Osip ran happily along the snow swept plain, his heavy boots weighting him down. Ahead of him ran the love of his life Anastasia, named after the Great Russian princess she was twice, no thrice as beautiful. They were in Siberia doing plant research for Vladivostok University. Osip hoped that Anastasia would not be too worried with research, least it take away time from the two of them. Anastasia had a look of pure joy on her face, then she froze and her smile vanished. What is wrong? Osip asked. Its two dead horses, she replied. So, what is the problem? Osip asked. I’ve never seen horses like these before. What is so unusual ab-. Osip began as his eyes made contact with the horses; the first was a creamy white, whose mane looked as if the sun itself had set it ablaze. The second was a dark blue, with a mane that resembled the stars. However the heads and tails of the horses were still wedged deep into the snow. Osip grabbed the white horses neck and pulled as hard as he could, and the horses head came out of the snow. Then Anastasia began to cry, they are real! She spouted. What? Osip asked as a look of confusion ran across his face. He then looked down at the horses head, and noticed a large horn coming out of its forehead. A unicorn? Impossible, this is some ones trick! How do you know? Anastasia asked, just because you have never seen a Pegasus unicorn does not mean that they are imaginary. Ham for it to be a Pegasus it would have to have wings! Osip said bitterly. It does! Anastasia argued. Osip brushed more of the snow off of the unicorn’s body, and its wings were revealed. What are we going to do? Anastasia asked. I’m going to call Professor Leonid at the university; he will want to see this first hand. Osip pulled out his ancient Nokia cellphone and dialed Leonid’s number. Dah? The old man asked. It is me Professor, Osip. Oh yes how is the plant finding going, I hear that the-. Professor we have discovered far more than flowers. What is it? We-. Anastasia shot Osip a dirty look. Anastasia found the bodies of two Pegasus unicorns. WHAT! Leonid screamed. Are you joking! We are not joking, they are very real, if not why would Anastasia and I waist our time calling you, you know what I think that I will call the Military; I think they would be very interested in such a discovery Osip threatened. Alright, don’t touch anything, and don’t call the Military, Leinn only knows what kind of damage they could do with that much magic. I will be there shortly after I grab some papers from my office. What did he say? Anastasia asked. He said not to call the Military, and that he will be here soon. Osip put the cellphone in his pocket. As he did so Anastasia slipped on a chunk of show and fell to the ground. Her left hand slid under the dark blue Pegasus Unicorn and hid what felt like paper, she grabbed it and pulled herself up. You need to practice your balance! Osip joked. Look she said what language is this? I have no idea Osip replied, but it certainly isn’t Russian. Anastasia and Osip waited in out in the cold tundra for two hours, by this time they were extremely cold and hungry. Then Professor Leonid arrived in his 1966 Lada estate. He put the car in park, retrieved a bag from the back seat. And then he climbed out of the car. Oh, sweet Stalin! Leonid exclaimed when he saw the bodies of the two Pegasus unicorns. See professor, I told you they were real. Osip said his voice full of triumph. So, what happens now? Anastasia asked. Well, we will take them back to the university and dissect them; this is a great discovery to science. Then they heard the sound of a truck. Osip glanced behind them and saw not one but two ZiL trucks, and a BMP-2 armored fighting vehicle. Professor! He exclaimed. What is it? Leonid began to ask, and then he saw the trucks, and the IFV, Oh, no he gasp. How did they find us? Osip asked. They must have been listening to the university’s phone lines, I feel so stupid for not talking to you on a secure line! Look! Anastasia cried, as she pointed at the black dot in the sky that was rapidly approaching, so they heard the whup-whup-whup of helicopter blades. What are we going to do? Osip asked. Stay calm, they won’t hurt us, they only want the bodies. The Trucks pulled up to form a semi circle around the Pegasus unicorn’s bodies. A large burley KGB officer climbed off of the second truck, and walked over to Osip and the Professor, behind whom Anastasia quivered. You do realize that holding back a discovery such as this is a crime? The KGB officer asked. He then waved his hand, and Spestsnaz climbed out of the trucks, and picked up the Pegasus unicorns bodies, which they then loaded into the back of the helicopter, which had touched down about 120 yards from their current position. Now, as much as this pains me to say it, we need your help. The KGB officer began. We have records that say that you professor studied the remains of many structures in this area which belonged to these creatures, I’ am correct no? Dah, the professor replied. Well we also have knowledge that you can read their language, I am again correct? Dah. Well, we want you to translate the message written one the piece of paper your students found. Do this and you will be allowed to live. Very well Leonid grumbled. Anastasia handed him the paper, and he began to read. My dearest mother and Father, I leave thou coordinates for our new residence; Celestia informs you are dead, but I know thou are just slumbering, when you awaken, please return home to us. Your daughter Luna. As Leonid finished reading, Anastasia again broke into tears. Shut up woman! The KGB officer commanded. What are the coordinates? 7.10’02.68 South, 69.08’24.09 West. Radio Petropavlovsk tell them to launch a scout plane to check out these coordatines. The KGB officer ordered. Dah a Spestsnaz replied, as he pulled out a radio from his backpack. What happens to us now? Osip asked. You die, of course the KGB officer replied. With that he pulled out his Makarov pistol and shot Osip in the head. His corpse fell to the ground with a thud. He then shot Leonid in the chest. Leonid fell to the ground. Run! He yelled. Anastasia then broke into a dead run. The KGB officer smiled. He raised his pistol to fire. Then a strong arm pushed the pistol down. Do not shoot Docotovitch ordered. Yes comrade Major. The KGB officer replied, saluted and holstered his pistol. Anastasia quit running. Docotovitch then sprinted over to her. Kill me she said, you killed my teacher and my lover, why don’t you just take your gun and kill me too. No, they did not deserve to die and nether do you. What is done is done; there is no way of simply fixing it! Anastasia screamed. I did not say there was. Docotovitch added coldly. You will come with me to Moscow, and there you will remain until this crisis has passed. What if I say no? Anastasia asked. Docotovitch pointed at the courpses of professor Leonid and Osip, please I don’t want you to end up like them, so please come to Moscow.

Oleg, strode into the ready room, and donned his flight gear. So, comrade why do you think command wants to fly over Brazil? Oleg asked Igor, his pilot and long standing friend. I ‘don’t know, and I don’t care. Igor replied. Oh come on, aren’t you the slightest bit interested? No. Not even 1/3 interested? No, not at all. How bout, a slight degree of interest? No, and if you ask me again, I’ll cut out your tongue, even if you are my commanding officer. Igor threatened. The duo then proceeded out onto the tarmac where their aircraft awaited them. The plane was a brand new Tupolov TU-95 Bear. The sun reflected brightly off of the giant planes aluminum covered wings. The two climbed aboard the plane, and Igor headed for the cockpit. Is everyone aboard? Dah, Sergei called from the aircrafts radio room. Ivan and I have already gone over the preflight checklist. Twice? Oleg asked. Is there any another? Good, I’m going to tell Ivan and Igor to get this can off of the ground, the sooner we leave the sooner we can get back.
12 hours later
Canterlot, Equestria
Everyone on the Bear had fallen asleep, with the exception of Igor, who remained awake to fly the lumbering beast. Then all of a sudden the aircraft began to shake, the shaking got so intense, that It awoke everyone. Oleg stumbled into the cockpit. What is going on! He demanded. We seem to be passing through some heavy turbulence. Then as soon as the shaking had begun, it stopped. Have you ever had turbulence pass that quickly? Oleg asked. Neight, Ivan responded. Look! Igor cried. The attention of all of the men was now drawn to a massive castle built into the hillside. They noticed two figures on a balcony. Sergei adjusted the Bears high powered cameras and saw the shock of his life. The two figures were Pegasus unicorns! He immediately began to snap photos. He scanned the surrounding city adjacent to the castle. The entire population seemed to be unicorns, pegsi, and regular ponies. Soon Sergei had taken all of his cameras 500 photos. Send these to Moscow immediately! Oleg ordered, little did he know, he had just ordered the start of a war.

Comrade President, we have our latest photo briefing ready for you, Docotovitich informed. Very good. Putin replied, his voice its usual cold monotone. Putin and Docotovitich then strode into the dark room which formed the foyer of the briefing room. Putin and Docotovitich each removed a key from their coats, and used them to open the large Oak doors that led into the briefing room. Putin sat down at one end of the table, and Docotovitich sat at the other. Several generals and colonels sat along the sides of the table. An aid walked in and whispered into the ears of a general who sat next to Putin. She then handed hind a manila folder. The general stood up and spoke. Comrade President we, have identified intelligent life, that isn’t human. The general drug out the last three words. All of the men at the table took a deep gasp. Docotovitich simply rolled his eyes. Let me guess this life is ponies that can talk correct? Docotovitich asked. Well yes, the general answered. Don’t worry about it, we have known of their existence for many years; in fact I served with one, Shining Armor in 1989 Docotovitich reassured. What are their military capabilities? Putin asked Docotovitich. High, they have no tanks, missiles, jets, or even firearms. But they do have magic, very powerful magic, possibly as powerful as dare I say it as powerful as our military, but they don’t have the prince anymore, so I suppose that they are less powerful in that aspect. Prince? Putin asked. Dah, a powerful prince whose magic was powerful enough to destroy entire countries. However he opposed an Evil pony named Nightmare Moon, and as punishment she imprisoned his body in a temple deep within the Amazon rainforest. Anyone or anypony who finds the temple and reunites his body with his soul will receive $40 billion dollars in gold bars. He will then use his magic for anything you wish. Anything? Putin asked. Anything. Docotovitich said. How do we reunite his soul with his body? A general asked. All you have to do is find his body after opening the door of the temple, and his soul will return.
Call Ptrankativich from Chechnya, we will need his help in the upcoming campaign. Putin ordered. Oh, and Docotovitich, What language do the ponies speak? They Speak English Docotovitich replied. But please comrade President, do not attack Equestria, it will not end well for you. My dear Docotovitich soon the Soviet Union shall be reborn, and you will be rich. We shall use this pony prince’s magic to defeat the Americans and then everything will be easy. Russians shall experience a level of development never before experienced. Docotovitich began to speak, but Putin gestured for him to do, which after saluting he did.
