Rainbow Dash worked as one of the technicians on the Gigantic, a giant cruise ship that sailed back and forth over the Equestrian Ocean. Often, ponies would look surprised when they saw a pegasus replacing a light bulb, or cleaning out a shaft of the air conditioning system. Most of the time, technicians were unicorns, who could levitate tools and make small adjustments easily. Being a pegasus had its advantages though, one of them being easily able to take a closer look at things that were high up, or big in general, and thus hard to reach for the unicorns.
When ponies asked her about her cutie mark and whether she wouldn’t rather want to fly more, she simply shrugged and answered that her cutie mark of a cloud with a lightning bolt represented her affinity with electrical apparatus, and machinery in general. If she thought too much about them, she could - figuratively - be with her head in the clouds. She just happened to be a pegasus, that was all, and the way she brought it, ponies assumed she just had a healthy passion for machinery, which they took as a valid reason.
Though, the truth was that it was more than a passion to her. It was love. When she worked hard on a piece of machinery, she could sometimes forget all about her surroundings, and see the apparatus as more than a piece of metal. They were almost like living things to her, which, like all living things, needed to be treated with care, and especially love. And she would give them that love.
Being a technician enabled her to reach pretty much any place of the ship without raising too much suspicion, as long as she had a reason to go there, and over time, she’d made love with dozens of the ship’s equipment. Generators, discolights, one time even the foghorn. The only thing left that she really wanted to try someday was the bridge. From what she’d heard from others, it would be absolute heaven for her, though there usually also was someone around. And it was about the only place on the ship she couldn’t get into without half the ship breaking down. Sure, she could probably sabotage some auxiliary systems, but that was cheating. Cheating was no fun, so she patiently awaited her opportunity. Although with the ship’s five year anniversary coming up soon, there was a slight chance that all the high officers would be at some boring ball or something, and she would have the place all to herself.
Tonight though, the backup engine would have to do. It had been giving warnings to the bridge the past few days, but the passengers were priority number one, and her days had been filled with replacing broken light bulbs and other things that were reported. Today had been a pretty quiet day though, so she felt she had enough energy left to take a look at it. Making sure her earplugs were in place, she went in, and took a moment to take in the sight of all the glorious equipment there. The room was massive, with the four turbines that drove the main screw dominating the room. There were also smaller versions scattered around, along with generators for other various vital functions of the ship.
Engine B-02, she recalled, quickly finding her target on the overview of the room that hung next to the door. Flying over the the real thing, she also scanned the place for any other ponies, but it seemed she was alone. She’d expected that, though. The staff knew that she intended to take a look at the engine tonight, and knowing that she worked better alone, would try to keep her undisturbed. Which shouldn’t be too hard, considering the fact that nopony really wanted to be in the engine room in the first place anyway, because of the tremendous noise.
Setting to work, she first disconnected the engine from the main control system, so that it couldn’t be accidentally turned on while she was working on it. Switching it to manual control, she tried to start it a few times, but apart from a few spits and sputters, it didn’t do much. Shutting it down completely, she took a screwdriver from her toolbox and began unscrewing a few plates that covered the engine, and soon, the sight of the naked engine block greeted her eyes, only a small frame remaining around the block where the plates had been attached to. It was one of those straight six diesel engines, serving as backup for the system that pre-heated the fuel oil the main engines ran on. While diesel was more expensive than fuel oil, running the system that heated the fuel oil on engines and generators that used said fuel oil was just waiting for one of the components in that circle to fail one day.
With the engine cover removed, she couldn’t see much wrong with it at first sight, and replacing the bougies didn’t fix the problem either. Oooh, a challenge... You know I love a challenge.
An hour or so later, she had finally identified the problem: one of the sensors was giving readouts of zero while other sensors reported that the engine was, indeed, powering up. The engine had some hardwired logic to cut out in such a case, but didn’t provide an easy interface indicating which of the sensors was being defective, so she had to rely on using simply a voltage meter, schematics and trial and error to find out.
When she measured at the sensor itself though, it gave correct readouts, which meant that something between the sensor and the control logic had broken. Rats, she grumbled.
She was right; the wire had broken in - naturally - the single place she couldn’t reach. She tried for a while to reach it - hooves, tail, even with her wings - but as all that failed, impatience was starting to get the better of her. She was dirty, covered in various fluids, most of them being grease, and it was all taking much longer than she had initially thought.
In the end, she just replaced the whole wire, running it along places she could actually reach. Why anypony ever constructed it like that was beyond her, but she didn’t really care about that. In fact, she was kind of happy with it, because it gave her a job to do. That, and the fact that she had now reached the fun part: testing whether it was working properly again. Which was essentially just turning on the engine and let it run for a while under her supervision. And since nopony ever said that she just had to sit there and do nothing for a while, Rainbow had made it a habit of turning that part into a makeout session.
After firing up the engine - this time it didn’t stall during startup - she waited a minute or so, before she flew up to the naked frame around it, and lay down on it on her belly. From her vantage point atop the engine, she could see all the internals hard at work at burning diesel fuel, expelling it into one of the pipes that lead to the ship’s chimney. All that energy, wasted, she pondered, remembering how the engine wasn’t actually powering anything at the moment.
Well, almost all of it.
It was true. Part of the energy left the engine as warmth instead of exhaust fume, which rose up from the block, enveloping the cyan pegasus directly above it in it’s warmth. You’re so hot... in more than one way...
The ‘other’ way Rainbow Dash was referring to would be the vibrations the engine was causing to the frame, and in turn, her body. While they weren’t the strong vibrations she could get from one of the four big ones, what this engine lacked in amplitude, it made up in frequency. If she had to describe it, it would be something along the lines of ‘a vibrator, but much more powerful,’ except that she totally didn’t care about such comparisons. Bathing in the warmth of the engine, her legs dangling from the frame, Rainbow quickly felt her insides heat up as well, and soon, her wings had extended, as if trying to catch as much of the uprising draft of heat as possible. She was utterly at peace, one with the engine, and when she gave the warm metal a tentative lick, a moan escaped her lips.
She alternated between licking and kissing the piece of metal directly in front of her, looking down into the engine and see the pistons at work, and simply lying there with her eyes closed, inhaling and enjoying the smell of diesel in the air, and the vibrations that extended throughout her whole body, from her hooves to the tip of her nose. Captain Spitfire and the officers were enjoying a ball with the elite guests on the ship’s five-year anniversary voyage. There was nopony at the controls, but there wasn’t much to hit in the middle of the ocean anyway. There wasn’t a single ship within a hundred mile radius at least, so they had simply put the ship on course and locked the rudder.
It was a beautiful summer night out here in the middle of the ocean: cold and clear, with the stars and the moon shining down on them. The ocean itself was like a mirror. Tonight, they could let all of their worries sail for a moment, with no imminent danger of any sort in sight, and relax just like the passengers.
Suddenly, wrong vibrations were felt throughout the whole ship, swaying from side to side, after which everything became quiet and the main engines cut out. The lights still stayed on - those were on separate generators - but they were now effectively steerless. Which shouldn’t really be of much danger, given that there wasn’t anything to hit in the middle of the ocean, but as Captain, Spitfire was responsible to find out what the hay just happened.

Tonight, with the ocean being as flat as a mirror and the moon reflecting on its surface, there were multiple parties all over the ship celebrating its fifth anniversary since its christening. The biggest ones were the one at the stern, and the classy ball which all the more elite passengers, and most likely the ship’s captain and officers as well, were attending. Apart from a few ponies wandering around here and there, the bridge section was pretty much deserted, and she had little difficulty in sneaking up to it in a stealthy way.
Not long after, Rainbow Dash reached her destination. The door was open, but she couldn’t hear any voices coming from inside. Peering around the corner, she found that the bridge was, indeed, completely deserted. For a moment, she just glanced around the room, taking in the sight of all the high tech equipment and computers. She let out a small fangirl squeal in pure delight, before she came back to her senses. Yes, tonight she was definitely going to make a dream come true.
But first, she had to make sure that she couldn’t be disturbed, so she closed the door - two of them actually, for the bridge had two entrances - silently, and locked them. Judging by the little info leaflet on her side of the doors, when locked from inside, they couldn’t be opened from outside, in case severe mutiny were to ever happen. She didn’t worry too much about it though. The few ponies most likely to come up here were the captain and some officers, all of which were at the ball right now, so as long as they didn’t have a reason to come here, she guessed she was safe. Even if they did, she could always play dumb and say that she had to fix something, not knowing that the doors couldn’t be opened from outside. And to make sure she couldn’t hear anyone knocking on them either, she put in her earplugs as well, so that she could ‘concentrate better.’ She was going to let absolutely nothing come between realizing this dream of her now anymore.
Having been around machinery for so many years now, she had a rough idea of what certain things did, and as such, the ones to stay away from. The ship was currently on auto, and the thing that she assumed was the radar showed the ship itself in the middle and nothing else in the entire region visible around it. Good. She felt that just being in the vicinity of all this was making her mind spin already. She’d waited for this moment so long, she wanted to make it last.
After making a few rounds through the room, as if deciding whom she would give the pleasure, she found herself constantly drawn towards a big display with an overview of the ship. It showed a lot of sections of the ship, all in one overview, and at the moment, they were all green. They should be, really.
She pressed a button labelled ‘Test’ and the display began cycling through green, yellow and red colors for all the sections of the ship. She was familiar with such things; it was simply a way to check if all the lights that usually didn’t, or never should, light up on a more advanced system were still working. Neat.
But it wasn’t the display itself that drew her attention so much. It was the not-that-small joystick in front of it, which was moving a little bit every now and then as the autopilot was keeping the ship on its designated course. Whoever crafted it though, had also accidentally, or perhaps on purpose, made it about the same proportions as that certain part of a stallion when excited.
I want you, in me, now, was all she could think of, and the next moment, she was hovering over it, ready to lower her body onto it. It was a bit of a weird position, standing up against the control panel, her forehooves carefully placed on the few spots that weren’t covered in buttons, while her hindlegs were still touching the ground. It would have to do though, and she couldn’t wait to begin.

Her clouded mind was only set on one thing now: revenge, and show that joystick who’s boss.

“What do you mean, we hit an iceberg!” yelled Spitfire.
She was standing in front of the locked door to the bridge, and with no access to the overview systems of the ship, had great difficulty in figuring out and understanding the situation. The door was locked from the inside, and could only be opened from there. This was a safety feature such that, should riots ever occur, she could seal herself inside is she needed to, but it was tremendously working against her now.
“Who in Equestria would put an iceberg in the middle of the ocean anyway!”
“Uhh madam? That’s kinda what icebergs are fo-” answered a young recruit, before being cut off by one of his seniors.
“Captain! Captain! We have a major problem!”
“Lieutenant Soarin, didn’t I send you down to check the engine room? And why are you dripping water all over the place?”
“That’s just it, madam. The engine room has flooded!”
Seconds passed before the reality of the day - or night, as it were - caught up with Spitfire, and she realized that they were sinking. The huge engine room was like a deliberate design flaw of the ship. Other sections could be sealed off with watertight doors as long as the engines were still running, but once the engines cut and flooded, they were doomed. This was confirmed a few moments later by other officers returning with the news that the lower decks were already taking water, and that rumors began to spread under the passengers.
“Okay, everypony stay calm and ready the life-” Spitfire never finished her sentence, as loud alarms started blaring all over the ship.
Chaos overtook the ship, and while plenty of the passengers were, in fact, pegasi, flying was something that didn’t really take off when a pony was struck by fear. The same was true for the magic of the unicorns, which, under normal circumstances, should have been able to close the watertight doors.
Lifeboats were lowered into the ocean, each carrying one or two crew members, plus about fifty passengers. Families with foals were rescued first, allowing the entire family on board of the lifeboat. After that, ponies were randomly picked - protocol required they made no distinction on race, gender or marital status - though many couples opted to stay behind if their loved one wasn’t selected as well.
The crew worked wonders in how many ponies they were able to get off the ship, despite all the chaos around, but time wasn’t on their side. The ship was simply sinking too fast and soon, the bow of the ship had already disappeared completely under the surface of the sea.
With only about one fourth of the passengers rescued, Spitfire ordered to cease the rescue operation. It wouldn’t be much longer before the ship would go down now - it was sinking very fast; the iceberg must have caused tremendous damage for it to sink at the rate it was doing - and when it did, the downdraft following in its wake would be strong enough to take any lifeboats lowered now with it as well. She held a small speech, telling the remaining passengers to share the last few moments in the company of their loved ones, or if they were single, find another single and just pretend. She wasn’t making jokes of the situation, but they were all in the same boat now, and the best thing to do was just accept it. The last thing she said was that all crew members were now off-duty, free to remain in the crowd, or follow her to the bridge.
She ignored the uproar that started the moment she turned her back on the crowd, remembering only the few ponies at the front who started kissing when her speech ended. She went down with her ship, together with the few officers that had followed her, on the wrong side of the locked door that lead to the bridge...

Mad at the ship for throwing her off like that, Rainbow had pretty much instantly started to simply hump the joystick into submission. And while she secretly enjoyed a really rough ride like she was getting now, she couldn’t let that show, so for ‘punishment’ she also pushed random buttons, her hooves roaming all over the panel. She doubted it could be of much danger, given that the ship was still on auto. She totally missed the fact that there hadn’t been any minor course corrections over the last ten or so minutes, merely thinking her severe pounding was teaching the joystick a lesson.
The same was true for the alarm bells she heard going off when she pushed a particular red button, but it didn’t ring any bells with her. It was merely background noise that filtered here and there through the sexual cloud that occupied her mind, her entire body. She had other important things to do right now, like getting all the parts on the overview to show up red as she was determined to have the ship submit to her.
When she felt a cold wetness between her legs, she never bothered to look down, or around the room, really. It was probably nothing, or just some of her own fluids dribbling down or something. Besides, she was getting closer again, and although she had already beaten her previous record of how long she could hold out to bits and pieces, Rainbow constantly set herself new challenges. And with more and more of the ship’s section turning red, she was determined to cum only after all the sections were red - after the ship had finally submitted to her.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, she achieved her goal: the last two sections of the ship turned red. She had reached her goal. The ship had submitted.
Not a moment later, she came incredibly hard. If it hadn’t been for her silly little challenge, she would have come long ago, but determination was a strong factor for a practised lover such as herself, and holding out longer and longer had taken her to new heights she had never reached before.

She couldn’t see anything, and although she could swim a little bit if her life depended on it, that wasn’t of much use if she couldn’t see where she was going. Even if she did somehow reach the door, how was she supposed to get it open? The lock would be underwater by now, and she couldn’t dive, not underwater at least. In the air, diving was a whole different matter, but that too wouldn’t be of much use.
She panicked. She panicked until she felt herself pressed up against the roof. Fear overtook her as she felt the water rising fast now. It covered her ears, her eyes, and finally, her mouth and nose. She ran out of air, and drowned not long after. Along with hundreds of innocent ponies.
The ship might have submitted to Rainbow Dash, but as a last act of resistance, if it had to go down, then it made sure to take the pegasus that cared for it’s engines with it as well.
