Failure
As darkness wraps around my body, my hooves shimmering in the light. Heh. Funny how the space between dimensions work. Pretty much anything can happen, light and dark combining, chaos and order cooperating... It would have been a perfect blend - the good and the bad combining to create perfect harmony. A kind of Neo-Space if you will, hell would I know what that means - if the author wants to make obscure references, let him. The darkness held my body warmly while the light played with my feet. My wings and horn, both chipped and cracked in that special kind of way that makes you go insane. What did I make of this dark abyss where light and dark, chaos and order, love and hate blend? The hell should I know? I'm a fictional pony for god's sake! But as I fell deeper and deeper, my breath tightening as dark smoke entered my lungs, I know this is the end.

The Funeral
The tingle of pain on the face was surreal.
"How could you?", screamed Rainbow Dash as she fled, tears rushing down her eyes so fast - I was reminded of Niagara Falls.
"No...", I mumbled in her direction. I was uncertain if all of this really wasn't my fault. I set up the prank. I took it too far. Now... she's dead. I remember the slight flush of color from Pinkie's face as her final smile faded with her soul. She was the toughest one. She stood by me... Now she's gone. Tears stung my eyes as I walked away from the funeral.
The service was over... Oh why did it have to take place in the Everfree Forest? The same place where I slipped up - lost my mind? I perched over the coffin. Chairs were thrown, Bibles were shattered, but Pinkie was still here. She was leaning against the side of the coffin, giving that slightly deranged look she always had. Her dark pink hair was ruined and her light pink skin had turned pale. I leaned into the coffin and gave Pinkie a kiss on the forehead.
I felt cold. Memories of Pinkie flushed back to me. The pail of water seemed innocent enough. I strung it on Fluttershy's door and flew off to a nearby tree. It was amusing to see Fluttershy scamper about after the dose of ice cold water. Her pink hair flowed no matter what condition it was in. Guess it's just years of living in nature. Her some-what pale yellow skin was vibrating in a shiver in response to the ice cold liquid that fell atop her.
It amused me. I stood on the tree, laughing my ass off and going ape-shit. Pinkie came walking in. Now, you wouldn't believe Pinkie to be a sensible person, but she matured ever since I became an Alicorn - a combination of Unicorn and Pegasus. For some reason Earth Pony knowledge isn't included - It's like what the hell's up with that? Are we racist? Ahh but Pinkie still retained her scatter-brained sense of humor.
She glared at me, as if she sensed my presence. She had a smile of gold, but I haven't been seeing it often. Her look broke through me like she had heat-vision. She wasn't happy at me.
*sigh* When I became an Alicorn, I pulled pranks on my friends way more than usual. Pinkie was always there to tell everyone it was just a joke. After a while, this was fine...But over the past few days, I've felt our bond being broken. I can't even remember the face that laughed at my jokes and pulled pranks on me.
As Pinkie put her arm around Fluttershy to try and warm her up from her initial shock, I decided then and there I was going to get Pinkie back with a good old fashioned prank.
The next day, I rigged a trap for Pinkie. One that included fried bacon, Celestia's Porn collection and Rapidash. Please don't ask... Anyway, Pinkie went for it. She returned triumphant with bacon in here hand. I've got to hand it to her, she was really crafty to avoid all the traps.
Then, Timerwolves howled in the distance. Pinkie wasn't a girl of fear, she stood there - enjoying her bacon. Dark red luminous eyes appeared in the trees behind Pinkie. The red certainly must of stood out from the green field Pinkie was lying in, but she was oblivious. As I was about to warn her, they began to strike...
The scene happened in slow motion. Pinkie was bitten by the leader of the pack, a large bulky wolf that looked like it's master got lazy for Halloween and tied logs to his face. Pinkie began to ran toward the Everfree forest, but the Timberwolves were relentless. They went tumbling after her.
The next few minutes were a blur. I sat in my hiding spot in shock, fear and wonder. What had I just done?
I went searching for Pinkie. I finally found her in a tiny patch without trees. The vines weren't over grown and the trees seemed fairly young. The grass was soft against my hooves, but I could only think of Pinkie Pie. I ran to her side. She was bleeding over all parts of her body. She had horrible wounds, but the largest was in her neck - four deep bite marks dug all the way to bone.
"Please... no...", I whimpered.
Pinkie just stared at me in her laid down position. Precious minutes passed with none of us speaking. The tension was so thick that you could cut it with a knife. She gave a cough and faced me.
"Never forget my biggest joy in life.", she said with a smile. The smile faded to a frown as the color was flushed from her face. I stood there in awe was the cold spread through my hooves.
The world dissolved around me and I found myself back at the coffin, kissing Pinkie's forehead. I looked at her, and with a faint mumble, I said "I will never forget your laughter."
With that, I turned myself away from the coffin and trotted back to Ponyville.
