//-------------------------------------------------------// The BigMac Horror Pony Show -by DarkKitty94- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// An Engagement //-------------------------------------------------------// An Engagement The doors to the Ponyville Church flung open as newlyweds Shining Armour and Cadence burst out, followed by their friends and family who were steadily offering congratulations and wishes for the future. Mayor Mare, who had married the two, shook shining Armour by the hoof and congratulated him as he slipped her a pouch of twenty bits.   Soarin, a young stallion and friend to Shining Armour approached him to offer his congratulations. “Well, Soarin, I guess we made it huh!” Shining said, shaking Soarin’s hoof.    “Well I don't think there was any doubt about that, you and Cadence have been almost inseparable ever since you sat in on Dr Whooves' refresher lectures.” Soarin said to Shining.   “Tell you the truth Soarin, she was the only reason I came in the first place. Science was never one of my favourite subjects but I sure wish Dr Whooves could have made it today.” Shining replied, chuckling slightly.   “Yes, Fluttershy and I are both fond of him. We drove over to see him last vacation. It's a shame his new job took him away from Ponyville.” Fluttershy was Soarin’s marefriend, though he often called her Flutters for short.   They were interrupted by Cadence throwing her bouquet of flowers, which was expertly caught by Fluttershy, giving rise to a large cheer from the guests. Shining Armour playfully punched Soarin on the arm. “Hey fella, it looks like it could be your turn next.” He said, winking.   “Who knows…ha ha.” Soarin replied half-heartedly. He said goodbye to his friend as Shining Armour and Cadence left in a carriage. The other guests began to leave, leaving Fluttershy and Soarin at the Church with an odd looking family. The mother and father of the family stood outside the church doors, while their daughter went inside.   Fluttershy wandered over to her coltfriend, still holding the bouquet. “Oh Soarin, wasn't it wonderful. Didn't Cadence look radiantly beautiful?  Just an hour ago she was plain old Cadence.  Now she's Mrs Shining Armour!” she gushed.   “Er…yes Flutters. Shining is a lucky guy.” Soarin replied, gazing after their carriage, thinking about something. They began to wander around the church grounds.   “Yes.” Fluttershy responded.   “Everyone knows Cadence is a wonderful little cook.”   “Yes.”   “And Shining himself will be in line for promotion in a year or so…” Soarin trailed off.   “Yes.” Fluttershy said again. Soarin suddenly turned around to face her.   “Hey Flutters,” He began.   “Yes, Soarin?”   “I’ve got something to say.”   “Uh-huh.”   “I really loved the...skillful way you beat the other girls to the bride's bouquet.” He said to her, smiling.   “Oh Soarin...” Fluttershy said, smiling back. Soarin began to sing to her.   “The river was deep but I swam it.” The other couple, who were busy working, simply said “Flutters.”   “The future is ours so let's plan it.” Soarin continued   “Flutters.”   “So please don't tell me to can it.”   “Flutters.”   “I've one thing to say and that's Dammit, Fluttershy, I love you. The road was long but I ran it.” He sang, running backward towards the church. “Flutters.”   Soarin climbed onto the fence. “There’s a fire in my heart and you fan it.” He warbled, jumping off the fence.   “Flutters.”   “If there's one fool for you then I am it.”   “Flutters.” Soarin produced a piece of chalk from his pocket. “I've one thing to say and that's Dammit, Fluttershy,” he drew a heart on the doors of the church. “I love you!” The older stallion cleaned the heart off the doors as Fluttershy trotted over to Soarin, who proceeded to kneel in front of her and produce a bracelet from his pocket. “Here’s a bracelet to prove that I’m no joker.” He continued to sing, while the couple entered the church. “There's three ways that love can grow, that's good bad or mediocre.” Fluttershy grabbed the bracelet from his clutches and placed it onto her hoof. She drops the bouquet and goes to fall into Soarin’s arms, but catches herself  before falling as he ran to chalk on the church doors again. “Oh F-L-U-T-T-E-R-S I love you so!” Fluttershy, transfixed by the bracelet bursts into the church, followed by Soarin.   “Oh!......It’s nicer than Cadence had!” Fluttershy sang, still gazing at the engagement bracelet. The mother from the family that had been cleaning the exterior of the church a moment ago popped her head up from behind one of the pews.   “Soarin.” She said.   “Now we’re engaged and I’m so glad!” Fluttershy continued to sing, smiling.   “Soarin.” Said the mother and daughter, who had both popped up from behind the pew and ducked back down again.   “That you met Mom and you know Dad.”   “Soarin.” Said the whole family, who had popped up together and ducked back down yet again.   “I’ve one thing to say and that’s oh Soarin, I’m mad for you too.” Fluttershy and Soarin begat to walk through the church, linking their forelegs. The family left the church thought the vestry doors. “Oh Soarin,” Fluttershy sang, leaning her head on his shoulder. “Oh, dammit.” Soarin sang back.   “I’m mad…” Fluttershy continued, unlinking her foreleg and caressing his cheek with her hoof.   “Oh Flutters.”   “For you.” Soarin briefly kissed Fluttershy. “I love you too.” He turned to her and took her hooves in his own, while the family carried a coffin into the church.   “There’s one thing left to do” Soarin and Fluttershy sang together. Soaring dropped her hooves again.   “And that's go see the colt who began it.” He began singing again.   “Flutters.” The family said while holding the coffin.   “When we met in his science exam, it-”   “Flutters.” The family said, interrupting Soarin.   “Made me give you the eye then panic.”   “Flutters.” The family said again while lowering the coffin onto the ground.    “I’ve got one thing to say and that’s dammit, Fluttershy. I love you.” Soarin sang, hugging Fluttershy. “Dammit, Flutters.”   “Oh Soarin, I’m mad…” Fluttershy sang, while admiring the bracelet again.”   “Dammit, Flutters.” They both knelt on the floor, facing each other.   “I love you.” They sang together, kissing.
