The tale of the Mare in the Moon is common knowledge in Equestria. Luna descended into darkness and forced Celestia to banish her with the elements.

However, the story goes much deeper, for Luna's descent not only caused strife among the populace, it started an all out holy war across Equestria. These were Equestria's darkest times, every race was pitted against each other for control of the government, and Celestia was almost overthrown.

Celestia had destroyed all record of the event. Except for one. The only remaining record is that of Luna's closest friend, Silver Line. This is her story.
