The Conquests of a Dragon

“Sweetie Belle!” Rarity disapproval was clear. She had always taught her sister that any display of generosity was one to be grateful for.
“No, she’s right; it was a very enjoyable night, after all.” Spike flashed an almost evil smile at Rarity before turned his attention back to Sweetie Belle. “So, I assume you already have something in mind, since you brought it up.”
“Indeed I do.” Sweetie wondered if she was being too playful in front of her sister, but thankfully Rarity seemed to pay it no heed.
“Not telling, huh… wait, you’re not going to do the whole dragon hunting thing again are you? I thought after you three got your Cutie Marks I’d be able to stop worrying about having paper towel rolls thrown at me like spears.”

With their meals finished, Sweetie led Spike upstairs to her room as Rarity kindly offered to clean up. Once Spike stepped far enough in, the door magically shut behind him and locked. “Well… that’s never a good sign. I’m not up here to move furniture or something reasonable am I?”

You had all these crazy experiences, I mean zip-lining, come on, and you hung out with heroes! Hell, you became a hero in your own right, but you never stopped being you. Rarity and her friends, except maybe Rainbow Dash, they always saw us as fillies to be taught and protected, but you saw us as crusaders… as friends. You’ve always been this perfect in-between that connected us with them. Like some kind of mythical, legendary existence, being around you has always made things better, everyone who knows you are better for it. He once again cracked the door and searched for the mare he loved. With the coast clear, he beckoned Sweetie Belle inside. Much like Spike, she snuck right to the door on her tippy-toes.
“I can’t go into Rarity’s room.”

He opened the door for Sweetie. “Welcome to Rarity’s personal costume room.”

“Me too.” With that Spike made his exit.
With what Sweetie could only assume was some sort of dragon magic, Spike convinced Rarity to let him show both of them a day and a night on the town. It had all started out simple enough, a friendly walk in the park, where Spike had tripped nearly falling into a duck pond causing the sister’s to laugh, and had gradually escalated to more romantic and grand gestures. Rarity had mentioned something about Spike having some very impressive connections and friends, but she had never realized just how far up the food chain it had gone. At the club Spike had dragged Rarity and her onto the dance floor at the same time.
