This boy, only seventeen years old has only one desire, only one simple wish. All he wants, is to be loved. Sure, his family loved him, but all good things must come to an end. His family consisting of two sisters, one nephew, and his parents, died in a horrible accident. David has been alone ever since. The only thing David had that kept him going was the show MLP, it was not just the show that kept him going, it was a certain character. Rainbow Dash... He loved her, cared for her, he wanted the best for her. Without meaning to do so, she brought him out of a deep and dark depression after his family passed. He loved her, her world, he loved it all. He would even pray at night hoping to awake in their world, but... that never happened. He prayed every night, and he would always end his nights in disappointment, at the thought of the loss of his family, and knowing he would never be able to go to the world of MLP, and knowing he would never be able to see Dashie in person. Or so he thought... People found it hard to believe, even his parents when they were alive, he was very mature for his age... he was always happy... until his family passed, he was always highly respectful, never acted like others his age, not to mention he was also smart, he knew how to build things, he knew how hunt, he knew how to do a lot of things. He had managed to get a job at his young age, enough to support him. He was able to purchase a small cabin far out of town, using his bike to get to and from. Sure everything that belonged to himself and his family were given to him, as well as his parents fortune, but it wasn't much, he sold everything for money, which added to his own fortune that helped pay for his new cabin and other luxuries. He kept his laptop and few other things though. Before he had his cabin and all his little luxuries he could afford, he discovered MLP when walking past a T.V shop one day in the rain. Out of the the grey dull world he was residing in, he saw this bright, colorful, welcoming world just beyond a screen. Ever since he first discovered it, he would come by that shop whenever the owner put the show on, the boy would just sit there on a nearby bench and watch the show, that is how he came to discover the show after his parents past. Now that all that was behind him, he began taking up some extra chores for more money. He would help complete home repairs for people, and he would deliver mail, he did all this just for extra money to keep him going. He pushed on in life, MLP and Rainbow Dash being the only things that keep him inspired to keep living. Being Christian he believed in God, so every night he would pray, he would pray that somehow a miracle would happen. He prayed to go to Equestria since there was nothing left for him on earth. He wanted to live amongst his favorites characters, to be happy, and to be with the last thing left he could care for, but his prayers were never answered... Until one night... his prayers were answered in a whole other way... Author's Note My second fan fic, this is also my first attempt at anything sad, or close to it at least. Keep note I am writing this after being awake for 48 hours with the only thing keeping me awake, being a cup of coffee and a monster energy drink. So mistakes most likely will be present. Amongst the cold winter night, within a forest in Montana, and laying upon a think layer of snow inside a small field, lay a young man. His gaze is upon the stars of that cold night, as he continues to dream about another world, far better than his own. "Heh, I wonder what Dash must be doing right now..." David continued to wonder as he lay upon the snow, the only warmth being his military style jacket He continued to lay there for what seemed like hours, listening to the woodland creatures off in the distance, just laying in peace. David came to this field every week, just to lay down and watch the sky. He would think about his life so far, how he got thus far... and if he'll ever get his simple wish. *BOOM* "Oh frickin! What was that!?" David rose to his feet after being startled by a loud explosion, he searched the sky for a sign of what caused the noise, he spotted what looked like a small portal closing, along with a small object shooting out of it with a small rainbow trail alongside a smoke trail following the object. "What in the name of... what is that..." David began shooting out questions to himself, instead deciding on grabbing his backpack from his bike, loaded with a knife, medical kit, flash light, and other survival kit essentials. He began running towards where he estimated the object would land. As he got closer, he was able to make out the color of the object, it being cyan blue, he lost sight of it thanks to the trees surrounding him. "Crap! Where did it go!?" David began trying to get a look through the mass amounts of pine trees surrounding him, unsuccessfully... until... *SNAP* *SNAP* *CRINKLE* *THUMP* Not too far from his current location, he heard tree branches snapping, as well as something crash into the snow. Setting off in towards the location of the sounds, he soon came upon a gruesome sight. There was a mass clearing in the trees, one of them being knocked over and snapped in half, he then spotted a large trail leading up to a crater, with something inside. Thanks to the tree cover, he couldn't use the moon light to see very well, instead taking out a flashlight and cautiously moving closer. David always happened to be quite brave, he may fear a lot of things, but instead he chose to face them instead of hide behind his... well... he had to face them now that he was alone... 'What is that?' David questioned himself, as he did he saw what looked to be a small amount of purple colored smoke rising from the middle of the crater. He attached his flashlight to a small strap and wrapped it across his forehead, atop his beanie, he then grabbed his knife for safety measures. As soon as he got close enough, he set his foot upon the edge of the crater, glancing in, he couldn't believe what he saw. The very thing he thought he would never see in person, was laying, unconscious in this crater. "Rainbow Dash...?" David was in complete shock, he fell back and landed on his rump, still not sure if this was really happening David pinched himself once he was able to move again, once he was sure this was real, he holstered his knife and jump into the crater. After several years of being on his own he learned a lot of medical skills and survival skills, he began examining the mare for what ever damage was done to her through this horrible event. He noticed that her wing was dislocated, easy fix for him, she had plenty of bruises and cuts, one major gash across her stomach though not enough to kill her. He took the time he had to clean and bandage her minor injuries. Thanks to luck, he was able to clean the large cut across her stomach and bandage it for now, he then turned to the last major injurie, her wing... knowing she was unconscious he used the chance to pop her wing back in place. He got a firm grip, then pushed as hard as he could, he soon heard a loud pop meaning it was back in place, but when this happened her eyes shot open. She bucked her back left leg and hit David square in the face, giving him a bloody nose. When he look at her again, he noticed she was still unconscious, so it was just a normal reaction. Now that her major issues were dealt with, David noticed her body was shivering from the cold winter air. He took his jacket off and wrapped it around her, picking her up in his arms. She was roughly 4'6 feet tall. Not too much smaller than David, but he was still able to carry her, being a Pegasus meant she was very light, but still very strong. He created a makeshift wagon from some of his supplies and nearby nature and attached it to his bike. Knowing her condition he pedaled as best he could but also took the smoothest route back to his small cabin within the forest. 'There is a reason why she is here... why would she be sent here though? And why was she sent here in such a terrible way?' David began questioning himself trying to figure out just how this all happened... while he wanted to see Rainbow Dash in person, he never wanted her to get hurt like this. So it begins..."Ugh..." Rainbow Dash woke but did not open her eyes because she felt a cloth of some kind wrapped around the top of her head. "Twilight... what spell was that!?" Rainbow Dash began complaining as the aching pain came to her as she regained her senses "Twilight? Hello!?" *Silence* "Great... I guess I'm alone. Where am I?" Rainbow Dash sat up on the bed she resides in as she began to unravel the bandages on her head. "Whatever happened, I doubt I need these anymore..." After unwrapping the bandages off her eyes and ears, she could hear more clearly and could make out snoring coming from outside the room she was in, she began to slowly crack hers eyes open only to finally realize it's still dark outside based on the amount of light coming through the window. As she continued looking around the room, she began to panic as she noticed how different the design is to every house she has seen in Ponyville, the roof was taller, along with the only window in her room, as well as the door, it was taller and skinnier, obviously for a tall thin being. "Where am I!? Where's here anyway!?" Rainbow Dash began shooting questions out as she attempted to unfurl her wings, only to notice that one of them is wrapped in bandages, she felt a slight ache and pain come from the joint as well as the feeling of pains from a burn. "What happened? Twilight said she was only practicing a basic warp spell..." *Mumble* Rainbow Dash was cut out of her thoughts as she heard a slight mumbling as well as some snoring coming from the other side of the door, being cautious she rose and silently trotted over to the door, opening it a crack to peak into the hall. The snoring got louder, even if it was just slightly. She pushed the door open and crept into the hallway, slowly but surely making her way down the hall, she peeked around a corner and looked into what looked like the living room. She spotted a figure laying on the couch asleep, it's head was resting on the arm rest and it's body was laying along the length of the couch, his feet, still covered in boots, were propped up on the other arm rest and both hands were laying on his stomach, fingers wrapped around each other. Curiosity got the best of her as she slowly crept her way towards the being in a stance like a cat stalking it's prey. "Mom... no... dun leave..." Rainbow Dash froze like a statue in her tracks as she heard the creature mumble in it's sleep, based off it's figure on how deep the voice is, she assumed it to be a young male. David's dream "Mom! No, not like this!" David yelled as he held his dying mother in his arms "David... it's alright... be... h-h-appy... don't give up... never... alone...." David's mom said with a weak smile, slowly her eyes closed on her last few words, she slowly breathed out... then her chest stopped rising... "Mom..." David closed his eyes as he held his mother's body as close to his as he could, as several tears made their way down his cheeks, dripping off onto the concrete. Rainbow Dash continued to watch the being sleep as she noticed a single tear slowly stream down the creatures cheek, dripping off onto the couch. "What is it dreaming abo-" Dash was cut off as she noticed the creature's eyes slowly open. She made her way behind a blue bean bag opposite of the couch and prone behind it. "Damn... that nightmare again." David said in a groggy voice as he woke in a cold sweat. "Anyway I need to get my mind off of that... I wonder how she's doing?" Doing asked to no one in particular. David rose from the couch and walked into the kitchen while taking a look at his watch "Uh... okay it's six a.m. I guess I'll get breakfast started... I wonder if she likes pancakes?" Rainbow Dash took the chance of him being in the kitchen to get back to the room she was in, after watching him she assumed he was most likely friendly seeing as he fixed her wounds and was making her breakfast... also he didn't look violent but she deemed it necessary to remain cautious since she has never seen his race before. After successfully sneaking her way back to the room she was in, she took a moment to look at the design of the house. The walls were painted a very light blue, and the doors were painted a silk black. She figured this to be the master bedroom, and the only bedroom in the house, the only other rooms she saw was a bathroom, closet, all connected by a hall way that led to the living room which was split in the middle to lead into the kitchen which had a small bar next to the entrance, she assumed the entrance to the house was in between the kitchen and living room. After waiting about thirty minutes while sitting on the bed and examining her injuries, she heard the door to the room open slightly. She looked up to spot the creature slowly making his way into the room, he had his head hung low while carrying a small tray with a plate of pancakes on it as well as a cup of some kind of juice. She felt a small lump form in her throat as she watched the being slowly entering the room, she still had fear for it since it was completely unknown to her what it's intentions were. After getting through the door, he slowly lifted his head back up with a warm smile on his face, as soon as he spotted her looking at him, his face went blank and he froze like a statue. They simply sat there for what felt like years simply staring at each other, both thinking about what to do. To break the awkward fog that hung in the air, David spoke up. "Um... hey... uh... I made some breakfast, and don't worry, I do not want to hurt you... heh... David put on the best smile he could at this point, only managing to bring out a very awkward crooked smile She still didn't answer him, only managing to stare at him. David took this chance and quickly set the tray on the nightstand next to the bed and backed off quickly. When he looked at her, it looked like she had just seen a ghost. 'You're fucking stupid David! Why did you rush like that? Of course she is going to be scared of you!' David began cursing himself as he saw the look on her face, so he decided to leave the room quickly to let her calm down. "Wait..." David heard her call out as he turned around to leave, he stopped dead in his tracks and turned back around. "Where am I? Also, what happened?" She began questioning him but still looked terrified. "W-well... I was stargazing two days ago, when... when I heard a loud explosion above me in the night sky... it was lightly snowing so it wasn't that easy to see but I spotted what looked like a p-portal open when you came shooting through it with a small rainbow colored smoke trail following... I was able to find where you crashed. I cleaned your wounds, you had a few minor burns and your wing was dislocated, you also had a few cuts and a large gash across your stomach. I was able to clean and fix everything, I'm no doctor but you should make a full recovery though you will have a few scars but they should remain hidden well under your fur..." David concluded his story while avoiding eye contact, mostly looking at the floor and holding his hands behind his back to appear less threatening. "Oh... also you're on earth..." David looked back at her to see her staring at the floor, a looked of disbelief on her face. "Well, I'll let you eat... the name's David by the way." David spoke hoping to snap her back to reality. "Rainbow Dash..." She spoke without looking back up David nodded his head and walked out the door, closing it gently behind him. David's room "Earth... where did Twilight send me!?" Rainbow Dash began to feel a pit form in her stomach as she began to worry Rainbow Dash then realized how hungry she was while rapidly thinking about what to do... "Okay... just calm down, you're Rainbow Dash for crying out loud! Just eat, then you can figure out how to get back to Equestria..." [Quick annoucement]Okay, I went through and did some editing now that I found some time to do so. I boosted the age of the main character so he isn't so young and did a few other things. Also, I just realized how this does sound quite a bit like, "My Little Dashie" mostly from the first chapter but still. I had no intentions of copying My little Dashie in any way... also this story isn't going to always be just boring 'David trying to go through life with Dashie by his side!'. Nah, it's going to get quite heated later in the story (NOT SEXUALLY YOU PERVERTED MINDED PEOPLE). I mean there will be a lot of action later and so on. Anyway, thank you for giving this story a chance, I see I'm getting a few dislikes so if anyone can point out what is so bad that would be greatly appreciated. (Also, one of the things I edited was the religion. He is still Christian but not as crazy anymore.)

David heard her call out as he turned around to leave, he stopped dead in his tracks and turned back around. "Where am I? Also, what happened?" She began questioning him but still looked terrified. "W-well... I was stargazing two days ago, when... when I heard a loud explosion above me in the night sky... it was lightly snowing so it wasn't that easy to see but I spotted what looked like a p-portal open when you came shooting through it with a small rainbow colored smoke trail following... I was able to find where you crashed. I cleaned your wounds, you had a few minor burns and your wing was dislocated, you also had a few cuts and a large gash across your stomach. I was able to clean and fix everything, I'm no doctor but you should make a full recovery though you will have a few scars but they should remain hidden well under your fur..." David concluded his story while avoiding eye contact, mostly looking at the floor and holding his hands behind his back to appear less threatening. "Oh... also you're on earth..." David looked back at her to see her staring at the floor, a looked of disbelief on her face. "Well, I'll let you eat... the name's David by the way." David spoke hoping to snap her back to reality. "Rainbow Dash..." She spoke without looking back up David nodded his head and walked out the door, closing it gently behind him. David's room "Earth... where did Twilight send me!?" Rainbow Dash began to feel a pit form in her stomach as she began to worry Rainbow Dash then realized how hungry she was while rapidly thinking about what to do... "Okay... just calm down, you're Rainbow Dash for crying out loud! Just eat, then you can figure out how to get back to Equestria..."
[Quick annoucement]Okay, I went through and did some editing now that I found some time to do so. I boosted the age of the main character so he isn't so young and did a few other things. Also, I just realized how this does sound quite a bit like, "My Little Dashie" mostly from the first chapter but still. I had no intentions of copying My little Dashie in any way... also this story isn't going to always be just boring 'David trying to go through life with Dashie by his side!'. Nah, it's going to get quite heated later in the story (NOT SEXUALLY YOU PERVERTED MINDED PEOPLE). I mean there will be a lot of action later and so on. Anyway, thank you for giving this story a chance, I see I'm getting a few dislikes so if anyone can point out what is so bad that would be greatly appreciated. (Also, one of the things I edited was the religion. He is still Christian but not as crazy anymore.)
