At first they seemed peaceful, harmless even. After all, what could a formless pseudo-thought-form do?

Nothing it seemed,until one somehow fed off of a retired solder's nightmare. Then it all went to hell.

The solder went insane, killed half his hometown in under an hour.

300 people in 113 different houses in 43 minuets all in complete silence.

He was found the next day dead of fear.

Then the war began."

"...... Any questions? ......"

"WAKE UPPP!!!!!!!!!!"

"Come on Twilight you need to wake up we're here."

Twilight woke up with a start, eyes scanning her surroundings. Nothing was out of place in the train car. Twilight sighed, relieved that all was well."Thank you Spike". She said.

"So why do you think the Princesses want to see you this time Twilight ?" Spike asked with a tone that is 25% boredom, 25% irritation, and 50% wonder. "I don't know Spike, but I think it may have to do with the last letter I had you send".

"You mean the one you didn't let me read? what was that about anyway?"

"I'll tell you later Spike". Twilight responded,double-checking her saddle bags as they step off the train into Canterlot station."For now lets hurry, we can't keep the Princesses waiting".

  On Nyal safe house

"Warning....Warning... safe-house breached ...Warning" the alarm calmly blared.

"So ... they finally found us, computer engage self destruct run beta" A tall enshrouded entity said.

"thoughtpulse fusion and teraport engaged" the computer vocalized.

     " How long before the inner sanctum is breached?"

"estimated  7 minuets until  the sanctum is breached" the AI replied as calm as before.

"7 minuets? Dam, they are sure taking there time aren't they?"  The Wraith asked sarcastically."You know seeing as we have the time open recfile The summons of the Shadow".

The Wraith enters the core of the inner sanctum, cybernetic eye scanning for two certain lifeforms.

His eyes widen as he sees not two lifeforms but three. This, he realizes is why the invaders were taking their time.

They had a insider all along.

Chaos-given order

As he realized this he took action.  Diving he knocked his charges, that is the life forms he was to take care of, into the first of the two pods and sent it off into the dream-world.

Large and small ,near and far

next with a surge of speed born of the combined drives to kill the monster before him and protect his young charges from all harm: he jumped onto the thing's back, stomped on its' air intake valve, then used it as a springboard to dive into his own master pod and launched  it  into the dream-gate.

As Twilight and Spike approach the throne room they are surprised to see twice the normal number of guards

"Twilight" Spike asked" why do you think there are so many more guards than usual"

"I don't know Spike "Twilight said "we'll have to ask the princesses". Both felt a tingle of magic passed over them  as they entered the throne room "What's that about". Spike wondered to himself. As the doors as to the throne room shut behind them they are astounded. The room was filled to the brim with cats of all types. As Twilight and Spike approached the thrones dais this they heard the shimmering of Magic and the voice of Princess Luna saying" nope nope not this one either" Luna said irritably " Tiaaaa, all of these cats are just that, cats... Tia? Where are you?"

The Wraith collapsed into the stasis pod that was held in the cockpit of his craft.
