//-------------------------------------------------------// The Written Fatality of Rainbow 'Danger' Dash -by Queen Hallelujah- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Fatality //-------------------------------------------------------// Fatality (Rainbowdash's POV) 3 months later. I walked to the schoolhouse to pick up Scootaloo with a determined look in my eyes, and a little kick in my hoofsteps. I was thoroughly convinced that today was the day. As I reached the window, I could see the orange filly looking around the room, bored at her desk. Then her eyes wandered over to the window where I was. Scootaloo hoof-pumped the air, then smiled at me. I smiled back. I walked into the schoolhouse. "Yes, Rainbowdash?" Ms. Cheerilee asked. "I'm just here to pick up Scootaloo early." I replied. Sweetie Belle and Applebloom waved as I walked her out of the school. "Scootaloo, I think today is the day." I said. "You really think so?" she gasped. "Yes. I am super duper 20% cooler sure of it." I replied. As I arranged a cloud for her to sit on, then helped her fly up, since she had trained, as me her trainer, and didn't need a surface to ride on up. I was proud of her. I flew over to a cloud, then flew straight up into the air. My wings clutched close to my body, going into a nosedive. It was unreal. My mane flapping in the wind, my eyes going teary with how fast I was going. Then, a loud bang ricochet through the clearing, and I could feel an almost paralyzing pain go through my wing and heart. I swerved to the right, blood intertwining with the rainbow trail behind me. I smashed into the ground, skidding and rolling over, my neck snapping with the impact. I finally stopped, thanks to the ground. I was barely breathing, and I could just barely see a small orange face over me, tears running down her cheeks. I was bleeding out fast. "Scootaloo... just remember me when I'm gone. I won't make it in time for you to get help..." I said. Her went black as Luna's night. "YES! YES! WE GOT HER!" Midnight Moon said excitedly, hoof bumping her faithful friend, Backfire. They laughed. "Only 5 more element ponies to go. This should be easy, considering how easy it was to shoot this one out of the sky." the evil moon princess snarled. Backfire nodded. They flew away, going to get their next target. //-------------------------------------------------------// Fatality of My Heart //-------------------------------------------------------// Fatality of My Heart (Scootaloo's POV) I was sitting at my desk, glancing boredly around, when I saw Rainbowdash smiling in the glass window just 2 desks away from mine. I smiled back, then hoof pumped in the air. She walked through the door. "Yes, Rainbowdash?" Ms. Cheerilee asked. "Just here to pick up Scootaloo early." she replied to the slightly annoyed mare. Sweetie Belle and Applebloom waved goodbye, and I waved back as Rainbowdash opened the door for me. I walked out. "I am super duper 20% cooler that today is the day, Scootaloo." she said to me. "Really?!" I said excitedly. "Yes." she said. I jumped off her back and got a pretty good start, flying in place. Rainbowdash then set up a cloud for me, and a sat on it, eager to watch her do this amazing feat. She flew way up, so high I almost couldn't see her, and she dived down. A loud bang shot across the clearing, and I jumped in fright. I saw my hero, jerk to the right, and roll and tumble into the ground. "NOO!" I yelled. I never flew faster. Quickly at her side, I could see her wing had been blown through, smoking. "Scootaloo, just remember me when I'm gone. I won't last long enough for you to get help..." Rainbowdash choked. I nodded as her eyes rolled into the back of her head, and her eyelids shut.  I touched her wing with my hoof, it still smoking, but I didn't care. I was lost. My guardian was now dead. I could only cry. "Oh.. my Celestia! What the hay happened here!" a familiar voice asked. I turned around. Applejack and her 4 friends were at the edge of the wide field, galloping towards her quickly. I stepped back from my fallen hero. Twilight nudged Applejack out of the way. "We have to get her to a medic, quickly!" she panicked. "There isn't a reason to. Twilight... SHE'S DEAD!" I screamed. "Oh... Scootaloo. There isn't a reason to yell." Fluttershy said softly. "Yes. There is. My only guardian in life just died. I don't have anymore light to live from. Why does everyone I care about in my life have to die!" I cried. "Oh, don't think about it that way, darling." Rarity said. "But it is what it is, Rarity. Sorry." I snapped back at her. Applejack put limp Rainbowdash on her back. "Whata we do now?" Applejack asked. "We plan a funeral." I replied. The 5 ponies nodded and hung their heads, even Pinkie, who had her hair straight. I looked at the death scene behind me. Something glimmered in the dirt. I ran back and picked it up. Rainbowdash's goggles. A tear dropped from my face, washing out the rubbish in the lenses. I put it on, it lifted up my purple hair so it wouldn't catch. I took them off and put them around my neck since they didn't fit. I sighed and looked to the sky. I ran back to the group. "Why did this have to happen to me?" I murmured. //-------------------------------------------------------// Special Chapter //-------------------------------------------------------// Special Chapter (Rainbowdash's POV) After the school session was over, I flew down to pick up Scootaloo. I waited by the door, as about 30 school aged ponies exited, with Scootaloo in the back. She smiled when she saw me. "What are you going to show me today, Rainbowdash?" Scootaloo asked excitedly. "The perfect Sonic Rainboom." I replied. "Oh my Celestia! I've never seen one of those before!" the young flyer said. "Well, sport, you won't see one today, it takes about 2-3 months to train to actually get there." I said, hating to give Scootaloo's hopes up. "Oh. Ok. That's fine. Maybe I could help with the training obstacles or something!" she offered. I couldn't say no, she seemed so determined. "Sure, that would help a lot." I told her, patting her on the head with my hoof. I flew up to my cloudhouse to get my training gear. I looked back down to see if Scootaloo was following me. She was trying her best, but with those small wings of hers she could only lift herself off the ground about a foot. Silly me. Always forgetting. I swooped down and let her stand inbetween my wings. Scootaloo sighed as the wind pummeled through her purple hair. I dragged the stuff out. Then I told her where they were supposed to be placed on the clouds. Then, we went to it. //-------------------------------------------------------// Setting Up The Course //-------------------------------------------------------// Setting Up The Course (Scootaloo's POV) I was so excited. Rainbowdash was picking me up after school! She said she had wanted to show me something. I was at the end of the line as our class filed out of the schoolhouse, since we go in line by shortest to longest. 2 words were at the front, though. I have 9 letters in my name. S-C-O-O-T-A-L-O-O. 9 letters. Rainbowdash has 11. R-A-I-N-B-O-W-D-A-S-H. As I walked out, the rainbow-haired mare waited for me. I looked in awe at how brave she looked in the sunlight. She is my hero. When I she was there for me when I was sitting in the alleyway. Tons of ponies passed me, but not a single one spoke. Some of them shot me with angry looks. But not Rainbowdash. She asked why I was here alone. I told her my reasons, and she took me in. "Umm, Scootaloo? You okay?" my hero asked, waving a hoof in front of me. "Sorry." I giggled. She told me about how she needed to train for 2-3 months before she could do a Sonic Rainboom, and that she needed my help to set up training courses and help train. I climbed up onto her back to fly to her cloudhouse. Rainbowdash then went to the back and pulled out her equipment. "Just set the hoops along that cloudbend, and I will get the obstacles to set on those clouds over there." she told me. I took 6 hoops in 4 trips, while she took 5 obstacles in 2. "Scootaloo! That's great! Thanks for helping me set up. Just sit on the cloud over... there so you can see me conquer these hurdles and hoops. I quickly flew over to the cloud. Rainbowdash gathered her energy, then pounced soaring through the hoops so fast I thought they might tip over. Then, she turned her hooves and wings in such a sync, it seemed unreal. She jumped over the first hurdle, then the second without a flaw, continuing the same with the others. Rainbowdash smiled at me as she sat on a cloud near me. I smiled back and looked over Ponyville, sighing. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Funeral //-------------------------------------------------------// The Funeral (Scootaloo's POV) Saturday We arrived at the gravesite around 10:00. Spitfire and the whole Wonderbolt team was standing on the left, and Applebloom and Sweetie Belle . The first speaker, Rainbowdash's cousin, ended, and it was my turn. I stepped up onto a donut box to reach the mic. "When I was just a little filly, my parents died. I didn't want to be taken to the orphanage, so I started living a usual homeless life. I made my own home in an ally, but I had nothing to protect me. Ponies, thousands, I bet, gave me mean looks. But not RD. She saw me in my little cardboard home and knocked on the door. She brang me home, smiling. I loved my guardian with all my heart. About 3 months ago, we started training for this Sonic Rainboom. We trained and trained, until less than a week ago, RD said she was ready. I landed on a cloud nearby, and watched her fly up, and attempt to dive to the ground in a Sonic Rainboom. She was about halfway there. A loud bang sounded through the clearing, and she jerked sideways. Rainbowdash, my guardian and hero, was dead as soon as she hit that ground. A bullet had been shot through her wing. We don't know who shot the bullet. But I hope we find out. Thank you for letting me speak." I said. Then the grave ceremony began, the Wonderbolt symbol imprinted onto her coffin. I took a cyan rose and placed it on top of it. A few more ponies talked, then we all went home. Well, almost all of us. 2 days later in Canterlot, in the Royal Castle. (3rd person POV) "No... this can't be happening!" Twilight Sparkle cried in agony. The 5 remaining ponies, along with Scootaloo watched as the red lightning bolt, representing the Element of Loyalty, glowed, then died out. Celestia and Luna looked at each other in worry. "The Elements of Harmony..." Scootaloo sighed.
