Twilight Sparkle thought she knew a lot about history. But when she was caught in the Everfree Forest, she comes across a strange being offering her secret knowledge about the past. At first skeptical, Twilight is drawn into the dark and secretive history of the biggest war in recorded history, the Changeling-Pony War, and its hero that laid forgotten in the Everfree Forest for over a thousand years.

This story takes place almost 40 years before Princesses Celestia and Luna began raising the Sun and Moon every day. It follows three ponies and one special pony into the Changeling-Pony War and it's devastating aftermath. With the exception of Twilight Sparkle and locations, all names were made by me and a friend of mine.
