A peaceful town. It has many little shops, a schoolhouse, even a day spa. A bakery, a library, a dress shop, even a neighboring apple farm. Yet, it's the residents that make it special. The ponies here are very nice, and just about everypony knows everypony else. But among these residents, are six very special ponies that have the power to save Equestria... "Hey Dashie, I dare you to put a cupcake in your mouth and say 'I was born on a pirate ship'!". "Heh, nothing to it!" answered Rainbow Dash, never denying a challenge. She took one of the pink mare's chocolate cupcakes from the table, and shoved it in her mouth. After chewing a little, she began: "I wuz bo'n on a pila-" "Cut it, sugarcube." interrupted Applejack. Pinkie Pie started to have a giggle fit on Twilight's rug at Rainbow Dash's potential mishap. At that moment, Twilight Sparkle came into the room with Spike, Fluttershy and Rarity, who had prepared a pancake breakfast for all of them. It was the morning after a sleepover at Twilight's house, which Twilight counted as another success. "Well, what happened here?" asked Twilight, staring at Pinkie, still rolling on the ground. "Heh, ain't nothing happen here, Twilight." answered Applejack, chuckling a little. "Nothing ait'all..." Rainbow swallowed her cupcake, then looked at Applejack with a worried look. "Wh-what was I about to say?!" she said frantically. Pinkie settled down, and waved a hoof at Rainbow. "Oh, Dashie, it was nothing. Now, let's eat some PANCAKES!" Pinkie bounced over to the table where Twilight and the others had placed the tall stacks of golden, steaming pancakes. The others gathered around, their tummies rumbling and mouths watering. "Spike, can you get us the syrup?" asked Twilight. "Coming right up!" Spike cheered, and headed to the kitchen. "...uh-oh..." "What is it Spike?" Spike came back from the kitchen holding a jar upside down and shaking it by its handle. "We're all out!" *GASP!* "Don't worry, everypony," Pinkie proclaimed, "I got plenty at Sugarcube Corner! I'll be back in a jiffy!" And she darted out the room. ~ ~ ~ There was a chilly breeze. The sound of a rumble of thunder resonated in the distance, with a flash not long before. It all happened so suddenly... The morning blossomed, with Celestia's sun warmly greeting the residents of Equestria. The birds swiftly glided through the dew on the apple trees, and landed on their nests at the sound of their hatchlings. The clouds being lightly cleared away as the morning pegasi make way for the sunlight. Early risers were already starting their day as some ponies we're already scattered on the streets. One of these ponies coming in from the main street entering town. Midnight blue was his coat and wings, his mane and tail consisted of broad stripes of deep black and navy blue, and his eyes a deep coffee black. He was observing the little village left and right. Listening in the many conversations of the townspeople, but not for too long to be considered eavesdropping. His pace was slow, but his heart rate quick. He tries to keep a distance from the ponies walking around him, too sacred to ask for any help. However, some ponies have the courtesy to say a "Good morning!" as he walks by. He is startled at first, looking around to see if they were really speaking to him, then waves and smiles back. Yet, he remains silent. Walking deeper into town, he begins to tense up even more as there is more ponies concentrated into this area. At the same time, he is still oddly observant and seems mesmerized at the new place is in. This town seems oddly familiar... Suddenly, he hears a bouncing sound coming from somewhere. He looks around, and suddenly skitters his hooves before- "OOF!" He tumbles on the floor, and is now covered in a thick amber-colored liquid and seasoned in dry dirt. Lying on the street, he tries sitting up, looking at the mess on his coat. "Whoopsies! Sorry about that!" He clears some of the syrup from his eyes with his hooves, and looks at the pink mare in from of him, covered in dirt in some places. She has an uneasy smile, but then, she has a surprised face all of a sudden. "Hey! You're new here, aren't you?" He is startled, and his eyes widen about her sudden realization. "Oh, I know everypony in this town. But I've never seen you before, so that means you're new, and if you're new here you must not have any friends and the you'd be sad, but don't worry, Pinkie's here to give you a great, big welcoming party! What's you're name, where are you from? Do you like cupcakes? I mean, who doesn't like cupcakes? Well, unless you're allergic, but that'd be really sad beacuse-" She suddenly stopped when she realized he was just sitting there, still with wide eyes. "Oh, whoops, sorry. My friends always tell me I'm too excessive but I just can't help it because you're new here, and that means a new friend! But I'll start again: what's you name?" He just sat there, frozen. Enough time for more of the sticky syrup to drizzle down on his forehead, which he wiped off slowly. Then, he sputtered: "Uh.....uh, um..." "Hmm?" Pinkie tilted her head. "Uh, I'm...I'm..." "Wow, you're just like my friend Fluttershy! She was like this too when I met her! Hm, I wonder what happens when you put two shy ponies together? Do they get along quickly, or do they act extra shy? Oh, I have an idea: why don't you come and meet her! And my other friends too! Oh, this is gonna be great! Come on!" She started jumping off deeper into town. The shy blue colt hesitated.... ...but she seemed..welcoming. Trustworthy. He started to walk, following the cheery pink mare, but the syrup caused his hooves to the ground with every step. Pinkie looked back, and noticed him far behind, struggling a little. She bounced back over. "Oh, I see you're in a sticky situation," she giggled, "but don't worry! I know who can clean that up for ya!" ~ ~ ~ The blue colt stood there shivering, dripping in rainwater. He instinctively shook himself dry. "Haha, you took that better than Twilight when I met her." scoffed the sky blue pegasus with a rainbow mane, as she was the one who had awoken a cascade of water from the little gray cloud. "Um...thanks!" the colt quickly said up to her, then looked at the ground as if he was trying to hide his voice. "No sweat! Say, what's your name, sport?" "Um, it's...it-" "I asked him that earlier, but he seemed so shy, which reminded me of Fluttershy, which got me the idea that he should all of us!" the pink mare cheered. The pegasus colt was finding her a little intimidating, but nevertheless, he was still grateful of how friendly she had been. "Ah think you made him more nervous, Pinkie." said the orange country mare. She then looked towards him, and he tensed up a little. "It's alright, sugarcube. I know Pinkie was a little bit...pushy, but don't worry about-" "Pushy?" questioned the pink mare. "I wasn't being pushy, was I?" "Well, um, no....it's ju-" "See!?" "Oh, for Celestia's sake, let him talk!" the purple unicorn suddenly spoke up. The blue colt gave her an uneasy smile, then said, "Um, thanks.'' "No problem" she also gave an uneasy laugh. "Nice cutie mark, by the way." He became wide-eyed, and then looked behind at his flank. There was a golden shooting star with little, different-colored stars surrounding it. Then, he remembered. "Oh, thanks!", he spoke up, this time with resurgence of confidence. He noticed her mark had a similar shape. "Yours is really nice too!" "Aw shucks, would you looky here! All he needed was a gosh-darn compliment!" the country mare said, with a small chuckle. "Yeah....sorry.." he said, scratching the back of head. "It wasn't really that, it's just..." "Aw, it's alright, sugarcube, don't fret about it." she smiled. "How about we introduce ourselves first." She walked over towards him, and gave a hoof to shake. "Mah name's Applejack, and my family owns Ponyville's own apple farm, Sweet Apple Acres!" The pink mare than suddenly popped from above him out of nowhere, saying, "Oh, I guess I didn't give you a full welcome! I'm Pinkie Pie, and I'm a pastry chef at the local Sugarcube Corner! I'm also your mare if want a party to celebrate just about anything!" Also above her, was the rainbow mare who had just given him a shower. "Oh yeah, I'm Rainbow Dash, local weather pony, future Wonderbolt! And I'M your mare if you want the sky cleared in 10 seconds flat!" "Trust me, she can." said the purple
