Applejack's parents had announced that, shortly after Winona was adopted into the family, that they are expecting a new addition. A little filly is expected soon and everyone is super excited. Finally the day comes when Applebloom is born. After a year, her parents decide to take Apple bloom to see Aunt Orange and Uncle Orange, but when they come home on the friendship express, the train crashes and they never come home.
