Darkness. Using her unicorn magic, the pony cast a faint light . It was still dark. She calmly took a step, curious to see what would happen. There was no floor but her hoof landed as if there was. "What is this place?" She asked herself. There was no echo. Suddenly her light flickered and went out. She couldn't tell if her eyes were even open. She flicked her light back on, but to her surprise streamers and confetti flew from her horn, softly landing on the... ground? She watched as the colorful paper fell until she could no longer see it. She put her hoof down where the confetti should have landed and it was solid. "What the hay?" She tapped it lightly and a large crack appeared. Her eyes went wide. The "floor" gave way and she began to fall.

Twilight's eyes burst open and she quickly sat up. She was sweating. She wiped her forehead and felt her heartbeat. Her pulse was racing. "What kind of dream was that?"

"What was that?" Spike walked in carrying some waffles and coffee. Twilight looked up and smiled.

"Oh, nothing," she said as she took the plate from him. "Thank you, Spike. What kind of coffee is that?"

He sighed, "Double Ristretto Venti Half-Soy Nonfat Decaf Organic Chocolate Brownie Iced Vanilla Double-Shot Gingerbread Frappuccino Extra Hot With Foam Whipped Cream Upside Down Double Blended One Sweet'N Low and One Nutrasweet, and Ice...."

"Just the way I like it! Spike, you're the best," she said as she took a sip.

"Yeah yeah, whatever..." Spike left the room as Twilight began to eat her waffles. She was still wondering about that dream. What was with the floor? Why was it so dark? WHY STREAMERS AND CONFETTI??? She took a deep breath and finished her meal. She gulped the last of her coffee and finally got out of bed. She levitated her brush and started to run it through her mane as she walked down the stairs. She went to her bookshelves and looked around until she found the book she was looking for. She walked to the door while setting down her brush, putting on her saddlebag and sliding the book inside.

"SPIKE! I'm going to sugarcube corner! Can you organize the books while I'm out?" She opened the door as she heard a muffled noise from another room. "THANKS!" She trotted out the door and down the road to her friend's workplace. The girls might be able to help figure out this dream of her's. She doesn't normally have them so it was strange that she did and the plot of it made it even weirder. She spotted a familiar white rabbit hopping into the sweet shop and she smiled. Fluttershy was already there.
