Trouble In Equestria

Chapter 3

~The Spread~

Spike awoke to the horrible sounds coming from Twilight's bed. Spike saw a trail of blood slowly sliding across the floor making its way towards him. "Twilight? What's going on? Are you okay?" asked Spike for he was concerned for his dear friend.

"GAAHH" screeched Twilight trying desperately to talk, but she just couldn't. Her head began to throb and she could hear the pounding of her heart beat in her head.

Spike got out from under his blanket and went over to Twilight's bed. Spike could not belive his eyes.
"Twilight, wh-what's happened to you?!?!?" yelled Spike slowly backing away from Twilight's bed.

Twilight let out a small groan and very slowly started to move. She had no control over her body at this point and she began to feel her soul slowly slipping away.

Spike ran down the stairs and went to and grabbed the nearest quil and paper he could fin and began to write:

Dear Princess Celestia,
Something is wrong with Twilight!! She needs your help!! Please hurry!!
Your friend,
Spike

He got and instant reply that said:

Dear Spike,
This is Princess Luna. Princess Celestia has some business in another town right now so she has put me in charge. I will be right over to help Twilight.
Sincerely,
Princess Luna

There was a knock at the door and Princess Luna walked in with Dr.Hooves.

"Dr.Hooves is here to inspect Twilight. Now where is he?" Luna asked skimming the room.

"She's upstairs but she doesn’t look to good." Spike nervously said for he was afraid that the doctor might not know what is wrong with Twilight.

Spike led the Princess and Dr.Hooves up the stairs followed by Luna's bodyguards.

"She's right he-" Spike stopped. Twilight was nowhere to be seen, but there was a tremendous amount of blood. Twilight's blood. Her blood led off the bed and towards the window. Everypony looked towards the window and saw that it was open, and the trail of blood stopped there.

"It seems she is not here Spike." laughed Luna. "This is not funny Spike. I don't have time to be playing your little games." she scolded.

"But this isn't a joke! Twilight was right here!" protested Spike desperate to have the Princess believe him.

"I don't have time for this!" Luna yelled as she stormed towards the door.

There was a loud noise outside that sounded like a scream, and everypony looked towards the door.

Feeling restless, Rainbow Dash went for a walk down the street in Ponyville. She had a strange feeling that somepony was following her. She looked over her shoulder and saw Twilight. Twilight was standing just a few feet away from Rainbow Dash but Rainbow could not see Twilight because it was to dark outside.

"Is that you Twilight?" Rainbow Dash whispered.

"Gaaahhh" groaned Twilight, stepping ever so slowly towards Rainbow Dash.

"What did you say? I didn't quit get that." Rainbow Dash backed up until she was under a street light. She saw Twilight coming towards her, groaning with each step.

"Gahh" Twilight groaned stepping under the street light. Rainbow Dash now saw the horrible condition her friend was in and screamed.

"Twilight! What happened to you?" asked Rainbow Dash stepping closer to Twilight. Twilight let out a little groan and then jumped on top of Rainbow Dash.

"Twilight!! What the heck are you doing?!?! Get off of me!" Rainbow Dash was now panicking for she couldn't push Twilight off of her. Rainbow Dash gaped for breath but only caught a whif of the horrible stench that was Twilight. She smelled like rotten apples mixed with rotting flesh. Twilight bit Rainbow Dash right onn the cheek and then she bit her ear off.

"AAAAAAHHH!!!" screamed Rainbow Dash desperately trying pry Twilight off of her. Twilight was crunching on Rainbow's ear like a potato chip. Rainbow Dash looked into Twilight's blank eyes. This was not the Twilight she once knew and loved.

"Hehehehehe"

Rainbow Dash looked around trying to find out who she had heard just laugh.

"Help!! Please! Somepony, anypony! Please help me!!" screamed Rainbow Dash.

"Are you having fun yet?"

Rainbow looked around, then she saw him. Sitting high up in the clouds was Discord.

"You!! What have you done to Twilight?" demanded Rainbow Dash.

"Me? I only gave her a little bit of apples hahaha" Discord laughed. "There is no hope for Equestria now! Have fun in hell my little pony!" and with that Discord had vanished.

Everypony looked towards the door where they herd the screams coming from.

"What was that?" confused, Princess Luna walked over to the door and opened it just a crack.

"Maybe it's Twilight!!" yelled Spike shoving Luna aside to get through the door. Luna and her guards followed him. They ran around for 5 minutes trying to find out where the screams where coming from. They could hear strange noises coming from around the corner. Before anypony could advance, Derpy came zooming past them from up above.

"Save yourselves!!!" She yelled flying as fast as she could in the opposite direction of the noises. They saw Flutterhy round the corner.

"Flutterhy! Do you know what's going on?" asked Spike.

"Gahhhh" Yelled Fluttershy inching towards the group.

"What?" Spike yelled back.

"Oh no!! Fluttershy, they got you too!!" for some reason that voice sounded so familiar to Spike. Then he knew who it was when a pink and fluffy pony jumped in front of him.

'I wonder if her hair tastes like cotton candy' Spike thought. He shook his head. 'Now's not the time.'

"Pinkie Pie, what are you talking about?" confused, Princess Luna cocked her head like a dog.

"I'm talking about the evil zombie ponies!! They’re everywhere!" said Pinkie Pie.

"Zombie ponies?" Luna was still confused.

" You'll be fine just don't let them bite you and don't get their blood on you!!" Pinkie Pie began throwing rocks at Fluttershy hoping to scare her away. That only made this worse. Fluttershy started galloping towards the groaning.

"Run everypony! RUN!!" Pinkie yelled, galloping away from Fluttershy. Spike and Luna followed, but Luna's guards stayed behind trying to fight off the vicious pony. They were very unlucky though.

Pinkie Pie, Spike, and Luna all went back to Twilights House going all the way to the top floor. Luna looked out the window on the balcony. She couldn't believe her eyes. The whole town was covered in these strange 'zombie ponies'.

"What are we going to do Princess?" Spike asked with tears coming to his eyes.

"We must find a way to stop this madness before it gets out of hand." She said.

"But how?" cried Spike desperate to stop it too.

"I don't know." Luna said tears now coming to her eyes as she looked at Ponyville.
