Luna is up yet have her come as well, so that she won't be surprised if she meets them at some other time, Maybe have her show them the night isn't so bad. Signed Twilight Sparkle. Ok, send it Spike.” Twilight said. Spike nodded and rolled up the scroll before taking a deep breath and breathing a little bit of fire onto the scroll and watching the wisp of smoke fly out the window.
“... You just burnt that letter...” Steve said blinking in confusion.
“No, thats how he sends the letters.” Twilight informed him.
“... Magic?” He asked.
“Yes, dragonfire magic.” Twilight said.
“... Okay?” Steve said unsure.
“So he doesn’t just say insults, he does breath fire.” Susie said, nudging Steve’s side.
“Okay okay I was wrong. I am only good with a sword and know where to mine!... And a bow, but I don’t use that too often.” Steve said shrugging.

A few minutes had passed as Steve was reading a small book about Equestrian history, and had taken off his dented iron and scratched leather armor, while Rover fell asleep beside him and Susie talked to Fluttershy about animals. Twilight was busy making the place look prim and proper while Spike was simply organizing the books again. There was a loud ‘Pop!’ along with a bright flash that left Steve in a daze.
“... Ow.” Steve said as he put a hand on his eyes.
“Hello Princesses.” Twilight said.
“Hello Twilight! How are you?” A tall white Alicorn doned in a golden tiara and Breastplate/Necklace combo while a indigo alicorn, smaller than her but larger than twilight, was behind her with a smile.
“That has got to be the flashiest thing since golden armor...” Steve muttered as he put down the book.
“I am fine Princess.” Twilight said smiling. Steve stood up, as well as Susie, and looked to the princesses.
“So how you think this is going to go?” Steve whispered to Susie as the two alicorns idly chatted.
“I don't know.” Susie whispered back.
“Good, that means we have a chance.” Steve chuckled.
“HELLO OUTWORLDERS!! WE ARE PRINCESS LUNA!” The indigo alicorn said from right next to them.
“BY NOTCH’S BEARD, MY EARS ARE BLEEDING!” Steve shouted as he hunched over and clasped his hands over his ears.
“I am a good boy!” Rover yelled as he woke up.
“We...I am sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you.” Luna said, looking at Steve as Susie picked at her ears to regain her hearing. Steve smiled sheepishly, if not slightly pained, and stood back up.
“It’s okay. Me and Susie have been next to Creeper explosions and trust us when we say, those are louder.” Steve said.
“What?” Susie asked.
“You’re still deaf, Susie.” Steve said looking at her.
“You were saying about these...creepers being louder?” Luna asked, slightly amused.
“Eh, louder in a sense of impending doom. But that is a story for later.” Steve said chuckling before holding out his hand. “I am Steve.”
“Nice to meet you.” Luna said, putting up a hoof and shaking with him.
“I...am...Susie.” Susie said as she regained her hearing.
“And I am a good boy!” Rover repeated, before falling back asleep.
“And that was Rover.” Steve said chuckling.
“And he talks, thats a new one.” Luna said.
“Tell me about it...” Steve said shaking his head. That was when Steve caught the word ‘Dungeon’ from the tall white alicorn before he chuckled nervously. “Eh heh heh... What was that about a dungeon?”
“Oh I am sorry! I didn’t mean to startle you. We were just discussing what you have told Twilight and I got nervous when she said you killed a hostile being. But she said it was out of self defense so I don’t have to send you to the dungeon.” The tall alicorn said laughing sheepishly.
“That’s good to know at least.” Susie said smiling, “I’m guessing your Princess Celestia?”
“Yes, I am.” Celestia said with a smile. “And I am assuming you and your friend are Steve and Susie?”
“Yes.” Susie said.
“Good! Now come and sit, we have much to discuss.” Celestia said as she walked over to the couch and sat down. Susie and Steve followed and sat down.
Mine Equestria or Equestria Craft.
It had been several days since Charlie had arrived at the mage academy. He was taken in after passing a small test of setting fire to a small paper and was given a dorm. Now he was wandering the halls of the academy in order to find a library.
“I’m no sssstranger to love.” A voice said from behind one of the hallways doors. Charlie blinked for a moment before he walked over to the door and slowly opened it.
“You know the rulesssss and sssso do I.” A creeper said from behind iron bars. Charlie backpedaled into a wall as he stared at the creeper trapped behind the metal.
“What in the name of Notch is a creeper doing in this building!?” Charlie shouted.
“Being trapped for a ssssstart.” The creeper muttered as it followed Charlie with its eyes.
“... Do you know how cre- oh nevermind...” Charlie said facepalming.
“It wasssssn’t my idea to be usssssed asssss a magic device ssssso a mage could learn if they could make anything sssssspeak.” The creeper hissed.
“Well it seemed it worked huh?” Charlie said getting off the wall and walking over to the cage. “How come you aren’t freaking out? Like trying to blow up or something?”
“Becaussssssssse, they took out my ability to explode ssssso I wouldn't kill anyone.” The creeper said.
“Well I guess that sucks.... For a creeper I guess.” Charlie said as he stepped right up to the cage.
“Yessssss, it issssss, and the worsssssst part issss I wassssss thrown in here after the mage sssssaw that I wasssss of no ussssse of telling him where my pack issssss.” The creeper said.
“Again, that sucks. So you are just stuck here? How do you live? Like do you need to eat, or drink?” Charlie asked looking at him.
“I am sssstuck in here becausssse I may or may not have ssssent one of the magessss into insssanity by sssspeaking or by accidentally making him think he wassssss twisssted and evil. Creeperssssss arent known for drinking and eating, we can sssssurvive whole yearsssss without food.” The creeper said.
“Well that’s convenient.” Charlie said smiling before he looked around. “Hmm. Want me to get you out?”
“Sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssure.” The creeper hissed.
“Okay, one thing. Try not to hiss so much.” Charlie said as he looked around again until he saw a hook by the door with a set of keys. “... Dad was right, mages are stupid.”
“Sssssome are, but ssssome are ssssmart and evil, which would you like to be?” The creeper asked.
“Depends on what I’d be doing in the future.” Charlie said as he walked over and grabbed the set of keys before walking back over.
“I can tell by the way you talk about your...dad, that you ssssem to be unhappy with sssssomething.” The creeper observed as Charlie put the key into the lock.
“For a creeper, you aren’t so dumb you know that?” Charlie said as he twisted the key and opened the door.
“You all think usssss dumb, but you realissse we would have to be sssmart to be able to ssssneak up on you.” The creeper said.
“... You guys walk into fences and just glare at the person until they shoot you with a bow...” Charlie deadpanned.
“Sssssome of usssss yes, but that isssss only becaussse the pack leader didn’t blesssss them with holy blood.” The creeper said.
“Ew...” Charlie said as the door swung open. “Alright, here you go.”
“Thanksssss.” The creeper said, walking out of the cell, “I have been in there for ten yearsssssss.”
“So you sung to keep your boredom low?” Charlie asked.
“I dreamed that I could sssstill blow up and I blew up the mage that put me in the cell.” The creeper said.
“Alright then. Makes sense.” Charlie said shrugging before he turned to the door and began to walk away. “Welp see ya around.”
“I won’t get far, thossse magessss will find me before I get the chance to leave and put me back, apperently they love showing new magessssss the friendly creeper.” The creeper said, seeming to roll its eyes.
“Oookay... Follow me then I guess. You can hide in my dorm I guess?” Charlie said.
“Thanksssss for your kindnesssssss.” The creeper said.
“Um... Don’t mention it. I’m Charlie.” Charlie said as he stuck out his hand before retracting it to facepalm. “Sorry, reflexes...”
“It’sssss fine, that happensss often with the new magesssss, they think it’ssssss funny. I am Assssssstley.” The creeper said.
“Well nice to meet you, Astley.” Charlie said as he looked down the halls before stepping out. The duo walked down the hallways until they found a small dorm and walked in. It wasn’t cramped, but it wasn’t roomy. “Welp, here you go. I guess I could get you a blanket.”
“Creepersssss don’t sssssleep.” Astley said as he looked around the room.
“No offense, but that is just scary.” Charlie said looking at Astley.
“Well we can ssssleep but we choossssse not to in casssse one of you triessss to killl usssss.” Astley said, looking back at Charlie.
“I would say likewise, but to be fair, you guys do kinda... Explode.” Charlie said. “Or glare, depending.
“Assssss sssself defenssssse.” Astley hissed.
“... You’re like bees. You give a single attack and die in the process.” Charlie said shaking his head.
“Itsssss not our fault that our only defenssssse issss blowing up, we arent assss lucky asssss the sssssskeletonssssss or the zombiessssss.” Astley said, looking at the ground.
“Hey, at least you have minds. Those guys just walk straight into lava.” Charlie said chuckling.
“It’ssssss amussssing to watch them do that.” Astley said, almost smiling as he looked up.
“Well try to relax and get some sleep. Trust me it’s a great thing.” Charlie said as he walked over to his desk and sat down.
“I will try, but if you wake up with me looking at you, don’t attack, I am jusssst interested in how you are able to ssssleep with monsssstersssss everywhere.” Astley said.
“I grew up outside the city walls. I got used to it after a while.” Charlie grimaced.
“Everyone here hassss been outsssside the wallssss at one point, they are all ussssed to it, which issss what I find interesssssting.” Astley said.
“Well I guess it’s like how you guys can be outside next to the undead. You don’t have to worry about them attacking you. Although I know skeletons are stupid enough to shoot you guys.” Charlie said shaking his head.
“I watched assss one of you tricked two ssssskeletonsssss into attacking each other, it wassss great fun, they were enemiesssss to me anyway.” Astley said as he walked around the room.
“Well you do your thing, I have to read up on some spells.” Charlie said as he pulled out two books from a pack next to the desk.
“Ok, I will jusssst sssstand here.” Astley said as he closed his eyes. Charlie looked at Astley for a moment before he got up and walked over to Astley. He waved a hand in front of him to see if he was awake before he gently touched him.
“What the...” Charlie said as his hand felt short, but extremely soft, fur on the creeper. “... Okay what the hell... Creepers are weird.” With that he walked back over to his desk and began reading again.
Mine Equestria or Equestria Craft.
“What is your night like?” Luna questioned after Celestia finished talking to Steve and Susie.
“Its dark!!” Rover yelled as he ran around her hooves happily.
“... That. And to be honest, it’s rather grim.” Steve said looking at the Lunar princess. “The undead rise from their graves and roam the world while these monsters called creepers and Endermen wander around. It’s honestly the worst time to be outside.”
“So you never had the privilege to look at a beautiful night sky?” Luna asked.
“Unless you count running for your life away from a cave of monsters, then sure. I have seen it once or twice.” Steve said shrugging.
“Even then we don’t see much of it.” Susie said.
“The night has monsters and I help master kill them!!” Rover exclaimed happily.
“That’s my boy.” Steve chuckled as he patted Rover on the head.
“Well I can assure you that our night will not bring out any monsters that wish to harm you.” Luna said.
“Really?” Steve asked with an eyebrow raised.
“Are thou questioning a princesses royal word?!” Luna questioned angrily.
“Sorry! Jeez. We weren’t ruled under a monarch or anyone. We all kinda just fended for ourselves.” Steve said holding up a hand to his ear. “Unless you lived in the city, then the mages were practically the law.”
“Luna, please calm down. They are still not used to our world.” Celestia said soothingly.
“Right, I apologise.” Luna said apologetically.
“Ah it’s fine. Like I have said, explosions are louder.” Steve said chuckling.
“It was nice to meet you princesses and come to an understanding that we were no threat.” Susie said smiling.
“White pony smells like rainbows!!” Rover said as he sniffed Celestia’s legs.
“Wh... What?” Steve said before he pulled Rover back. “And don’t sniff the ponies. It’s rude.”
“I sniff to get to know you!” Rover said.
“... Then ask first, I guess...” Steve said shaking his head and letting go of Rover. “That dog is giving me a headache...”
“Its ok, he is just excited.” Susie said.
“It is nice to see my sister flustered sometimes.” Luna remarked smiling as Rover walked back over to Celestia.
“May I smell you?” He asked, looking up at Celestia hopefully while wagging his tail.
“Yes?” Celestia said unsure as she looked from Luna to the two minecraftians and back to Rover.
“Yay!” Rover exclaimed as he jumped onto her back and started sniffing her mane.
“Please...don't jump on the princesses!” Twilight pleaded, finally speaking up as Spike just stood next to her, watching the craziness. Steve put on a strained face as he was trying his best not to laugh.
“Dear sister, I believe the dog likes your mane.” Luna remarked as she chuckled quietly. Steve just let out a ‘Pffft’ before falling backwards to the ground and laughing hysterically.
“Oh Notch! If only I had a camera!” He coughed out as he laughed.
“Your mane smells like rainbows, and rainbows smell tasty!” Rover said happily.
“This is the silliest thing I have ever seen...” Susie said.
“Somepony help me!” Celestia said as she was unsure of how to handle a talking dog on her back.
“I’m so sorry Celestia!” Twilight said as she used her magic to take rover off her back.
“I got’em! I got’em...” Steve said taking the dog from the magical grip and holding onto him. “Although, not to be rude, you did say he could smell you.”
“And I am happy a rainbow smelling pony is nice!” Rover said smiling. Celestia sighed and took a deep breath before chuckling.
“I guess it is kinda my fault huh?” She said shaking her head and smiling.
“Rover likes to go overboard sometimes.” Susie said as she patted him on the head.
“Like when he chased that poor chicken halfway to town?” Steve said snickering.
“The chicken yelled that I am a dog! It deserved its punishment!” Rover exclaimed as he tried to get out of Steve’s grasp.
“Rover, you are a dog.” Steve said laughing.
“Yes I am! What is the problem?” Rover asked.
“I don’t know anymore. Just no more sniffing for now, okay?” Steve said.
“Ok.” Rover said smiling.
“... I don’t even want to know how you are smiling.” Steve said as he put Rover back onto the ground.
“This was a lovely visit, but I would like to know. Do you want to see a peaceful night?” Luna asked as she walked over to the library door.
“A night where I don’t have to have a sword drawn?” Steve said.
“A night where I do not get punctured with arrows!” Rover said excitedly as he jumped up and down.
“A night with no torches.” Susie said.
“...Yes, to all of them.” Luna said, a little confused by what Rover had said.
“Then why not?” Steve said shrugging. “Might be nice to actually see a moon for once.”
“Come outside with me.” Luna said, opening the door. Steve hesitated for a moment before he walked over to the door and ducked his head so he could walk out as Susie walked after him with Rover. Luna’s horn glowed as she slowly flew into the evening air and closed her eyes as she brought forth the night, remembering to put every little star and the moon so that the minecraftians could appreciate and see her night clearly. She floated back down to the ground when she finished and opened her eyes.
“Well I’ll be a friendly creeper...” Steve said as he smiled and looked up at the night sky. “That is more beautiful than finding a diamond...”
“It is as beautiful as a bone the master gives me!” Rover said happily.
“I think its better then our night sky honestly.” Susie said.
“Our night sky had a square moon.” Steve said chuckling.
“I am happy you like my night sky, not many ponies appreciate it.” Luna said smiling as Celestia and Twilight walked out of the house.
“It is beautiful! How can other ponies not find a beautiful night like a bone not beautiful?” Rover asked.
“That’s a lot coming from him. He loves his bones.” Steve said smiling as he looked at Luna.
“I can tell.” Luna said.
“Well you can take pride in the fact that three interdimensional beings love you night now.” Celestia said with a smirk.
“Yes I can dear sister, and they may also like your day, since they can roam freely now that we are all at an understanding.” Luna said.
“Agreed.” Celestia said chuckling slightly.
“Thank you for visiting us.” Twilight said smiling.
“Yes, thank you for coming out to see us.... Travelers you could say.” Steve said chuckling slightly. “And I am sorry if Rover was being too... Overbearing.”
“He was no issue, I kinda like him and his silliness.” Luna said smiling as she looked at Rover running around Steve.
“Want to make him your friend? Here...” Steve said as he pulled out a bone and handed it to Luna. “Just give him that and tell him he is a good boy.”
“You said you had no treats.” Susie accused, smiling.
“Hey! A treat is a steak or a cookie. This is a.... Oh shut up.” Steve said crossing his arms.
“I am a good boy!” Rover said as he watched Luna take the bone in her magic and throw it, before running after it.
“He seems to like to run.” Luna said laughing.
“Yes, he loves running.” Susie said smiling.
“I am sorry to be a downer, but we must head back to Canterlot. It was nice talking to you though.” Celestia said smiling.
“Likewise, thank you for talking to us.” Susie said.
“Goodbye, and take care of Rover, he is a good dog.” Luna said as Celestia and her horn glowed, before they disappeared.
“That was eventful.” Steve laughed as he yawned for a second. “Oh jeez... Sorry, I am just a bit tired.”
“There are bedrooms upstairs, turn left once you go up.” Twilight instructed as Rover ran back.
“Where did rainbow smelling pony and dark happy pony go?” Rover asked sadly.
“They had to go Rover.” Steve said patting him on the head.
“Awwww....” Rover said as he lowered his head.
“Maybe they’ll visit again.” Steve said chuckling as he walked back towards the library.
“Maybe.” Susie said as she walked back in with Rover and Twilight.
“Spike, are you ok?” Twilight asked as she saw Spike still standing in the same place as before.
“All that talk of zombies and gore kinda made me a little sick.” He said putting a claw over his mouth.
“Oh, well its fine, they aren't real here, lets get to bed ok and forget about that.” Twilight said, putting a wing around him.
“That would be awesome...” He said giving a small burp as his stomach disagreed with him for a second.
“Heh heh... Sorry about that.” Steve said chuckling sheepishly.
“It’s ok Steve, you didn't know he was scared of zombies.” Twilight said.
“Yeah, I guess... Anyway thanks for letting us into your home.” Steve said as he yawned again.
“It isn't problem.” Twilight said smiling as she put Spike on her back and started walking towards the stairs.
“Well thanks anyhow. Where are we going to sleep again?” He asked as he picked up his piled up armor and pickaxe.
“She just told us a minute ago that it is left from the stairs.” Susie said as she walked up the stairs.
“Ah... Alrighty then.” Steve said as he followed after her with Rover at his heels. They walked up to the spare room and opened it up, ducking as they entered the room. Steve dropped his supplies onto the ground then flopped onto the bed with Susie, too exhausted to worry about his equipment at the moment.
Twilight in the other room looked at Spike and said in a worried whisper, “I wonder what the girls will think when they see Steve and Susie.”
“I guess we will have to wait and see.” Spike said shrugging. “From what I could tell, it can go one of two ways. Either it works and everypony is happy to meet them, or he starts telling those scary stories again and scares everypony to death.”
“I guess you're right.” Twilight said as she lied back in her bed and closed her eyes.
