Load Full StoryNext ChapterA purple pony lay curled up in the corner of her tiny cement cell, unmoving, nonspeaking and limp. She had been here longer than she could remember, she turned her body, making sure not to aggravate the bloodied and bruised spots where her wings used to be. She looked up at the ceiling, watching the dim light of the lamp flickering on and off.
"Good Morning" she had whispered to herself, trying to hold back to tears as she did. She, of course had no perception of time, but she liked to at least imagine that the sun was rising above the mountain, as she looked out of her library window in ponyville. That lamp had been her only company sense the day they got her.
She remembered her friends, but most of there features had vanished with her dreams of escape. She had once hoped that they would find and rescue her, but she knew that they weren't. They probably didn't even know were she was, so Twilight knew she couldn't count on her friends to help her.
A tear trickled down her bruised and dirt covered face as she rubbed her hoof on the cold stone floor, tracing the dark blood covered cracks and crevasses. The cracks seemed to run up along the walls as well making her cell feel even older. The panels on the ceiling had began to fall apart a little when she first arrived, but it had stopped not to long after, making the ceiling look as if it were caving in on itself.
Twilight wished she could see the blue sky, and the warmth of the sun, and most importantly she wished she could leave her cell. She had been out of her cell many times of course, but only to be greeted by artificial light as masked ponies dragged her into a large glass room. Where they would tie her down and inject her with chemicals and liquids. The masked ponies had once put a gag in her mouth, when they brutally cut her open to experiment with new technologies and the reaction of substances.
She began to whimper, flinching at the imaginary pain of the past. She glanced over at the stubs that now replaced her wings, they twitched making Twilight gag, covering her mouth in fear that she would vomit. They had chopped off her wings, as a warning when she had tried to escape a while back. The masked ponies had given her a warning never to attempt to escape again, but she tried a few days ago and was put back into her small square cell.
The purple pony bite her lip in anger. What had she ever done to deserve this? She stopped cold. She listened as she heard ponies trotting down the hall. At this point, she started to panic, looking for something to hide behind, but only thing that even came close to a hiding spot was a dark corner at the far side of the room. But something caught her eye, a wooden door, much like the one attached to her home in Ponyville. It brought back many happy memories, making the frightened pony trot towards the door which had opened on its own. She entered the small door to be greeted by her warm and comfortable library, she spun around trying to make out all of her favorite books and household features. She collapsed onto the wood flooring, tears beginning to trickle down her check.
"Twilight! Were have you been?" shouted a familiar voice. She turned around to be greeted by a small purple dragon. "We've been looking for you everywhere! We had thought you were gone forever," he said beginning to sob.
"Um, I'm sorry, but, do I know you?" Twilight asked.
"Twilight, it's me, Spike!"
Twilight analyzed the dragon for a few seconds, slowly making out familiar facial features. "Spike?" She said as she began to remember the purple dragon she had brought into the world. "Spike!"
"Oh Twilight, we've all missed you so much," he said hugging her friend "Come on lets go find everypony else! They will be so happy to see you again!" Spike said as he dragged Twilight out of her home.
As they left the house, she was greeted by a long dark hallway. She closed her eyes and shook her head. After some time had passed she slowly opened her eyes to be greeting once again by the bright-blue sky and cottage like buildings.
"Pinkie Pie should be around here somewhere" said Spike as he continued to drag twilight down the dirt road.
"Could you please take it easy?" she said to Spike "you're dragging is starting to mess up my coat."
He didn't seem to hear and continued on down the path. The spots were his claws were dragging her started to chaff and burn, as he slowly tore the hair of the purple pony. They stopped at the town hall, Spike let go of her, and walked toward the entrance to the building.
"Alright, we got the test subject as you asked" shouted a large brown unicorn, wearing a white lab coat. The pony had a spiky black mane and a messy tail. Under his eyes were dark circles. Just behind him were two ponies one dark blue and one purple both wearing black masks with a cut out slit for eye holes. He stepped back to let the door slide open.
He and the other two ponies he had worked with brought the cross-eyed alicorn into a bright white room, where they tired her up to a large metallic panel just below a rather large machine representing a drill.
The two work ponies strapped down the purple mares legs and exited the room. The brown pegasus checked all the straps and ties making sure none were loose, and took out a needle labeled Anti-magic and stuck the long rusted needle into the mares upper neck. All of the muscles of the pony came to life, desperately trying to break free of the bonds. The brown stallion turned around to look up at a large window at the top of the room. He saluted to the ponies inside and exited the room.
The white pony with shining purple mane and a pink bow in her hair, inside turned on the machine and furiously slammed buttons and pulled multiple levers.
"Sir, the operation is ready to start," said the white pony.
A sky blue unicorn walked toward her. He was the kind of stallion, that when you stared into his eyes you could feel a sense of loneliness and despair. He walked towards her, his red and black mane hitting his face with each step
"Good, did you make sure that there are no glitches in the system?" he said with a booming voice.
"No sir," she said with a small shudder.
"Good, there must not be any interruptions this time Spotlight Drama. We don't want another half died pony running around the facility."
"Yes sir," she said. "Are we ready to begin?"
"Yes, start it up," he said as he walked toward the closest window.
"Starting in, 3, 2, 1," announced Spotlight Drama, hitting a big red button to her far right.
The machine zapped to life, slowly the drill-like machine started to spin, gaining momentum until it spun in full motion. The machine slowly lowered itself down, until the drill was right about the purple ponie's struggling head. The head pony turned his head toward spotlight drama and nodded, informing her to continue.
The machine began to drill into the restrained ponies head. Even though there was glass between them and the purple alicorn, they could still hear the agonizing scream. The drill went farther tearing a hole into the ponies head, churning the fur, bone, and brain, into one sickening goo. The goo ran down her face, trickling into her mouth. The purple pony stopped struggling and fell limp, the drill vibrating her body.
Twilight stared at the ceiling, letting the light take her. She remembered her friends, and how much time she had spent with them. Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Spike, she hoped that they would continue they life and dreams, and hoped they were happy. She gave in and she went toward the bright searing light, and she thought to herself, "I'm finally going home."
